介绍了一种D波段连续波行波管放大器。该行波管采用了高压缩比皮尔斯会聚电子枪、折叠波导慢波结构(FWSWS)、蓝宝石输能盒形窗、周期永磁聚焦系统、集中衰减器以及一级降压收集极,经过装配、焊接、排气、磁场调试等过程,得到了D波段连续波放大器样管,并进行了流通率的调试和信号放大的测试。实验测试结果为:电子电压15.4 kV,电子流通率97%时,连续波输出功率7.3 W,中心频率140.2 GHz,增益24.6 dB,3 dB带宽3 GHz。该放大器连续运行稳定,满足工程化要求。 相似文献

研究了G波段双注折叠波导(FWG)TE20模的基本特性。首先计算了双注FWG TE20模的高频特性,采用等效电路法计算了色散特性;根据定义式计算了耦合阻抗,同时将二者的计算结果与HFSS仿真结果进行对比。结果显示,色散特性随频率升高差距增大,耦合阻抗随频率升高差距降低。利用电磁仿真技术(CST)粒子模拟软件对双注FWG TE20模的注-波互作用情况进行仿真,得到了慢波结构中电子轨迹以及输入输出信号频谱图,结果表明,在工作频率为205 GHz时,四段FWG的增益为34.74 dB。 相似文献

对折叠波导慢波结构进行了研究,对其色散特性和耦合阻抗进行分析,并设计了输能窗和电子光学系统,在此基础上进行了粒子模拟的束波互作用计算。通过设计,对0.14 THz 行波管进行了制管工艺的研究,包括慢波结构的加工和焊接等,完成了热测实验。在电压为16.3 kV,电子流通率为74%条件下,测试得到最大饱和输出功率3.1 W,输出频率140.08 GHz,增益27 dB,最大功率半带宽2.82 GHz。 相似文献

行波管具有高增益、宽带宽、高输出功率等优点,但频率提升到THz后,输出功率急剧降低,为此采用多注与功率合成的方式提高输出功率。对D波段折叠波导行波管进行的理论与数值分析表明:单束的3 d B带宽为13 GHz(0.134 THz~0.147 THz),0.14 THz处最大增益为20.88 d B;多束合成增益为20.6 d B,3 d B带宽内合成效率不低于92%。通过微铣削的办法加工完成了2路折叠波导,并对其传输特性进行测量,对比分析了测试与设计结果。并行多注行波管能够以单束小电流、低聚焦磁场方式工作,可有效提高THz行波管的输出功率。 相似文献

毫米波行波管具有大功率、宽频带、高增益等特点,广泛用于雷达、高速通信、电子对抗等现代军事装备中。为提高折叠波导耦合阻抗并考虑工程应用性,提出一种耳型折叠波导新型慢波结构。与常规矩形波导相比,工作频带内耦合阻抗提高30%以上,损耗降低10%。研制的耳型折叠波导W波段行波管,在工作电压21.9 kV,电流210 mA,占空比为5%时,10.8 GHz带宽内输出功率大于192 W,峰值功率达278 W,电子效率和增益分别达到6.3%和44.6 dB,行波管工作稳定。 相似文献

翼片加载折叠波导电路是一种改进型的行波管互作用电路。与原始结构相比,它具有提高的耦合阻抗、扩展的横向尺寸以及更加灵活的设计能力,因此适合工作在太赫兹频段。首先采用理论模型设计了工作频率0.22THz的慢波结构;然后采用三维粒子模拟技术对翼片加载折叠波导行波管放大器的非线性性能进行了研究。结果显示,新型结构具有高的互作用效率和宽频带放大的能力。在中心工作频率220GHz处,2mW的驱动功率下可以得到4W的饱和输出功率,对应的电子效率和增益分别为2.47%和33dB(考虑了电路的导体损耗);恒定功率下扫频模拟显示,放大器的瞬时3dB带宽可达13.6,频率范围覆盖205~235GHz。 相似文献

Two kinds of novel helical slow wave circuit, supported by Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) diamond, are presented. They are applying in miniaturized millimeter wave helical traveling wave tube. Cold test characteristic of these circuits are simulated by MAFIA code. Higher performances are achieved with smaller size, compared with conventional circuit supported by BeO rods. The nonlinear analysis is implemented by Beam and Wave Interaction (BWI) module, which is a part of TWTCAD Integrated Framework. Results have been found to be consistent with the expectation. This paper presents a tapered ridge-loaded folded waveguide (FWG) slow-wave structure (SWS) for broadband and high power millimeter
wave traveling wave tube (TWT). The radio-frequency characteristics including dispersion properties, interaction impedance,
S-parameters are analyzed. And based upon these results, the nonlinear large signal performance of the tapered ridge-loaded
folded waveguide TWT working in W-band is simulated by 3-D particle-in-cell code. In the same ridge length, the tapered FWG
has lower reflection and radio-frequency loss than the normal ridge-loaded FWG. Besides, the tapered ridge-loaded FWG TWT

The cold-test characteristics of the dielectric-loaded folded waveguide traveling-wave tube (FWTWT) amplifier are investigated
theoretically and the Pierce small-signal theory is employed to confirm the results. For the purpose of analysis, the discussions
are separated into symmetric case and unsymmetrical case according to the loading form of the dielectrics. The calculation
results indicate that both of them, especially the unsymmetrical form, can significantly reduce the phase velocity and flatten
the dispersion curve. However, loading dielectric in an unsymmetrical form will lead to a large decrease in the on-axis interaction
impedance, thus it is recommended to use the symmetrical form. It is further found that when the thickness of the dielectric
is small, i.e. h
1/a ≤ 0.1, the interaction impedance is slightly affected by the variations on dielectric constant. The Pierce linear theory
for a Q-band dielectric-loaded FWTWT amplifier shows that the bandwidth is increased from 15.08% to 27.03% and the operating
