Heterogeneity of technical and business designs, complexity of business collaborations, diversity and fragmentation of business roles are just some of the consequences of service platform evolution that complicate their business analysis. Service-oriented business models are usually on a higher abstraction level than the underlying service platform designs. Business models require detailing prior to their financial analysis, in order to include a proper cost and revenue structure and a realistic risk picture in techno-economic analyses. Understanding well service platform business processes and scenarios is equally important for realistic modeling of service usage, delivery and provision. This work discusses a techno-business modeling approach for quantitative analysis of services and platforms (21, 20 and 19), which “reinterprets” the business models by service platforms’ technical and business entities, processes and scenarios. In such a way it describes the roles, responsibilities and incentives of collaborating business actors in service delivery and provision and uses them in business analyses and valuations. We explain the approach theoretically, illustrate its analytical potential and demonstrate its practical use on the proof-of-the-concept service platform.  相似文献

This article summarizes the major results from European projects drawing final conclusions and recommendations from the technoeconomic evaluation of three telecommunications market studies. It presents an analysis addressing a wide range of crucial telecommunications questions debated today. The business cases are: seamless mobile IP service provision, 3G mobile virtual network operators (MVNO), and fixed networks for broadband IP services. Extensive market analysis has been carried out for modeling demand, penetrations, and tariff structures for new mobile services and broadband services as an input to the business cases. Results show that over a 10-year study period, UMTS business is profitable in most cases for established operators with reasonable market share. The 3G MVNO business case is profitable under typical conditions when MVNO yields about 10 percent penetration, depending on the country type. Provision of fixed broadband services with a fiber to the curb solution is viable in dense urban and urban areas, but not in suburban environments, while fiber to the home is viable only in dense urban areas, despite the selection of protocol (ATM vs. Ethernet). Furthermore, broadband wireless access (BWA) systems, in dense urban and urban areas, show quite promising economic results.  相似文献

This letter presents a model for a dynamic collaboration (DC) platform among cloud providers (CPs) that prevents adverse business impacts, cloud vendor lock‐in and violation of service level agreements with consumers, and also offers collaborative cloud services to consumers. We consider two major challenges. The first challenge is to find an appropriate market model in order to enable the DC platform. The second is to select suitable collaborative partners to provide services. We propose a novel combinatorial auction‐based cloud market model that enables a DC platform among CPs. We also propose a new promising multi‐objective optimization model to quantitatively evaluate the partners. Simulation experiments were conducted to verify both of the proposed models.  相似文献

The success of new service provision platforms will largely depend on their ability to blend with existing technologies. The advent of Internet telephony, although impressive, is unlikely to make telephone customers suddenly turn in favor of computers. Rather, customers display increasing interest in services that span multiple networks (especially Internet protocol-based networks and the telephone and cellular networks) and open new vistas. We refer to these services as hybrid services and propose an architecture for their provision. This architecture allows for programming the service platform elements (i.e., network nodes, gateways, control servers, and terminals) in order to include new service logics. We identify components that can be assembled to build these logics by considering a service as a composition of features such as address translation, security, call control, connectivity, charging, and user interaction. Generic service components are derived from the modeling of these features. We assure that our proposal can be implemented even in existing systems in return for slight changes. These systems are required to generate an event when a special service is encountered. The treatment of this event is handled by an object at a Java service layer. Java has been chosen for its platform-neutrality property and its embedded security mechanisms. Using our architecture, we design a hybrid closed user group service  相似文献

The complexity of modern hardware design has created the need for higher levels of abstraction, where system modeling is used to integrate modules into complex System-on-Chip (SoCs) platforms. SystemC, and its TLM (Transaction Level Modeling) extensions, have been used for this purpose mainly because of their fast prototyping and simulation features, which allow for early design space exploration. This paper proposes an approach to explore and interact with SystemC models by means of an introspection technique known as Computational Reflection. We use reflection to implement a white-box introspection mechanism called ReflexBox. We show that ReflexBox is a fast, non-intrusive technique that can be used to dynamically gather and inject stimuli into any SystemC module, without the need to use a proprietary SystemC implementation, change the SystemC library, instrument or even inspect the module source code. Our approach can be used to support many different verification tasks like platform debugging, performance evaluation and communication analysis. To show ReflexBox effectiveness we used it in three platforms case studies to address tasks like register inspection, performance analysis and signal replaying for testbench reuse. In all cases we assumed no source code availability and measured the impact on the overall platform performance.  相似文献

紧紧围绕现代服务体系建设要求,以评价因子为基础,以量化积分为路径,以权重配比为条件,构建了营销全业务量化积分评价体系。以层次分析法为基础进行建模仿真,探索形成适合营销专业特点的评价模型,保证结果客观公正,全程化覆盖,实现总体评价精准。该评价体系首次实现了对营销全业务总体评价的打分,同时总体评价又可细分为过程评价和专业评价,可以更加精准地实现对营销的全业务管控,保障业务规范运作。实践表明,项目实施有力推动了营销工作的自我修复和自我提升,助力电力营商环境优化。  相似文献

As cloud data center has caught the eye of the information-intensive society since its birth, it keeps on a flourishing development due to its advantages such as high availability and resource utilization, rapid elasticity and disaster recovery. However, as a complex system, it means the centralization of failures and risks, which exerts great influence on the service that cloud data center provides to customers. Thus, the service reliability of the cloud data center is always a key concern. In order to evaluate and further improve the service reliability of the cloud data center, modeling analysis is absolutely necessary but difficult to apply because of the complicated cloud control flows, massive-scale service sharing and complex real-world infrastructures. Focused on the active-active data center, which is a typical mode of the cloud data center, a methodology of the service reliability modeling and analysis based on IT infrastructure is proposed. In this methodology, the queuing theory and graph theory are used to formulate the service reliability model, but the Monte Carlo simulation is used for statistical evaluation. During the modeling, the operational process of the active-active data center is divided into two parts—the request stage and execution stage, which are modeled respectively. Then, the modeling and evaluation approaches are applied in a use case, which verifies the applicability and creditability of our approach. Meanwhile, by sensitivity analysis considering the variation of uncertain or key factors both internal and external, several parameters are identified as high-sensitive factors, which can enlighten service providers on service reliability improvement.  相似文献

The operational continuity of a business process is an important performance indicator that contributes to the perceived quality of service delivery, hence it is important to understand and monitor the underlying issues that can affect the performance of the process. These issues might have been foreseen at the beginning of the process design and deployment phase, or might have emerged during the execution of the process, and must be viewed as risk threats to the business process. In most cases risk is only considered from the project management angle or from financial, market, insurance and other general business perspective. Operational risk at service provision level receives little attention and thus there is a need to develop methodologies and tools to identify and analyse business operational risks. The authors concentrate on operational risk for business process management by introducing a novel way for applying risk assessment frameworks at the process activity level. The paper briefly reviews existing risk frameworks and selects the COSO framework as the most appropriate for business processes. This framework is modified in order to address and evaluate the main elements of business processes. It defines a statistical approach towards operational risk assessment by quantifying risk factors in each activity within a business process for service provision. A risk forecast is produced for each activity, and for the whole process, to model associated uncertainties and to contribute in identifying the risk factors that affect the business process objectives. To demonstrate the framework, it is applied to a hypothetical process involving setting up a network service. These results help to advise on which risk factors need higher attention in order to achieve successful process fulfilment.  相似文献

Cloud computing refers to the provision of computational resources on demand via a computer network. It is considered to be the third IT revolution following personal computer revolution and the Internet revolution. IAAS, a kind of service provided by cloud computing, can supply users with the convenience and flexibility of virtual resources to achieve the same power supply as the water supply. Though there are kinds of existing IAAS solutions, but they are all common system architecture design, without taking into account the characteristics of applications resulting in inefficient service provision. In this paper, by referencing service-oriented philosophy IAAS platform is reconstructed. Based on loosely coupled physical resources by virtualization technology, a policy-based management system is provided to optimize service monitoring and service scheduling. 云计算平台不仅是云产品实现的基础,而且是体现云计算运营思路内涵的表达形式。以Salesforce公司的平台即服务(PaaS)平台为例,对基于多租户架构模型的PaaS平台的各个部分进行了详细剖析,展示了该平台内在的关键支撑技术,总结了技术选用的原则。Salesforce公司的PaaS平台整体架构分为基础物理设施资源和Force.com平台。Force.corn平台是整体架构的核心部件,分为网关和虚拟服务器群(POD)。最后指出云产品平台的构建要选用适合企业自身发展的技术,并与公司经营理念相适应,以推动企业云服务经营业务的发展。  相似文献

Current trends in microprocessor design integrate several autonomous processing cores onto the same die. These multicore architectures are particularly well-suited for computer vision applications, where it is typical to perform the same set of operations repeatedly over large datasets. These memory- and computation-intensive applications can reap tremendous performance and accuracy benefits from concurrent execution on multi-core processors. However, cost-sensitive embedded platforms place real-time performance and efficiency demands on techniques to accomplish this task. Furthermore, parallelization and partitioning techniques that allow the application to fully leverage the processing capabilities of each computing core are required for multi-core embedded vision systems. In this paper, we evaluate background modeling techniques on a multicore embedded platform, since this process dominates the execution and storage costs of common video analysis workloads. We introduce a new adaptive backgrounding technique, multimodal mean, which balances accuracy, performance, and efficiency to meet embedded system requirements. Our evaluation compares several pixel-level background modeling techniques in terms of their computation and storage requirements, and functional accuracy for three representative video sequences, across a range of processing and parallelization configurations. We show that the multimodal mean algorithm delivers comparable accuracy of the best alternative (Mixture of Gaussians) with a 3.4× improvement in execution time and a 50% reduction in required storage for optimal block processing on each core. In our analysis of several processing and parallelization configurations, we show how this algorithm can be optimized for embedded multicore performance, resulting in a 25% performance improvement over the baseline processing method.  相似文献
