Li0.5Ni0.25TiOPO4/C composite was synthesized by the co-precipitation method using polyethylene glycol as carbon source. X-ray diffraction study showed that the as-prepared material crystallizes in the monoclinic system (S.G. P21/c). This 3D structure exhibits an open framework favourable to intercalation reactions. The morphology and the microstructure characterisation was performed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Small particles (∼1 μm) coated by carbon were observed. Raman study confirms the presence of carbon graphite in the Li0.5Ni0.25TiOPO4/C composite. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) and charge-discharge galvanostatic cycling were used to characterize its electrochemical properties. The Li0.5Ni0.25TiOPO4/C composite exhibits excellent electrochemical performances with good capacity retention for 50 cycles. Approximately 200 mAh/g could be reached at C, C/2, C/5 and C/20 rates in the 0.5-3 V potential range. These results clearly evidenced the positive effect of the carbon coating on the electrochemical properties of the studied phosphate.  相似文献

Vulcan XC-72 carbon black particles (average size: ca. 50 nm) was incorporated into polyaniline (PANI) matrix by an electrochemical codeposition technique during the electropolymerization process. The doping by carbon particles leads to a higher polymeric degree and a lower defect density in the PANI structure. Furthermore, the incorporation of carbon particles not only increases the electrochemical accessible surface areas (Sa) and electron conductivity of the PANI film, but also decreases charge transfer resistance at PANI/electrolyte interfaces. Therefore, as expected, a fabricated PANI + C composite film with dispersed Pt and PtRu particles exhibited excellent electrocatalytic activity for methanol oxidation due to better Pt dispersion and utilization. The PANI + C composite film is more promising as a support material in electrocatalysis than a PANI film. Meanwhile, a new application for regular carbon black as a doping material into conducting polymer for electrocatalysis was thus demonstrated.  相似文献

Three types of composite supercapacitor electrodes were prepared; electroactive polyaniline (PANI), PANI/multi-walled carbon nanotube (CNT), and PANI/CNT/RuO2. Specifically, the PANI and PANI/CNT were prepared by polymerization, and PANI/CNT/RuO2 was prepared by electrochemical deposition of RuO2 on the PANI/CNT matrix. Cyclic voltammetry between −0.2 and 0.8 V (vs. Ag/AgCl) at various scan rates was performed to investigate the supercapacitive properties in an electrolyte solution of 1.0 M H2SO4. The PANI/CNT/RuO2 electrode showed the highest specific capacitance at all scan rates (e.g., 441 and 392 F g−1 at 100 and 1,000 mV s−1, respectively). In contrast, the PANI/CNT electrode demonstrated the best capacitance retention (66%) after 104 cycles. Additional analysis including morphology and complex impedance spectroscopy suggested that with small loading of RuO2, an increase in capacitance was observed, but dissolution and/or detachment of RuO2 species from the electrode might occur during cycling to reduce the cycle performance.  相似文献

The carbon-coated monoclinic Li3V2(PO4)3 (LVP) cathode materials were synthesized by a solid-state reaction process under the same conditions using citric acid, glucose, PVDF and starch, respectively, as both reduction agents and carbon coating sources. The carbon coating can enhance the conductivity of the composite materials and hinder the growth of Li3V2(PO4)3 particles. Their structures and physicochemical properties were investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric (TG), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and electrochemical methods. In the voltage region of 3.0-4.3 V, the electrochemical cycling of these LVP/C electrodes all presents good rate capability and excellent cycle stability. It is found that the citric acid-derived LVP owns the largest reversible capacity of 118 mAh g−1 with no capacity fading during 100 cycles at the rate of 0.2C, and the PVDF-derived LVP possesses a capacity of 95 mAh g−1 even at the rate of 5C. While in the voltage region of 3.0-4.8 V, all samples exhibit a slightly poorer cycle performance with the capacity retention of about 86% after 50 cycles at the rate of 0.2C. The reasons for electrochemical performance of the carbon coated Li3V2(PO4)3 composites are also discussed. The solid-state reaction is feasible for the preparation of the carbon coated Li3V2(PO4)3 composites which can offer favorable properties for commercial applications.  相似文献

Carbon-coated SnS2 nanoparticles were prepared by a simple solvothermal route at low temperature. A carbon coating with a thickness of about 5 nm was deposited on nano-sized SnS2 particles to serve as the anode in lithium-ion batteries. Both the nanostructure and the morphology of the SnS2 powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The coated samples were used as active anode materials for lithium-ion batteries, and their electrochemical properties were examined by constant current charge-discharge cycling, cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The reversible capacity of the carbon-coated SnS2 after 50 cycles was 668 mAh/g, which was much higher than that of the uncoated SnS2 (293 mAh/g). The carbon-coated SnS2 also had a better rate capability than the uncoated SnS2 in the range of 0.008-1 C. The capacity retention of the carbon-coated SnS2 was improved due to its good conductivity and the effective buffer matrix that alleviated volume expansion during the charge-discharge process.  相似文献

Pure, nano-sized LiFePO4 and LiFePO4/C cathode materials are synthesized by spray-drying and post-annealing method. The influence of the sintering temperature and carbon coating on the structure, particle size, morphology and electrochemical performance of LiFePO4 cathode material is investigated. The optimum processing conditions are found to be thermal treatment for 10 h at 600 °C. Compared with LiFePO4, LiFePO4/C particles are smaller in size due to the inhibition of crystal growth to a great extent by the presence of carbon in the reaction mixture. And that the LiFePO4/C composite coated with 3.81 wt.% carbon exhibits the best electrode properties with discharge capacities of 139.4, 137.2, 133.5 and 127.3 mAh g−1 at C/5, 1C, 5C and 10C rates, respectively. In addition, it shows excellent cycle stability at different current densities. Even after 50 cycles at the high current density of 10C, a discharge capacity of 117.7 mAh g−1 is obtained (92.4% of its initial value) with only a low capacity fading of 0.15% per cycle.  相似文献

The paper reports on the corrosion behavior of carbon steel coated with thin SiOx-like oxide films. The SiOx-like coatings were deposited by plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) and their thickness was varied between 20 and 200 nm. The coated carbon steel interfaces were investigated for their corrosion protection efficiency when immersed in an aqueous saline solution of 3% NaCl. FTIR measurements and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) experiments revealed that thin SiOx-like coating layers (20 nm thick) do not prevent the carbon steel from corrosion, while thicker silica layers (d ≥ 100 nm) protect efficiently carbon steel interfaces in highly saline media with a protection efficiency of about 96% for a 200 nm thick coating.  相似文献

LiFePO4/carbon composite cathode material was prepared using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as carbon source by pelleting and subsequent pyrolysis in N2. The samples were characterized by XRD, SEM and TGA. Their electrochemical performance was investigated in terms of charge–discharge cycling behavior. It consists of a single LiFePO4 phase and amorphous carbon. The special micro-morphology via the process is favorable for electrochemical properties. The discharge capacity of the LiFePO4/C composite was 145 mAh/g, closer to the theoretical specific capacity of 170 mAh/g at 0.1 C low current density. At 3 C modest current density, the specific capacity was about 80 mAh/g, which can satisfy for transportation applications if having a more planar discharge flat.  相似文献

In this paper, DBSA-doped polyaniline (PANI)/Na+-montmorillonite (MMT) clay nanocomposite (PCN) materials have been successfully prepared with dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid (DBSA) as emulsifier and dopant for the emulsion polymerization of aniline. The as-prepared DBSA-doped samples were subsequently characterized by FTIR spectroscopy, WAXRD patterns and TEM. It should be noted that the nanocomposite coating containing 1 wt.% of clay loading was found to exhibit an observable enhanced corrosion protection on cold-rolled steel (CRS) electrode at higher operational temperature of 50 °C, which was even better than that of uncoated and electrode-coated with PANI alone at room temperature of 30 °C based on the electrochemical parameter evaluations (e.g., Ecorr, Rp, Icorr, Rcorr and impedance). In this work, all electrochemical measurements were performed at a double-wall jacketed cell, covered with a glass plate, through which water was circulated from a thermostat to maintain a constant operational temperature of 30, 40 and 50 ± 0.5 °C. Moreover, a series of electrochemical parameters shown in Tafel, Nyquist and Bode plots were all used to evaluate PCN coatings at three different operational temperatures in 5 wt.% aqueous NaCl electrolyte. Effect of material composition on the molecular weight and optical properties of neat PANI and PCN materials, in the form of solution, were studied by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and UV-vis spectra, respectively. Finally, electrical conductivity at three different operational temperatures of PANI and PCN powder-pressed pellets doped with different inorganic acids such as HCl, HNO3 and H2SO4 was also investigated through the measurements of standard four-point-probe technique.  相似文献

Multi-wall carbon nanotubes coated with polyaniline   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
Multi-wall carbon nanotubes (CNT) were coated with protonated polyaniline (PANI) in situ during the polymerization of aniline. The content of CNT in the samples was 0-80 wt%. Uniform coating of CNT with PANI was observed with both scanning and transmission electron microscopy. An improvement in the thermal stability of the PANI in the composites was found by thermogravimetric analysis. FTIR and Raman spectra illustrate the presence of PANI in the composites; no interaction between PANI and CNT could be proved. The conductivity of PANI-coated CNT has been compared with the conductivity of the corresponding mixtures of PANI and CNT. At high CNT contents, it is not important if the PANI coating is protonated or not; the conductivity is similar in both cases, and it is determined by the CNT. Polyaniline reduces the contact resistance between the individual nanotubes. A maximum conductivity of 25.4 S cm−1 has been found with PANI-coated CNT containing 70 wt% CNT. The wettability measurements show that CNT coated with protonated PANI are hydrophilic, the water contact angle being ∼40°, even at 60 wt% CNT in the composite. The specific surface area, determined by nitrogen adsorption, ranges from 20 m2 g−1 for protonated PANI to 56 m2 g−1 for neat CNT. The pore sizes and volumes have been determined by mercury porosimetry. The density measurements indicate that the compressed PANI-coated CNT are more compact compared with compressed mixtures of PANI and CNT. The relaxation and the growth of dimensions of the samples after the release of compression have been noted.  相似文献

Manganese dioxide/multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MnO2/MWCNTs) were synthesized by chemically depositing MnO2 onto the surface of MWCNTs wrapped with poly(sodium-p-styrenesulfonate). Then, polyaniline (PANI) with good supercapacitive performance was further coated onto the MnO2/MWCNTs composite to form PANI/MnO2/MWCNTs organic-inorganic hybrid nanoarchitecture. Electrochemical performance of the hybrid in Na2SO4-H2SO4 mixed acidic electrolytes was evaluated by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and chronopotentiometry (CP) in detail. Comparative electrochemical tests revealed that the hybrid nanoarchitecture could operate in the acidic medium due to the protective modification of PANI coating layer onto the MnO2/MWCNTs composite, and that its electrochemical behavior was greatly dependent upon the concentration of protons in the acidic electrolytes. Here, PANI not only served as a physical barrier to restrain the underlying MnO2/MWCNTs composite from reductive-dissolution process so as to make the novel ternary hybrid material work in acidic medium to enhance the utilization of manganese oxide as much as possible, but also was another electroactive material for energy storage in the acidic mixed electrolytes. It was due to the existence of PNAI layer that an even larger specific capacitance (SC) of 384 F g−1 and a much better SC retention of 79.9% over 1000 continuous charge/discharge cycles than those for the MnO2/MWCNTs nanocomposite were delivered for the hybrid in the optimum 0.5 M Na2SO4-0.5 M H2SO4 mixed acidic electrolyte.  相似文献

Nitrogen-containing carbon nanotubes (CNTs) with open end and low specific surface area were prepared via the carbonization of polyaniline (PANI) nanotubes synthesized by a rapidly mixed reaction. On the basis of analyzing the morphologies and structures of the original and carbonized PANI nanotubes, the electrochemical properties of PANI-based CNTs obtained at different temperatures as electrode materials for supercapacitors using 30 wt.% aqueous solution of KOH as electrolyte were investigated by galvanostatic charge/discharge and cyclic voltammetry. It was found that the carbonized PANI nanotubes at 700 °C exhibit high specific capacitance of 163 F g−1 at a current density of 0.1 A g−1 and excellent rate capability in KOH solution. Using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurement the nitrogen state and content in PANI-CNTs were analysed, which could play important roles for the enhancement of electrochemical performance. When the appropriate content of nitrogen is present, the presence of pyrrole or pyridone and quaternary nitrogen is beneficial for the improvement of electron mobility and the wettability of electrode.  相似文献

Conducting polyaniline, zinc and epoxy resin solely have anticorrosive properties by different mechanisms on metallic substrates. In this work the triple hybrid of PANI/epoxy/Zn nanocomposite was prepared as a thin layer coating (70 ± 5 μm) on iron coupons and its anticorrosion performance was investigated in HCl (0.1 M) as corrosive solution. Epoxy resin and zinc nanoparticles were applied as additives in the PANI matrix to improve the mechanical properties of PANI coating and investigate their synergetic effects on the anticorrosion performance of PANI coating. At first PANI/Zn nanocomposite coatings with different Zn contents were prepared and the zinc content optimized so that the coating achieve the best anticorrosion performance. Accordingly the iron coupons coated by PANI/Zn coating having 4 wt% Zn content showed more noble open circuit potential and lower corrosion current values. Then epoxy resin was applied as additive to the optimized formulation of PANI/Zn coating in different weight percents (0–20 wt%) and the anticorrosion performance of the related PANI/epoxy/Zn triple hybrid nanocomposite coatings was evaluated. Results showed that the addition of epoxy resin causes to the decreasing of corrosion current of iron samples coated by PANI/epoxy/Zn nanocomposite. An optimum range of 3–7 wt% was obtained for the epoxy content in the composition of PANI/epoxy/Zn nanocomposite in which the coating exhibits the best anticorrosion performance. Iron metal coupon was elementally analyzed and the PANI/Zn and PANI/epoxy/Zn nanocomposites were characterized using Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction patterns and Scanning Electron Microscopy techniques.  相似文献

Electrochemical deposition of polyaniline (PANI) is carried out on a porous carbon substrate for supercapacitor studies. The effect of substrate is studied by comparing the results obtained using platinum, stainless steel and porous carbon substrates. PANI deposited at 100 mV s−1 sweep rate by potentiodynamic technique on porous carbon substrate is found to possess superior capacitance properties. Experimental variables, namely, concentrations of aniline monomer and H2SO4 supporting electrolyte are varied and arrived at the optimum concentrations to obtain a maximum capacitance of PANI. Low concentrations of both aniline and H2SO4, which produce PANI at low rates, are desirable. The PANI deposits prepared under these conditions possess network morphology of nanofibrils. Capacitance values as high as 1600 F g−1 are obtained and PANI coated carbon electrodes facilitate charge-discharge current densities as high as 45 mA cm−2 (19.8 A g−1). Electrodes are found to be fairly stable over a long cycle-life, although there is some capacitance loss during the initial stages of cycling.  相似文献

The surface coating strategy provide a facile and effective means of improving the electrochemical behavior of lithium-ion batteries (LiBs) since it can prevent cathodes/anodes from contacting moisture and improve the thermal stability and cyclability of LiBs. However, to date, few studies have focused on carbon coating Ni-rich cathodes due to the moisture sensitivity of cathode materials. Herein, poly (vinylidene fluoride)/n-vinyl-2-pyrrolidinone (PVDF/NMP) solution was employed as the carbon source to coat LiNi0.8Mn0.1Co0.1O2 (NMC811) spheres for the first time. The coating process mainly includes two steps under moisture-free conditions: (1) wetting NMC811 using PVDF/NMP solution and (2) heat treatment of NMC811/PVDF under inert circumstances. The thickness of the obtained carbon layer can be controlled easily by adjusting the solution concentration. A 2.5 wt% PVDF containing solution can coat a carbon layer of ~4 nm on NMC811 spheres, which significantly improved the integral Li+ storage performance. The discharge capacity of the resulting carbon-coated NMC811 showed only a 1.26% decrease after 100 cycles at a 0.2 C rate, while pristine NMC811 lost 6.85% of its initial reversible capacity. This work highlights that carbon coating offers a facile yet effective approach to achieve high-performance cathodes materials for LIBs.  相似文献

An electrochemical biosensor was constructed based on the immobilization of myoglobin (Mb) in a composite film of Nafion and hydrophobic ionic liquid 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate (BMIMPF6) for a modified carbon paste electrode (CPE). Direct electrochemistry of Mb in the Nafion-BMIMPF6/CPE was achieved, confirmed by the appearance of a pair of well-defined redox peaks. The results indicate that Nafion-BMIMPF6 composite film provided a suitable microenvironment to realize direct electron transfer between Mb and the electrode. The cathodic and anodic peak potentials were located at −0.351 V and −0.263 V (vs. SCE), with the apparent formal potential (Ep) of −0.307 V, which was characteristic of Mb Fe(III)/Fe(II) redox couples. The electrochemical behavior of Mb in the composite film was a surface-controlled quasi-reversible electrode process with one electron transfer and one proton transportation when the scan rate was smaller than 200 mV/s. Mb-modified electrode showed excellent electrocatalytic activity towards the reduction of trichloroacetic acid (TCA) in a linear concentration range from 2.0 × 10−4 mol/L to 1.1 × 10−2 mol/L and with a detection limit of 1.6 × 10−5 mol/L (3σ). The proposed method would be valuable for the construction of a third-generation biosensor with cheap reagents and a simple procedure.  相似文献

A novel carbon foam with high strength and very low thermal conductivity was prepared by thermal treating of coal tar based mesophase pitch mixed with montmorillonite clay. SEM observation showed that less micro-cracking appeared on the cell wall of foam by adding of clay-montmorillonite. Foam mechanical properties were improved and its thermal conductivity was markedly decreased. The compressive strengths were increased by 64%, 96% and 100% when the additive amounts of clay were 2%, 5% and 10% (wt%), respectively. Due to the high thermal insulation and lamellar structure of clay, the thermal conductivity of carbon foam decreases from 2 W/m K to 0.25 W/m K.  相似文献

Diazonium ion chemistry has been used to electrochemically graft aminophenyl layers onto p-type silicon (1 0 0) substrates. A condensation reaction was used to immobilise single-walled carbon nanotubes with high carboxylic acid functionality directly to this layer. Electrochemical monitoring of the aminophenyl groups confirmed the formation of an amide linkage between the single-walled carbon nanotubes and the aminophenyl layer. The carbon nanotube electrode showed high stability and good electrochemical performance in aqueous solution. At moderate scan rates the Ru(NH3)6+3/+2 couple exhibited quasi-reversible electron transfer kinetics with a standard heterogenous rate constant of 1.2 × 10−3 cm s−1 at the covalently-linked carbon nanotube surface. The electrode thus combines the advantages of a silicon substrate for easy integration into sophisticated electrical and electronic devices, carbon nanotubes for desirable electrochemical properties, and stability in aqueous medium for future applications in environmental sensing.  相似文献

Electrochemical synthesis of polyaniline (PANI) on aluminum electrode from aqueous solution of 0.25 mol dm−3 aniline and 0.2 mol dm−3 sodium benzoate has been investigated under potentiodynamic and galvanostatic conditions. Initial corrosion behavior of aluminum and PANI coated aluminum electrode exposed to 3% NaCl has been investigated using electrochemical potentiodynamic and impedance spectroscopy technique (EIS). It was shown that PANI coating initially provide corrosion protection of aluminum, decreasing the corrosion current density at least 15 times.  相似文献

Electroactive conducting polymer composite coatings of polyaniline (PANI) are electrosynthesized on styrene–butadiene rubber (SBR) coated stainless steel electrode by potentiostatic method using aqueous H2SO4 as supporting electrolyte. The protective behaviour of these coatings in different corrosion media (3.5% NaCl and 0.5 M HCl) is investigated using Tafel polarization curves, open circuit potential measurements and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The results reveal that SBR/PANI composite coating is much better in corrosion protection than simple PANI coating. The corrosion potential of composite films shifts to more noble values indicating that SBR/PANI composite coating act as an effective corrosion protective layer.  相似文献
