虚拟现实(VR:Virtual Reality)是集计算机技术、传感与测量技术、仿真技术、微电子技术等为一体的综合集成技术,其目标为通过人工合成的经历来表示信息,让人在网络中感受到从现实生活中感受到的一切.VRML虚拟现实建模语言(Virtual Reality Modeling Language)被称为"第二代Web",它是描述虚拟现实场景的一种标准,利用它可以在Internet建立交互式的三维多媒体的虚拟世界.在VRML的基础上,实现了一个卧室的虚拟现实模型,其中包括多个物体在虚拟现实中的设计;在传统虚拟建模方法的基础上,尤其注重纹理和材质相关技术的应用,以改善虚拟物体的真实感,取得了令人满意的效果.  相似文献

Virtual Institutions (VIs) have proven to be adequate to engineer applications where participants can be humans and software agents. VIs combine Electronic Institutions (EIs) and 3D Virtual Worlds (VWs). In this context, Electronic Institutions are used to establish the regulations that structure interactions and support software agent participation while Virtual Worlds facilitate human participation. In this paper we propose Virtual Institution eXEcution Environment (VIXEE) as an innovative communication infrastructure for VIs. Using VIXEE to connect Virtual Worlds and EI opens EI to humans, providing a fully operational and comprehensive environment. The main features of the infrastructure are (i) the causal connection between Virtual Worlds and Electronic Institutions, (ii) the automatic generation and update of the VIs' 3D visualization and (iii) the simultaneous participation of users from different virtual world platforms. We illustrate the execution of VIXEE system in a simple eAuction house example and use this example to evaluate the performance of our solution.  相似文献

Virtual manufacturing systems provide a useful means for products to be manufactured ‘right the first time’ without the need of physical testing on the shop floor. Earlier research was mostly on developing a virtual manufacturing environment. Over the years, simple graphical prediction and simulation gave way to complex multi-science predictions. Virtual systems such as Virtual Machine Tool, Virtual Machining, Virtual Assembly, Virtual Tooling and Virtual Prototype have been developed to support virtual manufacturing. Different systems and approaches have different targeted applications. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive review of existing virtual systems. Their focuses and approaches (i.e. virtual reality, Web-based techniques, mathematical modelling, hardware interactions and STEP-NC-based methodologies) are discussed in detail. To better understand the systems, we have categorized them into different groups according to their application domains. Discussions and concluding remarks are given based on the review.  相似文献

We introduce a new projection-based AR display system-the Virtual Showcase. The Virtual Showcase has the same form factor as a real showcase, making it compatible with traditional museum displays. Real scientific and cultural artifacts are placed inside the Virtual Showcase allowing their 3D graphical augmentation. Inside the Virtual Showcase, virtual representations and real artifacts share the same space providing new ways of merging and exploring real and virtual content. Solely virtual exhibits may also be displayed. The virtual part of the showcase can react in various ways to a visitor, which provides the possibility for intuitive interaction with the displayed content  相似文献

针对传统方法只能发现单一类型虚拟机的缺陷,提出基于虚拟机监控器时间开销的虚拟机发现方法。特定指令能使监控器运行时产生显著的额外开销,该方法能利用监控器执行不同指令序列产生的相对时间开销对虚拟机进行判别。实验结果表明,该方法能够准确发现目前3类主流虚拟机。  相似文献

A natural consequence of the extended use of CAD systems for the design and production of any kind of vessel is its use in Virtual Reality environments, mainly because now it has become an accessible technology. Virtual Reality is extended in every industry, in every sector, at any level. Important improvements both in software and hardware have had an important impact in its use in the shipbuilding industry, where it is necessary to handle complex ship 3D models with huge amount of data. So, efficiency is the base condition in the Virtual Reality navigation around a vessel. To enhance it, there are three important factors that play a fundamental role. The first one is having an appropriate CAD system with all the information of the ship in a single data base. The second important issue is to have a viewer, which is a tool that allows the management of the 3D model to be used in Virtual Reality environments. No need to say that a good integration between the viewer and the CAD system will be translated into more functionality and better performance. Finally, the third important player is hardware, which makes possibility the Virtual Reality navigation in many different environments.This paper describes first of all different efficient uses of Virtual Reality in the shipbuilding industry, taking in consideration all the agents involved and describing in particular the advantages for any of them. Regarding the software requirements, it will be described in particular the new FVIEWER, developed by SENER for the Virtual Reality navigation and design review and based on the FORAN system. From the hardware side, it will be described some of the most relevant and feasible applications of the Virtual Reality, taking in consideration potential uses and accessible technology in the market. The future of the Virtual Reality in shipbuilding will be explained after that.  相似文献

虚拟现实技术的出现,使现代教育培训发生了很大变化。究其原因主要是虚拟培训有着传统培训方式无法比拟的优势。虚拟教育培训是指利用虚拟现实技术来模拟现实生活中的环境,学员在培训的过程中始终感觉自己在现场进行真实培训。虚拟现实技术利用先进的交互设备在视觉、听觉、触觉上对虚拟环境中的事物进行感知,有利于实际操作技能的提高。该文论述了虚拟现实技术在教育培训应用中的必要性和优越性。以电力培训系统的构建为例,阐述了如何利用3DSM Max和OpenGL构建虚拟培训系统,实现了虚拟现实与教育培训的有机结合。  相似文献

虚拟现实技术是目前国内外计算机应用研究的热点,其实时的三维空间表现力和逼真的沉浸感,将极大地推动计算机仿真技术的发展。该文详述了虚拟现实技术的主要特征及其应用,并介绍了虚拟现实建模语言VRML的基本格式和特点,讨论了基于VRML构建室内虚拟环境的常用技术。最后,利用支持VRML的3DSMAX软件实现了三维复杂物体建模,通过Java/Java Script实现了用户与室内虚拟环境之间的动态交互。  相似文献

虚拟组织是网格体系结构中的基本组织单元,借鉴网格研究中对虚拟组织的特性分析,可以在网络信息检索研究中定义虚拟站点的概念。实验发现,虚拟站点入口页面是网络信息环境中具有较高质量的一个网页集合:实验表明,仅为全部页面数量21 %的此类页面就涵盖了70 %以上的超链接,对这个集合进行的内容检索也比对网页全集的检索有超过60 %的性能提高。这提供了一种在减少索引规模前提下提高网络信息检索性能的解决方案。  相似文献

Virtual humans: thirty years of research, what next?   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
In this paper, we present research results and future challenges in creating realistic and believable Virtual Humans. To realize these modeling goals, real-time realistic representation is essential, but we also need interactive and perceptive Virtual Humans to populate the Virtual Worlds. Three levels of modeling should be considered to create these believable Virtual Humans: 1) realistic appearance modeling, 2) realistic, smooth and flexible motion modeling, and 3) realistic high-level behaviors modeling. At first, the issues of creating virtual humans with better skeleton and realistic deformable bodies are illustrated. To give a level of believable behavior, challenges are laid on generating on the fly flexible motion and complex behaviours of Virtual Humans inside their environments using a realistic perception of the environment. Interactivity and group behaviours are also important parameters to create believable Virtual Humans which have challenges in creating believable relationship between real and virtual humans based on emotion and personality, and simulating realistic and believable behaviors of groups and crowds. Finally, issues in generating realistic virtual clothed and haired people are presented.  相似文献
