Lead‐free piezoceramics with the composition (1?x)(K1?yNay)NbO3‐x(Bi1/2Na1/2)ZrO3 (KNyN‐xBNZ) were prepared using a conventional solid‐state route. X‐ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, and dielectric measurements as a function of temperature indicated the coexistence of rhombohedral (R) and tetragonal (T) phase, typical of a morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) as the BNZ concentration increased and by adjusting the K/Na ratio. High remnant polarization (Pr=24 μC/cm2), piezoelectric coefficient (d33=320 pC/N), effective piezocoefficient ({d_{33}^*}=420 pm/V), coupling coefficient (kp=48%), and high strain (S=0.168%) were obtained at room temperature, but significant deterioration of Pr, {d_{33}^*}, and kp were observed by increasing from room temperature to 160°C (17.5 μC/cm2, 338 pm/V, and 32%, respectively) associated with a transition to a purely T phase. Despite these compositions showing promise for room‐temperature applications, the deterioration in properties as a function of increasing temperature poses challenges for device design and remains to be resolved.  相似文献

Perovskite solid solution ceramics of (1 ? x)BiFeO3xBaTiO3 (1 ? x)BF–xBT, 0.2 ≤ x ≤ 0.45) with high electrical resistivity were prepared by solid‐state reaction method. Actual ferroelectric hysteresis loops and temperature dependence of dielectric constant of the ceramics were obtained. Ceramics of 0.7BF–0.3BT with small rhombohedral distortion show highest remnant polarization (Pr = 26.0 μC/cm2) and piezoelectric coefficient (d33 = 134 pC/N). Compositions with pseudo‐cubic symmetry (intermediate phases) show relaxor‐like dielectric anomaly. The values of Pr and d33 decrease with increasing BT content, from 24.8 μC/cm2 and 104 pC/N for 0.65BF–0.35BT to 8.2 μC/cm2 and 5 pC/N for 0.55BF–0.45BT.  相似文献

(Bi0.5Na0.5)TiO3–BiAlO3 lead‐free materials exhibit excellent ferroelectric properties, but its depolarization temperature is relatively low which is the major obstacle limiting the material's practical application. In this study, the effects of Manganese (Mn) modification on the microstructure, ferroelectric properties and depolarization behavior of 0.96(Bi0.5Na0.5)(Ti1?xMnx)O3–0.04BiAlO3 ceramics were investigated. It was found that the average grain size was enlarged and ferroelectric properties were enhanced with small Mn addition, meanwhile the tangent loss decreased. The remnant polarization (Pr) of the samples reached an optimal value (~41 μC/cm2) as Mn content increased up to 0.7 mol%, whereas further addition resulted in the decrease in Pr. Moreover, appropriate Mn addition (x=0.7%) can improve the depolarization temperature from 140°C to 161°C determined from thermally stimulated depolarization currents measurement.  相似文献

Lead free piezoelectric ceramics of Y3+‐doped Ba1?xCaxZr0.07Ti0.93O3 with = 0.05, 0.10, and 0.15 were prepared. Composition and temperature‐dependent structural phase evolution and electrical properties of as‐prepared ceramics were studied systematically by X‐ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, impedance analyzer, ferroelectric test system, and unipolar strain measurement. Composition with = 0.10 performs a good piezoelectric constant d33 of 363 pC/N, coercive field Ec of 257 V/mm, remanent polarization Pr of 14.5 μC/cm2, and a Curie temperature Tm of 109°C. High‐resolution X‐ray diffraction was introduced to indicate presence of orthorhombic phase. Converse piezoelectric constant d33* of = 0.10 composition performed better temperature stability in the range from 50°C to 110°C. That means decreasing orthorhombic–tetragonal phase transition temperature could be an effective way to enlarge its operating temperature range.  相似文献

The structures, Curie temperature, dielectric relaxor behaviors, ferroelectricity, ferromagnetism, and magnetocapacitance of the (1?x)Ba0.70Ca0.30TiO3xBiFeO3 [(1?x)BCT–xBF, x = 0–0.90] solid solutions have been systematically investigated. The ceramics have coexisted tetragonal (T) and orthorhombic (O) phases when x ≤ 0.06, coexisted pseudocubic (PC) and O phases when x = 0.065, coexisted cubic and O phases when 0.07 ≤  0.12, PC phase when 0.21 ≤  0.42, coexisted T and rhombohedral (R) phases when 0.52 ≤  0.70, and R phase when  0.75. Significantly, composition‐dependent microstructures and Curie temperature are observed, the average grain size increases from 1.9 μm for = 0, reaches 12.0 μm for = 0.67, and then decreases to 1.3 μm for = 0.90. At room temperature, the ceramics with = 0.42–0.70 show piezoelectric properties and multiferroic behaviors, characterized by the polarization‐electric field, polarization current intensity–electric field, and magnetization–magnetic field curves, the composition with = 0.67 has maximum polarization, remnant polarization, maximum magnetization, and remnant magnetization of 15.0 μC/cm2, 9.1 μC/cm2, 0.33 emu/g, and 0.14 emu/g, respectively. In addition, the magnetocapacitance is evidenced by the increased relative dielectric constant with increasing the applied magnetic field (H). With ΔH = 8 kOe, the composition with = 0.67 shows the largest values of (εr(H) ? εr(0))/εr(0) = 2.96% at room temperature. The structure–property relationship is discussed intensively.  相似文献

A ternary ferroelectric ceramic system, (1?x?y)Pb(In1/2Nb1/2)O3xPb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3yPbTiO3 (PIN–PZN–PT, x = 0.21, 0.27, 0.36, 0.42), was prepared using a two‐step precursor method. The phase structure, dielectric, piezoelectric, and ferroelectric properties of the ternary ceramics were systematically investigated. A morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) was identified by X‐ray diffraction. The optimum piezoelectric and electromechanical properties were achieved for a composition close to MPB (0.5PIN–0.21PZN–0.29PT), where the piezoelectric coefficient d33, planar electromechanical coupling factor kp, and remnant polarization Pr are 660 pC/N,72%, and 45 μC/cm2, respectively. The Curie temperature TC and rhombohedral to tetragonal phase transition temperature TR?T were also derived by temperature dependence of dielectric measurements. The strongly “bended” MPB in the PIN–PT system was found to be “flattened” after addition of PZN in the PIN–PT–PZN system. The results demonstrate a possibility of growing ferroelectric single crystals with high electromechanical properties and expanded range of application temperature.  相似文献

The effect of Ba0.7Ca0.3TiO3 (BCT) substitution on the structural, dielectric, ferroelectric, and piezoelectric properties of mechano‐chemically synthesized lead‐free (1?x)Ba0.9Sr0.1TiO3‐(x)Ba0.7Ca0.3TiO3 (x=0.0, 0.10, 0.20, 0.35, and 0.50) ceramics have been investigated. XRD patterns confirms the formation of tetragonal phase with P4mm space group. The results indicate a strong influence of BCT substitution on the structural and electrical properties of Ba0.9Sr0.1TiO3 (BST) ceramic. BST–BCT ceramic for x=0.35 have shown high dielectric constant εm~21 800, high remnant polarization Pr~10.16 μC/cm2, large piezoelectric charge constant D33~293 pC/N, large piezoelectric voltage constant g33~5.80 mV·m/N, and highest dielectric breakdown strength Ebd~224 kV/cm among the five synthesized samples. The correlation between structural, dielectric, ferroelectric, and piezoelectric properties of the BST ceramic with increasing BCT content have been systematically described on the basis of domain wall motion and grain size effect.  相似文献

The 0‐3 type CaBi4Ti4O15:30 wt%BiFeO3 composite shows much better high‐temperature piezoelectric properties than the single‐phase CaBi4Ti4O15 or BiFeO3 ceramics. The composite with 0‐3 type connectivity exhibits a high density of 7.01 g/cm3, a saturated polarization of 21.5 μC/cm2 and an enhanced piezoelectric d33 of 25 pC/N. After the poled composite was annealed at 600°C, its d33 is 21 pC/N at room temperature. Resistance of the composite decreases slowly from 109 ohm at 20°C to ~105 ohm at 500°C. Furthermore, the poled composite shows strong radial and thickness dielectric resonances at 20°C‐500°C.  相似文献

Solid solution formation in the lead‐free binary system (1?x)K0.5Bi0.5TiO3?xBi(Mg0.5Ti0.5)O3 has been studied for compositions x ≤ 0.12. X‐ray powder diffraction shows single‐phase perovskite for x < 0.1, and a mixed phase region between tetragonal and pseudocubic phases for compositions 0.04 ≤ x ≤ 0.06. Large electromechanical strains of ~0.3% at fields of 50 kV/cm are recorded in the mixed phase region, with d33* (Smax/Emax) values of ~600 pm/V. The materials sustain polarization at low electric fields with remnant polarization ~18 μC/cm2 and coercive field ~20 kV/cm for x = 0.06. Relative permittivity‐temperature plots display relaxor characteristics, with peak temperature ~340°C.  相似文献

Highly (001) oriented (K,Na)NbO3 (KNN) lead‐free piezoelectric thin films were grown on LaNiO3 (LNO)‐coated silicon by RF magnetron sputtering. The effects of the top electrodes on the electrical properties of KNN thin films were investigated. The dielectric and piezoelectric properties were remarkably improved in LNO/KNN/LNO (εr = 899 at 1 kHz, d33 = 58 pm/V), compared with that in Pt/KNN/LNO (εr = 584 at 1 kHz, d33 = 26 pm/V). An enhanced ferroelectricity was also obtained in LNO/KNN/LNO, with a remnant polarization of 12 μC/cm2 and a maximum polarization of 23 μC/cm2 at the applied field of 200 kV/cm. Besides, the temperature dependence of piezoelectricity of the films was characterized in this study.  相似文献

Effects of quenching process on dielectric, ferroelectric, and piezoelectric properties of 0.71BiFeO3?0.29BaTiO3 ceramics with Mn modification (BF–BT?xmol%Mn) were investigated. The dielectric, ferroelectric, and piezoelectric properties of BF–BT?xmol%Mn were improved by quenching, especially to the BF–BT?0.3 mol%Mn ceramics. The dielectric loss tanδ of quenched BF–BT?0.3 mol%Mn ceramics was only 0.28 at 500°C, which was half of the slow cooling one. Meanwhile, the remnant polarization Pr of quenched BF–BT?0.3 mol%Mn ceramics increased to 21 μC/cm2. It was notable that the piezoelectric constant d33 of quenched BF–BT?0.3 mol%Mn ceramics reached up to 191 pC/N, while the TC was 530°C, showing excellent compatible properties. The BF–BT?xmol%Mn system ceramics showed to obey the Rayleigh law within suitable field regions. The Rayleigh law results indicated that the extrinsic contributions to the dielectric and piezoelectric responses of quenched BF–BT?xmol%Mn ceramics were larger than the unquenched ceramics. These results presented that the quenched BF–BT?xmol%Mn ceramics were promising candidates for high‐temperature piezoelectric devices.  相似文献

(Ba1?xCax)(Ti0.92Sn0.08)O3 (x = 0.00–0.06 mol) ceramics with a high relative density over 96% were prepared by a conventional sintering method at 1480°C. At room temperature, a polymorphic phase transition from orthorhombic phase to tetragonal phase was confirmed by the XRD patterns in the composition range of 0.04 ≤ x ≤ 0.06. A high piezoelectric coefficient d33 up to 568 pC/N was obtained at x = 0.05 mol, which is higher than the other component of (Ba,Ca)(Ti,Sn)O3 system. At the same time, the corresponding planar electromechanical coupling factor kp, converse piezoelectric coefficient dS/dE, and dielectric constant εr reach 47.7%, 1013 pm/V, and 23000, respectively. These results indicate that the (Ba,Ca)(Ti,Sn)O3 ceramics are a promising candidate to replace for the lead‐based piezoelectric materials.  相似文献

Lead‐free ferroelectric ceramics (1–x)(Ba0.7Ca0.3)TiO3xBa(Zr0.2Ti0.8)O3 (BCTZ100x) with x = 0.20, 0.30, 0.40, 0.50, 0.60, 0.70, and 0.80 were evaluated for their pyroelectric energy harvesting performance, using the Olsen cycle. As the composition ratio x increased, the crystal phase changed to tetragonal, orthorhombic, rhombohedral, and cubic; the phase boundaries crossed each other in the vicinity of BCTZ70. The crossover phase transition behavior between first‐order and diffuse phase transition changed to only the diffusion phase transition with increasing x. A pinching effect occurred because an increase in dielectric constant was also observed. Energy densities ND of 229 mJ/cm3 and 256 mJ/cm3 for BCTZ50 and BCTZ80 were obtained, respectively, in temperature of 30°C‐100°C and an electric field of 0‐30 kV/cm. These ND values are over two times higher than that of soft–Pb(Ti,Zr)O3 (PZT), which exhibits piezoelectric performance equivalent to BCTZ50 at room temperature. Compared with soft–PZT, BCTZ50 and BCTZ80 exhibited larger ND values owing to their lower Curie temperatures (TC ~ 50°C‐110°C). We conclude that low–TC ferroelectrics are useful for pyroelectric energy conversion based on the Olsen cycle even if they are unsuitable for piezoelectric applications at high temperatures.  相似文献

Multiferroic Bi1?xLaxFeO3 [BLFO (x)] ceramics with x = 0.10–0.50 and Mn‐doped BLFO (x = 0.30) ceramics with different doping contents (0.1–1.0 mol%) were prepared by solid‐state reaction method. They were crystallized in a perovskite phase with rhombohedral symmetry. In the BLFO (x) system, a composition (x)‐driven structural transformation (R3cC222) was observed at x = 0.30. The formation of Bi2Fe4O9 impure phase was effectively suppressed with increasing the x value, and the rhombohedral distortion in the BLFO ceramics was decreased, leading to some Raman active modes disappeared. A significant red frequency shift (~13 cm?1) of the Raman mode of 232 cm?1 in the BLFO ceramics was observed, which strongly perceived a significant destabilization in the octahedral oxygen chains, and in turn affected the local FeO6 octahedral environment. In the Mn‐doped BLFO (x = 0.30) ceramics, the intensity of the Raman mode near 628 cm?1 was increased with increasing the Mn‐doping content, which was resulted from an enhanced local Jahn–Teller distortions of the (Mn,Fe)O6 octahedra. Electron microscopy images revealed some changes in the ceramic grain sizes and their morphologies in the Mn‐doped samples at different contents. Wedge‐shaped 71° ferroelectric domains with domain walls lying on the {110} planes were observed in the BLFO (x = 0.30) ceramics, whereas in the 1.0 mol% Mn‐doped BLFO (x = 0.30) samples, 71° ferroelectric domains exhibited a parallel band‐shaped morphology with average domain width of 95 nm. Dielectric studies revealed that high dielectric loss of the BLFO (x = 0.30) ceramics was drastically reduced from 0.8 to 0.01 (measured @ 104 Hz) via 1.0 mol% Mn‐doping. The underlying mechanisms can be understood by a charge disproportion between the Mn4+ and Fe2+ in the Mn‐doped samples, where a reaction of Mn4+ + Fe2+→Mn3+ + Fe3+ is taken place, resulting in the reduction in the oxygen vacancies and a suppression of the electron hopping from Fe3+ to Fe2+ ions effectively.  相似文献

Bulk ceramic 72.5 mol%(Bi0.5Na0.5)TiO3–22.5 mol%(Bi0.5K0.5)TiO3–5 mol%Bi(Mg0.5Ti0.5)O3 (BNT–BKT–BMgT) has previously been reported to show a large high‐field piezoelectric coefficient (d33* = 570 pm/V). In this work, the same composition was synthesized in thin film embodiments on platinized silicon substrates via chemical solution deposition. Overdoping of volatile cations in the precursor solutions was necessary to achieve phase‐pure perovskite. An annealing temperature of 700°C resulted in good ferroelectric properties (Pmax = 52 μC/cm2 and Pr = 12 μC/cm2). Quantitative compositional analysis of films annealed at 650°C and 700°C indicated that near ideal atomic ratios were achieved. Compositional fluctuations observed through the film thickness were in good agreement with the existence of voids formed between successive spin‐cast layers, as observed with electron microscopy. Bipolar and unipolar strain measurements were performed via double laser beam interferometry and a high effective piezoelectric coefficient (d33,f) of approximately 75 pm/V was obtained.  相似文献

A novel lead‐free relaxor ferroelectric ceramic of (0.67?x)BiFeO3–0.33BaTiO3xBa(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 [(0.67?x)BF–0.33BT–xBMN,= 0–0.1] was prepared by a solid‐state reaction method. A relatively high maximum polarization Pmax of 38 μC/cm2 and a low remanent polarization Pr of 5.7 μC/cm2 were attained under 12.5 kV/mm in the = 0.06 sample, leading to an excellent energy‐storage density of W ~1.56 J/cm3 and a moderate energy‐storage efficiency of η ~75%. Moreover, a good temperature stability of the energy storage was obtained in the = 0.06 sample from 25°C to 190°C. The achievement of these characteristics was basically attributed to an electric field induced reversible ergodic to ferroelectric phase transition owing to similar free energies near a critical freezing temperature. The results indicate that the (0.67?x)BF–0.33BT–xBMN lead‐free realxor ferroelectric ceramic could be a promising dielectric material for energy‐storage capacitors.  相似文献

A ternary solid solution (1 ? x)(0.88Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3–0.12BaTiO3)‐xBi(Zn0.5Ti0.5)O3 (BNBZT, BNBZTx) was designed and fabricated using the traditional solid‐state reaction method. The temperature and composition dependence of dielectric, ferroelectric, piezoelectric, and fatigue properties were systematically investigated and a schematic phase diagram was proposed. The substitution with Bi(Zn0.5Ti0.5)O3 was found to shift the phase transition (ferroelectric tetragonal to relaxor pseudocubic phase) to lower temperatures. At a critical composition x of 0.05, large electric‐field‐induced strain response with normalized strain Smax/Emax as high as 526 pm/V was obtained under a moderate field of 4 kV/mm around room temperature. The strain exhibited good temperature stability within the temperature range of 25°C–120°C. In addition, excellent fatigue‐resistant behavior was observed in the proposed BNBZT solid solution after 106 bipolar cycles. These give the BNBZT system great potential as environmental friendly solid‐state actuator.  相似文献

Lead‐free piezoelectric ceramics, 0.96[{Bi0.5 (Na0.84K0.16)0.5}1?xLix(Ti1?yNby)O3]–0.04SrTiO3 (BNKLiTN–ST) with x,= 0–0.030, were synthesized by solid‐state reaction method. X‐ray diffraction patterns indicated that Li and Nb successfully diffused into the BNKT–ST lattice and formed a pure perovskite structure with x, y  0.025. Increasing the Li and Nb contents (x, y = 0.020) induced a phase transformation from the coexistent rhombohedral–tetragonal phases for pure BNKT–ST ceramics to a pseudocubic phase, resulting in degradation of the remnant polarization and coercive field. However, the field‐induced strain was markedly enhanced at x,= 0.020, giving rise to a giant dynamic piezoelectric constant (d33* = Smax/Emax = 800 pm/V). Furthermore, the temperature dependence of the field‐induced strain response showed temperature‐insensitivity up to 120°C. To explore its potential for device applications, a 10‐layered stack‐type multilayer actuator was fabricated from the optimal composition (x, y = 0.020). This actuator showed a large Smax/Emax of 600 pm/V at a relatively low driving field of 4.5 kV/mm suggesting highly promising results in lead‐free BNT‐based ceramics.  相似文献

A series of iron‐based perovskite oxides BaFe1−xCuxO3−δ (x = 0.10, 0.15, 0.20 and 0.25, abbreviated as BFC‐10, BFC‐15, BFC‐20 and BFC‐25, respectively) as cathode materials have been prepared via a combined EDTA‐citrate complexing sol‐gel method. The effects of Cu contents on the crystal structure, chemical stability, electrical conductivity, thermal expansion coefficient (TEC) and electrochemical properties of BFC‐x materials have been studied. All the BFC‐x samples exhibit the cubic phase with a space group Pm3m (221). The electrical conductivity decreases with increasing Cu content. The maximum electrical conductivity is 60.9 ± 0.9 S cm−1 for BFC‐20 at 600 °C. Substitution of Fe by Cu increases the thermal expansion coefficient. The average TEC increases from 20.6 × 10−6 K−1 for BFC‐10 to 23.7 × 10−6 K−1 for BFC‐25 at the temperature range of 30–850 °C. Among the samples, BFC‐20 shows the best electrochemical performance. The area specific resistance (ASR) of BFC‐20 on SDC electrolyte is 0.014 Ω cm2 at 800 °C. The single fuel cell with the configguration of BFC‐20/SDC/NiO‐SDC delivers the highest power density of 0.57 W cm−2 at 800 °C. The favorable electrochemical activities can be attributed to the cubic lattice structure and the high oxygen vacancy concentration caused by Cu doping.  相似文献

The (1?x) (Bi0.5Na0.5)TiO3?xBa(Al0.5Ta0.5)O3((1?x)BNT‐xBAT) lead‐free piezoceramics was fabricated using a conventional solid‐state reaction method. The temperature and composition‐dependent strain behavior, dielectric, ferroelectric (FE), piezoelectric, and pyroelectric properties have been systematically investigated to develop lead‐free piezoelectric materials with large strain response for actuator application. As the BAT content increased, the FE order is disrupted resulting in a degradation of the remanent polarization, coercive field, and the depolarization temperature (Td). A large strain of 0.36% with normalized strain d33* = 448pm/V was obtained for the optimum composition = 0.045 at room temperature. The bipolar and unipolar strains for the compositions x = 0.035 and x = 0.04 reach almost identical maximum values when the temperature is in the vicinity of their respective depolarization temperature (Td). The Raman‐spectra analysis, macroscopic properties, thermal depolarization results, and temperature‐dependent relationships of both polarization and strain demonstrated that the origin of the large strain response for this investigated system is attributed to a field‐induced relaxor to FE phase transformation.  相似文献
