We say that an s-subset of codewords of a code X is (s, l)-bad if X contains l other codewords such that the conjunction of these l words is covered by the disjunction of the words of the s-subset. Otherwise, an s-subset of codewords of X is said to be (s, l)-bad. A binary code X is called a disjunctive (s, l) cover-free (CF) code if X does not contain (s, l)-bad subsets. We consider a probabilistic generalization of (s, l) CF codes: we say that a binary code is an (s, l) almost cover-free (ACF) code if almost all s-subsets of its codewords are (s, l)-good. The most interesting result is the proof of a lower and an upper bound for the capacity of (s, l) ACF codes; the ratio of these bounds tends as s→∞ to the limit value log2 e/(le).  相似文献

A code with words in a finite alphabet is said to be an (s, l) separating code if for any two disjoint collections of its words of size at most s and l, respectively, there exists a coordinate in which the set of symbols of the first collection do not intersect the set of symbols of the second. The main goal of the paper is obtaining new bounds on the rate of (s, l) separating codes. Bounds on the rate of binary (s, l) separating codes, the most important for applications, are studied in more detail. We give tables of numerical values of the best presently known bounds on the rate.  相似文献

In this paper, a steganographic scheme adopting the concept of the generalized K d -distance N-dimensional pixel matching is proposed. The generalized pixel matching embeds a B-ary digit (B is a function of K and N) into a cover vector of length N, where the order-d Minkowski distance-measured embedding distortion is no larger than K. In contrast to other pixel matching-based schemes, a N-dimensional reference table is used. By choosing d, K, and N adaptively, an embedding strategy which is suitable for arbitrary relative capacity can be developed. Additionally, an optimization algorithm, namely successive iteration algorithm (SIA), is proposed to optimize the codeword assignment in the reference table. Benefited from the high dimensional embedding and the optimization algorithm, nearly maximal embedding efficiency is achieved. Compared with other content-free steganographic schemes, the proposed scheme provides better image quality and statistical security. Moreover, the proposed scheme performs comparable to state-of-the-art content-based approaches after combining with image models.  相似文献

We investigate the following problem: given a set of jobs and a set of people with preferences over the jobs, what is the optimal way of matching people to jobs? Here we consider the notion of popularity. A matching M is popular if there is no matching M′ such that more people prefer M′ to M than the other way around. Determining whether a given instance admits a popular matching and, if so, finding one, was studied by Abraham et al. (SIAM J. Comput. 37(4):1030–1045, 2007). If there is no popular matching, a reasonable substitute is a matching whose unpopularity is bounded. We consider two measures of unpopularity—unpopularity factor denoted by u(M) and unpopularity margin denoted by g(M). McCutchen recently showed that computing a matching M with the minimum value of u(M) or g(M) is NP-hard, and that if G does not admit a popular matching, then we have u(M)≥2 for all matchings M in G.Here we show that a matching M that achieves u(M)=2 can be computed in \(O(m\sqrt{n})\) time (where m is the number of edges in G and n is the number of nodes) provided a certain graph H admits a matching that matches all people. We also describe a sequence of graphs: H=H 2,H 3,…,H k such that if H k admits a matching that matches all people, then we can compute in \(O(km\sqrt{n})\) time a matching M such that u(M)≤k?1 and \(g(M)\le n(1-\frac{2}{k})\). Simulation results suggest that our algorithm finds a matching with low unpopularity in random instances.  相似文献

In this paper, we identify and solve a multi-join optimization problem for Arbitrary Feature-based social image Similarity JOINs(AFS-JOIN). Given two collections(i.e., R and S) of social images that carry both visual, spatial and textual(i.e., tag) information, the multiple joins based on arbitrary features retrieves the pairs of images that are visually, textually similar or spatially close from different users. To address this problem, in this paper, we have proposed three methods to facilitate the multi-join processing: 1) two baseline approaches(i.e., a naïve join approach and a maximal threshold(MT)-based), and 2) a Batch Similarity Join(BSJ) method. For the BSJ method, given m users’ join requests, they are first conversed and grouped into m″ clusters which correspond to m″ join boxes, where m > m″. To speedup the BSJ processing, a feature distance space is first partitioned into some cubes based on four segmentation schemes; the image pairs falling in the cubes are indexed by the cube tree index; thus BSJ processing is transformed into the searching of the image pairs falling in some affected cubes for m″ AFS-JOINs with the aid of the index. An extensive experimental evaluation using real and synthetic datasets shows that our proposed BSJ technique outperforms the state-of-the-art solutions.  相似文献

Text representation is an essential task in transforming the input from text into features that can be later used for further Text Mining and Information Retrieval tasks. The commonly used text representation model is Bags-of-Words (BOW) and the N-gram model. Nevertheless, some known issues of these models, which are inaccurate semantic representation of text and high dimensionality of word size combination, should be investigated. A pattern-based model named Frequent Adjacent Sequential Pattern (FASP) is introduced to represent the text using a set of sequence adjacent words that are frequently used across the document collection. The purpose of this study is to discover the similarity of textual pattern between documents that can be later converted to a set of rules to describe the main news event. The FASP is based on the Pattern-Growth’s divide-and-conquer strategy where the main difference between FASP and the prior technique is in the Pattern Generation phase. This approach is tested against the BOW and N-gram text representation model using Malay and English language news dataset with different term weightings in the Vector Space Model (VSM). The findings demonstrate that the FASP model has a promising performance in finding similarities between documents with the average vector size reduction of 34% against the BOW and 77% against the N-gram model using the Malay dataset. Results using the English dataset is also consistent, indicating that the FASP approach is also language independent.  相似文献

Distance automata are automata weighted over the semiring \((\mathbb {N}\cup \{\infty \},\min , +)\) (the tropical semiring). Such automata compute functions from words to \(\mathbb {N}\cup \{\infty \}\). It is known from Krob that the problems of deciding ‘ fg’ or ‘ f=g’ for f and g computed by distance automata is an undecidable problem. The main contribution of this paper is to show that an approximation of this problem is decidable. We present an algorithm which, given ε>0 and two functions f,g computed by distance automata, answers “yes” if f≤(1?ε)g, “no” if f≦?g, and may answer “yes” or “no” in all other cases. The core argument behind this quasi-decision procedure is an algorithm which is able to provide an approximated finite presentation of the closure under products of sets of matrices over the tropical semiring. Lastly, our theorem of affine domination gives better bounds on the precision of known decision procedures for cost automata, when restricted to distance automata.  相似文献

A degree-constrained graph orientation of an undirected graph G is an assignment of a direction to each edge in G such that the outdegree of every vertex in the resulting directed graph satisfies a specified lower and/or upper bound. Such graph orientations have been studied for a long time and various characterizations of their existence are known. In this paper, we consider four related optimization problems introduced in reference (Asahiro et al. LNCS 7422, 332–343 (2012)): For any fixed non-negative integer W, the problems MAX W-LIGHT, MIN W-LIGHT, MAX W-HEAVY, and MIN W-HEAVY take as input an undirected graph G and ask for an orientation of G that maximizes or minimizes the number of vertices with outdegree at most W or at least W. We prove that any balanced incomplete block design B(v, k, 1) generates a nearresolvable balanced incomplete block design NRB(v, k ? 1, k ? 2). We analyze the necessary existence conditions for (a, d)-distance antimagic labeling of a graph G = (V, E) of order n. We obtain theorems that expand the family of not (a, d) -distance antimagic graphs. In particular, we prove that the crown P n P 1 does not admit an (a, 1)-distance antimagic labeling for n ≥ 2 if a ≥ 2. We determine the values of a at which path P n can be an (a, 1)-distance antimagic graph. Among regular graphs, we investigate the case of a circulant graph.  相似文献

Resource-conscious technologies for cutting sheet material include the ICP and ECP technologies that allow for aligning fragments of the contours of cutouts. In this work, we show the mathematical model for the problem of cutting out parts with these technologies and algorithms for finding cutting tool routes that satisfy technological constraints. We give a solution for the problem of representing a cutting plan as a plane graph G = (V,F,E), which is a homeomorphic image of the cutting plan. This has let us formalize technological constraints on the trajectory of cutting the parts according to the cutting plan and propose a series of algorithms for constructing a route in the graph G = (V,F,E), which is an image of an admissible trajectory. Using known coordinates of the preimages of vertices of graph G = (V,F,E) and the locations of fragments of the cutting plan that are preimages of edges of graph G = (V,F,E), the resulting route in the graph G = (V,E) can be interpreted as the cutting tool’s trajectory.The proposed algorithms for finding routes in a connected graph G have polynomial computational complexity. To find the optimal route in an unconnected graph G, we need to solve, for every dividing face f of graph G, a travelling salesman problem on the set of faces incident to f.  相似文献

Tree patterns represent important fragments of XPath. In this paper, we show that some classes \({\mathcal{C}}\) of tree patterns exhibit such a property that, given a finite number of compatible tree patterns \({P_1, \ldots, P_n\in \mathcal{C}}\), there exists another pattern P such that P 1, . . . , P n are all contained in P, and for any tree pattern \({Q\in \mathcal{C}}\), P 1, . . . , P n are all contained in Q if and only if P is contained in Q. We experimentally demonstrate that the pattern P is usually much smaller than P 1, . . . , P n combined together. Using the existence of P above, we show that testing whether a tree pattern, P, is contained in another, \({Q\in \mathcal{C}}\), under an acyclic schema graph G, can be reduced to testing whether P G , a transformed version of P, is contained in Q without any schema graph, provided that the distinguished node of P is not labeled *. We then show that, under G, the maximal contained rewriting (MCR) of a tree pattern Q using a view V can be found by finding the MCR of Q using V G without G, when there are no *-nodes on the distinguished path of V and no *-nodes in Q.  相似文献

This paper considers a conflict situation on the plane as follows. A fast evader E has to break out the encirclement of slow pursuers P j1,...,j n = {P j1,..., P jn }, n ≥ 3, with a miss distance not smaller than r ≥ 0. First, we estimate the minimum guaranteed miss distance from E to a pursuer P a , a ∈ {j 1,..., j n }, when the former moves along a given straight line. Then the obtained results are used to calculate the guaranteed estimates to a group of two pursuers P b,c = {P b , P c }, b, c ∈ {j 1,..., j n }, bc, when E maneuvers by crossing the rectilinear segment P b P c , and the state passes to the domain of the game space where E applies a strategy under which the miss distance to any of the pursuers is not decreased. In addition, we describe an approach to the games with a group of pursuers P j1,... jn , n ≥ 3, in which E seeks to break out the encirclement by passing between two pursuers P b and P c , entering the domain of the game space where E can increase the miss distance to all pursuers by straight motion. By comparing the guaranteed miss distances with r for all alternatives b, c ∈ {j 1,..., j n }, bc, and a ? {b, c}, it is possible to choose the best alternative and also to extract the histories of the game in which the designed evasion strategies guarantee a safe break out from the encirclement.  相似文献

In this paper, we first present an O(w max? n)-time algorithm to find a weight-constrained maximum-density path in a tree T, and then present an O(w max? 2 n)-time algorithm to find a weight-constrained maximum-density subtree in T. Finally, given a node subset S?V, we also present an O(w max? 2 n)-time algorithm to find a weight-constrained maximum-density subtree in T which covers all the nodes in S.  相似文献

The (s + t + 1)-dimensional exchanged crossed cube, denoted as ECQ(s, t), combines the strong points of the exchanged hypercube and the crossed cube. It has been proven that ECQ(s, t) has more attractive properties than other variations of the fundamental hypercube in terms of fewer edges, lower cost factor and smaller diameter. In this paper, we study the embedding of paths of distinct lengths between any two different vertices in ECQ(s, t). We prove the result in ECQ(s, t): if s ≥ 3, t ≥ 3, for any two different vertices, all paths whose lengths are between \( \max \left\{9,\left\lceil \frac{s+1}{2}\right\rceil +\left\lceil \frac{t+1}{2}\right\rceil +4\right\} \) and 2 s+t+1 ? 1 can be embedded between the two vertices with dilation 1. Note that the diameter of ECQ(s, t) is \( \left\lceil \frac{s+1}{2}\right\rceil +\left\lceil \frac{t+1}{2}\right\rceil +2 \). The obtained result is optimal in the sense that the dilations of path embeddings are all 1. The result reveals the fact that ECQ(s, t) preserves the path embedding capability to a large extent, while it only has about one half edges of CQ n .  相似文献

This paper introduces α-systems of differential inclusions on a bounded time interval [t0, ?] and defines α-weakly invariant sets in [t0, ?] × ?n, where ?n is a phase space of the differential inclusions. We study the problems connected with bringing the motions (trajectories) of the differential inclusions from an α-system to a given compact set M ? ?n at the moment ? (the approach problems). The issues of extracting the solvability set W ? [t0, ?] × ?n in the problem of bringing the motions of an α-system to M and the issues of calculating the maximal α-weakly invariant set Wc ? [t0, ?] × ?n are also discussed. The notion of the quasi-Hamiltonian of an α-system (α-Hamiltonian) is proposed, which seems important for the problems of bringing the motions of the α-system to M.  相似文献
