Considering the promising efficiency of composites, in the current study, a graphene oxide (GO)-magnetite-Prussian blue (PB) composite material was prepared. The composite exhibited electrical conductivity, magnetic permeability, and permittivity nature, and was evaluated using electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding studies. GO was developed by the Hummer's method, ferrite (Fe3O4) was incorporated by the sol-gel method, and PB was introduced in the mixture by an in-situ process. The fabricated samples were studied by X-ray diffraction, Raman Spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy along with EMI shielding efficiency (SE) evaluation. The SE of ?71.66 dB of reflection losses was measured at a frequency of 1.5 MHz. The GO/Fe3O4/PB composite provided the best results for the detection in the 1–18 MHz frequency range because of its excellent electric and magnetic properties. The obtained results demonstrated that the GO/Fe3O4/PB composite has promising potential applications in EMI shielding.  相似文献

Macroscopic parallel aligned non-woven carbon fibers were incorporated into Al2O3 composites in this study to evaluate the contribution of multiple reflections to the total electric magnetic interference (EMI) shielding. Results indicate that parallel aligned non-woven carbon fiber layers contribute significantly to the total EMI shielding effectiveness (SET) of Al2O3 composites by largely enhancing the EMI absorption, and seven parallel aligned thin non-woven carbon fiber layers finally make the almost microwave-transparent Al2O3 an excellent EMI shielding material with an EMI SET as high as 29–32 dB in the X-band frequency range. The volume fraction of carbon fibers in Al2O3 composites with seven carbon fiber layers is calculated to be only 0.5%, and therefore the EMI SE enhancement efficiency by parallel aligned large non-woven carbon fiber layers is much higher than other highly conducting nano fillers. It validates the significance of multiple reflections in achieving high EMI shielding properties in ceramic composites and provides an instructive approach to design efficient EMI shielding ceramic composites.  相似文献

Facing increasing electromagnetic radiation pollution, soft sensors with electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding is highly desirable. Here, flexible electromagnetic shielding [polyacrylonitrile/Fe3O4/polyaniline]//[multiwalled carbon nanotube/polyvinyl pyrrolidone] (denoted [PAN/Fe3O4/PANI]//[MWCNT/PVP]) Janus membrane is reported for pressure and sliding sensing. The [PAN/Fe3O4/PANI] layer of Janus membrane as the force and sliding sensing unit can generate direct current-type (DC-type) voltage signals by conducting polymer/metal Schottky junction, whereas [MWCNT/PVP] layer serves as main electromagnetic shielding unit. Under the vertical force and horizontal sliding of aluminum (Al) foil, it can output DC-type voltage signals based on the Schottky contact. The performance of [PAN/Fe3O4/PANI]//[MWCNT/PVP] Janus membrane for pressure and sliding sensing is appropriately explored and assessed. Moreover, the Janus membrane exhibits excellent shielding effects with average EMI shielding effectiveness (SE) of 37.54 dB in 8.2–12.4 GHz (X-Band) frequency ranges. Thus, based on the asymmetrical double-layer structure, soft DC-type sensor with EMI shielding is achieved, showing utilization potential in wearable electronics and intelligent robots.  相似文献

This study aims to provide insights into the absorption and shielding performances of Fe3O4 modified oligo-layered Ti3C2Tx towards microwave electromagnetic interference. Oligo-layered Ti3C2Tx was modified by Fe3O4 nanoparticles (60 nm) via a facile electrostatic assembly approach at different loading rates. This composite was shown to have high dielectric constant and high permeability compared with oligo-layered Ti3C2Tx. The microwave electromagnetic absorbing and shielding performances were monitored through a vector network instrument with focuses on the EMI performance. The sample Ti3C2Tx/Fe3O4 with a 5:1 mass ratio of Ti3C2Tx to Fe3O4 displayed the optimized EMI shielding performance. The average SE value was 62.19 dB, and the maximum value was 68.72 dB at 18 GHz with a 2.6 mm thickness. The EMI shielding mechanism was understood based on the conductive loss, magnetic loss, dipole polarization, and multiple scattering. Results suggests that Ti3C2Tx/Fe3O4 composites are expected to be superior EMI shielding material.  相似文献

This study focuses on the electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness (EMI SE) of SiC nanowire/SiC ceramic composites (SiCnw/SiC) manufactured by chemical vapor infiltration of SiCnw aerogels with carbon‐rich SiC. The total EMI SE of a 1.0 mm thick ceramic composite specimen with density of only 2.68 g/cm3, was found to be 43‐44 dB, which indicates an excellent EM shielding capability of the ceramic composite corresponding to blocking of 99.99% of the incident EM signal. It was found that the carbon‐rich CVI‐SiC matrix possess excellent EM shielding properties, therefore, the CVI‐SiC CMCs themselves possess an excellent EM shielding property as a result of the carbon‐rich SiC matrix.  相似文献

Ceramic matrix composites are typically prepared by a costly, time-consuming process under severe conditions. Herein, a cost-effective C/SiC composite was fabricated from a silicon gel-derived source by Joule heating. The β-SiC phase was generated via carbothermal reduction, and the carbon fabric showed a well-developed graphitic structure, promoting its thermal and anti-oxidation stabilities. Owing to the excellent dielectric loss in carbon fabric, SiC and SiO2 as well as the micropore structure of the ceramic matrix, the absolute electromagnetic interference shielding (EMI) effectiveness (SSE/t) reached 948.18 dB?cm2?g-1 in the X-band, exhibiting an excellent EMI SE. After oxidation at 1000 °C for 10 h in the air, the SSE/t of the composite was only reduced to 846.02 dB?cm2?g-1. The C/SiC composite promises the efficient fabrication of high-temperature resistant materials for electromagnetic shielding applications.  相似文献

Aiming to prepare high-performance electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials, chopped carbon fibers were incorporated into mullite ceramic matrix via rapid prototyping process of spark plasma sintering (SPS). Results indicate that Cf/mullite composites with only 1 wt% of carbon fibers exhibit highest shielding effectiveness (SET) over 40 dB at a small thickness of 2.0 mm, showing great advantages both in terms of performance and thickness compared with many mature carbon/ceramic composites. The high EMI shielding properties mainly depend on two mechanisms of absorption and reflection in this present work. The enhanced absorption and reflection of electromagnetic wave are ascribed to the promotional electrical conductivity arising from the formation of conductive network by introduction of carbon fibers. Regarding enhanced electrical conductivity, notable intensified interfacial polarization on a large number of interfaces between mullite matrix and carbon fibers is also the key factor to the improved absorption, which makes absorption play a dominant role in the significant improvement of EMI SET. The Cf/mullite composites with excellent EMI shielding properties and thin thickness show great potential application as EMI materials.  相似文献

An efficient electromagnetic shielding composite based on multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs)-filled styrene acrylic emulsion-based polymer has been prepared in a water-based system. The MWCNTs were demonstrated to have an effect on the dielectric constants, which effectively enhance electromagnetic shielding efficiency (SE) of the composites. A low conductivity threshold of 0.23 wt% can be obtained. An EMI SE of ~28 dB was achieved for 20 wt% MWCNTs. The AC conductivity (σ ac) of the composites, deduced from imaginary permittivity, was used to estimate the SE of the composites in X band (8.2–12.4 GHz), showing a good agreement with the measured results.  相似文献

Effective electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials have garnered substantial interest for their efficacy in attenuating electromagnetic wave energy, ensuring data confidentiality, ensuring the operational stability of fragile electronic systems. To begin, artificially cultured diatom frustules (DF)-derived porous silica (DFPS) skeletons were constructed as templates in this study. Porous ceramics hot-pressed at 800 °C displayed a high compressive strength with a high specific surface area due to their three-dimensional (3D) multilayered and porous structures. Then, mechanically robust Ti3C2Tx/DFPS composites with exceptional EMI shielding performance were fabricated by immersing porous DF-based ceramics into Ti3C2Tx solutions and annealing in an argon environment to increase the materials’ shielding efficiency (SE). The EMI SE of composites hot-pressed at 800 °C achieved the maximum EMI SE of 43.2 dB in the X-band and a compressive strength of 67.5 MPa, establishing a hitherto unreported balance of mechanical characteristics and shielding performance. Prolonged transmission paths, multiple dissipation, scattering and reflection of electromagnetic energy were achieved using a well-maintained hierarchical porous silica framework decorated with MXene, with adsorption caused by surface MXene serving as the primary shielding mechanism for the composites. Due to their superior overall performance, MXene/DFPS EMI shielding composites have a bright future in the aircraft sector as delicate electronic device components.  相似文献

A novel nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR)/magnetite (Fe3O4) nanocomposite for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding at microwave frequency was successfully fabricated. The structural features of as-synthesized magnetite and NBR/Fe3O4 were examined by X-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The number of elastically effective chains, volume fraction of rubber, interparticle distance among conductive sites, polymer–filler interaction, and porosity of the nanocomposites were evaluated. The mechanical properties, including the tensile strength, elongation at break, and hardness, of the composites were measured. The static electrical properties, such as the electrical conductivity, carrier mobility, and number of charge carriers, as a function of magnetite content were evaluated. The interrelation between the electrical conductivity, shielding effectiveness (SE), dielectric constant, and skin depth of the composites are discussed. Finally, the EMI SE versus frequency was tested. The results reveal that an SE of 28–91 dB against EMI in the 1–12 GHz range depended on the loading of the conducting magnetite within the NBR matrix. Accordingly, these nanocomposites may used in the field of microwave absorption devices. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci, 2012  相似文献

The rising demand for faster and more efficient electronic devices forces electronics industry to shift toward terahertz frequencies. Therefore there is a growing need for efficient, lightweight, and easy to produce absorbing materials in the terahertz range for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding and related applications. This study presents a study on basic optical properties of two types polymer-based composites loaded with two-dimensional structures—graphene and MXene phases (Ti2C). In said range, total EMI shielding efficiency (SE) and its components, the absorption coefficient (α ), refractive index, and complex dielectric function are investigated. The ratio of SE absorption component to reflection component (SEABS :SER ) of fabricated composites is equal or higher than 30:1 in over 80% of studied range. The fabricated composites exhibit low (<0.1) loss tangent in studied range. The addition of 1 wt% of graphene increases the composite α over 10-fold in respect to pure polymer–up to 60 cm−1 for frequency higher than 2 THz.  相似文献

Composites with silica matrix and mixed filler of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and BaTiO3 powder were fabricated. Excellent uniform dispersion of MWCNTs can be obtained using a two-step mixing method. Both of the real and imaginary parts of complex permittivity increased with increasing MWCNT content and measured temperature. The electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding results showed that the absorption mechanism is the main contribution to the total EMI shielding effectiveness (SE). Compared with the EMI SE resulting from reflection, the absorption showed more dependence on the MWCNT content, measured temperature and frequency. The total EMI SE is greater than 20 dB at 25 °C and 50 dB at 600 °C in the whole frequency range of 12.4–18 GHz with a 1.5 mm composite thickness, which suggests that the MWCNT–BaTiO3/silica composites could be good candidates for the EMI shielding materials in the measured frequency and temperature region.  相似文献

Carbon/ceramic composites are promising candidates as electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials used at various harsh environments. The aim of present work is to prepare and investigate two kinds of composite ceramics reinforced with carbon nanowires (CNWs) and nanowires-nanotubes (CNWs-CNTs) hybrid, respectively. Results indicate that CNWs is highly curved and multi-defected, and CNWs-CNTs hybrid shows the best crystal structure at an optimal catalyst concentration of 5 wt%. When CNWs accounts for 5.15 wt%, the total shielding effectiveness (SE) of CNWs/Si3N4 reaches 25.0 dB with absorbed SE of 21.3 dB, meaning that 99.7% incident signal can be blocked, while it reaches 25.4 dB for CNWs-CNTs/Si3N4 as the carbon loading only increasing to 3.91 wt%. By contrast, CNWs/Si3N4 exhibits better electromagnetic attenuation capability with stronger absorption, mainly due to the unique microstructure of CNWs. Both of two composite ceramics have great potential to be designed as structural and multi-functional materials.  相似文献

CuxCo1-xFe2O4 (x = 0.33, 0.67, 1)-reduced graphene oxide (rGO)-thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) nanocomposites exhibiting highly efficient electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding were prepared by a melt-mixing approach using a microcompounder. Spinel ferrite Cu0.33Co0.67Fe2O4 (CuCoF1), Cu0.67Co0.33Fe2O4 (CuCoF2) and CuFe2O4 (CuF3) nanoparticles were synthesized using the sonochemical method. The CuCoF1 and CuCoF2 exhibited typical ferromagnetic features, whereas CuF3 displayed superparamagnetic characteristics. The maximum value of EMI total shielding effectiveness (SET) was noticed to be 42.9 dB, 46.2 dB, and 58.8 dB for CuCoF1-rGO-TPU, CuCoF2-rGO-TPU, and CuF3-rGO-TPU nanocomposites, respectively, at a thickness of 1 mm. The highly efficient EMI shielding performance was attributed to the good impedance matching, conductive, dielectric, and magnetic loss. The demonstrated nanocomposites are promising candidates for a lightweight, flexible, and highly efficient EMI shielding material.  相似文献

Microwave dielectric properties along with electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness (EMI SE) of a multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT)/barium titanate (BaTiO3) nanocomposite are investigated in this paper. Appropriate amount of sintering additive (Bi2O3 +?B2O3) was doped into some nanocomposites to reduce the sintering temperatures. The dielectric properties of the nanocomposites with various MWCNT and sintering additive contents were evaluated at different microwave frequency ranges. It was found that the incorporation of optimized amount of (Bi2O3 +?B2O3) can give rise to significantly good dielectric properties. Results also indicated that incorporation of 6?wt% (Bi2O3 +?B2O3) into 1.5?mm-thick nanocomposite containing 8?wt% MWCNT led to an EMI SE greater than 28?dB, suggesting this novel nanocomposite as a promising candidate for microwave absorption and electromagnetic interference applications.  相似文献

Shielding materials are becoming increasingly important, but present materials suffer from either insufficient mechanical stability or limited shielding properties. In this study, 3D flexible copper sulfide (CuxS)/polyacrylonitrile (PAN) nanofiber mats are developed via air spinning followed by chemical reaction with copper salt. The CuxS/PAN nanofiber mats exhibit an ultra‐lightweight density of 0.044 g cm?3 and a thickness of 0.423 mm. Stable electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding effectiveness (SE) (29–31 dB) of the CuxS/PAN composite is achieved in the frequency range of 500–3000 MHz. EMI SE per unit surface density of 16 655.92 dB cm2 g?1 is several orders of magnitude higher than most copper sulfide containing EMI shielding materials reported in literature. In addition, the introduction of the CuxS improves the thermal stability and launderability of the PAN mats giving the mats thermal, mechanical, and aqueous stability. Finally, the shielding mechanism of the CuxS/PAN nanofiber mats for electromagnetic waves is proposed  相似文献

In this study, a three-dimensional (3D) micro-flower like morphology aluminum-doped molybdenum disulfide/reduced graphene oxide (Al@MoS2/rGO) nanohybrids have been developed using a simple and sensitive hydrothermal approach. Their electromagnetic (EM) parameters (permittivity, permeability) and microwave shielding parameters (S11, S12) have been analyzed and reported for the first time in the microwave frequency range of 8.0–12.0 GHz. It is interesting to note that the electrical conductivity of the nanohybrids increases with the doping concentration of Al-ions, whereas skin-depth has a reverse trend. The 12% Al@MoS2/rGO nanohybrid shows a higher total electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness (EMI SE) value about SET ~33.38 dB, whereas undoped MoS2/rGO nanohybrid exhibits a lower value around ~17.07 dB at the same thin thickness. The higher doping concentration of Al-ion creates lattice distortion and crystal defects with high charge carrier mobility between multiple interfaces and at defective sites. Hence, the Al-doping into MoS2 lattice supported on the rGO surface can greatly enhance EM wave absorption and EMI SE value. The present work suggests that the 12% Al@MoS2/rGO nanohybrid can be treated as a good microwave absorbing and shielding material and useful in various techno-commercial devices.  相似文献

Carbon nanotube films (BPs) as EMI shielding materials can be applied in electronic and communication devices due to their high electrical conductivity. Sandwich structures can offer excellent shielding effectiveness by introducing a wave-transmitting layer between conductive films. However, the optimization of the structure demands a deep investigation and plays a crucial role in the final shielding properties of the composites. In this work, BPs are incorporated into epoxy substrates with variable thicknesses (1–6 mm) to fabricate epoxy/BP sandwich structures. The morphology of the CNT films is analyzed by SEM, and the electrical conductivity of all prepared samples is measured by 4-point method. The electromagnetic tests are carried out in the X-band (8.2–12.4 GHz) through the scattering parameters. SEM images reveal a porous structure without visible agglomeration. The electrical conductivity of the BP reaches up to 996 S/m, whereas the values for epoxy/BP composites varies in the range of 8.51–3.13 S/m (1 to 3 mm). BP total shielding efficiency (SET) is approximately 14 dB along the X-band spectrum, with similar contributions of reflection and absorption losses. While, the composites show mainly absorbing behavior, especially in the thicker samples, with more significant SET values (23.4 dB–6 mm).  相似文献

The electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding mechanisms of multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT)/polymer composites were analyzed experimentally and theoretically. For the experimental analysis, EMI shielding effectiveness (SE) of MWCNT/polypropylene (PP) composite plates made in three different thicknesses and at four different concentrations were studied. A model based on the shielding of electromagnetic plane wave was used to theoretically study the EMI shielding mechanisms. The experimental results showed that absorption is the major shielding mechanism and reflection is the secondary shielding mechanism. The modeling results demonstrated that multiple-reflection within MWCNT internal surfaces and between MWCNT external surfaces decrease the overall EMI SE. The EMI SE of MWCNT/PP composites increased with increase in MWCNT content and shielding plate thickness.  相似文献

Searching for thermal conductive materials with high electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding effectiveness (SE) is the key to protect electronic equipment against electromagnetic pollution and excess heat emission. Herein, NdB6/SiO2 bulks with high EMI SE and thermal conductivity which also exhibit good mechanical properties were prepared by liquid phase sintering (LPS). The NdB6/SiO2 bulk prepared by LPS at 1550 °C has fine grain-size, which is beneficial to improving mechanical property and EMI shielding performance. It exhibits high conductivity of 1.47 × 104 S/cm, high EMI SE of 55.1 dB in K band, and high thermal conductivity of 37.9 W/m K. It also possesses flexural strength of 266 MPa and Vickers hardness of 14.8 GPa. Thus, NdB6/SiO2 composite ceramics are promising candidates for EMI shielding with good heat dissipation and mechanical load-bearing capabilities.  相似文献
