人工表面等离激元是在人工电磁媒质与传统材料界面激发的一种亚波长表面电磁模式, 具有波长短、场局域增强、色散可调等新奇的电磁特性, 在小型化微波器件、隐身材料与隐身结构、天线/天线罩等领域具有重要应用前景.文章综述了人工表面等离激元在天线中的应用研究进展, 包括基于混合模式耦合、相位梯度超表面解耦、周期结构解耦等原理的端射天线、多波束天线、频扫天线, 为新型天线的研发与应用提供技术支撑.  相似文献

设计了基于人工表面等离子体激元(spoof surface plasmon polaritons,spoof SPPs)的带通滤波器,在介质基板上覆上一层超薄金属铜,并将金属表面刻为周期波纹状金属条,同时结合马赫曾德尔干涉仪(Mach–Zehnder interferometer,MZI),将金属条设计为MZI结构,并对MZI的干涉臂设计了两个取向相反的金属条结构,构成滤波器耦合部分,分析了耦合间距以及耦合单元个数对带通滤波器带宽的影响并进行了仿真。结果表明,该滤波器具有–3 d B从4.8 GHz到8.3 GHz的带宽。基于人工等离子体激元的带通滤波器的设计为今后人工表面等离子体在微波行业的应用提供了思路。  相似文献

研制了一种基于SFP(Small Form-factor Pluggable)封装的数字可调光衰减器(VOA)模块。该可调光衰减器模块集成了微电子机械系统(MEMS)式的可调光衰减器(VOA)和精密电控制单元,采用标准的SFP封装和接口,实现小型化可插拔,高精度数字化衰减功能。该VOA不仅具有SFP器件特有的高集成度和灵活配置等特点,支持热插拔和即插即用,同时还具有MEMS光衰减器固有的反应速度快、线性度好、高稳定性、高衰减等光学性能,因此在光网络通信设备和光传输系统中具有广泛的应用前景。  相似文献

A variable optical attenuator (VOA) based on a metal-defined polymeric optical waveguide has been demonstrated for the first time. The metal film stressor deposited on top of the upper cladding layer not only produces the refractive index change within the core layer, but also acts as a thin-film heater allowing thermal tuning of the optical power within a metal-defined optical waveguide. Fabricated devices exhibit greater than 25 dB of optical attenuation with an applied electrical current of /spl sim/40 mA at 1550-nm wavelength. The switching speed of the VOA exhibits 800 /spl mu/s of rising and 720 /spl mu/s of falling time.  相似文献

表面等离激元是束缚在金属—介质交界面上的一种电磁波模式,可突破衍射极限,被认为是下一代集成光子回路最有希望的信息载体。基于我们的研究工作,就几种表面等离激元金属狭缝结构的原理和应用做了简单概述。利用法布里-波罗谐振腔、法诺共振、多模干涉等光学效应,这些金属狭缝结构可对表面等离激元的传输行为进行有效地调控。在理论上和实验上,利用金属狭缝结构实现了亚波长表面等离激元单向激发器、亚微米宽带单向激发器、亚微米分束器、超紧凑纳米聚焦器件和亚微米全光开关等纳米光子器件。这些纳米光子器件在纳米集成光学中具有重要应用。  相似文献

A novel polarizer with a silver nanoribbon added into a traditional waveguide directional coupler is designed to realize the polarized output of TE mode. A high extinction ratio can be obtained because of the selectivity of surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) on polarization. The effects of the polarizer parameters on coupling efficiency and extinction ratio are discussed. Simulation results indicate that the coupling efficiency for TE mode can reach about 95%, but only 3% for TM mode, with the extinction ratio of TE mode about 15 dB when the light wavelength is 1550 nm, The polarizer may have potential applications in photonic integrated circuits and quantum information technology.  相似文献

A novel variable optical attenuator (VOA) is introduced that can provide high dynamic range and high-resolution all at fast submicrosecond speeds. The VOA design exploits an in-line one-to-one imaging optical architecture operating with Bragg-mode acoustooptic Bragg cells. Optical attenuation is achieved via frequency and drive voltage control of the Bragg cells, leading to flexible and precise attenuation-level settings. VOA demonstrated a 45-dB dynamic range with a 175-ns switching time. Other measured parameters include 1.14-dB/MHz resolution, 1.56-dB polarization dependent loss, and an excess loss of 3.55 dB  相似文献

光可变衰减器(VOA)作为波分复用(WDM)网络中关键的功率管理器件,能够实现信道均衡和自动增益控制功能.微电机械系统(MEMS)型和热光型VOA以其衰减范围宽、功耗低、体积小、易于集成等优点成为研究重点,热光特性极佳的聚合物材料则成为最引人注目的热光材料.文章对已有的VOA器件作了概括分类,介绍了各种MEMS型VOA,还从热光材料的角度,总结了聚合物材料的研究成果,对已见报道的基于聚合物的各种热光型VOA进行了重点的描述和分析.最后给出了VOA的两种网络实例.  相似文献

The simulation mechanism of surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) and localized surface plasmon (LSP) in different structures was studied, including the Au reflection grating (Au grating), Au substrate with dielectric ribbons grating (Au substrate grating), and pure electric conductor (PEC) substrate with Au ribbons grating (Au ribbons grating). And the characteristics of the Smith-Purcell radiation in these structures were presented. Simulation results show that SPPs are excited on the bottom surface of Au substrate grating grooves and LSP is stimulated on the upper surface both of Au ribbons grating grooves and Au grating grooves. Owing to the irreconcilable contradiction between optimizing the grating diffraction radiation efficiency and optimizing the SPPs excitation efficiency in the Au substrate grating, only 40-times enhancement of the radiation intensity was obtained by excited SPPs. However, the LSP enhanced structure overcomes the above problem and gains much better radiation enhancement ability, with about 200-times enhancement obtained in the Au ribbons grating and more than 500-times enhancement obtained in the Au grating. The results presented here provide a way of developing miniature, integratable, tunable, high-power-density radiation sources from visible light to ultraviolet rays at room temperature.  相似文献

金属或半导体与介质分界面上的电子与光子互作用形成的光学表面等离激元(SPP)以及人工超构材料或二维原子晶体材料表面上的电子与太赫兹波或微波互作用形成的人工表面等离激元(SSP)是小型化与集成化太赫兹有源/无源器件和太赫兹超分辨率成像的重要物理基础。随着太赫兹科学技术的发展,太赫兹表面等离激元研究在国际上受到很大关注。本文介绍了传统的光学表面等离激元及其发展,详细阐述了太赫兹波段的人工表面等离激元(SSP)和石墨烯表面等离激元(GSP)的基本原理和发展历程,对表面等离激元在太赫兹波段的新型辐射源、无源器件、超分辨率成像及其他领域的应用进行了较为全面的总结和评述,并对该领域未来进一步发展的方向进行了展望。  相似文献

The design and preliminary data of a novel microoptoelectromechanical systems variable optical attenuator (VOA) driven by a pair of V-beam electrothermal actuators is described. This VOA deploys a face-to-face arranged pair of 45/spl deg/ tilted mirrors in front of two coaxially aligned lensed fibers to form retro-reflection planar light path for attenuation. The initial insertion loss is 0.7 dB at 1550 nm and the maximum dynamic range of attenuation is 50 dB, respectively. The polarization-dependent loss is measured as 0.15 dB at 20-dB attenuation. The dynamic attenuation deviation is less than /spl plusmn/0.36 dB at 20-dB attenuation with respect to 20-G shock of periodical mechanical vibration at 1 K Hz, in which it complies with requirements of the Telcordia GR1221 regulations.  相似文献

利用双面金属包覆波导激发的高阶导模提出一种快速响应的聚合物电光可变光衰减器(VOA).与传统的聚合物波导VOA相比,文中设计的可变光衰减器的显著特点是同一入射光束在波导中能够实现二次衰减全反射.理论与实验表明,该VOA器件具有动态范围大、驱动电压低、响应时间极快、插入损耗小、器件稳定性好以及制备工艺简单等诸多特点.  相似文献

表面等离激元的研究推动了超分辨成像、高灵敏传感、片上集成系统等应用的发展。将其应用在太赫兹这一高穿透性、高带宽波段时必然会带来更多迷人的功能。由于太赫兹波段频率较低,表面等离激元具有许多不同于可见光的现象。通过控制金属表面微纳结构或半导体材料与太赫兹波之间的相互作用,人们实现了对太赫兹波表面波的控制。本文综述了太赫兹波段表面等离激元的基本原理和研究历程,介绍了近年来在此波段开展的热门研究成果,如波前整型、片上波导、可调谐器件等,最后总结了这一领域的发展瓶颈并展望了未来主要发展方向,希望能够进一步推动太赫兹波段表面等离激元应用的发展。  相似文献

We present a novel design, fabrication, and characterization of reflecting gratings for long-range surface plasmon polaritons (LR-SPPs) at telecom wavelengths. LR-SPP waveguides consisting of a thin (12 nm) gold film embedded in a thick (45 μm) layer of dielectric polymer cladding are structured by nanoimprint lithography to form a reflecting Bragg grating. By performing spectrally resolved transmission measurements pronounced Bragg grating behaviour is observed, with the transmission dip increasing (up to ∼12 dB) with the increasing grating length.  相似文献

研究了一类L形和矩形谐振腔侧面耦合MDM结构亚波长表面等离激元滤波器的色散关系和透射谱。研究结果表明等效折射率的实部和虚部在短波部分变化较大,在长波部分(800 nm-2000 nm)趋于稳定值,传播距离随着波长的增加和介质层厚度的增加均增加,当波导宽度在50 nm以上时,SPPs的传播距离在所研究的波长范围为4-9 um,可以满足纳米光子器件的尺寸要求;通过对侧面 型谐振腔和矩形谐振腔耦合的透射谱研究表明在保持腔体总长度不变的情况下,两种耦合方式所产生的光谱曲线完全相似,说明禁带的出现只与谐振腔的长度有关系,对集成光子器件的研发具有一定的参考意义。  相似文献

根据全光纤热光型变光衰减器(FTOVOA)的光电特性提出了针对该型FTOVOA的闭环控制的设计,并研制了该型FTOVOA的闭环控制系统.实验结果表明,当FTOVOA衰减量小于35dB时,闭环控制系统使光衰减量漂移小于±0.23dB.通过引入闭环控制不仅改善了全光纤热光型可变光衰减器的稳定性,而且使这种电流控制型的可变光衰减器变为一种电压控制型器件.  相似文献
