一种新型的波导多层存储器(WMM)由多层平面光波导叠合构成,利用波导缺陷记录数据,通过缺陷的光散射效应读出数据,并利用波导对光的空间约束作用实现层选址。制作了10层WMM模型器件,并给出了数据读出原理性实验结果。结果表明:WMM的层内信噪比大,层间信号串扰小,是一种很有潜力的三维光存储技术。 相似文献

This paper describes the characteristics of ZnMgSSe, which is a material suitable for the cladding layer of a blue-laser diode. A blue-laser diode was operated at room temperature at a wavelength of 480 nm, and the lifetime of the continuous-wave operation of the II–VI LD was over 3 min. In this paper, an optoelectronic receiver IC for CD, DVD, and Blue-Laser optical data storage applications is presented. The IC was developed in a 0.5-/spl mu/m BiCMOS technology with integrated PIN photodiodes. It includes a new architecture of high-speed and low-noise variable gain transimpedance amplifiers witch current preamplifier input. The amplifier transimpedance gain is programmable over a gain range of 130 /spl Omega/ to 270 k/spl Omega/ by a serial interface. The amplifier small-signal bandwidth is 260 MHz for the highest gain, which gives a gain-bandwidth product of 70 THz/spl Omega/ and a sensitivity improvement by a factor of 2 compared to published OEICs. The amplifiers support a special write/clip mode which realizes a nonlinear gain reduction for high input signals. The output voltage buffers are 130-/spl Omega/ impedance matched for optimized data transmission over a flex cable. The impedance is generated by active-impedance synthesis to increase the output dynamic range. 相似文献

We introduce a new approach to the quantification of myocardial strain. It utilizes the theoretical frame work of kinematics and can thus account for the large time-varying displacements present in the intact beating heart. For arbitrary small segments of myocardium, we show how these displacements can be described completely by a rotation tensor and a stretch tensor. We demonstrate the physiologic meaning of this analysis in an anesthetized dog. An epicardial region was seen to exhibit a local twist quantified by the rotation tensor and a segmental shortening quantified by the stretch tensor. 相似文献

CMOS hot-carrier reliability at both transistor and circuit levels has been examined. Accurate reliability assessment requires defining suitable criteria for acceptable performance for both circuit and individual transistors. As device designers meet demands for greater speed and more complex circuitry accompanied by shrinking the size of transistor into the deep-submicron regime, they have to contend with increase in current densities and higher electric fields. Though in general a MOSFET's driving capability increases as the channel length decreases, the resulting high field will eventually limit the driving capability of the device. The current processes by which telecommunications standards are adopted are flawed. Certain companies are able to exploit these flaws to extract hundreds of millions of dollars in patent royalties from the telecommunications industry. In particular, companies can: (1) word their patent statements to appear to comply with the bylaws of an organization while not actually doing so; (2) interpret their statements to provide a basis to refuse to offer licenses to certain parties; and (3) hide their intellectual property until after a standard has been adopted and has gained widespread acceptance.
