A basic wideband tunable filter design based on combline topology is presented. At the presence of the parasitic effects, the structure of the filter must be modified by introducing additional degrees of freedom to the geometry of the coupled line segment. A design procedure involving iterative steps will be described. This procedure is used to design two bandpass filters with more than one octave tuning range in the UHF band. The experimental results are presented for the filter prototypes implemented using printed circuit boards and PIN diodes.  相似文献

非均匀采样可以突破采样定理的限制,但非均匀采样信号的频谱在所有频率段均存在混叠频谱噪声,这些频谱噪声会淹没真实信号中的一些频谱幅度较小的信号,使得非均匀采样无法检测小信号。本文提出一种非均匀周期采样方法,该方法既具有非均匀采样抗混叠的特性,又具有均匀采样的消除混叠频谱噪声的特点。文中详细分析了非均匀采样产生混叠频谱噪声的原因,提出了基于非均匀周期采样的傅里叶变换方法,并给出了实验结果。理论和实验表明,非均匀周期采样方法是一种行之有效的采样方法。  相似文献

该文提出两种铁氧体-硅双层基片的微带线结构,并通过对麦克斯韦方程的坐标旋转和傅里叶变换导出波导纳,用谱域导抗法进行特性分析。尤其是对微带线的色散特性进行了计算,讨论了微带线各种参数对色散特性的影响,并对它们的特性进行了对比,发现其中一种结构的色散受各因素的影响很小,尤其是介质的工艺尺度,可用于更高集成电路的制造中。  相似文献

This paper presents a hybrid-mode solution for the characteristic impedance of microstrip on Iossless dielectric substrate. A solution to the hybrid-mode equations is obtained by applying the method of moments in the Fourier transform domain. Numerical results are presented showing the frequency dependence of both wavelength and characteristic impedance for single and coupled strips. These results are compared with those of other investigators in the low-frequency range.  相似文献

The boundary value problem associated with the open microstrip line structure is formulated in terms of a rigorous, hybird-mode representation. The resulting equations are subsequently transformed, via the application of Galerkin's method in the spectral domain, to yield a characteristic equation for the dispersion properties of the open microstrip line. Numerical results are included for several different structural parameters. These are compared with other available data and with some experimental measurements.  相似文献

The transmission-line equations describing propagation along coupled transmission lines are cast in coupled-mode form so that the roles of the different coupling coefficients and the impedance variation are more directly observable. Restrictions on the various parameters for obtaining directional coupling with nonuniform lines are then discussed and exact solutions for the coupling response of two nonuniform coupled lines with particular variations of the coupling coefficients are presented. The results obtained from the exact closed-form solutions should aid in the design of tapered couplers.  相似文献

In this paper equations for the transmission parameters of a periodically loaded line are derived in closed form with no restriction on the size, type or number of discontinuities. The equations also take into consideration any attenuation that may exist on the line. Several plots of the input reflection coefficient are presented and compared with experimental results. A new method of analysis of microstrip transmission lines using corner functions (eigenfunctions) is presented. Assuming the TEM mode propagation for the shielded microstrip line structure, solutions are set up in a series of corner functions, which isolates the singularity at the edge of the strip. The boundary conditions are satisfied by using a method of successive integration of boundary errors. Numerical results are obtained for the charge distribution from which the microstrip line characteristic impedance is determined. Excellent agreement with published theoretical results and experimental data is obtained. The numerical results clearly bring out the power of the method.  相似文献

Although microstrip transmission lines have been widely used in microwave integrated circuits, the discontinuity structures in the microstrip transmission lines such as a gap, an abruptly ended strip conductor, and so on, have hardly been analyzed. An analytical method and numerical results for a gap capacitance in the microstrip transmission line are described. The equivalent circuit parameters are formulated with three-dimensional Green's functions, based on a variational principle. The numerical results are in good agreement with the published experimental data. The fringing effect of an abruptly ended strip conductor is also investigated.  相似文献

This article summarizes state-of-the-art information on losses of single and coupled microstrip lines. Conductor loss, substrate loss (for pure dielectric or magnetic materials), and radiation loss are considered along with the effect of dispersion. This paper reports a method for computing the line capacitance of a microstrip line based on the application of Fourier transform and variational techniques. The characteristic impedance, guide wavelength, and the surface potential distribution in the microstrip line are obtained for a range of structure parameters and the dielectric constant. The results calculated from the expressions developed in the paper are compared with the theoretical results presently available in the literature and good agreement is found. Comparison with available experimental results is also made where feasible. Possible applications and limitations of the method are discussed.  相似文献

A theoretical analysis is presented of microwave propagation on microstrip, with particular reference to the case of coupled pairs of microstrip lines. Data on this type of transmission line are needed for the design of directional couplers, filters, and other components in microwave integrated circuits. The inhomogeneous medium, consisting of the dielectric substrate and the vacuum above it, is treated in a rigorous manner through the use of a "dielectric Green's function" which expresses the discontinuity of the fields at the dielectric-vacuum interface. Results are presented in graphical form for substrate dielectric constants of 1, 9, and 16, and a range of values of width and spacing of the strips. Numerical tables for these and other cases are also available. The tables present capacitance, characteristic impedance, and velocity of propagation of the even and odd normal modes. The method lends itself to the treatment of other geometries which are of practical interest, such as "thick" strips, presence of an unsymmetrically located upper ground plane, etc.  相似文献

The rigorous analytical solutions and the ABCD matrix of the lossy Cosine-Squared tapered nonuniform transmission lines (CSTNTL) are presented in this paper. According to different boundary conditions, the unique solution is obtained mathematically. Through the numerical calculations based on analytical solutions, the distributed voltages and currents in different terminated cases are shown to explain the transmission characteristics of CSTNTL. Especially in the lossy case the distributed power values are simulated to show the attenuation phenomenon.  相似文献

This paper presents a novel time-domain integration method for transient analysis of nonuniform multiconductor transmission lines (MTLs). It can solve the time response of various kinds of transmission lines with arbitrary coupling status. The spatial discretization in this method is the same as the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) algorithm. However, in order to eliminate the Courant-Friedrich-Levy condition constraint, a precise time-step integration method is utilized in time-domain calculation. It gives an analytical solution in the time domain for the spatial discretized Telegrapher's equations with linear boundary conditions. Large time steps can be adopted in the integration process to achieve accurate results efficiently. In the analysis of transmission lines with frequency-dependent parameters, a passive equivalent model is introduced, which leads to the similar semidiscrete model as that for the frequency-independent case. In addition, a rigorous proof of the passivity of the model is provided. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the accuracy and stability of the proposed method.  相似文献

A rigorous hybrid mode analysis is applied to microstrip lines on anisotropic substrates to determine its high-frequency performance. The analysis is based on a general formulation of the problem of planar transmission lines on multilayered substrates with uniaxial anisotropy, of which the microstrip line is a special case. Exact solution is obtained using a functional equation technique which was previously developed and applied to microstrip and bilateral finlines. The results were used to check the validity of the concept of equivalent isotropic substrate, suggested by some authors to simplify the calculation of the parameters of these lines. Certain approximations are introduced to allow the efficient calculation of the characteristics of microstrips on anisotropic substrates at relatively high frequencies or for wide strips. Numerical results are given for some values of the parameters of microstrip lines on sapphire and include the regions of excitation of higher modes.  相似文献

This paper presents a new algorithm for simulating electromagnetic (EM) field coupling with nonuniform multiconductor transmission lines in a circuit simulation environment. The proposed algorithm is based on the concept of passive model-order reduction, whereby an algorithmically developed passive reduced-order model, coupled with a set of equivalent sources representing the incident filed, are shown to accurately capture the behavior of the transmission line under EM excitation. The reduced-order model is developed independently from the particular shape of the incident field pulse, in the sense that, in constructing the model, one does not need prior knowledge about the waveform of the incident pulse of the EM field. In addition, it is also shown that the model developed can be used to simulate the transmission line in the absence of the EM field. The derived equivalent sources, representing the field coupling, are given directly in the time domain, thereby making simulation under nonlinear circuit terminations an easy task. Although the proposed work is aimed mainly at simulating nonuniform transmission lines, it can be applied to uniform lines as a special case. The proposed algorithm has been validated numerically with several examples.  相似文献
