IEEE International Workshop on Design For Manufacturing & Yield, Gary Smith (Gary Smith EDA)--On 26 October, the first Workshop on Design for Manufacturing & Yield (DFM&Y) was held in conjunction with the International Test Conference. In addition to regular and invited papers, the workshop included a very interesting panel session. This panel explored DFM, DFY, and RET, both in terms of technology and as an emerging market. 2. Electronics Design Industry in the Middle East, Hazem El Tahawy (Mentor Graphics Egypt)--This panel took place on 19 November 2006 at the International Design and Test Workshop (IDT 2006) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The purpose was to explore the problems facing the electronics design industry in the Middle East and to make some recommendations in light of the experiences of newly industrialized countries from Northeast and Southeast Asia, as well as India. The main factors affecting the promotion of the electronics design industry in this region include motivating foreign direct investment, encouraging R&D, improving marketing, enhancing training and human development, and harnessing the finances needed to encourage capital-intensive industries.  相似文献

"IEEE 1500: Embedded core-based test standard—Why should I adopt it?" The IEEE standards committee has now developed a new standard, IEEE 1500, which defines an isolation mechanism for IPs (cores) whereby an IEEE 1500 wrapper can isolate cores for test and debug on a SoC. A panel session at the 23rd IEEE VLSI Test Symposium debated how and why the industry should adopt this new standard. The 11th IEEE International On-Line Testing Symposium (IOLTS 05) held a special panel session on the topic, "Online Testing for Secure Implementations: Design and Validation." The panelists discussed how online testing techniques can improve security and how to evaluate, at different stages in the design flow, the achieved level of security. The panelists raised such issues as fault-based and side-channel attacks, the need for secure and efficient DFT methodologies, and the need to better evaluate a given implementation's level of robustness.  相似文献

Real-time free-form deformation tools are primarily based on surface or particle representations to allow for interactive modification and fast rendering of complex models. The efficient handling of volumetric representations, however, is still a challenge and has not yet been addressed sufficiently. Volumetric models, on the other hand, form an important class of representation in many applications. In this paper we present a novel approach to the real-time deformation of scalar volume data sets taking advantage of hardware supported 3D texture mapping. In a prototype implementation a modeling environment has been designed that allows for interactive manipulation of arbitrary parts of volumetric objects. In this way, any desired shape can be modeled and used subsequently in various applications. The underlying algorithms have wide applicability and can be exploited effectively for volume morphing and medical data processing.  相似文献

超大型天文观测技术的出现不仅能够让研究人员观测到新的天文现象,更能用于验证已有物理模型的正确性.这些最新天文成果的发现是建立在海量天文数据的近乎实时产生、管理与分析的基础上,因此给目前的数据管理系统带来了新的挑战.以我国自主研发的地基广角相机阵(the ground-based wide-angle camera array, GWAC)天文望远镜为例,15s的采样和处理周期都处于短时标观测领域的世界前列,但却对数据管理系统提出了很多问题,包括多镜头并行输出数据管理、实时瞬变源发现、当前观测夜数据的秒级查询、数据持久化和快速离线查询等.基于上述问题,设计了分布式GWAC数据模拟生成器用于模拟真实GWAC数据产生场景,并基于产生的数据特性,提出一种两级缓存架构,使用本地内存解决多镜头并行输出、实时瞬变源发现,使用分布式共享内存实现秒级查询.为了平衡持久化和查询效率,设计一种星表簇结构将整个星表数据划分后聚集存储.根据天文需求特点,设计基于索引表的查询引擎能从缓存和星表簇以较小的代价对星表数据查询.通过实验验证,当前方案能够满足GWAC的需求.  相似文献

针对传统图形绘制算法速度慢,质量不高的缺点,提出了一种快速的基于光线投射法的体切割预处理方法。通过外接球面和进行分段的光线投射预处理,在保证绘制质量的同时,实现了实时体切割。实验结果表明,本方法对于医学可视化应用,在使用规则体数据时,有令人满意的结果。  相似文献

互动式网络场景再现是一种重要的真实网络流量产生方法.然而,由于流量产生过程的复杂性,基于精确的数学模型对该过程产生流速进行控制是一个较为困难的新问题.文中设计实现了一个面向互动式网络场景再现的流速控制系统,并将网络场景再现过程中的流速控制问题转化为目标跟踪控制问题进行求解.该系统采用一种基于函数近似器的流速控制方法,利用函数近似器对系统的输入输出关系进行描述,通过动态调整系统输入流量来对回放过程输出流量进行跟踪.最后,利用真实网络流量实验考察了文中系统和方法在不同丢包、传输延迟以及会话阻断环境下的实际控制效果,并从收敛时间、产生输入输出、控制误差等角度对系统的控制性能进行了分析.  相似文献

摘 要:基于物理的流体仿真可以真实地捕捉水的运动,一种常用的实时模拟方法是基于 二维浅水方程进行水体仿真。首先介绍了二维浅水方程,并提出一种新的求解方法,通过一种 体积守恒的隐式半拉格朗日方法进行计算,在保持稳定的同时允许较大的时间步长,然后额外 增加修正步以保证计算过程中体积守恒。此外提出了一种基于动量守恒的流固耦合方法,可以 实时地模拟出较为真实的水体,并且保证了水体体积始终守恒,效果良好。  相似文献

Flexible Real-Time Linux*: A Flexible Hard Real-Time Environment   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
This paper presents a framework appropriate for Flexible Real-Time Systems (FRTS) and a run-time support system based on that framework, called Flexible Real-Time Linux (FRTL). The framework proposes to build each task as a sequence of mandatory and optional components and to separate their execution in two scheduling levels. This approach is shown to provide both hard guarantees and flexible behavior. The FRTL system has been implemented by enhancing the original capabilities of Real-Time Linux (RT-Linux), while maintaining its predictability and efficiency features. This paper also shows a complete schedulability test on which all sources of overhead of the FRTL itself have been introduced. By applying this complete test, the designer is able to safely guarantee a real-time application running on the FRTL system.  相似文献

When analyzing thousands of event histories, analysts often want to see the events as an aggregate to detect insights and generate new hypotheses about the data. An analysis tool must emphasize both the prevalence and the temporal ordering of these events. Additionally, the analysis tool must also support flexible comparisons to allow analysts to gather visual evidence. In a previous work, we introduced align, rank, and filter (ARF) to accentuate temporal ordering. In this paper, we present temporal summaries, an interactive visualization technique that highlights the prevalence of event occurrences. Temporal summaries dynamically aggregate events in multiple granularities (year, month, week, day, hour, etc.) for the purpose of spotting trends over time and comparing several groups of records. They provide affordances for analysts to perform temporal range filters. We demonstrate the applicability of this approach in two extensive case studies with analysts who applied temporal summaries to search, filter, and look for patterns in electronic health records and academic records.  相似文献

MATLAB通过组件Simulink提供了一个动态系统建模、仿真和综合分析的集成环境,可以在控制领域中建模并运行仿真,却缺少实时仿真支持.MATLAB工具Real-Time Workshop可以从图形模型生成ANSI C源代码,下载此代码在实时操作系统中运行可以实现实时仿真,但是目前市场上的实时操作系统在开发工具、用户界面等方面存在诸多不足.RTX扩展Windows在提供实时性的同时又可以利用Windows丰富系统资源.利用Real-Time Workshop产生C代码,把要求实时性的代码分离出来放在RTX实时子环境下运行,可以实现实时仿真.实验验证了此方法有较好的实时性.  相似文献

实时CORBA的推出,将CORBA的应用范围扩展到实时领域.介绍了一个实时CORBA的原型rtORB,着重描述了rtORB结构上的几个重要部分:平台依赖层,动态调度服务,显式绑定和实时对象适配器.同时,在rtORB的实现过程中,采用了多种优化手段,合理地处理了性能优化问题.实验表明,该rtORB可以支持实时应用。  相似文献
