With the unprecedented pace of construction in China, reliable and consistent communication between the various building industry players (both local and international) throughout the whole building delivery process is of paramount importance for the successful achievement of green building improvement in China. In order to achieve the goals of the green building standards through integrated team work in a reformed building delivery process, a web-based information technology (IT) infrastructure named China Green Building Codes and Standards Online (iCodes) is developed based on advanced web application and database technologies. The principal strategic thrust of the work is to develop an integrated bi-lingual platform to support the processes involved in building energy efficiency practices as well as research and development (R&D) purposes. It aims to provide a consistent knowledge repository for generating educational material for teaching and training purposes that cover the life-cycle building delivery process. With the help of the fast growing and wide spread Internet technology in China, this integrated IT framework and features will enable efficient dissemination of green building practice related information throughout China. 相似文献

The goals, methodology, and content of a beginning course in design are presented here as an approach to the teaching of the fundamental principles of making architecture. In the course the pedagogical how has equal standing with the what of content. Concepts from educational theory and practice are applied, including working with a hierarchy of educational goals and employing the idea of “scaffolding” to help the student learn and use the material. Taught by different people in different schools for more than 30 years, the course makes use of established building types, progressive sequencing of assignments, multiple iterations, and ongoing comparisons between projects, which allow students to develop a rigorous foundation in their training as future architects. 相似文献

This EC ALTENER programme project sought to develop an integrated package of teaching materials on solar energy and energy efficiency in office buildings. The ultimate audience is a multi-disciplinary one, including architects, building services engineers, building economists and building energy managers. The project focused on mid-career education and the primary audience targeted by the project consists of the organisers and instructors of mid-career courses for these four professions in the 15 EU member states. The paper describes the process undertaken by the four collaborating organisations, and the resulting educational material. The package includes eight technical modules, with four exemplar case studies, one of which covers the refurbishment of an existing building, and a training software program. Finally, the package also includes four instructor’s modules, one for each of the four target audiences. 相似文献

The application of increased energy conservation standards and of solar energy to an educational project—as opposed to the more frequent domestic application—is the subject of this paper, which describes how these measures were applied to a new village school in Cornwall. The solar panels were detached from the school building on a separate, simple rig as a more economic solution, which did not inhibit the design of the rest of the project with regard to educational requirement. The school building is a traditional form of structure, but with the performance of the various wall and roof elements increased to provide a superior energy conserving envelope. As part of the UK National Solar Energy Research Programme the performance of the building is being monitored by the University of Bath, financed by a grant from the Department of Energy. 相似文献
