This study delivers a general overview of the theory and practice of fuzzy relational equations. We discuss various methods leading to the solutions of these equations starting from analytical approaches, moving through semi-analytic methods and finally elaborating on the neural-like style of finding solutions to relational constructs. The paper addresses important aspects of knowledge representation worked out by these equations and proposes a number of structural enhancements of the existing relational architectures.  相似文献

We present the fuzzy generalized ordered weighted averaging (FGOWA) operator. It is an extension of the GOWA operator for uncertain situations where the available information is given in the form of fuzzy numbers. This generalization includes a wide range of mean operators such as the fuzzy average (FA), the fuzzy OWA (FOWA), and the fuzzy generalized mean (FGM). We also develop a further generalization by using quasi-arithmetic means that we call the quasi-FOWA operator. The article ends with an illustrative example where we apply the new approach in the selection of strategies.  相似文献

In this paper we will study fuzzy systems, analyzing their origin, various ways of their characterization and fundamental problems associated with them. A thorough discussion is centered around types of fuzzy systems, their relevancy and its influence on the formulation of so-called direct and inverse tasks. Moreover, a theory of relational equations as applied to system analysis is investigated. Special attention is focussed on links between the theory of fuzzy systems viewed from a standpoint of general system theory and a variety of applications (e.g., control, knowledge-based system, pattern recognition etc.). Then, specific interpretations to direct and inverse problems are given, bearing in mind the selected area of application.  相似文献

An axiomatic framework for formalizing the most general class of fuzzy complements is introduced in this paper. It is then used for investigating a general class of measures of fuzziness based on the view that the degree of fuzziness of a fuzzy set should characterize the lack of distinction between the set and its complement. It is shown that the various measures of fuzziness described previously in the literature are special cases of this general class. A class of so-called distance-based measures of fuzziness is also introduced. These measures are described in terms of the notion of an aggregation function of differences between the membership grades characterizing a fuzzy set and those of its complement. It is shown that the class of distance-based measures is equal to the class of general measures of fuzziness. It is also shown that, given a particular fuzzy complement, aggregation functions which differ only in a multiplication constant represent the same measure of fuzziness.  相似文献
