Applications in the automobile sector, wired or unwired, are today often integrated into a network of sensors and actors as well as in service functions, visualization, and entertainment. The paper presents an innovative platform, which is applicable for automotive and automation applications. & IT systems for automobiles and for business applications took a very different development direction.

Analyse von Innovationsprozessen im Kontext von E-Government

E-Government requires technical and organizational innovation. Research has already shown that the respective innovation process is complex and contingent upon specific organizational structures. Managing such innovation processes successfully is difficult. Drawing on assumptions of micropolitical behavior, a framework of innovation arenas is proposed. It supports the analysis of ongoing E-Government projects as well as the ex post investigation of successful or failed projects. Testing this framework in case studies already demonstrates its usefulness for individual actors making strategic choices about change management. Furthermore, the results indicate that many commonly held assumptions about successful change management have to be reconsidered.

Status Quo und Potenziale der eXtensible Business Reporting Language für die Wirtschaftsinformatik

The paper examines the current state of research as regards the eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) by using the literature review methodology. The results show that an empirical-quantitative research design is used most of the time. The contributions vary in substance in terms of research on XBRL and research with XBRL. Research with XBRL focuses on the development of conceptual XBRL extensions. Work on XBRL considers, for example, the changes in reporting as a result of XBRL as well as the acceptance and enforcement of financial reporting standards. The results point to open issues and are relevant for research and practice.
