For a class of infinite-dimensional systems we obtain a simple frequency domain solution for the suboptimal Nehari extension problem. The approach is via J-spectral factorization, and it uses the concept of an equalizing vector. This paper introduces general discrete linear Hamiltonian eigenvalue problems and characterizes the eigenvalues. Assumptions are given, among them the new notion of strict controllability of a discrete system, that imply isolatedness and lower boundedness of the eigenvalues. Due to the quite general assumptions, discrete Sturm-Liouville eigenvalue problems of higher order are included in the presented theory.  相似文献

The inherent uncertainties in geometry, material properties, etc. of engineering structures can be represented by stochastic models, where the parameters are described by probabilistic laws. Results from any analysis based on stochastic models inherit probabilistic information as well, which can be used e.g. for reliability analysis. Particularly in linear dynamics of structures the calculation and analysis of random eigenvalues and eigenvectors is crucial. A quite versatile, however computationally intensive way to analyze such systems is direct Monte Carlo simulation. In this paper procedures are shown, which allow a significant reduction of computational efforts of the simulation using a subspace iteration scheme with “optimally” selected start-vectors. As the subspace iteration procedure, although quite accurate, requires a factorization of the stiffness matrix, as an alternative, a procedure based on component mode synthesis is suggested.  相似文献

By employing the Deimling fixed point index theory, we consider a class of second-order nonlinear differential systems with two parameters . We show that there exist three nonempty subsets of : Γ, Δ1 and Δ2 such that and the system has at least two positive periodic solutions for (λ,μ)Δ1, one positive periodic solution for (λ,μ)Γ and no positive periodic solutions for (λ,μ)Δ2. Meanwhile, we find two straight lines L1 and L2 such that Γ lies between L1 and L2.  相似文献

A novel approach for approximating the nonlinear optimal feedback control of a system with a terminal cost is proposed. To lessen the difficulty due to nonlinearity, we try to treat the system in a framework of linear theories. For this, we assume a quantum mechanical linear wave associated with the system. Since the control system is constrained by state equations, we handle the system according to quantum mechanics of constrained dynamics. A Hamiltonian is represented as a linear operator acting on a function that describes behavior of waves. Subsequently, nonlinear feedback is calculated without any time integration in the backward direction. Using eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the linear Hamiltonian operator, an optimal feedback law is given as a combination of analytic functions of time and state variables. We take as an example a system described by two scalar variables for state and control input. Simulation studies on the system by the eigenvalue analysis show that the proposed method reduces calculation time to nearly a tenth that of a numerical calculation of a Hamilton-Jacobi equation by a finite difference method.  相似文献

Under relative-degree-one and minimum-phase assumptions, it is well known that the class of finite-dimensional, linear, single-input (u), single-output (y) systems (A,b,c) is universally stabilized by the feedback strategy u = Λ(λ)y, λ = y2, where Λ is a function of Nussbaum type (the terminology “universal stabilization” being used in the sense of rendering /s(0/s) a global attractor for each member of the underlying class whilst assuring boundedness of the function λ(·)). A natural generalization of this result to a class k of nonlinear control systems (a,b,c), with positively homogeneous (of degree k 1) drift vector field a, is described. Specifically, under the relative-degree-one (cb ≠ 0) and minimum-phase hypotheses (the latter being interpreted as that of asymptotic stability of the equilibrium of the “zero dynamics”), it is shown that the strategy u = Λ(λ)/vby/vbk−1y, assures k-universal stabilization. The pth moment exponential stability of stochastic Cohen-Grossberg with time-varying delays is investigated in this paper. A set of novel sufficient conditions on pth moment exponential stability are given for the considered system by using the well-known Razumikhin-type theorem. This paper addresses the issues of stability, L2-gain analysis and H control for switched systems via multiple Lyapunov function methods. A concept of general Lyapunov-like functions is presented. A necessary and sufficient condition for stability of switched systems is given in terms of multiple generalized Lyapunov-like functions, which enables derivation of improved stability tests, an L2-gain characterization and a design method for stabilizing switching laws. Systems and control theory has long been a rich source of problems for the numerical linear algebra community. In many problems, conditions on analytic functions of a complex variable are usually evaluated by solving a special generalized eigenvalue problem. In this paper we develop a general framework for studying such problems. We show that for these problems, solutions can be obtained by either solving a generalized eigenvalue problem, or by solving an equivalent eigenvalue problem. A consequence of this observation is that these problems can always be solved by finding the eigenvalues of a Hamiltonian (or discrete-time counterpart) matrix, even in cases where an associated Hamiltonian matrix, cannot (normally) be defined. We also derive a number of new compact tests for determining whether or not a transfer function matrix is strictly positive real. These tests, which are of independent interest due to the fact that many problems can be recast as SPR problems, are defined even in the case when the matrix D+D is singular, and can be formulated without requiring inversion of the system matrix A.  相似文献

Solved was a number of the classical variational problems of control of the distributed-parameter dynamic systems constrained also by nondifferential and differential equations. The corresponding rules of the Lagrange multipliers were formulated and proved. For the generalized diffusion and generalized wave processes, the results obtained were applied to the conditional variational problems of distributed optimal control. Derivation of the Euler-Poisson and Euler equations as applied to the designed control system was substantiated for these problems.  相似文献

This paper studies the existence of solutions for nonlinear fractional differential equations and inclusions of order q∈(3,4] with anti-periodic boundary conditions. In the case of inclusion problem, the existence results are established for convex as well as nonconvex multivalued maps. Our results are based on some fixed point theorems, Leray-Schauder degree theory, and nonlinear alternative of Leray-Schauder type. Some illustrative examples are discussed.  相似文献
