Flexible supercapacitors have shown enormous potential for portable electronic devices. Herein, hierarchical 3D all‐carbon electrode materials are prepared by assembling N‐doped graphene quantum dots (N‐GQDs) on carbonized MOF materials (cZIF‐8) interweaved with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) for flexible all‐solid‐state supercapacitors. In this ternary electrode, cZIF‐8 provides a large accessible surface area, CNTs act as the electrical conductive network, and N‐GQDs serve as highly pseudocapactive materials. Due to the synergistic effect and hierarchical assembly of these components, N‐GQD@cZIF‐8/CNT electrodes exhibit a high specific capacitance of 540 F g?1 at 0.5 A g?1 in a 1 m H2SO4 electrolyte and excellent cycle stability with 90.9% capacity retention over 8000 cycles. The assembled supercapacitor possesses an energy density of 18.75 Wh kg?1 with a power density of 108.7 W kg?1. Meanwhile, three supercapacitors connected in series can power light‐emitting diodes for 20 min. All‐solid‐state N‐GQD@cZIF‐8/CNT flexible supercapacitor exhibits an energy density of 14 Wh kg?1 with a power density of 89.3 W kg?1, while the capacitance retention after 5000 cycles reaches 82%. This work provides an effective way to construct novel electrode materials with high energy storage density as well as good cycling performance and power density for high‐performance energy storage devices via the rational design.  相似文献

One of the key challenges of aqueous supercapacitors is the relatively low voltage (0.8–2.0 V), which significantly limits the energy density and feasibility of practical applications of the device. Herein, this study reports a novel Ni–Mn–O solid‐solution cathode to widen the supercapacitor device voltage, which can potentially suppress the oxygen evolution reaction and thus be operated stably within a quite wide potential window of 0–1.4 V (vs saturated calomel electrode) after a simple but unique phase‐transformation electrochemical activation. The solid‐solution structure is designed with an ordered array architecture and in situ nanocarbon modification to promote the charge/mass transfer kinetics. By paring with commercial activated carbon anode, an ultrahigh voltage asymmetric supercapacitor in neutral aqueous LiCl electrolyte is assembled (2.4 V; among the highest for single‐cell supercapacitors). Moreover, by using a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)–LiCl electrolyte, a 2.4 V hydrogel supercapacitor is further developed with an excellent Coulombic efficiency, good rate capability, and remarkable cycle life (>5000 cycles; 95.5% capacity retention). Only one cell can power the light‐emitting diode indicator brightly. The resulting maximum volumetric energy density is 4.72 mWh cm?3, which is much superior to previous thin‐film manganese‐oxide‐based supercapacitors and even battery–supercapacitor hybrid devices.  相似文献

Although some progress has been made on stretchable supercapacitors, traditional stretchable supercapacitors fabricated by predesigning structured electrodes for device assembling still lack the device‐level editability and programmability. To adapt to wearable electronics with arbitrary configurations, it is highly desirable to develop editable supercapacitors that can be directly transferred into desirable shapes and stretchability. In this work, editable supercapacitors for customizable shapes and stretchability using electrodes based on mechanically strengthened ultralong MnO2 nanowire composites are developed. A supercapacitor edited with honeycomb‐like structure shows a specific capacitance of 227.2 mF cm?2 and can be stretched up to 500% without degradation of electrochemical performance, which is superior to most of the state‐of‐the‐art stretchable supercapacitors. In addition, it maintains nearly 98% of the initial capacitance after 10 000 stretch‐and‐release cycles under 400% tensile strain. As a representative of concept for system integration, the editable supercapacitors are integrated with a strain sensor, and the system exhibits a stable sensing performance even under arm swing. Being highly stretchable, easily programmable, as well as connectable in series and parallel, an editable supercapacitor with customizable stretchability is promising to produce stylish energy storage devices to power various portable, stretchable, and wearable devices.  相似文献

Graphene electrode–based supercapacitors are in high demand due to their superior electrochemical characteristics. A major bottleneck of using the supercapacitors for commercial applications lies in their inferior electrode cycle life. Herein, a simple and facile method to fabricate highly efficient supercapacitor electrodes using pristine graphene sheets vertically stacked and electrically connected to the carbon fibers which can result in vertically aligned graphene–carbon fiber nanostructure is developed. The vertically aligned graphene–carbon fiber electrode prepared by electrophoretic deposition possesses a mesoporous 3D architecture which enabled faster and efficient electrolyte‐ion diffusion with a gravimetric capacitance of 333.3 F g?1 and an areal capacitance of 166 mF cm?2. The electrodes displayed superlong electrochemical cycling stability of more than 100 000 cycles with 100% capacitance retention hence promising for long‐lasting supercapacitors. Apart from the electrochemical double layer charge storage, the oxygen‐containing surface moieties and α‐Ni(OH)2 present on the graphene sheets enhance the charge storage by faradaic reactions. This enables the assembled device to provide an excellent gravimetric energy density of 76 W h kg?1 with a 100% capacitance retention even after 1000 bending cycles. This study opens the door for developing high‐performing flexible graphene electrodes for wearable energy storage applications.  相似文献

The development of integrated high‐performance supercapacitors with all‐in‐one configuration, excellent flexibility and autonomously intrinsic self‐healability, and without the extra healable film layers, is still tremendously challenging. Compared to the sandwich‐like laminated structures of supercapacitors with augmented interfacial contact resistance, the flexible healable integrated supercapacitor with all‐in‐one structure could theoretically improve their interfacial contact resistance and energy densities, simplify the tedious device assembly process, prolong the lifetime, and avoid the displacement and delamination of multilayered configurations under deformations. Herein, a flexible healable all‐in‐one configured supercapacitor with excellent flexibility and reliable self‐healing ability by avoiding the extra healable film substrates and the postassembled sandwich‐like laminated structures is developed. The healable all‐in‐one configured supercapacitor is prepared from in situ polymerization and deposition of nanocomposites electrode materials onto the two‐sided faces of the self‐healing hydrogel electrolyte separator. The self‐healing hydrogel film is obtained from the physically crosslinked hydrogel with enormous hydrogen bonds, which can endow the healable capability through dynamic hydrogen bonding. The assembled all‐in‐one configured supercapacitor exhibits enhanced capacitive performance, good cycling stability, reliable self‐healing capability, and excellent flexibility. It holds broad prospects for obtaining various flexible healable all‐in‐one configured supercapacitors for working as portable energy storage devices in wearable electronics.  相似文献

Graphene fiber based micro‐supercapacitors (GF micro‐SCs) have attracted great attention for their potential applications in portable and wearable electronics. However, due to strong π–π stacking of nanosheets for graphene fibers, the limited ion accessible surface area and slow ion diffusion rate leads to low specific capacitance and poor rate performance. Here, the authors report a strategy for the synthesis of a vertically oriented graphene nanoribbon fiber with highly exposed surface area through confined‐hydrothermal treatment of interconnected graphene oxide nanoribbons and consequent laser irradiation process. As a result, the as‐obtained fiber shows high length specific capacitance of 3.2 mF cm?1 and volumetric capacitance of 234.8 F cm?3 at 2 mV s?1, as well as excellent rate capability and outstanding cycling performance (96% capacitance retention after 10 000 cycles). Moreover, an all‐solid‐state asymmetric supercapacitor based on graphene nanoribbon fiber as negative electrode and MnO2 coated graphene ribbon fiber as positive electrode, shows high volumetric capacitance and energy density of 12.8 F cm?3 and 5.7 mWh cm?3 (normalized to the device volume), respectively, much higher than those of previously reported GF micro‐SCs, as well as a long cycle life with 88% of capacitance retention after 10 000 cycles.  相似文献

The self-healing electrolytes play an essential role in self-healing supercapacitors. Herein, poly (vinyl alcohol)/sulphuric acid (PVA/H2SO4) hydrogel electrolytes with self-healing properties are prepared, which has been achieved by dynamic hydrogen bonds between PVA chains. The obtained PVA hydrogel displays fast self-healing capability, reliable mechanical performance (stress at 0.29 MPa after stretching to 238%) and high ionic conductivity (57.8 mS cm?1). Based on these excellent properties, an all-in-one self-healing supercapacitor is assembled by in situ polymerization of aniline on the surface of PVA/H2SO4 hydrogel electrolyte. The assembled all-in-one supercapacitor shows outstanding capacitance performance (specific capacitance 504 mF cm?2 at current density of 0.2 mA cm?2 and energy density 35 μWh cm?2 at power density 100 μW cm?2), good cycle stability (after 5000 cycles of charging and discharging, the capacitance retention rate is 77%), excellent flexibility and considerable self-healing performance (69% capacitance retention rate after the fifth self-healing cycle). This self-healing supercapacitor will promote the development of self-healing energy storage devices in wearable electronics.

To date, it has been a great challenge to design high‐performance flexible energy storage devices for sufficient loading of redox species in the electrode assemblies, with well‐maintained mechanical robustness and enhanced electron/ionic transport during charge/discharge cycles. An electrochemical activation strategy is demonstrated for the facile regeneration of carbon nanotube (CNT) film prepared via floating catalyst chemical vapor deposition strategy into a flexible, robust, and highly conductive hydrogel‐like film, which is promising as electrode matrix for efficient loading of redox species and the fabrication of high‐performance flexible pseudosupercapacitors. The strong and conductive CNT films can be effectively expanded and activated by electrochemical anodic oxygen evolution reaction, presenting greatly enhanced internal space and surface wettability with well‐maintained strength, flexibility, and conductivity. The as‐formed hydrogel‐like film is quite favorable for electrochemical deposition of manganese dioxide (MnO2) with loading mass up to 93 wt% and electrode capacitance kept around 300 F g?1 (areal capacitance of 1.2 F cm?2). This hybrid film was further used to assemble a flexible symmetric pseudosupercapacitor without using any other current collectors and conductive additives. The assembled flexible supercapacitors exhibited good rate performance, with the areal capacitance of more than 300 mF cm?2, much superior to other reported MnO2 based flexible thin‐film supercapacitors.  相似文献

High‐performance yet flexible micro‐supercapacitors (MSCs) hold great promise as miniaturized power sources for increasing demand of integrated electronic devices. Herein, this study demonstrates a scalable fabrication of multilayered graphene‐based MSCs (MG‐MSCs), by direct laser writing (DLW) of stacked graphene films made from industry‐scale chemical vapor deposition (CVD). Combining the dry transfer of multilayered CVD graphene films, DLW allows a highly efficient fabrication of large‐areal MSCs with exceptional flexibility, diverse planar geometry, and capability of customer‐designed integration. The MG‐MSCs exhibit simultaneously ultrahigh energy density of 23 mWh cm?3 and power density of 1860 W cm?3 in an ionogel electrolyte. Notably, such MG‐MSCs demonstrate an outstanding flexible alternating current line‐filtering performance in poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)/H2SO4 hydrogel electrolyte, indicated by a phase angle of ?76.2° at 120 Hz and a resistance–capacitance constant of 0.54 ms, due to the efficient ion transport coupled with the excellent electric conductance of the planar MG microelectrodes. MG–polyaniline (MG‐PANI) hybrid MSCs fabricated by DLW of MG‐PANI hybrid films show an optimized capacitance of 3.8 mF cm?2 in PVA/H2SO4 hydrogel electrolyte; an integrated device comprising MG‐MSCs line filtering, MG‐PANI MSCs, and pressure/gas sensors is demonstrated.  相似文献

A novel high‐performance flexible gel polymer electrolyte (FGPE) for supercapacitors is prepared by a freeze‐drying method. In the presence of 1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium chloride (BMIMCl) ionic liquid, Li2SO4 can easily be added into poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) aqueous solution over a large concentration range. The resultant FGPE demonstrates considerably high ionic conductivity (37 mS cm−1) and a high fracture strain at 100% elongation at the optimal weight ratio of PVA:BMIMCl:Li2SO4 = 1:3:2.2. The supercapacitor fabricated with the resultant FGPE and activated carbon electrodes shows an electrode‐specific capacitance of 136 F g−1 with a stable operating voltage of 1.5 V, a maximum energy density of 10.6 Wh kg−1, and a power density of 3400 W kg−1. Double supercapacitors in series can efficiently drive a light emitting diode (LED) bulb for over 5 min and the retention of the specific capacitance reaches 90% even after 3000 charge–discharge cycles. The ionic conductivity and charge–discharge behaviors of the resultant FGPE are not affected by bending up to 180°. The flexible supercapacitor device shows only a small capacitance loss of 18% after 1000 cycles of 135° bending.  相似文献

Flexible supercapacitors with high electrochemical performance and stability along with mechanical robustness have gained immense attraction due to the substantial advancements and rampant requirements of storage devices. To meet the exponentially growing demand of microsized energy storage device, a cost‐effective and durable supercapacitor is mandatory to realize their practical applications. Here, in this work, the fabrication route of novel electrode materials with high flexibility and charge‐storage capability is reported using the hybrid structure of 1D zinc oxide (ZnO) nanorods and conductive polyvinylidene fluoride‐tetrafluoroethylene (P(VDF‐TrFE)) electrospun nanofibers. The ZnO nanorods are conformably grown on conductive P(VDF‐TrFE) nanofibers to fabricate the light‐weighted porous electrodes for supercapacitors. The conductive nanofibers acts as a high surface area scaffold with significant electrochemical performance, while the addition of ZnO nanorods further enhances the specific capacitance by 59%. The symmetric cell with the fabricated electrodes presents high areal capacitance of 1.22 mF cm?2 at a current density of 0.1 mA cm?2 with a power density of more than 1600 W kg?1. Furthermore, these electrodes show outstanding flexibility and high stability with 96% and 78% retention in specific capacitance after 1000 and 5000 cycles, respectively. The notable mechanical durability and robustness of the cell acquire both good flexibility and high performance.  相似文献

Fiber supercapacitors (FSCs) are promising energy storage devices in portable and wearable smart electronics. Currently, a major challenge for FSCs is simultaneously achieving high volumetric energy and power densities. Herein, the microscale fiber electrode is designed by using carbon fibers as substrates and capillary channels as microreactors to space‐confined hydrothermal assembling. As P‐doped graphene oxide/carbon fiber (PGO/CF) and NiCo2O4‐based graphene oxide/carbon fiber (NCGO/CF) electrodes are successfully prepared, their unique hybrid structures exhibit a satisfactory electrochemical performance. An all‐solid‐state PGO/CF//NCGO/CF flexible asymmetric fiber supercapacitor (AFSC) based on the PGO/CF as the negative electrode, NCGO/CF hybrid electrode as the positive electrode, and poly(vinyl alcohol)/potassium hydroxide as the electrolyte is successfully assembled. The AFSC device delivers a higher volumetric energy density of 36.77 mW h cm?3 at a power density of 142.5 mW cm?3. In addition, a double reference electrode system is adopted to analyze and reduce the IR drop, as well as effectively matching negative and positive electrodes, which is conducive for the optimization and improvement of energy density. For the AFSC device, its better flexibility and electrochemical properties create a promising potential for high‐performance micro‐supercapacitors. Furthermore, the introduction of the double reference electrode system provides an interesting method for the study on the electrochemical performances of two‐electrode systems.  相似文献

Rapid advances in functional electronics bring tremendous demands on innovation toward effective designs of device structures. Yarn supercapacitors (SCs) show advantages of flexibility, knittability, and small size, and can be integrated into various electronic devices with low cost and high efficiency for energy storage. In this work, functionalized stainless steel yarns are developed to support active materials of positive and negative electrodes, which not only enhance capacitance of both electrodes but can also be designed into stretchable configurations. The as‐made asymmetric yarn SCs show a high energy density of 0.0487 mWh cm?2 (10.19 mWh cm?3) at a power density of 0.553 mW cm?2 (129.1 mW cm?3) and a specific capacitance of 127.2 mF cm?2 under an operating voltage window of 1.7 V. The fabricated SC is then made into a stretchable configuration by a prestraining‐then‐releasing approach using polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) tube, and its electrochemical performance can be well maintained when stretching up to a high strain of 100%. Moreover, the stretchable cable‐type SCs are stably workable under water‐immersed condition. The method opens up new ways for fabricating flexible, stretchable, and waterproof devices.  相似文献

Micrometer‐sized electrochemical capacitors have recently attracted attention due to their possible applications in micro‐electronic devices. Here, a new approach to large‐scale fabrication of high‐capacitance, two‐dimensional MoS2 film‐based micro‐supercapacitors is demonstrated via simple and low‐cost spray painting of MoS2 nanosheets on Si/SiO2 chip and subsequent laser patterning. The obtained micro‐supercapacitors are well defined by ten interdigitated electrodes (five electrodes per polarity) with 4.5 mm length, 820 μm wide for each electrode, 200 μm spacing between two electrodes and the thickness of electrode is ~0.45 μm. The optimum MoS2‐based micro‐supercapacitor exhibits excellent electrochemical performance for energy storage with aqueous electrolytes, with a high area capacitance of 8 mF cm?2 (volumetric capacitance of 178 F cm?3) and excellent cyclic performance, superior to reported graphene‐based micro‐supercapacitors. This strategy could provide a good opportunity to develop various micro‐/nanosized energy storage devices to satisfy the requirements of portable, flexible, and transparent micro‐electronic devices.  相似文献

Nanostructured conductive polymer hydrogels (CPHs) have been extensively applied in energy storage owing to their advantageous features, such as excellent electrochemical activity and relatively high electrical conductivity, yet the fabrication of self‐standing and flexible electrode‐based CPHs is still hampered by their limited mechanical properties. Herein, macromolecularly interconnected 3D graphene/nanostructured CPH is synthesized via self‐assembly of CPHs and graphene oxide macrostructures. The 3D hybrid hydrogel shows uniform interconnectivity and enhanced mechanical properties due to the strong macromolecular interaction between the CPHs and graphene, thus greatly reducing aggregation in the fiber‐shaping process. A proof‐of‐concept all‐gel‐state fibrous supercapacitor based on the 3D polyaniline/graphene hydrogel is fabricated to demonstrate the outstanding flexibility and mouldability, as well as superior electrochemical properties enabled by this 3D hybrid hydrogel design. The proposed device can achieve a large strain (up to ≈40%), and deliver a remarkable volumetric energy density of 8.80 mWh cm?3 (at power density of 30.77 mW cm?3), outperforming many fiber‐shaped supercapacitors reported previously. The all‐hydrogel design opens up opportunities in the fabrication of next‐generation wearable and portable electronics.  相似文献

The design of advanced high‐energy‐density supercapacitors requires the design of unique materials that combine hierarchical nanoporous structures with high surface area to facilitate ion transport and excellent electrolyte permeability. Here, shape‐controlled 2D nanoporous carbon sheets (NPSs) with graphitic wall structure through the pyrolysis of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are developed. As a proof‐of‐concept application, the obtained NPSs are used as the electrode material for a supercapacitor. The carbon‐sheet‐based symmetric cell shows an ultrahigh Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET)‐area‐normalized capacitance of 21.4 µF cm?2 (233 F g?1), exceeding other carbon‐based supercapacitors. The addition of potassium iodide as redox‐active species in a sulfuric acid (supporting electrolyte) leads to the ground‐breaking enhancement in the energy density up to 90 Wh kg?1, which is higher than commercial aqueous rechargeable batteries, maintaining its superior power density. Thus, the new material provides a double profits strategy such as battery‐level energy and capacitor‐level power density.  相似文献

The micro‐supercapacitors are of great value for portable, flexible, and integrated electronic equipments. Here, the large‐scale and integrated asymmetrical micro‐supercapacitor (AMSC) array is fabricated in virtue of the laser direct writing and electrodeposition technology. The AMSC shows the ideal flexibility, high areal specific capacitance (21.8 mF cm?2), and good rate capability. Moreover, its energy density reaches 12.16 µW h cm?2, outperforming most micro‐supercapacitors reported previously. Meanwhile, large‐scale series‐connected AMSCs are integrated on the flexible substrates (e.g., indium tin oxide‐polyethylene terephthalate film), which can power a veriety of the commercial electronics. The combination of AMSCs array, solar cell, and electronic device proves the feasibility for practical application in the portable, flexible, and integrated electronic equipments.  相似文献

A poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(4‐styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) hydrogel is prepared by thermal treatment of a commercial PEDOT:PSS (PH1000) suspension in 0.1 mol L?1 sulfuric acid followed by partially removing its PSS component with concentrated sulfuric acid. This hydrogel has a low solid content of 4% (by weight) and an extremely high conductivity of 880 S m?1. It can be fabricated into different shapes such as films, fibers, and columns with arbitrary sizes for practical applications. A highly conductive and mechanically strong porous fiber is prepared by drying PEDOT:PSS hydrogel fiber to fabricate a current‐collector‐free solid‐state flexible supercapacitor. This fiber supercapacitor delivers a volumetric capacitance as high as 202 F cm?3 at 0.54 A cm?3 with an extraordinary high‐rate performance. It also shows excellent electrochemical stability and high flexibility, promising for the application as wearable energy‐storage devices.  相似文献

Compared with 2D S‐based and Se‐based transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), Te‐based TMDs display much better electrical conductivities, which will be beneficial to enhance the capacitances in supercapacitors. However, to date, the reports about the applications of Te‐based TMDs in supercapacitors are quite rare. Herein, the first supercapacitor example of the Te‐based TMD is reported: the type‐II Weyl semimetal 1Td WTe2. It is demonstrated that single crystals of 1Td WTe2 can be exfoliated into the nanosheets with 2–7 layers by liquid‐phase exfoliation, which are assembled into air‐stable films and further all‐solid‐state flexible supercapacitors. The resulting supercapacitors deliver a mass capacitance of 221 F g?1 and a stack capacitance of 74 F cm?3. Furthermore, they also show excellent volumetric energy and power densities of 0.01 Wh cm?3 and 83.6 W cm?3, respectively, superior to the commercial 4V/500 µAh Li thin‐film battery and the commercial 3V/300 µAh Al electrolytic capacitor, in association with outstanding mechanical flexibility and superior cycling stability (capacitance retention of ≈91% after 5500 cycles). These results indicate that the 1Td WTe2 nanosheet is a promising flexible electrode material for high‐performance energy storage devices.  相似文献

A full understanding of ion transport in porous carbon electrodes is essential for achieving effective energy storage in their applications as electrochemical supercapacitors. It is generally accepted that pores in the size range below 0.5 nm are inaccessible to electrolyte ions and lower the capacitance of carbon materials. Here, nitrogen‐doped carbon with ultra‐micropores smaller than 0.4 nm with a narrow size distribution, which represents the first example of electrode materials made entirely from ultra‐microporous carbon, is prepared. An in situ electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance technique to study the effects of the ultra‐micropores on charge storage in supercapacitors is used. It is found that ultra‐micropores smaller than 0.4 nm are accessible to small electrolyte ions, and the area capacitance of obtained sample reaches the ultrahigh value of 330 µF cm?2, significantly higher than that of previously reported carbon‐based materials. The findings provide a better understanding of the correlation between ultra‐micropore structure and capacitance and open new avenues for design and development of carbon materials for the next generation of high energy density supercapacitors.  相似文献
