The influence of NO 2 on the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NO with ammonia was studied over Fe-ZSM5 coated on cordierite monolith. NO 2 in the feed drastically enhanced the NO x removal efficiency (DeNOx) up to 600 °C, whereas the promoting effect was most pronounced at the low temperature end. The maximum activity was found for NO 2/NO x = 50%, which is explained by the stoichiometry of the actual SCR reaction over Fe-ZSM5, requiring a NH 3:NO:NO 2 ratio of 2:1:1. In this context, it is a special feature of Fe-ZSM5 to keep this activity level almost up to NO 2/NO x = 100%. The addition of NO 2 to the feed gas was always accompanied by the production of N 2O at lower and intermediate temperatures. The absence of N 2O at the high temperature end is explained by the N 2O decomposition and N 2O-SCR reaction. Water and oxygen influence the SCR reaction indirectly. Oxygen enhances the oxidation of NO to NO 2 and water suppresses the oxidation of NO to NO 2, which is an essential preceding step of the actual SCR reaction for NO 2/NO x < 50%. DRIFT spectra of the catalyst under different pre-treatment and operating conditions suggest a common intermediate, from which the main product N 2 is formed with NO and the side-product N 2O by reaction with gas phase NO 2. 相似文献

A systematic reactivity study of N 2O, NO, and NO 2 on highly dispersed CuO phases over modified silica supports (SiO 2–Al 2O 3, SiO 2–TiO 2, and SiO 2–ZrO 2) has been performed. Different reaction paths for the nitrogen oxide species abatement were studied: from direct decomposition (N 2O) to selective reductions by hydrocarbons (N 2O, NO, and NO 2) and oxidation (NO to NO 2). The oxygen concentration, temperature, and contact time, were varied within suitable ranges in order to investigate the activity and in particular the selectivity in the different reactions studied. The support deeply influenced the catalytic properties of the active copper phase. The most acidic supports, SiO 2–Al 2O 3 and SiO 2–ZrO 2, led to a better activity and selectivity of CuO for the reactions of N 2O, NO, and NO 2 reductions and N 2O decomposition than SiO 2–TiO 2. The catalytic results are discussed in terms of actual turnover frequencies starting from the knowledge of the copper dispersion values. 相似文献

The selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NO x (NO + NO 2) by NH 3 in O 2 rich atmosphere has been studied on Cu-FAU catalysts with Cu nominal exchange degree from 25 to 195%. NO 2 promotes the NO conversion at NO/NO 2 = 1 and low Cu content. This is in agreement with next-nearest-neighbor (NNN) Cu ions as the most active sites and with N xO y adsorbed species formed between NO and NO 2 as a key intermediate. Special attention was paid to the origin of N 2O formation. CuO aggregates form 40–50% of N 2O at ca. 550 K and become inactive for the SCR above 650 K. NNN Cu ions located within the sodalite cages are active for N 2O formation above 600 K. This formation is greatly enhanced when NO 2 is present in the feed, and originated from the interaction between NO (or NO 2) and NH 3. The introduction of selected co-cations, e.g. Ba, reduces very significantly this N 2O formation. 相似文献

Reaction activities of several developed catalysts for NO oxidation and NO x (NO + NO 2) reduction have been determined in a fixed bed differential reactor. Among all the catalysts tested, Co 3O 4 based catalysts are the most active ones for both NO oxidation and NO x reduction reactions even at high space velocity (SV) and low temperature in the fast selective catalytic reduction (SCR) process. Over Co 3O 4 catalyst, the effects of calcination temperatures, SO 2 concentration, optimum SV for 50% conversion of NO to NO 2 were determined. Also, Co 3O 4 based catalysts (Co 3O 4-WO 3) exhibit significantly higher conversion than all the developed DeNO x catalysts (supported/unsupported) having maximum conversion of NO x even at lower temperature and higher SV since the mixed oxide Co-W nanocomposite is formed. In case of the fast SCR, N 2O formation over Co 3O 4-WO 3 catalyst is far less than that over the other catalysts but the standard SCR produces high concentration of N 2O over all the catalysts. The effect of SO 2 concentration on NO x reduction is found to be almost negligible may be due to the presence of WO 3 that resists SO 2 oxidation. 相似文献

The effect of oxygen concentration on the pulse and steady-state selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NO with C 3H 6 over CuO/γ-Al 2O 3 has been studied by infrared spectroscopy (IR) coupled with mass spectroscopy studies. IR studies revealed that the pulse SCR occurred via (i) the oxidation of Cu 0/Cu + to Cu 2+ by NO and O 2, (ii) the co-adsorption of NO/NO 2/O 2 to produce Cu 2+(NO 3−) 2, and (iii) the reaction of Cu 2+(NO 3−) 2 with C 3H 6 to produce N 2, CO 2, and H 2O. Increasing the O 2/NO ratio from 25.0 to 83.4 promotes the formation of NO 2 from gas phase oxidation of NO, resulting in a reactant mixture of NO/NO 2/O 2. This reactant mixture allows the formation of Cu 2+(NO 3−) 2 and its reaction with the C 3H 6 to occur at a higher rate with a higher selectivity toward N 2 than the low O 2/NO flow. Both the high and low O 2/NO steady-state SCR reactions follow the same pathway, proceeding via adsorbed C 3H 7---NO 2, C 3H 7---ONO, CH 3COO −, Cu 0---CN, and Cu +---NCO intermediates toward N 2, CO 2, and H 2O products. High O 2 concentration in the high O 2/NO SCR accelerates both the formation and destruction of adsorbates, resulting in their intensities similar to the low O 2/NO SCR at 523–698 K. High O 2 concentration in the reactant mixture resulted in a higher rate of destruction of the intermediates than low O 2 concentration at temperatures above 723 K. 相似文献

The decomposition of N 2O, and the catalytic reduction by NH 3 of N 2O and N 2O + NO, have been studied on Fe-BEA, -ZSM-5 and -FER catalysts. These catalysts were prepared by classical ion exchange and characterized by TPR after various activation treatments. Fe-FER is the most active material in the catalytic decomposition because “oxo-species” reducible at low temperature, appearing upon interaction of Fe II-zeolite with N 2O (-oxygen), are formed in largest amounts with this material. The decomposition of N 2O is promoted by addition of NH 3, and even more with NH 3 + NO in the case of Fe-FER and -BEA. It is proposed that the NO-promoted reduction of N 2O originated from the fast surface reaction between -oxygen O * and NO * to yield NO 2*, which in turn reacts immediately with NH 3. 相似文献

Nitric oxide and nitric dioxide compounds (NO x) present in stack gases from nitric acid plants are usually eliminated by selective catalytic reduction (SCR) with ammonia. In this process, small quantities of nitrous oxide (N 2O) are produced. This undesirable molecule has a high greenhouse gas potential and a long lifetime in the atmosphere, where it can contribute to stratospheric ozone depletion. The influence of catalyst composition and some operating variables were evaluated in terms of N 2O formation, using V 2O 5/TiO 2 catalysts. High vanadia catalyst loading, nitric oxide inlet concentration and reaction temperature increase the generation of this undesirable compound. The results suggest that adsorbed ammonia not only reacts with NO via SCR, but also with small quantities of oxygen activated by the presence of NO. The mechanism proposed for N 2O generation at low temperature is based on the formation of surface V–ON species which may be produced by the partial oxidation of dissociatively adsorbed ammonia species with NO + O 2 (eventually NO 2). When these active sites are in close proximity they can interact to form an N 2O molecule. This mechanism seems to be affected by changes in the active site density produced by increasing the catalyst vanadia loading. 相似文献

The influence of ammonia and nitric oxide oxidation on the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NO by ammonia with copper/nickel and vanadium oxide catalysts, supported on titania or alumina have been investigated, paying special attention to N 2O formation. In the SCR reaction, the VTi catalyst had a higher activity than VAl at low temperatures, while the CuNiAl catalyst had a higher activity than CuNiTi. A linear relationship between the reaction rate of ammonia oxidation and the initial reduction temperature of the catalysts obtained by H 2-TPR showed that the formation rate of NH species in copper/nickel catalysts would be higher than in vanadia catalysts. In situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy (DRIFTS) showed that copper/nickel catalysts presented ammonia coordinated on Lewis acid sites, whereas ammonium ion adsorbed on Brønsted acid sites dominated on vanadia catalysts. The NO oxidation experiments revealed that copper/nickel catalysts had an increase of the NO 2 and N 2O concentrations with the temperature. NO could be adsorbed on copper/nickel catalysts and the NO 2 intermediate species could play an important role in the reaction mechanism. It was suggested that the presence of adsorbed NO 2 species could be related to the N 2O formation. 相似文献

The adsorption and coadsorption of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) reactants and reaction products on CuZSM-5-37 containing 11 wt.-% CuO have been studied by FTIR spectroscopy. The catalyst surface is characterized by both weak acidity and weak basicity as revealed by testing with probe molecules (CO 2, NH 3, H 2O). NO 2 adsorption results in formation of different kinds of nitrates. The same species are formed when NO is coadsorbed with oxygen at 180°C. NO adsorption at ambient temperature also leads to formation of nitrates as well as of Cu 2+NO species. In the presence of oxygen the latter are converted according to the scheme: NO → N 2O 3 → N 2O 4 → NO 2 → NO 3. It is concluded that the surface nitrates are important intermediates in the SCR process. They are thermally stable and resistant towards interaction with CO 2, N 2, O 2, and are only slightly affected by H 2O and NO. However, they posses a high oxidation ability and are fully reduced by propane at 180°C. It is concluded that one of the most important roles of oxygen in SCR by hydrocarbons is to convert NO x into highly active surface nitrates. 相似文献

A series of sulfated zirconia supported Pd/Co catalysts was synthesized by the sol–gel method and examined for NO x reduction by methane. The NO conversion increased up to a Co/S ratio of 0.43, and then decreased at a higher Co loading (Co/S = 0.95). Sulfate content was also essential for obtaining high selectivity to molecular nitrogen. A catalyst loaded with 0.06 wt.% Pd, 2.1 wt.% Co and 2.1 wt.% S (Pd/Co-SZ-2) exhibited remarkable performance under lean conditions and displayed stability in a long-term durability test using a synthetic reaction mixture containing 10% water vapor. This catalyst exhibited the highest sulfur retention most probably as cobalt sulfide. Besides, the catalytic oxidation of NO to NO y groups was confirmed by FT-IR, in agreement with the general mechanism for the SCR of NO by hydrocarbons. In the absence of oxygen in the feed stream, the catalyst was highly active for NO reduction with methane. IR stretching bands assigned to N 2O and adsorbed nitro groups were identified upon adsorbing NO on Pd/Co-SZ-2. This indicates that under rich conditions disproportionation of NO to N 2O and NO 2 occurs and confirms that the formation of NO 2 species is an essential step for NO reduction by CH 4. 相似文献

We present a systematic study of the NH 3-SCR reactivity over a commercial V 2O 5–WO 3/TiO 2 catalyst in a wide range of temperatures and NO/NO 2 feed ratios, which cover (and exceed) those of interest for industrial applications to the aftertreatment of exhaust gases from diesel vehicles. The experiments confirm that the best deNO x efficiency is achieved with a 1/1 NO/NO 2 feed ratio. The main reactions prevailing at the different operating conditions have been identified, and an overall reaction scheme is herein proposed. Particular attention has been paid to the role of ammonium nitrate, which forms rapidly at low temperatures and with excess NO2, determining a lower N2 selectivity of the deNOx process. Data are presented which show that the chemistry of the NO/NO2–NH3 reacting system can be fully interpreted according to a mechanism which involves: (i) dimerization/disproportion of NO2 and reaction with NH3 and water to give ammonium nitrite and ammonium nitrate; (ii) reduction of ammonium nitrate by NO to ammonium nitrite; (iii) decomposition of ammonium nitrite to nitrogen. Such a scheme explains the peculiar deNOx reactivity at low temperature in the presence of NO2, the optimal stoichiometry (NO/NO2 = 1/1), and the observed selectivities to all the major N-containing products (N2, NH4NO3, HNO3, N2O). It also provides the basis for the development of a mechanistic kinetic model of the NO/NO2–NH3 SCR reacting system. 相似文献

The selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NO x assisted by propene is investigated on Pd/Ce 0.68Zr 0.32O 2 catalysts (Pd/CZ), and is compared, under identical experimental conditions, with that found on a Pd/SiO 2 reference catalyst. Physico-chemical characterisation of the studied catalysts along with their catalytic properties indicate that Pd is not fully reduced to metallic Pd for the Pd/CZ catalysts. This study shows that the incorporation of Pd to CZ greatly promotes the reduction of NO in the presence of C 3H 6. These catalysts display very stable deNO x activity even in the presence of 1.7% water, the addition of which induces a reversible deactivation of about 10%. The much higher N 2 selectivity obtained on Pd/CZ suggests that the lean deNO x mechanism occurring on these catalysts is different from that occurring on Pd 0/SiO 2. A detailed mechanism is proposed for which CZ achieves both NO oxidation to NO 2 and NO decomposition to N 2, whereas PdO x activates C 3H 6 via ad-NO 2 species, intermediately producing R-NO x compounds that further decompose to NO and C xH yO z. The role of the latter oxygenates is to reduce CZ to provide the catalytic sites responsible for NO decomposition. The proposed C 3H 6-assisted NO decomposition mechanism stresses the key role of NO 2, R-NO x and C xH yO z as intermediates of the SCR of NO x by hydrocarbons.

加装SCR后,该机排气中的NO/NO x值要明显低于原机状态,而外特性的NO 2/NO x值和N 2O/NO x值高达12.8%和20.7%,均远高于原机的3.0%和0.5%。 相似文献

Sharp NO and O 2 desorption peaks, which were caused by the decomposition of nitro and nitrate species over Fe species, were observed in the range of 520–673 K in temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) from Fe-MFI after H 2 treatment at 773 K or high-temperature (HT) treatment at 1073 K followed by N 2O treatment. The amounts of O 2 and NO desorption were dependent on the pretreatment pressure of N 2O in the H 2 and N 2O treatment. The adsorbed species could be regenerated by the H 2 and N 2O treatment after TPD, and might be considered to be active oxygen species in selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of N 2O with CH 4. However, the reaction rate of CH 4 activation by the adsorbed species formed after the H 2 and N 2O or the HT and N 2O treatment was not so high as that of the CH 4 + N 2O reaction over the catalyst after O 2 treatment. The simultaneous presence of CH 4 and N 2O is essential for the high activity of the reaction, which suggests that nascent oxygen species formed by N 2O dissociation can activate CH 4 in the SCR of N 2O with CH 4. 相似文献

A systematic mechanistic study of NO storage and reduction over Pt/Al 2O 3 and Pt/BaO/Al 2O 3 is carried out using Temporal Analysis of Products (TAP). NO pulse and NO/H 2 pump-probe experiments at 350 °C on pre-reduced, pre-oxidized, and pre-nitrated catalysts reveal the complex interplay between storage and reduction chemistries and the importance of the Pt/Ba coupling. NO pulsing experiments on both catalysts show that NO decomposes to major product N 2 on clean Pt but the rate declines as oxygen accumulates on the Pt. The storage of NO over Pt/BaO/Al 2O 3 is an order of magnitude higher than on Pt/Al 2O 3 showing participation of Ba in the storage even in the absence of gas phase O 2. Either oxygen spillover or transient NO oxidation to NO 2 is postulated as the first steps for NO storage on Pt/BaO/Al 2O 3. The storage on Pt/Ba/Al 2O 3 commences as soon as Pt–O species are formed. Post-storage H 2 reduction provides evidence that a fraction of NO is not stored in close proximity to Pt and is more difficult to reduce. A closely coupled Pt/Ba interfacial process is corroborated by NO/H 2 pump-probe experiments. NO conversion to N 2 by decomposition is sustained on clean Pt using excess H 2 pump-probe feeds. With excess NO pump-probe feeds NO is converted to N 2 and N 2O via the sequence of barium nitrate and NO decomposition. Pump-probe experiments with pre-oxidized or pre-nitrated catalyst show that N 2 production occurs by the decomposition of NO supplied in a NO pulse or from the decomposition of NOx stored on the Ba. The transient evolution of the two pathways depends on the extent of pre-nitration and the NO/H 2 feed ratio. 相似文献

NO removal using CH 4 as a reductant in a dual-bed system has been investigated with Co-NaX and Ag-NaX catalysts, which were prepared by Co 2+-, Ag +-ion exchange into zeolite NaX, respectively, and activation for 5 h at 500 °C. The experimental result has been compared with that of a Co-NaX-CO catalyst, additionally pre-treated under CO flow for the Co-NaX catalyst. The cobalt crystal structure of a Co-NaX-CO catalyst is Co 3O 4, which promotes NO oxidation to NO 2 by excess O 2 at a low temperature (523 K). The mechanical mixture of Co-NaX-CO and Ag-NaX catalysts shows a synergy effect on NO reduction to N 2 by CH 4 in the presence of excess O 2 and H 2O, but the NO reduction decreases quickly as time passes. However, the NO reduction to N 2 in a deNO bed at 523 K and a deNO 2 bed at 423 K, which are relatively lower than the reaction temperatures for common SCR systems, still remained at 67% even in a H 2O 10% gas mixture after 160 min. 相似文献

In this paper, the effect of CO 2 and H 2O on NO x storage and reduction over a Pt–Ba/γ-Al 2O 3 (1 wt.% Pt and 30 wt.% Ba) catalyst is shown. The experimental results reveal that in the presence of CO 2 and H 2O, NO x is stored on BaCO 3 sites only. Moreover, H 2O inhibits the NO oxidation capability of the catalyst and no NO 2 formation is observed. Only 16% of the total barium is utilized in NO storage. The rich phase shows 95% selectivity towards N 2 as well as complete regeneration of stored NO. In the presence of CO 2, NO is oxidized into NO 2 and more NO x is stored as in the presence of H 2O, resulting in 30% barium utilization. Bulk barium sites are inactive in NO x trapping in the presence of CO 2·NH 3 formation is seen in the rich phase and the selectivity towards N 2 is 83%. Ba(NO 3) 2 is always completely regenerated during the subsequent rich phase. In the absence of CO 2 and H 2O, both surface and bulk barium sites are active in NO x storage. As lean/rich cycling proceeds, the selectivity towards N 2 in the rich phase decreases from 82% to 47% and the N balance for successive lean/rich cycles shows incomplete regeneration of the catalyst. This incomplete regeneration along with a 40% decrease in the Pt dispersion and BET surface area, explains the observed decrease in NO x storage. 相似文献

Both NO decomposition and NO reduction by CH 4 over 4%Sr/La 2O 3 in the absence and presence of O 2 were examined between 773 and 973 K, and N 2O decomposition was also studied. The presence of CH 4 greatly increased the conversion of NO to N 2 and this activity was further enhanced by co-fed O 2. For example, at 773 K and 15 Torr NO the specific activities of NO decomposition, reduction by CH 4 in the absence of O 2, and reduction with 1% O 2 in the feed were 8.3·10 −4, 4.6·10 −3, and 1.3·10 −2 μmol N 2/s m 2, respectively. This oxygen-enhanced activity for NO reduction is attributed to the formation of methyl (and/or methylene) species on the oxide surface. NO decomposition on this catalyst occurred with an activation energy of 28 kcal/mol and the reaction order at 923 K with respect to NO was 1.1. The rate of N 2 formation by decomposition was inhibited by O 2 in the feed even though the reaction order in NO remained the same. The rate of NO reduction by CH 4 continuously increased with temperature to 973 K with no bend-over in either the absence or the presence of O 2 with equal activation energies of 26 kcal/mol. The addition of O 2 increased the reaction order in CH 4 at 923 K from 0.19 to 0.87, while it decreased the reaction order in NO from 0.73 to 0.55. The reaction order in O 2 was 0.26 up to 0.5% O 2 during which time the CH 4 concentration was not decreased significantly. N 2O decomposition occurs rapidly on this catalyst with a specific activity of 1.6·10 −4 μmol N 2/s m 2 at 623 K and 1220 ppm N 2O and an activation energy of 24 kcal/mol. The addition of CH 4 inhibits this decomposition reaction. Finally, the use of either CO or H 2 as the reductant (no O 2) produced specific activities at 773 K that were almost 5 times greater than that with CH 4 and gave activation energies of 21–26 kcal/mol, thus demonstrating the potential of using CO/H 2 to reduce NO to N 2 over these REO catalysts. 相似文献

The catalytic reduction of NO x in the typical operation temperatures and oxygen concentrations of diesel engines has been studied in the presence of V3W9Ti in a tubular flow reactor. The results have shown that the selective catalytic reduction is strongly affected by the oxygen concentration in low temperature range (150–275 °C). At higher temperatures, the reaction becomes independent of the O 2 concentration. The rate of the selective catalytic reduction of NO with ammonia may be considerably enhanced by converting part of the NO into NO 2. DRIFT measurements have shown that NH 3 and NO 2 are adsorbed on the catalyst surface on the contrary of NO. The experiments have shown that the decrease in N 2 selectivity of the SCR reaction is mainly due to the SCO of ammonia and to the formation of nitrous oxide. 相似文献

Cu-AlTS-1 catalyst was prepared by solid state ion exchange and studied in the NO and N 2O decomposition. Oscillation was observed in a wide range of experimental conditions during the decomposition of N 2O. At full N 2O conversion, oscillations were observed only in the O 2 and NO concentrations the latter being out of phase with respect to O 2 and being originated from the decomposition of an excess oxygen containing nitrito–nitrato-like surface complex. Traces of NO extinguished the oscillations and increased the N 2O conversion if it was below 100%. The NO also plays a key role in the feed back and synchronisation. 相似文献
