全球第一个物联网总体性标准制定完成

The draft standard Y.Io T-Overview (Overview on Internet of Things) was passed officially at the meeting of Study Group 13 of ITU-T,with the number Y.2060,on June 15,2012.This standard is the first general standard for internet of things in the world and a milestone in the development of the Internet of Things (IoT). The standard was initiated by China Academy of Telecommunication Research of MIIT (CATR),and jointly developed by CHINA UNICOM,CHINA TELECOM,Nanjing University of Post and Telecommunication,CHINA DATANG Corporation,and enterprises,institutes and standardization organizations of Europe,Korea,U.S.,Canada,Russia,Australia,Kenya,India and other countries on the consensus.The standard covers the definition,terminologies,technologies,reference model,business model,etc.of the Internet of Things.

正What is the story so far?Developing standards is not a new activit y.Standards-setting organizations such as BSI and the US-based standards developer ASTM are well over 100years old.Indeed some standards for measurement can be traced back thousands of years.But the very nature of standards development has changed fundamentally in recent times with new technologies,new processes,new structures and new aims leading to major changes in the landscape of global standards.
