Abstract Super-hydrophobic polymer/ZnO nano-composite coatings were fabricated by a simple spray-coating method. When the prepared super-hydrophobic coating was directly illuminated by UV light, the surface was fully covered with the hydrophilic groups, which created a state of super-hydrophilic wettability. When UV light illuminated the surface through a mask, the surface maintained its super-hydrophobic property, but the adhesion of a water droplet changed from sliding easily to a highly sticky movement. More importantly, the initial surface wettability and water adhesion can be re-established by heat treatment, and these processes were repeated, with full reproducibility, for a number of cycles. 相似文献

The coalescence of binary water droplets in oil exposed to an external electric field is simulated using a model including both electrostatic and hydrodynamic sections. Available mathematical models for electric dipole‐dipole force are presented in the first part of the model. Volume of Fluid approach is applied in the second part of the model. The simulation results were in good agreement with the published experimental observations. The results indicated that an improvement in electrocoalescence speed could be achieved. It was also revealed that the skew angle of the electric field, the oil viscosity, and the initial drops distance influence the electrocoalescence. Moreover, a correlation was developed to predict electrocoalescence kinetic as a function of the participant parameters. 相似文献

采用自由基溶液聚合法与共混法制备Ti O2/含氟树脂(FA)超疏水涂层。分别以甲基丙烯酸丁酯(BA)和苯乙烯(ST)为软硬单体,甲基丙烯酸十二氟庚酯(DFMA)为低表面能单体,丙烯酸(AA)为功能单体,甲苯(MB)为溶剂,通过自由基溶液聚合法制备含氟树脂(FA)。将无机纳米TiO2粒子均匀分散于含氟树脂中,然后以提拉法涂覆于基质表面即得TiO2/含氟树脂复合涂层。用接触角仪、紫外可见光光度计、红外光谱、扫描电镜、综合热分析对涂层进行了测试表征。实验结果表明:当DFMA含量为15%,含氟树脂涂层与水的接触角为105°,涂层在310℃以下可基本保持稳定结构。当TiO2(60nm)粒子的掺杂质量分数为15%时,所制备复合涂层的疏水角为151°,透过率可达65-75%。 相似文献

Sliding droplets are crucial in many industrial applications. Examples are coating and separation processes involving multiple phases and liquid films. Often one can observe how a sliding droplet halts midstream on a solid surface. Wetting defects such as topographic structures can lead to a pinning of sliding droplets. In order to assess the influence of liquid density and surface tension on the pinning, direct numerical simulations are performed. After the model and its discretization are introduced, the solution is validated. Simulation results of gravity‐driven droplets on inclined surfaces with structures in the size of the droplets are presented and the observed requirements for pinning a sliding droplet to a surface are discussed. 相似文献

基于场协同机制,对强化含有不凝气体的蒸汽冷凝过程的速度场与浓度梯度场协同作用进行了理论分析,提出利用冷凝液动态行为所产生的气液界面效应来强化混合蒸汽冷凝传热特性新思路.为进一步验证界面效应对气相传质扩散过程的影响,在不凝气摩尔含量为10%以内的混合蒸汽层流流动条件下,对冷凝液沿冷凝表面流动的常规膜状冷凝和冷凝液以液滴滴落方式定向脱离表面的两种排液方式下的膜状冷凝、冷凝液脉动的锯齿形滴膜共存冷凝和完全滴状冷凝四种模式下的冷凝传热特性进行了对比实验,比较分析了冷凝液运动行为影响传热特性的实质.实验结果表明,在不需要增加能耗的情况下,利用重力作用下冷凝液的运动行为产生的剪切作用和附加速度场,对气相边界层内的扩散传质过程能够产生协同作用,可以达到传热传质的无源强化效果. 相似文献

The coalescence of emulsified bitumen droplets is examined, from the perspective of material surface properties, at temperatures of 22°C and 40°C over exposure periods of up to 8 h. The study was undertaken to better understand the nature of oil sands ore conditioning in the water‐based bitumen extraction processes of Syncrude Canada Ltd. Measurements of the bitumen droplet electrophoretic mobility showed only a slight degree of variation with temperature. The mechanical stress‐strain behaviour of the droplets was investigated using a micropipette‐based technique. These results indicate that the interfacial dilational elasticity of bitumen droplets depends on temperature and droplet age, while the tension is relatively invariant to duration of exposure. Interaction experiments between emulsified bitumen droplets quantify a coalescence probability that correlates with dilational elasticity at their surfaces. 相似文献
