Oats and barley β-glucans are well-known for their many health benefits; this has encouraged the food industry to develop new functional foods containing oats and barley. This study aims to develop an advanced sensitivity analysis to analyse and evaluate the most significant model inputs contributing to uncertainty in assessing the level of β-glucan content in harvested oat and barley grains. Two methodologies, nominal value and regression method sensitivity analysis, were adopted. The nominal sensitivity analysis highlighted that cultivar selection is the predominant factor with a correlation coefficient 0.66 for hulled oats and barley cultivars, whereas the correlation was 0.80 and 0.77 for naked oats and hull-less barley, respectively. Advanced sensitivity analysis using regression modelling highlighted that cultivar selection, storage days and germination time (days) were the most important parameters in both the oats and barley model. Regression analysis using the response surface methodology shows that prediction models were found to be significant (P < 0.0001) with low standard errors and high coefficients of determination (R 2  > 0.94). This study shows that regression modelling is an effective tool to highlight the effect of key input variables and their interactive effects on the predictive response of β-glucan in harvested oats and barley cultivars.  相似文献

The objectives of this study were to determine the chemical and ruminal nutrient degradability characteristics of two hulled (Calibre and AC Mustang) and one hull-less (AC Belmont) oat varieties. Ruminal nutrient degradability characteristics of the oat varieties were determined relative to barley using one ruminally fistulated cow. Neutral (NDF) and acid (ADF) detergent fibre levels were higher (P < 0·05) in hulled than hull-less oats. Hulled AC Mustang had higher (P < 0·05) NDF and ADF content than hulled Calibre. Starch content was higher (P < 0·05) in AC Belmont (590 g kg−1) than Calibre (457 g kg−1) and was higher in Calibre than AC Mustang (415 g kg−1). Crude protein was higher (P < 0·05) in hull-less than hulled oat. Both hulled varieties had similar CP content (average 124 g kg−1). Estimated digestible energy value was highest (P < 0·05) for AC Belmont (16·94 MJ kg−1), intermediate for Calibre (14·18 MJ kg−1) and lowest for AC Mustang (13·34 MJ kg−1). Ruminal dry matter and NDF degradability were higher (P < 0·05) in hull-less than barley and was higher in barley than hulled oats. Ruminal starch degradability exceeded 900 g kg−1 for all tested feeds and had the order AC Belmont = barley > Calibre = AC Mustang. It was concluded that oat varieties used in this study varied considerably in their chemical composition and ruminal degradability. BACKGROUND: Iberian pig production is linked to the use of the Mediterranean woodland, where the use of local feed resources is of paramount importance for the sustainability of the system. The aim of the present work was to explore the potential of triticale cv. Camarma as compared to barley cv. Esgueva in Iberian pig feeding by studying their respective ileal digestibilities of amino acids and carbohydrates in animals cannulated at the end of the ileum. RESULTS: Leu, Met and Tyr had (P < 0.05) greater standardised ileal digestibilities (SID) in pigs fed triticale diet. There was a trend (P = 0.07) towards greater SID of Thr in pigs fed the barley diet. The least digestible indispensable amino acids were Ile (74.6% SID) for barley and Thr (78.9% SID) for triticale. Except for β‐glucans, apparent ileal digestibilities (AIDs) of individual non‐starch polysaccharide (NSP), sugars and starch were greater in pigs fed triticale (P < 0.05). Nevertheless, total amounts of NSP digested were greater in pigs fed the barley diet (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: Overall, triticale cv. Camarma had greater amino acid and carbohydrate AID than barley cv. β‐Glucans were isolated from six Greek barley cultivars (Persefoni, Kos, Thessaloniki, Athinaida, Dimitra and Triptolemos) by water extraction at 47 °C, enzymatic removal of starch and protein and subsequent precipitation of the water‐soluble β‐glucans with 37% (w/v) ammonium sulfate saturation. The purity of barley β‐glucans was high (>93% dry basis) with some small contamination by protein (<3.84%). The molecular size of the β‐glucan isolates was determined by high‐performance size‐exclusion chromatography (HPSEC); the weight‐average molecular weights and the intrinsic viscosities ranged between 0.45 × 106 and 1.32 × 106 and 2.77 and 4.11 dl g?1, respectively. Structural features of barley β‐glucans were revealed by 13C NMR spectroscopy and high‐performance anion‐exchange chromatography (HPAEC) of the oligomers released by the hydrolytic action of lichenase. Lichenase degradation showed that β‐glucans from all barley cultivars consisted of blocks of cellotriosyl and cellotetraosyl units, accounting for 90.6–92.3% of the total oligomers released, with a molar proportion of these units between 2.31 and 2.77. Rheological measurements of aqueous solutions/dispersions of β‐glucans showed the behaviour of non‐interacting polysaccharides and a transition from the typical viscoelastic response to gel‐like properties after a time period that depended on the molecular size of the polysaccharide. The lowest molecular size β‐glucans from the Triptolemos cultivar showed shorter gelation times than their higher molecular weight counterparts. The effect of sugar incorporation (glucose, fructose, sucrose, xylose and ribose), at a concentration of 30% (w/v), to the β‐glucans gels (6% w/v) on compression parameters seemed to be related to the type of sugar used; the pentose sugars substantially reduced gel firming. Foods containing barley or oats are often marketed as healthy because of the dietary fiber (1→3) (1→4)‐β‐D‐glucan. Processing conditions can affect the molecular structure of these dietary fibers, which in turn affect quality and properties of the products. In this study, the effect of puffing and jet cooking conditions on changes in the solubility and molecular weight of barley β‐glucans was investigated. Barley flour was processed in a pasta extruder to produce particles similar in size and shape to rice. These particles were puffed at 230, 250 and 270C for 6, 8 and 10 s in a rice cake machine. Solubility and molecular weight of barley β‐glucans were determined by using water extracts (25 or 65C). The amount of β‐glucan extracted in water at 25C increased from 41.1% in cakes puffed at 230C/6 s to 69.7% in cakes puffed at 270C/10 s. The amount of β‐glucan extracted in water at 65C increased from 63.6% in samples puffed at 230C/6 s to 99.1% in samples puffed at 270C/10 s. The molecular weight of β‐glucans in barley was reduced by puffing and jet cooking treatments.  相似文献

An experiment was conducted to determine the apparent ileal digestibility of amino acids and the digestible energy (DE) content of two samples of naked oats (Avena sativa cv Bandicoot) and to compare these parameters in wheat (Triticum aestivum cv Machete) and dehulled oats (groats; Avena sativa cv Echidna). Four Large White male pigs were fitted with simple T-piece ileal cannulae and allocated to experimental diets in a 4×4 Latin square design. Amino acid digestibility coefficients were determined after continuous eight hour collections of digesta over two consecutive days using acid-insoluble ash as an indigestible marker. Digestible energy was determined using grab samples of faeces. No significant difference between the four test cereals was found in the digestibility of all amino acids, except for proline and lysine. The apparent ileal digestibility of lysine in wheat (0·87) and two samples of naked oats (0·89 and 0·82, respectively) was lower (P<0·05) than dehulled oats (0·91). The mean DE value of the naked oats samples was 16·96 MJ kg−1 (air-dry basis). The results suggest that Bandicoot naked oats and dehulled oats are superior amino acid and DE sources to wheat and have potential for use in weaner and grower pig diets. © 1998 SCI.  相似文献

Two trials were conducted to determine the sugars, fructans and starch in oat plants (Avena sativa L) and the changes occurring in these carbohydrate fractions during field drying in the haymaking process. The composition of oat herbage in non-structural carbohydrates varied markedly between years; the contents of sugars, fractals and starch in both leaf blade and non-leaf blade materials being nether in 1990–1991 than in 1991–1992. Field drying produced a significant decrease (P < 0.05) in the amount of soluble carbohydrates. For the whole aerial plant parts, the decline in the fructans concentration ranged between 42.8 and 38.2% and that of sugars between 16.5 and 5.8%. The total losses of sugars and fractions in hay, expressed as losses of dry matter, ranged from 88 to 63 g kg?1 depending on the year.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum L.) are widely consumed and well known for their health benefits, many of which have been associated with the high levels of antioxidants present in tomatoes. With a growing interest in local and organic foods, it would be helpful to determine whether farmers could naturally improve the quality and antioxidant content of tomatoes for sale in local markets. This study evaluated antioxidant properties, quality attributes, and yield for 10 tomato cultivars grown for 2 years using certified organic and conventional practices. RESULTS: Cultivar and year effects impacted (P < 0.05) all tests conducted, while growing method influenced (P < 0.05) yield, soluble solids content, ascorbic acid, and antioxidant radical scavenging capacity. Even when accounting for year‐to‐year variability, cultivars in the highest groups had 1.35‐ to 1.67‐fold higher antioxidant levels than cultivars in the lowest groups. ‘New Girl’, ‘Jet Star’, ‘Fantastic’, and ‘First Lady’ were always in the highest groups, while ‘Roma’ and ‘Early Girl’ consistently had the lowest antioxidant content. CONCLUSION: Compared to production practices and environmental effects of years that are generally beyond the control of small‐scale producers, choice of cultivar provides the simplest and most effective means of increasing antioxidant properties. Knowledge of tomato cultivars with naturally higher antioxidant levels could assist smaller‐scale producers to grow fruit that may provide a competitive advantage and the opportunity to capitalize on the increasing popularity of locally grown, high‐quality fresh produce. Flow characteristics and functional properties of water‐soluble β‐glucan rich extractions prepared from hulled barley, hulless barley and oats were investigated. Rheological behavior was studied using a coaxial viscometer over shear rates of 3.0‐ 1312s?1. The shear rate‐shear stress data followed the power law and Herschel‐Bulkley models. The flow behaviour index values varied from 0.31‐0.97, indicating mildly to highly pseudoplastic nature of the aqueous solutions of β‐glucan rich extractions. The pseudoplasticity for the aqueous solutions increased with increasing concentration of extractions. The hulless barley β‐glucan rich extractions showed higher pseudoplasticity, consistency index, and yield stress values; absorbed less water and exhibited higher fat absorption and oil emulsifying properties than those of the hulled barley and oats. There was no discernible influence of fat contents on functional properties of the concentrates. Dough development time, arrival time, stability and softening of the dough were negligibly affected with addition of various β‐glucan rich extractions to the flours. Supplementation of β‐glucan rich extractions desirably increased the baking absorption of the flours. Bread with improved loaf quality could be obtained using various β‐glucan rich extractions upto a level of 1.00% (w/w), especially, from those of hulless barley cv. PNB 5.  相似文献

Concentrations of nine elements essential for human nutrition were studied in seed of eight dry bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L) cultivars grown at five field locations. The cultivars (two Navy, one Great Northern, one Pinto, one Pink, one Cranberry and two Red Kidney) varied in seed weight from 167 to 560 mg per seed. Seed Ca (r = −0.78, P < 0.001), Mn (r = −0.67, P < 0.001) and Mg (r = −0.45, P < 0.001) were negatively related to seed weight. In contrast, seed P (r = 0.44, P < 0.001) increased with increasing seed weight. Concentrations of N, K, Fe, Zn and B were poorly related to seed weight but differed among cultivars. The two Navy bean cultivars, Voyager and Norstar, differed in concentrations of seed Ca and Fe. Voyager seed contained a mean of 49% more Ca and 19% more Fe than Norstar seed. Voyager also contained a mean of 67% more Ca than that reported for Navy bean in the USDA Nutrient Database. Scope: Structural‐based recognition of foreign molecules is essential for activation of dendritic cells (DCs) that play a key role in regulation of gut mucosal immunity. Orally ingested non‐starch polysaccharides (NSP) are ascribed many health‐promoting properties, but currently we lack insight into the impact of structure and size for their capacity to affect immune responses. Methods and results: This study addresses the importance of chemical structure, size, origin and presence of contaminants for the capacity of both dietary and non‐food NSP to modulate DC. Of 28 NSP products, β‐glucans of microbial and plant origin and the galactomannan guar gum were found to modulate the DC cytokine pattern induced by the Toll‐like receptor 4‐ligand LPS giving rise to reduced IL‐12p70 and increased IL‐10 levels, whereas IL‐6 production was unaffected. A large proportion of the tested NSP were able to down‐regulate LPS‐induced IL‐12p70 production. The most potent NSP induced up‐regulation of CD86 on DC independently of LPS stimulation. Cereal‐based β‐glucans showed less potency than β‐glucans of microbial origin, but proper molecular weight composition and preparation may improve effectiveness. Conclusions: Collectively, this comparative study revealed that some plant‐derived NSP besides those of microbial origin exert modulation of the DC phenotype, with the exact structure being important for the activity.  相似文献

Eight commonly grown Indian hulled barley cultivars were studied for their dehusking, pearling, physico-chemical, β-glucan, pasting and thermal behavior. Milling of the hulled barley at 14% moisture significantly lowered the dehusking and pearling time as compared to milling at 10% moisture content. The extraction rate ranged from 55.05% to 62.35% and significantly (p < 0.05) differed among the cultivars. Particle size distribution of flours was significantly different among the cultivars with flour from RD-2552 and RD-2035 cultivars having the most even particle size distribution. The colour difference (ΔE) was not significantly different among cultivars. The extractable β-glucan content varied from 1.93% to 3.81% among the cultivars and was highest in PL-172. The final pasting viscosity was significantly different among cultivars while the pasting temperature did not vary significantly. The enthalpy (ΔH) of gelatinization of barley flour varied from 4.45 to 7.08 J/g and gelatinization temperature (Tp) varied from 64.23 to 66.26 °C.  相似文献

ABSTRACT Pretreated carrot discs were thermally processed (90 °C to 110 °C) in closed containers and the resulting textural characteristics were analyzed. The pretreatment conditions used include conventional high‐temperature blanching (90 °C, 4 min), low‐temperature blanching (LTB = 60 °C, 40 min), LTB combined with 0.5% calcium chloride soaking, LTB combined with 2% sodium chloride soaking, high pressure pretreatment (HP = 400 MPa, 60 °C, 15 min), HP combined with 0.5% calcium chloride soaking, and control (non‐pretreated sample). Alcohol insoluble residues (AIR) from the pretreated carrot discs were characterized in terms of degree of methoxylation (DM). The AIR samples were further subjected to fractionation into water‐soluble pectin (WSP), chelator‐soluble pectin (CSP), and sodium carbonate‐soluble pectin (NSP). Heat depolymerization patterns and β‐elimination kinetics were investigated on the different pectin fractions. Thermal texture degradation was strongly influenced by the pretreatment condition used and the processing temperature during subsequent thermal treatment. Pretreatment conditions that showed a significant reduction in DM exhibited decreased WSP content, reduced β‐elimination, and consequently superior textural characteristics. β‐elimination was markedly pronounced in the highly methoxylated WSP fractions. CSP and NSP fractions were insensitive to β‐elimination. A strong correlation (r> 0.95) between thermal texture loss of carrots and β‐elimination kinetics exists. Overall, the benefits of controlled pectinmethylesterase activity in carrot processing were pointed out.  相似文献

The hulls and cotyledons from three Western Australian cultivars (Gungurru, Yorrel and Danja) of Lupinus angustifolius, all of low alkaloid content, were analysed separately for their carbohydrate content and composition. Only minor differences in composition between these three cultivars were observed. More notably, the cotyledons of all the cultivars contained levels of non-starch polysaccharides (NSP), ranging from 290 to 310 g kg?1 dry weight considerably higher than had been measured previously in cultivars of this species. Galactose, arabinose and uronic acid residues accounted for approximately 67%, 13% and 10%, respectively, of the cotyledon NSP. Although only a small proportion of the cotyledon NSP is soluble, a much larger proportion could be extracted with hot EDTA treatment. The oligosaccharide content of the cotyledons ranged from 74 to 80 g kg?1 dry weight. Cotyledons had very low contents of cellulose, lignin and starch. Hulls consisted predominantly of NSP, with values ranging from 856 to 891 g kg?1 dry weight. Glucose, xylose, uronic acids and arabinose were the principal sugar residues present reflecting the compositions of the major constituent polysaccharides, cellulose, hemicelluloses and pectins. Only low levels of lignin were measured in hulls. Cotyledon NSP and hulls from these cultivars may have considerable value as sources of dietary fibre in the human diet.  相似文献

This study consists of milk fatty acid (FA) data collected during 2 in vivo experiments. For this study, 8 cows from each experiment were included in a replicated 4 × 4 Latin square design. At the start of experiment 1 (Exp1) cows were at (mean ± standard deviation) 87 ± 34.6 d in milk, 625 ± 85.0 kg of body weight, and 32.1 ± 4.17 kg/d milk yield and at the start of experiment 2 (Exp2) cows were at 74 ± 18.2 d in milk, 629 ± 87.0 kg of body weight, and 37.0 ± 3.2 kg/d milk yield. In Exp1, we examined the effects of gradual replacement of barley with hulled oats (oats with hulls) on milk FA composition. The basal diet was grass silage and rapeseed meal (58 and 10% of diet DM, respectively), and the 4 grain supplements were formulated so that barley was gradually replaced by hulled oats at levels of 0, 33, 67, and 100% on dry matter basis. In Exp2, we examined (1) the effects of replacing barley with both hulled and dehulled oats (oats without hulls) and (2) the effects of gradual replacement of hulled oats with dehulled oats on milk FA composition. The basal diet was grass silage and rapeseed meal (60 and 10% of diet DM, respectively), and the 4 pelleted experimental concentrates were barley, hulled oats, a 50:50 mixture of hulled and dehulled oats, and dehulled oats on dry matter basis. In Exp1, gradual replacement of barley with hulled oats decreased relative proportions of 14:0, 16:0, and total saturated FA (SFA) in milk fat linearly, whereas proportions of 18:0, 18:1, total monounsaturated FA, and total cis unsaturated FA increased linearly. Transfer efficiency of total C18 decreased linearly when barley was replaced by hulled oats in Exp1. In Exp2, relative proportions of 14:0, 16:0, and total SFA were lower, whereas proportions of 18:0, 18:1, monounsaturated FA, and cis unsaturated FA were higher in milk from cows fed the oat diets than in milk from cows fed the barley diet. Moreover, in Exp2, gradual replacement of hulled oats with dehulled oats slightly decreased the relative proportion of 14:0 in milk fat but did not affect the proportions of 16:0, 18:0, 18:1, total SFA, monounsaturated FA, trans FA, or polyunsaturated FA. In Exp2, transfer efficiency of total C18 was lower when cows were fed the oat diets than when fed the barley diet and decreased linearly when hulled oats were replaced with dehulled oats. Predictions of daily CH4 emissions (g/d) using the on-farm available variables energy-corrected milk yield and body weight were not markedly improved by including milk concentrations of individual milk FA in prediction equations. In conclusion, replacement of barley with oats as a concentrate supplement for dairy cows fed a grass silage-based diet could offer a practical strategy to change the FA composition of milk to be more in accordance with international dietary guidelines regarding consumption of SFA.  相似文献

Total and soluble dietary fibre, total and soluble pentosan and β‐glucan contents, activities of α‐amylase (EC 3.2.1.1) and endo‐β‐xylanase (EC 3.2.1.8) and viscous properties of aqueous suspensions of wholemeal flours during heating were determined in nine winter rye cultivars (Secale cereale L) grown in Finland in 1998–2001. There was marked annual and varietal differences in grain quality. In the rainy summer 1998 the yield was low, grains were small and dietary fibre content of the grains was high. Xylanase activity of the grains was high, which corresponded to the high content of soluble pentosans. In the dry summer of 1999, the pentosan content of the grains was low and β‐glucan content high. The effect of weather conditions and cultivar were also apparent in the differences in falling numbers, amylogram and swelling curve results. The two hybrid rye cultivars Esprit and Picasso had consistently highest falling numbers and amylogram peak viscosities. The activities of α‐amylase and xylanase had a moderate positive correlation with total pentosan content and the content of soluble pentosan. Xylanase activity had better correlation with the viscous properties of flour–water suspensions than α‐amylase. Sixteen Nordic Red dairy cows, at 80 ± 4.6 d in milk and with an average body weight of 624 ± 91.8 kg, were used in a replicated 4 × 4 Latin square design to investigate the effects of different concentrate supplements on milk production, enteric CH4 emissions, ruminal fermentation, digestibility, and energy utilization. The cows were blocked into 4 groups based on parity and milk yield and randomly assigned to 1 of 4 experimental concentrates: (1) barley, (2) hulled oats, (3) an oat mixture consisting of hulled and dehulled oats, 50:50 on dry matter basis, and (4) dehulled oats; canola meal was a protein supplement in all 4 concentrates. The cows were fed grass silage and experimental concentrate (forage-to-concentrate ratio 60:40 on dry matter basis) ad libitum. To compare the effects of barley and oats, the barley diet was compared with the overall mean of the hulled oat, oat mixture, and dehulled oat diets. To investigate the effects of gradual replacement of hulled oats with dehulled oats, linear and quadratic contrasts were specified. Milk and energy-corrected milk (ECM) yield were higher on the oat diets compared with the barley diet but were not affected by the type of oats. Concentrations of milk constituents were not affected by grain species or type of oats, except for protein concentration, which was lower on the oat diets than on the barley diet. Feeding the oat diets led to higher milk protein yield and higher milk urea N concentrations. Feed efficiency tended to be higher on the oat diets, and linearly increased with increased inclusion of dehulled oats. Methane emissions (g/d) and CH4 yield (g/kg of dry matter intake) were unaffected by grain species but increased linearly with increasing inclusion of dehulled oats in the diet. Because of higher ECM yield, CH4 intensity (g/kg of ECM) was on average 5.7% lower from cows on the oat diets than on the barley diet. Ruminal fermentation was not affected by dietary treatment. Total-tract apparent digestibility of organic matter, crude protein, and neutral detergent fiber was unaffected by grain species but linearly increased with increasing inclusion of dehulled oats. Gross energy content was higher on the oat diets and linearly increased with increasing inclusion of dehulled oats. Feeding the oat diets led to a lower ratio of CH4 energy to gross energy intake, greater milk energy and heat production but no change in energy balance. Gradual replacement of hulled oats with dehulled oats linearly increased gross energy digestibility, CH4 energy, metabolizable energy intake, heat production, and energy balance. We observed no effect of dietary treatment on efficiency of metabolizable energy use for lactation. In conclusion, replacing barley with any type of oats increased milk and ECM yield, which led to a 5.7% decrease in CH4 intensity. In addition, dehulling of oats before feeding is unnecessary because it did not significantly improve production performance of dairy cows in positive energy balance.  相似文献

Starch was isolated from four new waxy barleys and compared with normal and high‐amylose barley starch. The waxy barley samples were selected lines from crosses of Swedish hulled and naked barley cultivars with the cultivar Azhul as donor of the waxy gene. The starches from the waxy barley samples were found to contain 0.7–2.6% amylose when determined iodimetrically by amperometric titration and 0.0–0.9% when determined by size exclusion chromatography after debranching. However, Sepharose CL‐2B elution profiles of the starches detected by iodine staining showed that all four waxy samples were free from detectable amounts of amylose. The amylopectin starches were found to contain a small polysaccharide fraction with molecular size smaller than amylopectin, with an iodine staining λmax range of 550–600 nm. The water extractable and acid extractable β‐glucan contents in the waxy barley cultivars were generally found to be higher than those in normal barley.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Cultivation in β‐carotene vegetables was promoted in a crop‐based intervention in Lusikisiki, Eastern Cape, South Africa. The project also included nutrition education and community‐based growth monitoring, and focused on technology transfer and mobilisation of local organisations. Three years after initiation of the project, participating (n = 219) and non‐participating (n = 223) households were compared in terms of child morbidity, nutritional knowledge, dietary intake and gardening practices. RESULTS: Compared to control households, more caregivers from project households thought that yellow fruit and vegetables were good for their children (73% vs. 45%; P < 0.001), were familiar with the term ‘vitamin A’ (89% vs. 63%; P < 0.001), knew that vitamin A is a nutrient in food (83% vs. 53%; P < 0.001), and could name three food sources rich in vitamin A (56% vs. 27%; P < 0.001). Fewer 1–5‐year‐old children in the project households reportedly experienced vomiting (6% vs. 13%; P = 0.012), fever (30% vs. 42%; P = 0.008), sores on the skin (6% vs. 19%; P < 0.001), continuous runny nose (20% vs. 33%; P = 0.002), diarrhoea (2% vs. 7%; P = 0.026) and poor appetite (7% vs. 14%; P = 0.016). Children from project households consumed carrot (P = 0.008), butternut (P = 0.002), spinach (P = 0.004) and orange‐fleshed sweetpotato (P = 0.028) more frequently than children from control households. CONCLUSION: The agricultural intervention, combined with nutrition education and community‐based growth monitoring, showed a favourable effect on child morbidity, nutritional knowledge and dietary intake of β‐carotene‐rich vegetables.
