Nanolattice structure fabricated by two‐photon lithography (TPL) is a coupling of size‐dependent mechanical properties at micro/nano‐scale with structural geometry responses in wide applications of scalable micro/nano‐manufacturing. In this work, three‐dimensional (3D) polymeric nanolattices are initially fabricated using TPL, then conformably coated with an 80 nm thick high‐entropy alloy (HEA) thin film (CoCrFeNiAl0.3) via physical vapor deposition (PVD). 3D atomic‐probe tomography (APT) reveals the homogeneous element distribution in the synthesized HEA film deposited on the substrate. Mechanical properties of the obtained composite architectures are investigated via in situ scanning electron microscope (SEM) compression test, as well as finite element method (FEM) at the relevant length scales. The presented HEA‐coated nanolattice encouragingly not only exhibits superior compressive specific strength of ≈0.032 MPa kg?1 m3 with density well below 1000 kg m?3, but also shows good compression ductility due to its composite nature. This concept of combining HEA with polymer lattice structures demonstrates the potential of fabricating novel architected metamaterials with tunable mechanical properties.

Microstructure and mechanical properties of friction welded γ‐TiAl based alloy Ti‐47Al‐3.5(Mn+Cr+Nb)‐0.8(B+Si) in investment cast condition. This paper describes properties of joints produced by friction welding of the intermetallic γ‐TiAl based alloy Ti‐47Al‐3.5(Mn+Cr+Nb)‐0.8(B+Si) in investment cast and hot‐isostatically pressed condition. The effect of friction welding parameters on microstructure and local properties are examined and discussed. It is found that the properties of the joint are essentially affected by properties of as‐cast Ti‐47Al‐3.5(Mn+Cr+Nb)‐0.8(B+Si) base material, both at room temperature and 700 °C.  相似文献

The inherently low resolution of inkjet printing on unpatterned surfaces can be overcome by selective surface modification of a first printed pattern, resulting in hydrophobic repulsion of subsequently deposited aqueous polymer dispersions. This technique, reported by Sirringhaus and co‐workers on p. 997, is capable of achieving sub‐100 nm resolution without any lithographic step. An overview of the electrochemistry of poly(3,4‐alkylenedioxythiophene)s (PXDOTs) is presented. As a class of conducting and electroactive polymers that can exhibit high and quite stable conductivities, a high degree of optical transparency as a conductor, and the ability to be rapidly switched between conducting doped and insulating neutral states, PXDOTs have attracted attention across academia and industry. Numerous fundamental aspects are addressed here in detail, ranging from the electrochemical synthesis of PXDOTs, a variety of in‐situ characterization techniques, the broad array of properties accessible, and morphological aspects. Finally, two electrochemically‐driven applications, specifically electrochromism and chemical sensors of PXDOTs are discussed.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a study on a singular‐value decomposition (SVD)‐based generalized finite difference (GFD) method and a nodal selection scheme for moving body/boundary flow problems formulated on a hybrid Cartesian cum meshfree grid system. The present study shows that the SVD‐based method is more robust and accurate than the conventional least‐squares‐based GFD scheme. A nodal selection scheme is also introduced to overcome the problem of numerical instability associated with the clustering of computational nodes. Such nodal clustering occurs dynamically when moving bodies or boundaries approach within close proximity of each other, resulting in the overlap of their meshfree grids. The nodal scheme is applied to close‐interaction flow problems as exemplified by the squeezing action of a circular cylinder through a very narrow slot and the close proximity bypass interaction of two oscillating circular cylinders.
