Worm reducers with a double enveloping toroidal surface are a new type of reducer with higher wear resistance and longer service life. A series of contact fatigue tests of worm pairs has been carried out on a microcomputer-controlled test stand of closed power flow type, using an incremental method of increasing the load. During the test, the worm tooth flank completed 2.2 × 107 cycles, and the worm gear tooth flank 1.1 × 106 cycles. Meanwhile, the state of the flank was duplicated by means of a chemical film. This paper discusses the whole process of the occurrence and development of surface cracks as well as the formation of fatigue peeling. It should provide a reliable basis for definition of the law of fatigue damage of the worm gear tooth flank. 相似文献

Some results from using vibration-based methods to detect gear tooth fatigue cracks are presented. An experimental test rig was used to fail a number of spur-gear specimens through bending fatigue. The gear tooth fatigue crack in each test was initiated through a small notch in the fillet area of a tooth on the gear. The primary purpose of these tests was to verify analytical predictions of fatigue crack propagation direction and rate as a function of gear rim thickness. The vibration signal from a total of three tests was monitored and recorded for gear fault detection research. The damage consisted of complete rim fracture on the two thin rim gears and single tooth fracture on the standard full rim test gear. Vibration-based fault detection methods were applied to the vibration signal both on-line and after the tests were completed. The objectives of this were to identify methods capable of detecting the fatigue crack, and determine how far in advance of total failure positive detection was given. Results showed that the fault detection methods failed to respond to the fatigue crack prior to complete rim fracture in the thin rim gear tests. In the standard full rim gear test all of the methods responded to the fatigue crack in advance of tooth fracture; however, only three of the methods responded to the fatigue crack in the early stages of crack propagation. 相似文献

传动齿轮强度理论认为,齿间滑动摩擦对齿轮齿根弯曲疲劳的影响可忽略不计。针对此说法,本文作者对带惰轮的起重减速齿轮传动中主动轮受国情况展开全面的分析研究,推导出包括齿间滑动摩擦力在内的,实际外载荷作用下的主动轮齿根弯曲疲劳应力计算公式。结果表明,齿间摩擦力对含惰轮的减速齿轮传动中主动轮齿根弯曲疲劳强度的影响不可忽视。 相似文献

纵观曲齿锥齿轮的发展历史可以看出:其两种主要类型一弧齿和摆线齿,是由加工机床决定的。随着机械科学与其他学科的交叉,切削刀具与被加工齿轮之间的相对位置可以通过控制系统实现相当灵活的连续变动,曲齿锥齿轮的齿线和齿形应该将具有更大的选择范围。此外,应用计算机辅助技术可以充分挖掘传统加工机床潜在的强大的机械性能,使现有的廉价生产设备转变为高效、高可靠性、操作简便灵活的先进设备。 相似文献

Based on the theories of digital conjugate surface and gear meshing, a generating method for digital gear tooth surfaces (DGTS)
is demonstrated in this paper. The research focuses on the conjugate motion between the DGTS, represented by discrete points,
and the cutter figuration determined by analytic function in the manufacture process. Conjugate points in the cutter section
corresponding to the discrete points on the digital surface and conjugate movements are solved. Automated sequence arrangements
of the generating movement parameters have been performed and the discrete generating movements are interpolated in a continuous
conjugate motion along the order. Strategies of error analysis and error compensation are also discussed in this paper. Computer-simulated
examples of the generating machining of involute DGTS and non-standard shaped DGTS, the parameters of machining motions and
real tooth surfaces verify the developed method. The research develops a new idea for the machining of DGTS, which breaks
the limitations of conventional approaches based on analytic surfaces. It is of important theoretical and practical value
to manufacture digital surfaces. Our method is not only be applicable in generating machining of discrete DGTS and analytic
gear tooth surfaces with complex geometric design, but also in contributing to the processing of discrete digital cam and
