The Translation of Cultural Images——The Application of Intertextuality in the English Versions of You Are This World's April Day

The concept "intertextuality" points out that every text comes out on the basic of vestige or memory of the previous text or takes shape by absorbing and transforming other texts. It provides a new perspective to translation, especially literary translation. The translation of You Are This World's April Day involves many cultural images. And the intertextuality in these cultural images is well worth exploring. This paper studies Zhao Yanchun's translation of You Are This World's April Day and discusses the performance of intextuality in the cultural images.

Public signs, as an important part of social language, are termed as the name card of a city. The translation of public signs is quite different from the translations of other practical texts, i.e. legal instruments, official documents, etc. Besides functioning as conveying information, it embodies aesthetic features which can draw people's attention and bring people aesthetic feelings. Therefore, the quality of the translation of public signs greatly affects the image of a city, which is same in Xinjiang. Xinjiang, located in central Asia, the quality of signs translation is significant to the development as well as the transmission of Xinjiang's multi-culture.

<正>0 Introduction1)George Steiner’s approach to translation The word"hermeneutics"originates in old Greek and its Latin spelling is"hermeneuein",meaning to understand.In the Middle Ages,it developed into hermeneutics of theology,as it applied to the interpretation of the decrees of God and records of antiquity.Through the reformation of the Renaissance,hermeneutics,applied for semantic explanations in rhetoric and poetics,evolved into a methodology contributed by the German Romantics,Schleiermacher(1768-1834)and Dilthey(1833-1911)who interpreted various texts of historical records in their work.     

Chinese- English Translation of Tourist Texts from an Intercultural Perspective

建筑英语属于专门用途英语,是科技英语的一个分支,有其自身比较显著的文体特征。掌握建筑英语的文体特征及相关的翻译方法是建筑专业学生必须掌握的一门重要技能。文章根据文体学的有关理论,结合实例,从不同侧面对建筑英语的文体特征和翻译方法进行研究,旨在以此促进建筑英语翻译教学实践。     

基于政策文本分析的中国城市生物多样性治理进展研究

城市生物多样性治理是全球生物多样性议题不可或缺的重要内容。政策文本制定是推进城市生物多样性治理的重要手段,开展政策文本的系统性研究,有助于了解治理进展和状况,但目前尚缺乏对中国城市生物多样性政策文本的系统性分析。基于派森(python)语言,以1993年以来654份中国城市生物多样性治理政策文本为分析数据,通过机器学习的K-means无监督分类方法对地方政策文本进行聚类,并分别分析了中央政策文本和地方政策文本的分布特征、事权演变特征、内容特征、性质特征。结果表明,整体上,中国的城市生物多样性治理已取得主流化趋势明显、认识提升明显、工作框架基本形成等阶段性成果,但还存在政策层级较低、区域不均衡、缺乏多部门联动、性质失衡、针对性和创新性较弱、内容较空洞和要求欠科学等不足。最后,提出了加速主流化并完善工作框架、加强科学研究并推动政策升级、依托国家重大战略和重大工程并促进实践加速等提升治理水平的可能路径。研究成果能为中国未来的城市生物多样性治理及其政策制定提供借鉴。     

文化符号视角下的城市色彩形象规划研究 ——以安康城市色彩形象规划为例

本文通过文化符号理论的视角,以 安康城市色彩形象规划为例,通过研究城市 文化与城市色彩的关联,指出安康城市色彩是 在传统文化文本作用下形成的文化符号,论 述了作为文化符号的城市色彩的文化表达作 用,并结合城市色彩规划设计实例,论证了城 市色彩符号对于安康城市文化的再现和转译 功能,探索了文化内涵通过色彩转译表达的 策略方法。
