Tetrapod-like nano-particle ZnO/acrylic resin composite was prepared by a direct dispersing method forming a multi-function coating. The composite with uniform distribution of nano-ZnO in the acrylic resin have both anti-electrostatic and antibacterial functions. The coatings can be used for plastic materials or others. With the goal of developing a waterborne coating material that prevents staining, organic-inorganic composites prepared from
colloidal silica and two types of acrylic resin emulsions were investigated as exterior coatings. conventional acrylic resin
emulsion and organic silane hybridized acrylic resin emulsion prepared by emulsion polymerization were mixed with colloidal
silica to form organic-inorganic comiposite films. The addition of colloidal silica to emulsions yielded films with higher
hydrophilicities, as indicated by lower water contact angles for these films in comparison to films without colloidal silica.
The water contact angles of organic silane hybridized acrylic resin emulsion/colloidal silica films were lower than those
of acrylic resin emulsion/colloidal silica films. Composite films containing colloidal silica particles smaller than 100 nm
in diameter showed high hydrophilicities. Observations of the dispersed state of colloidal silicaparticles in organic-inorganic
composite films by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) demonstrated that colloidal
silica particles were densely aggregated on the film surface. Outdoor exposure tests of the coating materials prepared from
organic silane hybridized acrylic resin and colloidal silica particles with diameters of 7.5 nm showed excellent stain resistance. 相似文献

A novel method for preparing epoxy graft poly(St-acrylate) composite latex with high graft ratio has been devised. First, esterification was carried out between acrylic acid and an epoxy resin using the monomer as the solvent. The obtained sample, still in solution in the monomer, was emulsified to miniemulsion droplets together with other monomers. Finally, the epoxy graft acrylate composite latex was prepared by miniemulsion copolymerization. This technology will eliminate pollution arising from the organic solvent when solvent-borne systems are used. The enhanced graft ratio was confirmed by FTIR and 1H NMR measurements. The results indicated that the acrylic monomer was grafted onto the epoxy chain. TEM showed the graft composite latex to have a spherical structure with diameter 100 nm. The adhesive performance and anti-corrosive properties on a steel substrate, as measured by salt-spray resistance, were maximized when 4.0% acrylic acid was added to the epoxy resin. Dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) has been employed to test the damping properties of the composite latex coatings. It was interesting that the tan δ peak values of the coatings were as high as 2.15, clearly exceeding those of general damping materials. Preparation and characterization of weather resistant silicone/acrylic resin coatings were conducted. In order to prepare
these coatings, a silicone/acrylic resin (KLD) was first prepared by an addition polymerization reaction of monomers, including
n-butyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, n-butyl methacrylate, and 3-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (MPTS). In the preparation
of the silicone/acrylic resin, Tg of the acrylic copolymer was fixed at 40°C and the contents of MPTS were varied to be 10, 20, and 30 wt%. The weather resistant
silicone/acrylic resin coatings were then prepared by blending the synthesized silicone/acrylic resin and TiO2. The viscosity of the synthesized resin decreased with the content of MPTS, whereas the thermal stability at high temperature
increased. The prepared coatings exhibited excellent adhesion to various substrates, and various physical properties of the
coatings were satisfactory. The weatherability of the coatings was tested three ways: outdoor exposure test, Weather-Ometer
(WOM), and QUV accelerated weatherability tester (QUV). The gloss retention, yellowness index difference, color difference,
and lightness index difference were improved at high MPTS concentration. The coatings containing 30 wt% MPTS have especially
good weather properties.

“Effect of nano-ZnO particles on the corrosion behavior of alkyd-based waterborne coatings” 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A nano-composite was formed by incorporating nano-ZnO in a specially developed alkyd-based waterborne coating to different loading levels. The nano-ZnO based composite coatings were applied on mild steel substrate by dipping. The coated panels were subjected to various test environments like salt-spray, humidity, UV and mechanical tests like scratch and abrasion. The improvement in electrochemical performance and mechanical properties of the composite coatings were evaluated using various analytical techniques. FTIR technique was used to investigate the interaction between nano-ZnO particles and the polymer functionalities. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) was done to study the curing behavior of nano-composite coatings. SEM and AFM were used to investigate dispersion of nano-ZnO particles and the changes in the surface behavior of the coatings before and after exposure to the test environment. The result showed that, with increase in the concentration of nano-ZnO there was an improvement in the corrosion resistance, UV resistance and mechanical properties of the coatings indicating the positive effect of addition of nano-ZnO particles in the coatings. 相似文献

The degree of UV protection afforded by nano-ZnO in a polyurethane/acrylic clear topcoat was investigated. The influence of
nano-ZnO concentration and dry film thickness on the optical properties (e.g., UV permeability and visible transmittance)
of the coating was probed using a library of 28 samples that were prepared by high throughput techniques. A model for predicting
the UV permeability of nano-ZnO filled coatings was developed and the nano-ZnO loading condition required to block >99% UV
radiation was determined to be 2.0 g/m2. This model can be used to assist in the development of coatings and other polymeric systems embedded with nano-ZnO to protect
the coating and underlying materials (i.e., substrate) from UV degradation.

介绍了水性双组分氟丙烯酸-聚氨酯涂料所用原料及其预处理,水性双组分氟丙烯酸-聚氨酯涂料的羟基组分采用两步法合成:第一步合成了具有大分子表面活性剂性能的水性聚氨酯,在合成的过程中引入了双键和羟基组分;然后采用无皂乳液聚合的方法合成了以氟丙烯酸酯为核、聚氨酯为壳的水性树脂。并列举了采用该树脂与水性固化剂配合研制的清漆的性能指标,该清漆有着非常广泛的用途,讨论了影响涂料性能的各种因素。该双组分清漆水性含氟丙烯酸酯-聚氨酯清漆具有优异的综合性能。 相似文献

Chitosan was used to introduce formaldehyde adsorption abilities into an emulsion binder for interior finishing coatings.
Chitosan-hybridized acrylic emulisions were prepared by two methods. To produce stable chitosan-hybridized acrylic emulsions,
the pre-emulsion dropping method is superior to the monomer dropping method. The adsorption performances for fonnaldehyde
in chitosan-hybridized acrylic resin films increased with increasing chitosan contents; the films also had adsorption abilities
for hydrogen sulfide and ammonia. Tensile strengths and elongation at breaking points decreased with increasing chitosan contents.
Interior finishing coatings made from chitosan-hybridized acrylic resin emulsions have the qualities necessary for an interior
finishing coating and showed excellent adsorption abilities for formaldehyde. 相似文献
