The novel distributed mobility management trend is a promising direction to cope with the increasing mobile data traffic and flatten network architectures. Most of the novel mobility approaches distribute the mobility anchors through the access level, as opposed to the centralized mobility anchoring model. Other recent approaches argue that mobility anchors closer to the content servers may be the solution to optimize the mobility performance. However, none of the mobility anchoring models is ideal for all scenarios, since it depends on the user, the session and the network. Hence, we propose an IP mobility approach driven by the context of the user, sessions and the network, where the mobility anchors for IP address allocation and for routing/forwarding are distributed through the network nodes, while the mobility context is managed by the mobile devices. Although each session is properly anchored in the establishment phase, the routing/forwarding is adapted over time, according to the user, the session and the network context: the proposed approach is able to signal different mobility anchors to optimize the routing path to new and ongoing sessions of the user. The outcome of the evaluation shows that the proposed approach overall reduces the data cost, the data delay, the tunneled packets and the tunnel length, when compared with other anchoring models.  相似文献

With the help of various positioning tools, individuals’ mobility behaviors are being continuously captured from mobile phones, wireless networking devices and GPS appliances. These mobility data serve as an important foundation for understanding individuals’ mobility behaviors. For instance, recent studies show that, despite the dissimilarity in the mobility areas covered by individuals, there is high regularity in the human mobility behaviors, suggesting that most individuals follow a simple and reproducible pattern. This survey paper reviews relevant results on uncovering mobility patterns from GPS datasets. Specially, it covers the results about inferring locations of significance for prediction of future moves, detecting modes of transport, mining trajectory patterns and recognizing location-based activities. The survey provides a general perspective for studies on the issues of individuals’ mobility by reviewing the methods and algorithms in detail and comparing the existing results on the same issues. Several new and emergent issues concerning individuals’ mobility are proposed for further research.  相似文献

介绍了命名数据网络(NDN)移动性管理技术。在NDN网络中,移动管理分为生产者移动管理和消费者移动管理。NDN网络体系结构中有状态的转发机制原生地支持消费者移动,但是,生产者移动并未完全解决。近几年,为解决NDN网络体系结构中的移动性问题,提出了很多生产者和消费者移动管理方案。对解决方案进行了分类,分析了各方案主要的技术特性,比较了它们的优劣,提出了存在的挑战及未来研究方向。  相似文献

Many aspects of population mobility within and between the countries of Asia have been discussed widely in the literature. However, the emphasis has been on mobility of the young working-age population (especially rural–urban mobility and international labour migration). Mobility of those past retirement age (say, 65+) has been little addressed. This paper will focus on a particularly neglected aspect of mobility related to the elderly: international mobility both of the elderly and of potential caregivers for the elderly. It develops a conceptual framework for analysing and forecasting international retirement migration in East and Southeast Asia, where this phenomenon is still in its infancy. It relates this to the potential for international movement of care workers. Basic to both kinds of mobility is the enormous differences in income and in cost of living between Asian countries.  相似文献

Energy Optimization under Informed Mobility   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Energy optimization is important in wireless ad hoc networks, where node battery power is usually limited. Research results show that such a network can exploit controlled node mobility to reduce communication-related energy consumption. However, node movement itself usually consumes energy. In this paper we study the energy optimization problem that accounts for energy costs associated with both communication and physical node movement. We refer to this model as informed mobility. We first review the theoretical foundations on how to reduce total communication energy consumption, as well as increase system lifetime, by combining node movement and transmission power adaptation. Next, we describe and analyze the informed mobility optimization problem. Based on this analysis, we introduce localized algorithms and protocols for informed mobility. We propose iMobif, a flow-based informed mobility framework that collects network information for mobility decision making. We demonstrate how to use iMobif to minimize total communication energy consumption as well as to maximize system lifetime. We compare the performance of iMobif to that of systems with no mobility or only cost-unaware mobility. Simulation results show iMobif is effective in reducing energy consumption relative to such systems.  相似文献

提出了一种6LoWPAN无线传感器网络移动协议。此协议提出了6LoWPAN网络体系结构,以及6LoWPAN网络地址分层结构及地址配置算法。基于提出的6LoWPAN网络体系结构,提出了6LoWPAN网络内与网络之间的移动切换协议。在移动过程中,移动节点无须转交地址,即移动切换过程无须为移动节点配置转交地址,也无须进行转交地址注册,因此降低了移动切换代价和延迟。从理论和仿真两个角度对MIPv6、Inter-MARIO及本协议的移动切换代价、移动切换延迟、丢包率等性能参数进行了分析比较,分析结果表明本协议的移动切换代价更小、移动切换延迟更短、丢包率更低。  相似文献

移动模型是移动Ad Hoc网络协议设计和性能评估的基础。根据实体随机移动模型建模的要求,提出一种能够较好地反映现实节点运动规律、参数独立可控性强、适用性广的多状态实体随机移动模型,通过调整模型的若干参数可以产生多种现有常用的移动模型,具有一定的灵活性和通用性,给移动Ad Hoc网络模拟仿真场景的产生带来极大的方便。  相似文献

This paper examines spectrum mobility requirements and solutions suitable for deployment in cognitive radio networks. In realistic mobile ad-hoc network scenarios, the hosts usually travel to the pre-specified destinations, and often exhibit non-random motion behaviors. In such mobility patterns, the future motion behavior of the mobile is correlated with its past and current mobility characteristics. Therefore, the memoryless mobility models are not capable of realistically emulating such a mobility behavior. In this paper, an adaptive learning automata-based mobility prediction method is proposed in which the prediction is made based on the Gauss–Markov random process, and exploiting the correlation of the mobility parameters over time. In this prediction method, using a continuous-valued reinforcement scheme, the proposed algorithm learns how to predict the future mobility behaviors relying only on the mobility history. Therefore, it requires no a prior knowledge of the distribution parameters of the mobility characteristics. Furthermore, since in realistic mobile ad hoc networks the mobiles move with a wide variety of the mobility models, the proposed algorithm can be tuned for duplicating a wide spectrum of the mobility patterns with various randomness degrees. Since the proposed method predicts the basic mobility characteristics of the host (i.e., speed, direction and randomness degree), it can be also used to estimate the various ad-hoc network parameters like link availability time, path reliability, route duration and so on. In this paper, the convergence properties of the proposed algorithm are also studied and a strong convergence theorem is presented to show the convergence of the algorithm to the actual characteristics of the mobility model. The simulation results conform to the theoretically expected convergence results and show that the proposed algorithm precisely estimates the motion behaviors.  相似文献

In this paper the authors discuss the modelling and design of an augmented reality platform for disabled wheeled mobility studies. This design consists of a virtual environment with two degrees of freedom motion platform and integrated ground contact force feedback. Differential drive mobility users continue to be in touch with reality on their own mobility aid while interacting with virtual objects. The major domain related to the differential drive mobility of the disabled members of society which coincides with the use of manual wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters. In order to account for environmental and dynamic effects, the wheeled mobility user needs to map the intended trajectory into the virtual world. Motion and inertia force feedback produced on the augmented simulator give the users a haptic sensory stimulus input regarding spatial movement and ground contact forces. The main objective is to model and design an augmented reality platform with real world kinematic and dynamic properties to place a wheeled mobility user closer to real world encounters. The use of the designed augmented reality platform will be beneficial to disabled wheeled mobility users in need of occupational therapist training and evaluation.  相似文献

无线Mesh网是一种新型的无线组网技术,现有的无线移动管理协议还不能在这一网络结构上直接适用.在典型无线mesh网络分层结构模型上,对现有的几种无线网络移动管理协议进行了比较,并且针对无线mesh网的结构特点提出了一种大型无线mesh网络下的移动性管理方案,采用了基于P2P的分层结构实现网络移动定位信息的自动注册、自动管理和快速查询,同时网络具有较好的负载均衡和抗毁性能.仿真结果表明,与传统的分层移动管理协议相比,该方案可以得到更优化的移动路由.  相似文献

Mobile IP is the current standard proposed by IETF for mobility management in IP networks. Mobile node communicating with static correspondent node (CN) has been considered in previous performance studies. We propose the mobility of CN and two additional mobility combinations for Mobile IP in this paper. CN mobility causes performance degradation in an environment with frequent handoffs. A new scheme for Mobile IPv6 called Intelligent Mobile IPv6 is proposed. It is observed through simulation results that the performance of Intelligent Mobile IPv6 is better than Mobile IPv6.  相似文献

在影响MANETs网络性能的众多因素之中,动态变化的网络拓扑结构是不可忽视的一个重要方面,而节点的移动特性是导致MANET网络拓扑变化的主要原因之一,因此研究节点的移动性对网络拓扑结构特性的影响具有重要的意义。采用复杂网络理论研究节点移动性对MANET网络拓扑结构统计特性的影响。介绍复杂网络的基本统计特性参数,通过仿真实验,详细分析了几种经典节点移动模型下,节点移动速度、信号辐射半径、节点密度等参数对MANET网络的平均度、聚类系数和调和平均最短路径长度的影响。结果表明节点的移动方式对MANET网络拓扑结构统计特性产生不同的影响。  相似文献
