The optimal multirate design of linear, continuous-time, periodic and time-invariant systems is considered. It is based on solving the continuous linear quadratic regulation (LQR) problem with the control being constrained to a certain piecewise constant feedback. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the asymptotic stability of the resulting closed-loop system are given. An explicit multirate feedback law that requires the solution of an algebraic discrete Riccati equation is presented. Such control is simple and can be easily implemented by digital computers. When applied to linear time-invariant systems, multirate optimal feedback optimal control provides a satisfactory response even if the state is sampled relatively slowly. Compared to the classical single-rate sampled-data feedback in which the state is always sampled at the same rate, the multirate system can provide a better response with a considerable reduction in the optimal cost. In general, the multirate scheme offers more flexibility in choosing the sampling rates  相似文献

State-feedback H/sub /spl infin// control problem for linear singularly perturbed systems with norm-bounded uncertainties is studied. The fast variables are sampled with fast rates, while for the slow variables both cases of slow and of fast sampling are considered. The recent "input delay" approach to sampled-data control is applied, where the closed-loop system is represented as a continuous one with time-varying input delay. Linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) for solution of H/sub /spl infin// control problem are derived via input-output approach to stability and L/sub 2/-gain analysis of time-delay systems. A numerical example illustrates the efficiency of the method.  相似文献

This work investigates the problem of robust output feedback H/sub /spl infin// control for a class of uncertain discrete-time fuzzy systems with time delays. The state-space Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model with time delays and norm-bounded parameter uncertainties is adopted. The purpose is the design of a full-order fuzzy dynamic output feedback controller which ensures the robust asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system and guarantees an H/sub /spl infin// norm bound constraint on disturbance attenuation for all admissible uncertainties. In terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), a sufficient condition for the solvability of this problem is presented. Explicit expressions of a desired output feedback controller are proposed when the given LMIs are feasible. The effectiveness and the applicability of the proposed design approach are demonstrated by applying this to the problem of robust H/sub /spl infin// control for a class of uncertain nonlinear discrete delay systems.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the problem of robust H/sub /spl infin// performance and stabilization for a class of uncertain fuzzy systems with Frobenius norm-bounded parameter uncertainties in all system matrices. Both continuous- and discrete-time uncertain fuzzy systems are considered under a unified treatment called bounded real lemma for fuzzy systems. Unlike the bounded real lemma in the linear theory of robust H/sub /spl infin// control where necessary and sufficient conditions were obtained, only sufficient condition based on Lyapunov method is shown. Furthermore, connection between robust H/sub /spl infin// problems involving uncertainty and standard uncertainty-free H/sub /spl infin// problems is established via matrix algebra. As for controller synthesis, a state feedback fuzzy control law is designed via relaxed linear matrix inequality (LMI) formulations.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the problem of robust control for uncertain sampled-data systems that possess random jumping parameters which is described by a finite-state Markov process. The conditions for the existence of a stabilizing control and optimal control for the underlying systems are obtained. The desired controllers are designed which are in terms of matrix inequalities. Finally, a numerical example is given to show the potential of the proposed techniques.  相似文献

Generally, it is difficult to design equalizers for signal reconstruction of nonlinear communication channels with uncertain noises. In this paper, we propose the H/sub /spl infin// and mixed H/sub 2//H/sub /spl infin// filters for equalization/detection of nonlinear channels using fuzzy interpolation and linear matrix inequality (LMI) techniques. First, the signal transmission system is described as a state-space model and the input signal is embedded in the state vector such that the signal reconstruction (estimation) design becomes a nonlinear state estimation problem. Then, the Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy linear model is applied to interpolate the nonlinear channel at different operation points through membership functions. Since the statistics of noises are unknown, the fuzzy H/sub /spl infin// equalizer is proposed to treat the state estimation problem from the worst case (robust) point of view. When the statistics of noises are uncertain but with some nominal (or average) information available, the mixed H/sub 2//H/sub /spl infin// equalizer is employed to take the advantage of both H/sub 2/ optimal performance with nominal statistics of noises and the H/sub /spl infin// robustness performance against the statistical uncertainty of noises. Using the LMI approach, the fuzzy H/sub 2//H/sub /spl infin// equalizer/detector design problem is characterized as an eigenvalue problem (EVP). The EVP can be solved efficiently with convex optimization techniques.  相似文献

Stability analysis and control of linear impulsive systems is addressed in a hybrid framework, through the use of continuous-time time-varying discontinuous Lyapunov functions. Necessary and sufficient conditions for stability of impulsive systems with periodic impulses are first provided in order to set up the main ideas. Extensions to the stability of aperiodic systems under minimum, maximum and ranged dwell-times are then derived. By exploiting further the particular structure of the stability conditions, the results are non-conservatively extended to quadratic stability analysis of linear uncertain impulsive systems. These stability criteria are, in turn, losslessly extended to stabilization using a particular, yet broad enough, class of state-feedback controllers, providing then a convex solution to the open problem of robust dwell-time stabilization of impulsive systems using hybrid stability criteria. Relying finally on the representability of sampled-data systems as impulsive systems, the problems of robust stability analysis and robust stabilization of periodic and aperiodic uncertain sampled-data systems are straightforwardly solved using the same ideas. Several examples are discussed in order to show the effectiveness and reduced complexity of the proposed approach.  相似文献

The problem of robust sampled-data control for uncertain dynamic systems in the presence of missing data has been investigated. By using stochastic variables with a Bernoulli distributed white sequence to model missing data, along with time-varying norm-bounded uncertainties, and the input delay approach for sampled-data systems, two models for the considered sampled-data control system are proposed as the consecutive missing data scenario. Moreover, when data are missing, the control signals are held as the last received data. Sufficient conditions for the existence of desired robust sampled-data controllers are presented in the form of a linear matrix inequality. A numerical example is given to illustrate the validity of the proposed methods and to compare the results between the two proposed models of the sampled-data control system.  相似文献

In this note, sufficient conditions for H/sub /spl infin// output feedback stabilization of linear discrete-time systems are proposed via linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). In order to reduce conservatism existing in earlier LMI methods, auxiliary slack variables with structure are employed. It is shown that degree of freedoms by the introduction of auxiliary slack variables lead to more flexibility in obtaining an approximate solution of H/sub /spl infin// output feedback stabilization problems. Consequently, the proposed method can yield a less conservative result than earlier LMI methods. In particular, typical output feedback control problems, such as decentralized H/sub /spl infin// output feedback control and simultaneous H/sub /spl infin// output feedback control, can be more efficiently solved. Numerical examples are included to illustrate the advantages of the proposed LMI method.  相似文献

In practice, the system is often modeled as a continuous-time fuzzy system, while the control input is applied only at discrete instants. This system is called a sampled-data control system. In this paper, robust guaranteed cost control for uncertain sampled-data fuzzy systems is discussed. A guaranteed cost control where a quadratic cost function is bounded by a certain scalar, not only stabilizes a system but also considers a control performance. A typical sampled-data control is the zero-order input, which can be represented as a piecewise-continuous delay. Here we take a delay system approach to the sampled-data guaranteed cost control problem. The closed-loop system with a sampled-data state feedback controller becomes a system with time-varying delay. First, guaranteed cost control performance conditions for the closed-loop system are given in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Such conditions are derived by using Leibniz–Newton formula and free weighting matrix method for fuzzy systems under the assumption that sampling time is not greater than some prescribed scalar. Then, a design method of robust guaranteed cost state feedback controller for uncertain sampled-data fuzzy systems is proposed. Examples are given to illustrate our robust sampled-data guaranteed cost control design.  相似文献

Linear periodically time-varying (LPTV) systems are abundant in control and signal processing; examples include multirate sampled-data control systems and multirate filter-bank systems. In this paper, several ways are proposed to quantify aliasing effect in discrete-time LPTV systems; these are associated with optimal time-invariant approximations of LPTV systems using operator norms.  相似文献

The robust H∞ control problem for discrete-time uncertain systems is investigated in this paper. The uncertain systems are modelled as a polytopic type with linear fractional uncertainty in the vertices. A new linear matrix inequality (LMI) characterization of the H∞ performance for discrete systems is given by introducing a matrix slack variable which decouples the matrix of a Lyapunov function candidate and the parametric matrices of the system. This feature enables one to derive sufficient conditions for discrete uncertain systems by using parameter-dependent Lyapunov functions with less conservativeness. Based on the result, H∞ performance analysis and controller design are carried out. A numerical example is included to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.  相似文献

A stability criterion is developed for linear, asynchronous multirate sampled-data systems. Such systems typically include a linear, time variant, continuous-time plant and several unsynchronized digital controllers. The analysis method uses a time-domain approach based on the closed-loop state transition matrix. The result is sufficient stability criterion which gives an objective measure of long-term and short-term stability. A simple example illustrates the method  相似文献

Conditions for robust stability of linear time-invariant systems subject to structured linear time-invariant uncertainties can be derived in the complex /spl mu/ framework, or, equivalently, in the framework of integral quadratic constraints. These conditions can be checked numerically with linear matrix inequality (LMI)-based convex optimization using the Kalman-Yakubovich-Popov lemma. We show how LMI tests also yield a convex parametrization of (a subset of) Lyapunov functionals that prove robust stability of such uncertain systems. We show that for uncertainties that are pure delays, the Lyapunov functionals reduce to the standard Lyapunov-Krasovksii functionals that are encountered in the stability analysis of delay systems. We demonstrate the practical utility of the Lyapunov functional parametrization by deriving bounds for a number of measures of robust performance (beyond the usual H/sub /spl infin// performance); these bounds can be efficiently computed using convex optimization over linear matrix inequalities.  相似文献

The problem of optimal rejection of bounded persistent disturbances is solved in the case of linear discrete-time periodic systems. The solution consists of solving an equivalent time-invariant standard l1 optimization problem subject to an additional constraint. This constraint assures the causality of the resulting periodic controller. By the duality theory, the problem is shown to be equivalent to a linear programming problem, which is no harder than the standard l1 problem. Also, it is shown that the method of solution presented applies exactly to the problem of disturbance rejection in the case of multirate sampled data systems. Finally, the results are applied to the problem of robust stabilization of periodic and multirate systems  相似文献

This paper presents observer-based robust fault detection for multirate sampled-data linear system. It is assumed that all plant inputs are updated with a unique sampling period and that the plant outputs are sampled uniformly at integer multiples of the input sampling period. A state observer is constructed, as in the single-rate case, and a residual generator is derived. The paper shows that the residual signals can be decoupled from noise and disturbances. An illustrative numerical example is provided.  相似文献

All linear multirate controllers for a given multirate sampled-data system plant are parameterized in terms of a single parameter Q(z) that is allowed to be any stable transfer matrix provided that certain causality conditions are met. The result parallels a well-known parameterization result for single-rate sampled-data plants. The parameterization suggests architectures for multirate controllers  相似文献

This paper addresses the robust reliable stabilisation problem for a class of uncertain switched systems with random delays and norm bounded uncertainties. The main aim of this paper is to obtain the reliable robust sampled-data control design which involves random time delay with an appropriate gain control matrix for achieving the robust exponential stabilisation for uncertain switched system against actuator failures. In particular, the involved delays are assumed to be randomly time-varying which obeys certain mutually uncorrelated Bernoulli distributed white noise sequences. By constructing an appropriate Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional (LKF) and employing an average-dwell time approach, a new set of criteria is derived for ensuring the robust exponential stability of the closed-loop switched system. More precisely, the Schur complement and Jensen's integral inequality are used in derivation of stabilisation criteria. By considering the relationship among the random time-varying delay and its lower and upper bounds, a new set of sufficient condition is established for the existence of reliable robust sampled-data control in terms of solution to linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, an illustrative example based on the F-18 aircraft model is provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed design procedures.  相似文献
