The isothermal oxidation behavior of Fe-10Al, Fe-15Al, Fe-20Al alloys with and without the addition of 0.1 at% Y was studied at 800 °C under 1 × 105 Pa of flowing pure O2 for 24 h. The oxidation of three Fe-Al alloys can be divided into transient state and steady state oxidation stages. The oxidation of each stage is approximately in accordance with the parabolic law. The addition of 0.1 at% Y changes the oxidation behavior obviously and leads to a significant increase of the weight gain of Fe-10Al and Fe-15Al. The scale grown on Fe-10Al is much thicker and more complicated than that grown on Fe-20Al, which is composed of an exclusive thin layer of Al2O3 protective film. Due to the formation of a large number of nodules, the scales grown on Fe-15Al cannot provide full protection for the alloy. Scale microstructure of the three Fe-Al-0.1Y alloys is similar to their corresponding Fe-Al alloys. However, nodules with very small size still appear on the surface of Fe-20Al-0.1Y alloy. The critical Al concentration to form an exclusive Al2O3 protective layer for Fe-Al binary alloy is on the borderline between 15 at%–20 at%. For Fe-Al-0.1Y alloy, the presence of 20 at% Al is not enough to inhibit the growth of nodules.  相似文献

Effect of Cerium on the Viscosity of Liquid Fe-C Alloy of Eutectic Content   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The viscosities of liquid Fe-4.30C and Fe-4.30C-Ce alloys were measured by oscillating crucible viscometer. The results show that viscosity of Fe-4.30C alloy changes from 5.50 to 8.30 MPa~s when the liquid is cooled from 1425℃ to the melting point. The abnormity of viscosity of Fe-4.30C alloy near the melting point is reasonable due to the formation of graphite. The addition of cerium especially with content higher than 0.21% causes an evidently decrease in viscosity for eutectic alloy resulting from increase of free volume and size decrease of atom cluster in the liquids. It can be concended that the existence of C-Ce compound contributes to the discontinuous of viscosity at 1340 ~ 1370 ℃ for the Fe-4.30C-Ce alloy by experinments with differential scanning calorimeter.  相似文献

In this research the effect of cerium dopingon corrosion behavior of Ni-10 Cu-11 Fe-6 Al(wt%) alloy as a novel inert anode in titanium electrolytic production was investigated. The samples, including un-doped and Ce-doped nickel-based alloys, were prepared using vacuum induction melting(VIM) process and then exposed to the electrolysis in molten calcium chloride at 900C at à1.6 V versus graphite reference electrode for different immersion time. The surface and cross-section of the samples were characterized using scanning electron microscopy(SEM), and their electrochemical behavior was investigated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS). The results show that the un-doped samples have greater number of voids and porosities as compared to that of the 0.0064 wt% Ce-doped samples(as the optimum content of cerium in the alloy). Thus, the nickel-based alloy becomes less sensitive to the pitting by addition of cerium. The corrosion penetration depth reaches about 244 mm after 16 h of electrolysis in the un-doped sample, while was approximately 103 mm for the 0.0064 wt% Ce-doped sample, which is an indication that the corrosion penetration depth decreases by adding small amounts of Ce.  相似文献

铝具备较强的脱氧能力,被广泛应用于炼钢过程中钢液的脱氧。然而铝脱氧产生的高熔点、大尺寸Al2O3夹杂物不仅会严重降低钢液的洁净度、恶化钢材韧性和疲劳寿命,还容易造成水口结瘤,影响连铸工艺的顺行。考虑到局部过饱和度对夹杂物的形核和长大等有着重要的影响,采用纯铝和Fe-30%Al合金(质量分数)对钢液进行脱氧,且实际加入的铝量保持一致,通过对不同脱氧时间(30、60 s)的钢液成分和夹杂物特征进行分析,研究了不同铝含量的合金对钢液洁净度的影响。结果表明,相较于纯铝脱氧,Fe-30%Al合金在相同时间节点下脱氧效果更好,合金中铝元素溶解速度更慢。此外,在目前试验条件下使用纯铝脱氧的钢样中夹杂物尺寸可达到9μm,而使用Fe-30%Al合金脱氧的夹杂物尺寸最大只有4μm。采用纯铝脱氧60 s后钢中夹杂物平均尺寸为Fe-30%Al合金脱氧的1.35倍,且单位面积夹杂物数量多了23%。两种合金在脱氧过程中残留在钢液中的夹杂物均以多面体夹杂为主,并有少量碰撞聚集形成的松散型团簇状夹杂。使用Fe-30%Al合金脱氧比纯铝脱氧更有利于钢液洁净度的提高,这取决于两...  相似文献

 Microstructure and high-temperature dry sliding wear at 600 ℃ in ambient air of austenitic heat-resistant steel ZG40Cr25Ni20 with different contents (mass percent) of Al (0 to 710%) have been investigated. The results show that microstructures of 468% and 710% Al addition content consist of the matrix and reinforcement of intermetallic compound γ′ and carbide, while microstructures of ZG40Cr25Ni20 without Al and with Al of 168% are absent of γ′. Higher wear resistance than the original ZG40Cr25Ni20 alloy is achieved in alloys with higher content of Al under the same high-temperature wear test condition. The wear rates of Fe-25Cr-20Ni-710Al and Fe-25Cr-20Ni-468Al are only 2083% and 4583% of that of Fe-25Cr-20Ni, respectively. Heat-resistant steels with higher contents of Al (472% and 710%) have higher hardness than those with lower contents of Al (168% and 0). Wear mechanisms of ZG40Cr25Ni20 are considered as severe plough plastic deformation and slight adhesive. However, wear mechanisms of Fe-25Cr-20Ni-468Al are light micro-cutting and oxidation-wear, while that of Fe-25Cr-20Ni-710Al are severe adhesive transfer and oxidation-wear.  相似文献

The tensile and fracture toughness behaviour of Ti-10V-4.5Fe-3Al alloy in the beta solution treated condition was investigated as a function of β grain size and the behaviour was compared with that of Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al alloy. It was found that this alloy, unlike the Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al alloy, did not exhibit any stress induced martensitic transformation during tensile testing. This was attributed to the higher stability of the β phase in this alloy as compared to that in Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al alloy because of the higher iron content. The yield strength, ultimate tensile strength, total elongation and fracture toughness in this alloy were found to decrease with increase in grain size. The yield strength of this alloy was found to obey the Hall-Petch relationship with grain size, similar to the observation in Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al alloy. However, the σi value was higher and k value lower than that observed in Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al alloy. The fracture toughness in Ti-10V-4.5Fe-3Al alloy was also found to increase linearly with inverse square root of grain size; however, the slope was significantly less than that observed in Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al alloy.  相似文献

High temperature corrosion tests in 80 pct Na2SO4-20 pct NaCI were made on five Fe-30 wt pct Cr-5 wt pct Al alloys containing various amounts of cerium up to 0.68 pct. After the corrosion tests, samples were examined metallographically and by X-ray diffraction and X-ray microanalysis. It was found that the surface scale formed on each sample decreased in thickness as the Ce content increased. Electron probe microanalyses suggest that this retarding behavior is related to the early formation of a Ce-induced protective scale of α-Al2O3. The role of Ce in promoting the formation of the α-Al2O3 scale is discussed.  相似文献
