Analysis on China''s Petroleum Imports and Exports in 1 st Half of 2005

In the first half of 2005, the import of crude oil increased 4% up of the same period, but the net import of petroleum products including crude oil, oil products,liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and others declined 7% of the same period last year.     

Current State and Prospect of China Natural Gas Industry

Natural gas output remained stable growth and reached 130.9 billion cubic meters in 2015, 3% higher than the same period last year. Shale gas saw huge progress. China thus became the third country in the world fulfilling commercial development after U.S. and Canada. Natural gas import growth and growth rate declined obviously, and the imported pipeline gas and LNG totaled 61.2 billion cubic meters in 2015. Apparent natural gas consumption was 186.5 billion cubic meters in 2015, rising by 4.4% as compared with the same period last year, but it hit a historic low. There is higher downward pressure on domestic macro economy in 2016. However, natural gas demand will see more rapid growth, propelled by such favorable factors as gas price regulation and environmental protection policies. It is prospected that natural gas market will take a turn for the better than in 2015, and natural gas supply will still be rich in general in 2016.     

CNOOC Limited Announces 3~(rd) Quarter Business Results

On October 25, CNOOC Limited announced a 56.5% increase in the unaudited oil and gas revenues of 6.79 billion yuan for the third quarter of 2002, compared to the revenues of 4.34 yuan billion during the same quarter of 2001. For the nine months ended September 30, 2002, the revenues from the oil and gas sector were 16.42 billion yuan, compared to 13.90 billion yuan during the same period last year, an 18.1% increase year-over-year.

CNPC rapidly expanded its overseas oil and gas operation in 2001. China''s Fuel Oil Imports Continues to Hit Record High

China, the world's second-largest oil consumer, has managed to set a new full-year record for fuel oil imports in just 10 months, a clear sign of its appetite for refined oil products will continue unabated next year. According to data issued in late-November by China's General Administration of Customs, the country imported 2.1 million metric tons of fuel oil in October, up 26 percent from the same month last year, bringing total imports in the first 10 months to 24.76million tons.     

Oil Production of CNOOC Higher Than Expected

On August 13, CNOOC announced the company's profit in the first half of 2004 topped 10 billion yuan while the slaes income exceeded 30 billion yuan. Net Profit of Sinopec Drops Sharply in the First Half

China Petrochemical Corporation （Sinopec）, Asia＇s biggest oil refiner, saw its first half net profit fell 73.4 percent over the same period of last year. The company＇s net profit was 9.34 billion yuan （US$1.36 billion） in the first six months, or 0.108 yuan per share under China＇s accountant rules, said the Sinopec in its half-year report released in August.     

China to Increase Oil Processing Capacity Sharply

China plans to raise its annual crude oil processing capacity to 405 million tons by 2011 in the efforts to implement its restructuring and stimulus plans for the petrochemical industry. This will represent an increase of about 18.4 percent over its processing volume last year,which topped 342.1 million tons, according to the figures from National Bureau of Statistics. China is scheduled to build three to four major oil refining plants in the Yangtze River Delta in eastern China and the Pearl River Delta in southern China by 2011. Each plant would be capable of processing 20 million tons of oil annually.

裂解C5脱有机硫实验研究

针对炼油厂裂解C₅馏分脱除有机硫,对脱硫剂、最佳脱硫条件以及脱硫剂循环回收利用进行了研究。结果表明,质量分数5%复合胺溶液（TSC5）为最佳脱硫剂,在0.1 MPa、30℃、反应时间20 min和剂/油体积比0.3条件下,可使裂解C₅馏分的硫质量分数从106 μg/g降至8.7μg/g,脱硫率91.8%,收率99.4%。以洗涤水/油体积比1.5（其中循环再生水/油体积比1.3,去离子水/油体积比0.2）对脱硫后C₅馏分进行水洗,可将脱硫C₅馏分中的复合胺质量分数降至2 μg/g以下。在80℃、空速180 h^-1条件下,采用N₂汽提法对复合胺富液和洗涤水的混合液进行分离回收利用,其重新配制的TSC5脱硫剂的脱硫效果与新鲜剂相当。提出了裂解C₅深度脱有机硫的原则工艺流程。     

Rapid Growth in China''s Oil & Gas Drilling Equipment Exports

China's exports of oil and gas drilling equipment rose to 500 million dollars in 2005 from less than 200 dollars in 2002 for its rapid growth of manufacturing such equipment from the start of 2005, with an annual increment of 26.1 percent. Exports of oil and gas drilling equipment with different types at Shanghai port reached 140 million dollars in the first half of 2006, 3.1 times higher than the same period of last year.     

Development Status and Prospects of the Natural Gas Industry in China

The year 2017 saw explosive growth in China's natural gas market, and the apparent consumption was 235.7 billion cubic meters, up 18.2% over the same period of 2016. In 2017, China's domestic production growth picked up significantly, reaching 145.3 billion cubic meters, an increase of 9%.Natural gas imports grew rapidly, and imported pipeline gas and imported LNG totaled 91.6 billion cubic meters. The trade volume of LNG surpassed that of pipeline gas for the first time since 2012. In 2018, the macro-economy is expected to maintain growth at a moderate-to-high rate. However, driven by favorable factors such as environmental policies, China's demand for natural gas is expected to continue to grow rapidly, and natural gas consumption will maintain double-digit growth, roughly at 12%. Nevertheless, the seasonable imbalance between natural gas supply and demand will remain conspicuous.
