The color-tunable up-conversion (UC) emission was observed in ZrO2:Yb3+, Er3+ thin films synthesized on fused silica substrates using a chemical solution deposition method. The crystal structure, surface morphology image and optical transmittance of ZrO2:Yb3+, Er3+ thin films were detected in the matter of Yb3+/Er3+ doping content. Under excitation by 980?nm infrared light, intense UC emission can be obtained from ZrO2:Yb3+, Er3+ thin films. Photoluminescence study shows that there are two emission bands centered at 548?nm and 660?nm in the UC luminescence spectra, which can be owing to (2H11/2,4S3/2)→4I15/2 and 4F9/24I15/2 transitions of Er3+ ions, respectively. In addition, the color coordinate of UC emission between green-red can be tuned by properly adjusting the dopant concentration, because the composition of Yb3+/Er3+ affect the red/green ratio via the process of cross relaxation and energy back transfer. Our study suggests that ZrO2:Yb3+, Er3+ thin films can be considered as promising materials for new photoluminescence devices.  相似文献

Rare‐earth‐doped oxyfluoride germanate and borate glasses were synthesized and next studied using spectroscopic methods. Influence of fluoride modifier on luminescence properties of rare earths in different glass hosts was examined. The excitation and emission spectra of Pr3+ and Er3+ ions in the studied glasses were registered. The emission spectra of Pr3+ ions in germanate and borate glasses are quite different and depend strongly on the glass host. In samples doped with Er3+ ions emission bands located around 1530 nm corresponding to the main 4I13/24I15/2 laser transition were registered, independently of the glass host. Quite long‐lived near‐infrared luminescence of Er3+ ions was observed for germanate glasses with low BaF2 content, while in borate glass systems influence of barium fluoride on luminescence lifetimes is not so evident. The Judd–Ofelt calculations were used in order to determine quantum efficiencies of excited states of rare‐earth ions in germanate and borate glasses.  相似文献

Upconversion (UC) peak of 4S3/24I15/2 transition of Er3+ is close to that of 2H11/24I15/2 transition. The UC emission splitting of Er3+ caused by coordination fields of host results in that it is difficult to confirm which transitions (4S3/24I15/2 or 2H11/24I15/2) are responsible for the splitting UC emission peaks. In this work, the UC luminescence peaks located at 524, 540, 551, 565, 662, 677, and 683 nm were observed in the Ba2Y(BO3)2Cl:Yb3+, Er3+ phosphor upon the 980 nm excitation. The 524 and 540 nm UC emissions intensity were increased, while the 551 and 565 nm UC emissions intensity were decreased with the temperature increasing from 323 to 573 K, which is attributed to the phonon‐assisted population inversion from the 4S3/2 to 2H11/2 level. The temperature dependence of UC emission spectra demonstrated that the 524 and 540 nm UC emissions are from 2H11/24I15/2 transition, and 551 and 565 nm UC emissions are from the 4S3/24I15/2 transition. Temperature sensing property was characterized by the UC intensity ratio of the 2H11/24I15/2 transition to 4S3/24I15/2 transition. The Ba2Y(BO3)2Cl:Yb3+,Er3+ phosphor has potential application as the non‐contact temperature sensor.  相似文献

A series of BaBi2-xNb2ErxO9 ceramic compositions with different Er3+ concentration (x = 0.0–8 mol %) is synthesized by a conventional solid-state reaction method. The upconversion (UC) light emission under 980 nm excitation with different pump powers and luminescence-based temperature sensing ability of BaBi2-xNb2ErxO9 composition have been examined. The formation of a Bi-layered perovskite phase of BaBi2Nb2O9 is confirmed having an orthorhombic geometry and Fmmm space group. Shifts in the Raman modes indicate reduced interaction of Bi3+ ions with NbO6 octahedron leading to relaxation of structural distortion with increasing Er3+ content. The maximum value for remnant polarization and coercive field of doped BaBi2-xNb2ErxO9 ceramic for (x = 0.08) Erbium concentration comes out to be 2.9524 μC/cm2 and 49.8980 kV/cm. For an optimum content of x = 0.04, two strong UC green emission bands were observed at 549 nm via 4S3/2 → 4I15/2 transition and 527 nm via 2H11/2 → 4I15/2 transitions, and a weak red emission appears at 657 nm attributed to the 4F9/2 → 4I15/2 transition. Pump power dependence suggests that UC emission is a two-photon mechanism for red and green emission bands. Temperature sensing evaluated by the change in the fluorescence intensity ratio (I527/I549) indicates the highest sensitivity to be 0.00996 K?1 at 483 K for an optimum concentration of Er3+ at x = 0.04 in BaBi2-xNb2ErxO9 composition and is useful for non-contact optical thermometry.  相似文献

This paper reports the luminescent response upconversion of zirconium oxide (ZrO2) nanoparticles doped with erbium (Er3+) and ytterbium (Yb3+) ions, synthesized by hydrothermal route. X ray diffraction (DRX) showed that the synthesized material presents the face centered cubic (FCC) structure. High resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) showed the presence of crystals size smaller than 10 nm. The photoluminescent analysis allowed to observe an intense upconversion luminescence emission of the samples doped with both ions Er3+ and Yb3+, when these are excited with 910 nm laser source, showing the electronic transitions 4F9/24I5/2; 2H11/24I5/2; 4S3/24I15/2 of Er3+. Two decay times were observed, whose behavior can be associated to the average distance between erbium ions within the nanocrystals.  相似文献

The Er3+ concentration dependencies of upconversion luminescence in oxy‐fluoride glass and glass‐ceramics containing PbF2 nanocrystals were investigated. Strong red emission from the 4F9/2 → 4I15/2 transition was observed with the addition of ~0.8 mol% Er3+ ions, whereas ~10 mol% of Er3+ is required to achieve such emission in several other crystalline hosts. Intensities of red emission further increased with the formation of nanocrystals through heat treatment. The Er3+ ions enriched in glass and segregated preferentially inside the PbF2 nanocrystals that decreased the distance among Er3+ ions and thereby facilitated energy transfer.  相似文献

The color‐tunable up‐conversion (UC) emission and infrared photoluminescence and dielectric relaxation of Er3+/Yb3+ co‐doped Bi2Ti2O7 pyrochlore thin films prepared by a chemical solution deposition method have been investigated. The pyrochlore phase structure of Bi2Ti2O7 can be stabilized by Er3+/Yb3+ co‐doping. Intense color‐tunable UC emission and infrared photoluminescence can be detected on the thin films excited by a 980 nm diode laser. Two UC emission bands centered at 548 and 660 nm in the spectra can be assigned to 2H11/2, 4S3/24I15/2 and 4F9/24I15/2 transitions of Er3+ ions, respectively. A Stokes infrared emission centered at 1530 nm is due to 4I13/24I15/2 transition of Er3+ ions. The dependence of UC emission intensity on pumping power indicates that the UC emission of the thin films is a two‐photon process. The thin films also exhibit a relatively high dielectric constant and a low dissipation factor as well as a good bias voltage stability. Temperature‐ and frequency‐dependent dielectric relaxation has been confirmed. This study suggests that Er3+/Yb3+ co‐doped Bi2Ti2O7 thin films can be applied to new multifunctional photoluminescence dielectric thin‐film devices.  相似文献

Color-tunable up-conversion powder phosphors Zn(AlxGa1-x)2O4: Yb3+,Tm3+,Er3+ were synthesized via high temperature solid-state reaction. Also, the morphological and structural characterization, up-conversion luminescent properties were all investigated in this paper. In brief, under the excitation of a 980?nm laser, all powders have same emission peaks containing blue emission at 477?nm (attributed to 1G43H6 transition of Tm3+ ions), green emission at 526?nm and 549?nm (attributed to 2H11/24I15/2 and 4S3/24I15/2 transition of Er3+ ions respectively), red emission at about 659?nm and 694?nm (attributed to 4F9/24I15/2 transition of Er3+ ions and 3F33H6 transition of Tm3+ ions, respectively), which are not changed after the doping of Al3+ ions. However, the doping of Al3+ ions can enhance the up-conversion luminescent intensity and efficiency, while the emission color of as-prepared powder phosphors can be tunable by controlling the doping amount of Al3+ ions. Taking Zn(Al0.5Ga0.5)2O4:Yb,Tm,Er as the cut-off value, the emissions have clear blue-shift firstly and then show obvious red-shift with the increasing doping of Al3+ ions. Stated thus, pink emission in ZnAl2O4:Yb,Tm,Er, purplish pink emission in ZnGa2O4:Yb,Tm,Er and Zn(Al0.9Ga0.1)2O4:Yb,Tm,Er, purple emission in Zn(Al0.1Ga0.9)2O4:Yb,Tm,Er and Zn(Al0.3Ga0.7)2O4:Yb,Tm,Er, purplish blue emission in Zn(Al0.7Ga0.3)2O4:Yb,Tm,Er, blue emission in Zn(Al0.5Ga0.5)2O4:Yb,Tm,Er can be observed, which confirm the potential applications of as-prepared Zn(AlxGa1-x)2O4:Yb3+,Tm3+,Er3+ powder phosphors in luminous paint, infrared detection and so on.  相似文献

Absorption spectra, emission spectra and the rate parameters of the energy-exchange processes relevant to the 4I11/24I13/2 laser transition in Er3+/Pr3+- codoped ZBYA(ZrF4–BaF2–AlF3–YF3) glass were presented. Intensive 2.7 μm emission was obtained in the codoped glass and the optimized concentration ratio of Pr3+ to Er3+ was found to be 0.1:1. With the presence of Pr3+ ions, the intensities of the green and near-infrared emission were dramatically reduced to 1/15 and 1/21, respectively. The Er3+/Pr3+-codoped sample was found to have higher predicted spontaneous transition probability (16.57%) along with larger calculated emission cross section (14.6×10−21 cm2). These results suggest that the 2.7 μm emission of Er3+ ions could be achieved in ZBYA glass and codoping with Pr3+ could greatly improve the mid-infrared emission performance.  相似文献

Yb3+/Er3+/Tm3+ doped transparent glass ceramic containing orthorhombic YF3 nanoparticles was successfully synthesized by a melt-quenching method. After glass crystallization, tremendously enhanced (about 5000 times) upconversion luminescence, obvious Start-splitting of emission bands as well as long upconversion lifetimes of Er3+/Tm3+ confirmed the incorporation of lanthanide activators into precipitated YF3 crystalline environment with low phonon energy. Furthermore, temperature-dependent upconversion luminescence behaviors of glass ceramic were systematically investigated to explore its possible application as optical thermometric medium. Impressively, both fluorescence intensity ratio of Er3+: 2H11/2  4I15/2 transition to Er3+: 4S3/2  4I15/2 one and fluorescence intensity ratio of Tm3+: 3F2,3  3H6 transition to the combined Tm3+: 1G4  3F4/Er3+: 4F9/2  4I15/2 ones were demonstrated to be applicable as temperature probes, enabling dual-modal temperature sensing. Finally, the thermal effect induced by the irradiation of 980 nm laser was found to be negligible in the glass ceramic sample, being beneficial to gain intense and precise probing signal and detect temperature accurately.  相似文献

SrIn2O4, which shows lower phonon energy than CaIn2O4, is not only a good photocatalyst but also can be an excellent up‐conversion (UC) host to exhibits UC luminescence. In this work, Yb3+ and/or Er3+ doped SrIn2O4 phosphors were synthesized, and their UC luminescence properties were studied and compared with those in the CaIn2O4 host. The structure of SrIn2O4: 0.01Er3+ and SrIn2O4: 0.1Yb3+/0.01Er3+ samples were refined by the Rietveld method and found to that SrIn2O4: 0.1Yb3+/0.01Er3+ showed increasing unit cell parameters and cell volume, indicating In3+ sites were substituted successfully by Yb3+ and/or Er3+ ions. From the UC luminescence spectra and diffuse reflection spectra, Er3+‐doped SrIn2O4 showed very weak luminescence due to ground state absorption of Er3+; Yb3+/Er3+ codoped SrIn2O4 presented strong green (550 nm) and red (663 nm) UC emissions which were assigned to energy transfer from Yb3+ transition 2F7/22F5/2 to the Er3+ transition 4S3/24I15/2 and 4F9/24I15/2. Comparing with CaIn2O4, Yb3+/Er3+ codoped SrIn2O4 showed obvious advantages with higher UC luminescent intensity. The pumping powers study showed that UC emissions in Yb3+/Er3+ codoped SrIn2O4 were attributed to energy transfer of Yb3+→Er3+ with a two‐photon process. The possible UC luminescent mechanism of Yb3+/Er3+‐doped SrIn2O4 was discussed.  相似文献

Herein, nanocrystals of Er3+ and Er3+, Yb3+ co-doped NaYF4 upconversion (UC) phosphor were prepared via the reverse-microemulsion method. The impact of different concentrations of Er3+ ions on the UC emission intensity after 980?nm diode laser excitation is discussed. The structure, morphology and composition of the nanophosphors were confirmed by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and the results showed the presence of NaYF4 nanocrystals with hexagonal phases of NaYF4. The UC spectra revealed two emission bands including a green and a red emission band and the CIE coordinate for the samples were estimated. The present research revealed that the reverse-microemulsion approach will be suitable for the synthesis of efficient upconversion nanophosphors.  相似文献

Ho3+/Yb3+‐codoped Bi2Ti2O7 pyrochlore thin films were prepared by a chemical solution deposition method, and their visible up‐conversion (UC) photoluminescence and dielectric relaxation were studied. Ho and Yb can be doped into Bi2Ti2O7 lattice and single pyrochlore phase is maintained. Intense visible UC photoluminescence can be observed under the excitation of a 980‐nm diode laser. Two UC emission bands centered at 551 nm and 665 nm in the spectra can be assigned to 5F4, 5S25I8 and 5F55I8 transitions of Ho3+ ions, respectively. The dependence of their UC emission intensity on pumping power indicates that both the green and red emissions of the thin films are two‐photon process. In addition, a Stokes near‐infrared emission centered at 1200 nm can be detected, which is due to 5I65I8 transition of Ho3+ ions. The thin films prepared on indium tin oxide–coated glass substrates exhibit a relatively high dielectric constant and a low dielectric loss as well as a good bias voltage stability. The dielectric relaxation of the thin films was also analyzed based on the temperature‐ and frequency‐dependent dielectric properties. This study suggests that Ho3+/Yb3+‐codoped Bi2Ti2O7 thin films are promising materials for developing multifunctional optoelectronic thin film devices.  相似文献

Er3+ doped K0.5Na0.5NbO3 (KNN) lead-free piezoelectric ceramics were synthesized by the solid-state reaction method. The upconversion emission properties of Er3+ doped KNN ceramics were investigated as a function of Er3+ concentration and incident pumping power intensity. Bright green (~555 nm) and red (670 nm) upconversion emission bands were obtained under 980 nm excitation at room temperature, which are attributed to (2H11/2, 4S3/2)→4I15/2 and 4F9/24I15/2 transitions, respectively. The upconversion emission intensity can be adjusted by changing Er3+ concentration, and the mechanism of upconversion processes involve not only a two-photon absorption but also a three-photon absorption. In addition to the admirable intrinsic piezoelectric properties of KNN, this kind of material may have potential application as a multifunctional device by integrating its upconversion and piezoelectric property.  相似文献

Fluorescent materials have been widely used for anti-counterfeiting of important documents and currencies, wherein their anti-counterfeit abilities could be improved through multi-mode excitation. Herein, dual-mode-excited double-colour-emitting Er3+doped SrBi4Ti4O15 up-conversion (UC) phosphors (SBTO: Er3+) were synthesised, and their UC spectra included green (2H11/2/4S3/2 → 4I15/2) and red (4F9/2 → 4I15/2) emissions from Er3+ ions under 980 or 1550 nm excitation. However, the green emission colour of phosphors was independent of dopant concentration under 980 nm laser irradiation; whereas the final emission colour was dominated by red emission and significantly affected by contents of Er3+ under 1550 nm excitation. These observations demonstrated potential application in dual-mode double-colour anti-counterfeiting. The possible UC mechanisms and emission characteristics of the phosphors using different 980 and 1550 nm irradiation source were contrastively investigated, and some fluorescent security patterns were also designed to demonstrate the potential applications in anti-counterfeiting and concealing important information.  相似文献

Er3+/Yb3+ co-doped BiOCl poly-crystals were synthesized by the conventional solid state method at 500 °C, which exhibited good crystalline and low phonon energy. Under 980 nm excitation, the samples showed intense red upconversion (UC) luminescence (Er3+: 4F9/24I15/2) as well as other four UC emission bands, including ultraviolet (UV) emission at 380 nm, violet emission at 411 nm, green UC emissions at 525 and 545 nm and near-infrared (NIR) emission between 800 and 850 nm, corresponding to the transitions of 4G11/2, 2H9/2, 2H11/2, 4S3/2 and 4I9/24I15/2 of Er3+, respectively. Interestingly, including the violet and green UC emissions, the red one originated a nearly three-photon process in this system, and a possible UC mechanism was proposed for the enhanced red emission.  相似文献

Highly rare earth(RE)ions doped glass laser materials can produce efficient single frequency mid-infrared laser. In this work, a series germanosilicate glasses with various high erbium-doping concentration (up to 4?mol%) and without concentration quenching are fabricated. Spectroscopic properties and energy transfer (ET) mechanism of efficient Er3+:4I11/24I13/2 transition have been investigated in detail upon a conventional 980?nm Laser Diode. The dense structure of silicate glass can be dissolved effectively by the introduction of GeO2, which was analyzed by Raman spectra, so that the compatibility and luminous intensity of RE ions were improved. The high predicted spontaneous transition probability (Arad =?37.65?s?1) based on the Judd-Ofelt theory and large calculated emission cross section (8.8?×?10?21 cm2) are obtained. The above results indicate that these glasses are promising to be the single frequency mid-infrared laser material.  相似文献

Er3+,Yb3+ co-doped CaWO4 polycrystalline powders were prepared by a solid-state reaction and their up-conversion (UC) luminescence properties were investigated in detail. Under 980 nm laser excitation, CaWO4: Er3+,Yb3+ powder exhibited green UC emission peaks at 530 and 550 nm, which were due to the transitions of Er3+ (2H11/2)→Er3+ (4I15/2) and Er3+ (4S3/2)→Er3+ (4I15/2), respectively. Effects of Li+ tri-doping into CaWO4: Er3+,Yb3+ were investigated. The introduction of Li+ ions reduced the optimum calcinations temperature about 100 °C by a liquid-phase sintering process and the UC emission intensity was remarkably enhanced by Li+ ions, which could be attributed to the lowering of the symmetry of the crystal field around Er3+ ions.  相似文献

ZnO-TiO2 composites co-doped with Er3+ and Yb3+ ions were successfully synthesized by powder-solution mixing method and their upconversion (UC) luminescence was evaluated. The effect of firing temperature, ZnO/TiO2 mixing ratio, and dopant concentration ranges on structural and UC luminescence properties was investigated. The crystal structure of the product was studied and calculated in detail by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD). Also, the site preference of Er3+ and Yb3+ ions in the host material was considered and analyzed based on XRD results and UC luminescence characteristics. Brightest UC luminescence was observed in the ZnO-TiO2:Er3+,Yb3+ phosphor fired at 1300 °C in which the system consisted of mixed phases; Zn2TiO4, TiO2, RE2Ti2O7 and RE2TiO5 (RE = Er3+ and/or Yb3+). Under the excitation of a 980 nm laser, the two emission bands were detected in the UC emission spectrum, weak green band centered at 544 and 559 nm, and strong red band centered at 657 and 675 nm wavelengths in accordance with 2H11/2, 4S3/24I15/2 and 4F9/24I15/2 transitions of Er3+ ion, respectively. The simple chemical formula equations, for explaining the site preference of Er3+ and Yb3+ ions in host crystal matrix, were generated by considering the Zn2TiO4 crystal structure, its crystal properties, and the effect of Er3+ and Yb3+ ions to the host crystal matrix. The UC emission intensity of the products was changed by varying ZnO/TiO2 mixing ratios, and Er3+ and Yb3+ concentrations. The best suitable condition for emitting the brightest UC emission was 1ZnO:1TiO2 doped with 3 mol% Er3+, 9 mol% Yb3+ fired at 1300 °C for 1 h.  相似文献
