以高速和“一直在线”为特征的宽带标志着互联网技术的发展进入一个崭新的阶段。宽带服务提供商的业务重点正经历着由提供宽带连接、提高市场份额和改进网络可用性到增加利润和提高运营效率的重要转折。为了抓住由宽带服务带来的发展机遇,宽带运营商应及早从传统的包月制计费模式的羁绊中解脱出来,根据用户的消费需求及网络技术特征对现有的计费模式进行创新。研究表明,按使用量计费和按服务价值计费的模式可为宽带运营商带来新的客户并创造新的利润空间。  相似文献

先进的计费系统是提供优质服务的重要保证。采用适当的价格机制建立网络管理平台,引导用户行为,既能吸引更多用户使用网络,又能限制用户对网络资源的浪费和恶意使用,提高网络资源的利用率。在基于服务质量(QoS)的非线性计费策略中,网络资源的价格不是以单位资源统一定价,而是针对不同的业务类型,对单位资源采用不同的计费方案。文章分析了基于QoS计费策略的服务模型、计费原则以及实现该计费策略的参考模式。  相似文献

In order to balance the energy conservation and the service quality for anonymous users,a novel sleep-mode based architecture with the free cloud service and the registration cloud service was proposed.Regarding the free cloud service as the first service,the registration cloud service as the second service and the sleep sate as the vacation,a partial asynchronous multiple vacation queueing model with a second optional service was built.Applying the method of a matrix-geometric solution,the steady-state distribution of the queueing model was derived,and then the energy saving rate of system as well as the average response time of anonymous users were estimated.By considering the benefits from accessing the cloud service and the time cost on waiting for the cloud service,benefit functions were constructed.Numerical results were carried out to reveal the relationship between Nash equilibrium arrival rate and social optimal arrival rate of anonymous users.The proposed cloud architecture provides a theoretical basis for social optimization.  相似文献

It is anticipated that the satellite component of the future universal mobile telecommunications system (UMTS) will be based (partly or totally) on non-geostationary (nonGEO) constellations of satellites to serve mixed populations of users, each category being treated through different contracts stipulating different quality of service (QoS). In particular, we envisage a high-quality premium service which guarantees the success of each handover procedure, called guaranteed handover (GH) service, and a low-cost lower quality service called regular service, where handover failures are accepted provided that the probability of a call being unsuccessful does not exceed a given value. This paper proposes a strategy which eliminates forced call terminations due to handover failures, thus allowing the GH service. This procedure applies to low Earth orbit (LEO) constellations using the satellite-fixed cell technique. An analytical model has been derived to calculate QoS parameters for a mixed population of GH and regular users. Providing both GH service to some users and regular service to other users requires an increased satellite capacity with respect to the case where all the users are served with the regular service; this capacity increase has been evaluated as a function of the percentage of GH users, the traffic load per cell, and the considered satellite mobility environment. The principal problem faced by networks with mobile users is how to ensure that the service provider functions keep pace with the continually changing network state resulting from user mobility, without consuming large amounts of network resources in the process. Regardless of whether the users are mobile or stationary, all telecommunications networks must perform basic service provider functions such as controlling access to services, locating users, routing traffic, and accounting and billing for service use. However, in the presence of mobile users, all of these functions must be performed much more often and much more rapidly. Developing low-overhead high-performance service provider solutions has been and will continue to be a key area of research in mobile communications. 随着网络中具有相同功能、不同QoS服务的增多,在用户请求服务时,为了确保能找到满足用户功能与质量要求的服务,并对找到的可用候选服务集按一定的策略进行选优,提出了一种多策略QoS感知的服务选择与排序模型。在该模型中,综合考虑服务的性能与运营维护成本等属性,提出了一个扩展的服务QoS模型,在此基础上引入用户、运营商对服务满意度的计算方法,通过改变用户满意度与运营商满意度在排序选优过程中所占的不同比重,灵活设置服务选优策略,有效的解决了服务排序选优问题。搭建了服务选择与排序原型系统,并通过应用实例对上述模型进行了验证。  相似文献

Mobile phones are among the most popular consumer devices, and the recent developments of 3G networks and smart phones enable users to watch video programs by subscribing data plans from service providers. Due to the ubiquity of mobile phones and phone-to-phone communication technologies, data-plan subscribers can redistribute the video content to nonsubscribers. Such a redistribution mechanism is a potential competitor for the mobile service provider and is very difficult to trace given users' high mobility. The service provider has to set a reasonable price for the data plan to prevent such unauthorized redistribution behavior to protect or maximize his/her own profit. In this paper, we analyze the optimal price setting for the service provider by investigating the equilibrium between the subscribers and the secondary buyers in the content-redistribution network. We model the behavior between the subscribers and the secondary buyers as a noncooperative game and find the optimal price and quantity for both groups of users. Based on the behavior of users in the redistribution network, we investigate the evolutionarily stable ratio of mobile users who decide to subscribe to the data plan. Such an analysis can help the service provider preserve his/her profit under the threat of the redistribution networks and can improve the quality of service for end users.  相似文献

Although extensive research has been carried out on the issue of how to optimally select relays in wireless relay networks, relay selection for mobile users is still a challenging problem because of the requirement that the dynamic selection should adapt to user mobility. Moreover, because the selected relays consume their energy on relaying data for the users, it is required that the users have to pay for this relay service. The price of selecting relays will affect the users' decisions. Assuming that different relays can belong to different service providers, we consider the situation that the service providers can strategically set the prices of their relays to maximize their profits. In this paper, we jointly study the dynamic relay selection for mobile users and profit maximization for service providers. Also, we design a Stackelberg‐game hierarchical framework to obtain the solution. At the lower level, we investigate the relay selection problem for the mobile users under given prices of selecting the relays. It is formulated as a Markov decision process problem with the objective to minimize the mobile user's long‐term average cost (which consists of the payment to the relay service and the cost due to packet loss), and solved by applying the linear programming technique. At the upper level, we study the game of setting relay prices for the service providers, with the knowledge that the mobile users will make relay selections based on their given prices. Nash equilibrium is obtained as the solution. Our results can help to provide a guidance for service providers to compete for providing relay services. Mobility offers a great deal of advantages. However, mobile users are currently restricted by the network coverage of providers, their access network technologies and the networking capabilities of mobile devices. Moreover, mobile users have to be involved in time consuming and inflexible manual interactions with internet access service providers in order to sign long term contracts. In this paper, a novel framework, which liberates mobile users from predefined, long-term contracts, is presented. This framework enables mobile users to dynamically acquire any kind of Internet Service, irrespectively of their location and the mobile device used. This is based on the automation of the service acquisition process and the collaboration of providers that is required to satisfy end-users’ requests. The flexible communication and negotiation framework that was defined enables automated negotiations between all parties and can be used as basis towards automated service acquisition for mobile users in future internet.  相似文献

We consider the problem of spectrum trading with multiple licensed users (i.e., primary users) selling spectrum opportunities to multiple unlicensed users (i.e., secondary users). The secondary users can adapt the spectrum buying behavior (i.e., evolve) by observing the variations in price and quality of spectrum offered by the different primary users or primary service providers. The primary users or primary service providers can adjust their behavior in selling the spectrum opportunities to secondary users to achieve the highest utility. In this paper, we model the evolution and the dynamic behavior of secondary users using the theory of evolutionary game. An algorithm for the implementation of the evolution process of a secondary user is also presented. To model the competition among the primary users, a noncooperative game is formulated where the Nash equilibrium is considered as the solution (in terms of size of offered spectrum to the secondary users and spectrum price). For a primary user, an iterative algorithm for strategy adaptation to achieve the solution is presented. The proposed game-theoretic framework for modeling the interactions among multiple primary users (or service providers) and multiple secondary users is used to investigate network dynamics under different system parameter settings and under system perturbation.  相似文献
