Presence of various nano-scale Y2Ba4CuMOy phase inclusions in YBa2Cu3O7−δ phase matrix are shown to improve magnetic flux pinning over wide range of magnetic fields. We first fabricate single phase of Sm2Ba4CuBiOy (Sm-2411) using a solid-state reaction and then introduced them into SmBCO single grains. Top seeded melt growth (TSMG) has been used to grow SmBCO single grains in air atmosphere. A significant improvement in Jc is observed, over wide magnetic fields, for single grains containing Sm-2411nano-phase inclusions when compared to that of SmBa2Cu3O7−δ/Sm2BaCuO5 composites. When compared to YBCO nano-composites, SmBCO composites are shown to exhibit high Jc at medium range of magnetic fields (1–2 T) at 77 K.  相似文献

The intrinsic diamagnetic response of YBa2Cu3O7−δ presintered powders obtained by the citrate pyrolysis method has been studied. The techniques applied were: a.c. susceptibility at zero d.c. field, low field d.c. susceptibility, isothermal magnetization and a.c. susceptibility at varying bias fields up to 5 T. To investigate intragrain links, powders of known sizes were used directly, dispersed in oil and finally in the sintered form. Intragrain inductive critical currents and critical field values are derived. Finally, the experimental results are discussed within the framework of weak link models and flux pinning effects.  相似文献

At present, the development of superconducting YBa2Cu3O7−x coated conductors attracts much attention due to their enormous application potential in electric power systems. Worldwide research is focused on the investigation and improvement of buffer materials and YBa2Cu3O7−x superconducting properties as well as low-cost manufacturing processes in cooperation with industrial companies. Accordingly, chemical solution deposition has emerged as a highly competitive, versatile, and cost-effective technique for fabricating coated conductors of high performance. New chemical solution approaches are under development for buffer layer deposition. In order to achieve high critical current carrying YBa2Cu3O7−x layers, the established trifluoroacetate route is favored. This paper reviews the most recent work on chemical solution deposition within the IFW Dresden while also considering achievements on this specific research topic worldwide.  相似文献

A series of YBa2Cu3−x oxides was synthesized. The results show a cubic system with a simple perovskite structure for x < 0.2 and a face-centered doubled perovskite cell for x > 0.2. There was no indication of the existence of the superconducting 1-2-3 phase for x > 0.2. Solid solution of tungsten was exhibited over the composition region 0.2 < x as well as in the simple perovskite composition range. Analyses of a sample of nominal composition YBa2Cu2W oxide indicates a non-superconducting perovskite with .  相似文献

In an YBa2Cu3O7−δ/SrTiO3/YBa2Cu3O7−δ parallel capacitor fabricated by a chemical mechanical planarization method, the dielectric constant and loss in the presence of electric fields at 2.2 K were more than 26,000 and less than 0.027, respectively. We propose a multilayer model that explains this behavior. The model assumes that the SrTiO3 film is composed of single-crystal-like SrTiO3 layers with a dielectric constant εr = 30,000 and degraded SrTiO3 layers with dielectric constants that vary continuously from 25, the dielectric constant of YBa2Cu3O7−δ, to 30,000. Results of a numerical calculation revealed that the thickness of the single-crystal-like SrTiO3 layer was more than 92% of a 600-nm-thick SrTiO3 film.  相似文献

Epitaxial YBa2Cu3O7/La0.7Ca0.3MnO3 (YBCO/LCMO) bi-layers and La0.7Ca0.3MnO3/YBa2Cu3O7 (LCMO/YBCO) bi-layers were grown on (001)LaAlO3 by pulsed laser deposition, and their microstructures were compared by transmission electron microscopy investigation. In the YBCO(100 nm)/LCMO(150 nm) bi-layers, the LCMO layer consists of columnar grains of ~ 17 nm in diameter and contains mixed orientation domains of [100]c, [010]c and [001]c. The YBCO layer is totally c-axis oriented and the YBCO lattices are tilted − 2.5° to + 2.5° as they grew on the rough surfaces of LCMO columnar grains. For the LCMO(140 nm)/YBCO(140 nm) bi-layers, the LCMO/YBCO interface is sharp and flat. The initial 12-nm thickness of the YBCO layer is composed of c-axis oriented domains, and the upper part of YBCO layer is [100] oriented. The LCMO layer was predominantly [001]c oriented while [100]c-oriented domains were occasionally observed.  相似文献

We studied the YBa2Cu3O7 – x bulk superconductor doped with BaZrO3 up to 50 wt.%, obtained by solid-state reaction powder technology. From DC magnetization loops and low frequency AC susceptibility measurements we determined the influence of the BaZrO3 doping level on the critical temperature, critical current density, field for full penetration, and intergrain lower critical field. The results show that even high content of BaZrO3 does not lead to degradation of the superconducting properties of bulk YBa2Cu3O7 – x .  相似文献

We investigated the structural and superconducting properties ofc-axis oriented (YBa2Cu3O7) nY /(PrBa2Cu3O7) npr superlattices with thicknesses of the individual layers down to one unit cell (10nY1; 18>nPr 1). By transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction we find an excellent structural quality of the samples, though the quantitative analysis shows the existence of defects. In superlattices with decoupled YBa2Cu3O7 layers of two unit cell thickness we find a highT c value of 75 K. We probed the flux line structure in the superlattices by measurements of the critical current density in magnetic fields. The experiments show that the flux-line dynamics is dominated by the movement of pancake vortices.  相似文献

Detailed transmission electron microscopic study has been carried out on heteroepitaxial YBa2Cu3O7/SrTiO3/YBa2Cu3O7 trilayer thin films grown on (100)SrTiO3 substrates prepared by DC and RF magnetron sputtering. The microstructural results showed the existence of somea-axis-oriented YBCO grains 20–90 nm wide in thec-axis-oriented YBCO matrix. Some of thea-axis grains in the lower YBCO thin film layer have protruded into the above SrTiO3 layer, which may cause short circuit between the two YBCO superconducting layers. This is unsuitable for the application of trilayer thin films for microelectronic devices. The defects on the surface of the substrates would also influence the growth quality of the YBCO thin films.  相似文献

Superconducting YBa2Cu3O7–x (YBCO) thin films were deposited onr-plane A12O3 substrates with PrBa2Cu3O7–x (PBCO) buffer layer by XeCl excimer laser ablation. The thickness of PBCO buffer layer was systematically changed to investigate the superconducting properties of YBCO thin films on sapphire. The structure and surface morphology of the films were characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Superconducting transition temperatures were varied depending on the buffer layer thickness. Interdiffusion between laser-ablated YBCO thin films and A12O3 substrates had been studied by Auger electron spectroscopy (AES). The results of this study show that diffusion does not occur between the YBCO thin film and the substrate even with 20 Å thick PBCO buffer layer.  相似文献

Specific heat measurements, including measurements in magnetic fields and at both low temperatures and nearT c , on a number of YBa2Cu3O7 samples have revealed several correlations among strongly sample-dependent parameters. These correlations suggest that the sample dependence of the parameters reflects a sample dependence of the volume fraction of superconductivity, which is in turn correlated with a low concentration of Cu2+ moments. The correlations give a criterion for recognizing the values of the parameters characteristic of the fully superconducting material. Preliminary results on the effects of sample heat treatment are reported. New data on the linear term is presented and discussed.  相似文献

We have fabricated and measured a high-capacity superconducting current lead composed of a Y1Ba2Cu3O7–x cylinder, 20 cm long and 0.9 cm2 cross section. A steady-state, d.c., critical current of 225 A at a temperature of 77 K was measured in this sample, using a voltage criterion of 2×10–7 V/cm (p = 8×10–10 ohm-cm). This current was limited by the currentinduced, self magnetic field. To our knowledge this is the largest d.c. critical current so far reported in a Y1Ba2Cu3O7–x sample and demonstrates the possibility of using hightemperature superconducting HTS materials for current leads to low-temperature superconducting LTS magnets or in power distribution systems.  相似文献

We measured the phonon dispersions of YBa2Cu3O6.15 and YBa2Cu3O6.95 by time-of-flight inelastic neutron scattering. The in-plane bond-stretching modes in the metallic phase showed a distinct a-b plane anisotropy beyond what is expected for structural origin. Such anisotropy in the longitudinal optical modes, which is absent in the TO, suggests strong in-plane anisotropy in the underlying electronic structure. Apical oxygen bond-stretching modes showed a large frequency change between the insulating and the metallic phases. This large softening also is beyond structural origin, and suggests the effect of local electronic environment.  相似文献

0.33–33% of the Cu in superconducting YBa2Cu3O y has been replaced by Li (i.e.,x=0.01–1 in single-phase or nominal YBa2Cu3–x LixOy). X-ray diffraction powder patterns remain the same as for YBn2Cu3O y , with identical patterns up to about 17% substitution (i.e.,x=0.5). At higher percentages an additional phase appears. Electrical conductivity measurements indicate a small elevation ofT c at low Li content. Starting at about 5% Li (x=0.15),T c declines progressively and its width increases asx is raised.  相似文献

The magnetic response of YBa2Cu3O7−x −5 mol% Ag composite to low-frequency magnetic field and its microstructure have been studied. Microstructural analysis shows evidence of platelet-type grain growth and silver fills the intergranular regions. The granular nature of the sample is revealed from the strong decrease in a.c. response in the presence of d.c. magnetic field. The intergranular shielding current estimated from the complex response and using the Bean’s model sharply increases with temperature below transition temperature.  相似文献

YBa2Cu3O7–X ceramic samples voltage–current characteristics at 77 K and acoustic emission activity during thermocycling 500–600 K region have been studied. Partial oxygen sorption by these samples through heating has been established by critical-current value and acoustic emission activity at 540–550 K. During thermocycling an acoustic emission maximums have been observed on 3rd and 6th thermocycles, and these maximums correlate with some decrease of the critical-current value. It is shown that observed acoustic emission maximums are because of a phase-work hardening during thermocycling of these samples. A mechanism of this phase-work hardening influencing the critical-current value in YBa2Cu3O7–X ceramic samples is discussed.  相似文献

Sandwich-structural multilayer films Au/HoMnO3/YBa2Cu3O7 − δ were prepared epitaxially on SrTiO3 (001) single crystal substrates by using pulsed laser deposition technique. The HoMnO3 films crystallized in a metastable orthorhombic structure and the Au and YBa2Cu3O7 − δ were used as electrodes to investigate the dielectric and magnetodielectric properties of HoMnO3 films. The impedance and electric modulus spectroscopic plots were used to discern the intrinsic characteristics of HoMnO3 films or unwanted interface effects. The low-temperature (~ 2 K) dependence of the dielectric constant of HoMnO3 films as function of frequency shows anomalies around 43 K and 22 K, which is corresponding to the Néel temperature and lock-in transition of Mn3+ moments, respectively. The magnetodielectric effects of HoMnO3 films were investigated at 100 kHz under a 2T applied magnetic field, and the dielectric constant was tuned resulting in a decrease of 3%. The results indicate the strong coupling between the dielectric properties and magnetic orders in orthorhombic HoMnO3 films.  相似文献

A new model based on percolative computation directly performed for an array system of Josephson junctions is reported. The number of percolative paths is obtained and the total critical current of the model system is estimated from 2D and 3D arrays at selected values of external magnetic field. The evolution of the critical current distribution of the junctions at increasing magnetic field is studied in view of the relevance in percolative path calculations and compared with the experimental distribution obtained fromI– V characteristics. Percolative simulation results are shown to reproduce more satisfactory experimental critical current behavior in external magnetic fields, obtained in highly porous thick YBa2Cu3O7-x films electrophoretically deposited than mere statistical averages.  相似文献

Post-annealing of YBa2Cu3O7 (YBCO) thin films is usually performed at 850–900°C in atmospheric-pressure oxygen. In this study, coevaporated YBCO films on LaAlO3 were post-annealed in an oxygen partial pressure of 29 Pa at temperatures in the range 700–825°C. Zero resistance transition temperatures were 89–90 K. Both d.c. (room-temperature resistance and critical-current density) and a.c. parameters (extracted from eddy-current response measurements at 25 MHz) were monitored. The optimum temperature is close to 750°C, which is on the YBCO thermodynamic stability line at this low oxygen partial pressure.  相似文献

Superconducting YBa2Cu3O7–x /polyurethane 0-3 composites have been fabricated with several volume fraction fillers. Magnetic forces between a small permanent magnet and the composites have been measured at 77 K and show hysteretic behaviour as a function of their separation distances. Such behaviour indicates multiple equilibrium heights of the magnet levitating above the composites. It is shown that the levitation height increases with increasing volume fraction of superconductor filler. The parallel YBa2Cu3O7–x /polyurethane and series YBa2Cu3O7–x /polypropylene 2-2 composites were also prepared and only tested for magnetic levitation.  相似文献
