In this paper, two different pH sensors based on the deposition of nanometric scale polymeric films onto the surface of a long-period fiber grating (LPFG) have been studied and compared. An electrostatic self-assembled (ESA) method has been used to create sensitive films with an optimal overlay thickness. Two types of sensors have been designed: The first one is based on polyallylamine hydrochloride (PAH), polyacrylic acid (PAA), and the second one was done incorporating the pigment Prussian blue (PB) in the PAH/PAA matrix. A theoretical model of multilayer cylindrical waveguides based on coupled-mode theory has been used to predict the position of the attenuation bands as a function of the overlay thickness. Both sensors were tested and compared in terms of sensitivity and response time. A faster response was obtained with the introduction of PB particles in the polymeric matrix. Linear sensors in the pH range 4-7 were obtained, showing good repeatability and high sensitivity  相似文献

A relative humidity sensor based on the deposition of electrostatic self-assembled alumina ( $hbox{Al}_{2}hbox{O}_{3}$) and poly(sodium 4-styrenesulfonate) on the cladding of a long-period fiber grating (LPFG) has been designed. The sensitive material has a lower refractive index than that of the fiber cladding, which limits the sensitivity of the LPFG response. In order to enhance its sensitivity, a previous high refractive index coating has been deposited. The overlay thickness is of the order of magnitude of the light wavelength used to interrogate the sensor. A theoretical model of multilayer cylindrical waveguides based on coupled-mode theory has been used to predict the phenomenon. Experimentally, an increased wavelength shift of the attenuation bands (75%) was obtained during the fabrication of the sensor, and, what is more important, the sensitivity was improved by a ratio of almost four. The proposed method improves the performance of LPFG-based sensors characterized by overlays of low refractive index.   相似文献

复合材料固化过程对于生产高质量复合材料部件十分必要。文中利用光栅传感器监测树脂传递模塑(RTM)复合材料层板制造过程中内应变及温度,根据复合材料内应变/温度关系曲线的突变点,获得复合材料的材料转变点(凝胶点、玻璃化转变温度)信息。在复合材料降温阶段,利用光栅监测的应变/温度值计算RTM成型复合材料的内层和外层热膨胀系数。监测结果与传统检测方法相比十分一致。  相似文献

The thermal drift of the characteristic wavelength of fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) photowritten in the core of microstructured fibers (MOFs) is significantly reduced by inserting a liquid of suitable refractive index into their holes. For instance, the spectral range of variations is divided by a factor of 4 over a temperature range larger than 20degC in a six-hole MOF, and the maximum sensitivity is reduced. Such passive FBG temperature compensation technique is of great interest for applications involving accurate sensing free of thermal effects.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a new method for distributed wire diagnosis by reflectometry. Distributed diagnosis consists in making reflectometry measurements at several points of a complex network at the same time, thus allowing to solve ambiguities due to the existence of multiple paths. This paper proposes a method for using a pair of identical fiber Bragg gratings to measure the unbalanced strain factor in an isothermal-mechanical system. Cascading two identical fiber Bragg gratings, the unbalanced strain factor caused by the disturbance can be interrogated from the peak difference of the two reflecting Bragg wavelengths. If the mechanical system is in an isothermal environment, the thermal variations in the Bragg grating detection system can be automatically compensated. To verify the feasibility of the unbalanced strain detection using a pair of fiber Bragg gratings, the wall-thinning monitor in a pressure vessel system was investigated. The proposed technique is easy to install, immune to electro-magnetic and thermal interference, and highly sensitive in-time to remote monitoring for fiber optic smart structures.A finite element model (FEM) is used to simulate the wall thinning in a pressure vessel system. A new method for the design of optical fiber refractometric sensors based on nonuniform long-period fiber gratings (LPFGs) is presented. A specialized genetic algorithm (GA) with properly designed operators is a fundamental element of this method and performs the theoretical synthesis of a necessary nonuniform LPFG period profile. Such a profile yields a linear response of the sensor to the refractive index of the external medium. A distinctive feature of the designed LPFG is a linear gradient of the core and cladding refractive index along the grating length. Also, a new mathematical model of nonuniform LPFGs is presented, the model permits to take into account the effect of some LPFG sections of a lower and others of a higher cladding refractive index than that of the external medium. The application of both the design method and the mathematical model is illustrated with a numerical example.  相似文献

本文给出了基金存款策略的数学模型.对于基金M使用n年的情况而言,首先把M分成n份,其中第i(1≤i≤n)份存款xi存期为i年,那么只有当第i(i ≤n-1)份资金按最佳存款策略存款到期后的本息和等于当年的奖学金数,并且第n份资金按最佳存款策略存款n年后的本息和等于原基金M与当年的奖学金数之和时,每年发放的奖学金才能达到最多.通过求解此模型,我们得到了基金的最佳存款策略,并求出了在n=10年,M=5000万元的情况下,基金的最佳使用方案.在可存款也可购买国库券时,采取一种转化方法,将国库券购买情况转化为相应年期的定期存款,结合问题(一)即可求得在n=10年,M=5000万元的情况下,基金的最佳使用方案;在第三年校庆时奖学金数额比其它年度多20%的问题的分析方法和模型的解决方法与前相同.  相似文献

To enable the application of optical fiber sensors to aerospace vehicles, the sensor interrogation or data acquisition system has to meet small size and low weight requirements. This paper presents the developmental work of an echelle diffractive gratings (EDGs) demultiplexer-based optical fiber sensor interrogation system. The operation principle of this system and its application to fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensor interrogation are presented. The experimental results have shown that the developed interrogator (not including the electronic controller) weighs less than 60 g and provides better than 1 pm measurement resolution and better than plusmn10 pm measurement accuracy.  相似文献

A system for the interrogation of fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors using a strain-tuned EDF laser with linear cavity is described. An optical switch is spliced to one end of the laser cavity and connects one of two high-strength draw-tower fiber Bragg gratings (DTGs). The gratings are simultaneously tuned by a stretching device and act as the end reflector of the laser cavity. By applying a ramp signal to the actuator synchronized to the optical switch, the laser signal sweeps over two different wavelength intervals, depending on the connected DTG. This approach represents a hybrid wavelength-time-domain interrogation for multiplexed sensors and doubles the number of sensors that may be addressed when compared with single DTG scanning. In addition, the use of the DTG allows a fivefold increase in the strain tuned wavelength interval over standard fiber Bragg gratings. An example application is demonstrated where temperature inside an electrical motor is measured during operation.  相似文献

光纤陀螺输出信号中存在较大的高频噪声,这降低了光纤陀螺姿态系统的解算精度。为此对信号进行多重积分,求取一个计算周期内载体姿态变化的旋转矢量表达式,从而得到一种新的信号处理方法,并讨论了其工程实现方案。仿真表明,与传统四元数算法比较,该方法在解算系统姿态的同时,能够较好地平滑噪声的影响。  相似文献

对LAMOST光纤定位系统中球冠状焦面板上4000个光纤头位置的检测,要求检测系统检测速度快、精度高,为此采用极坐标旋转扫描装置进行检测。检测装置包括角度传感器和绕球冠状焦面板中心旋转的圆弧形扫描梁,后者由多片线阵CCD软拼接而成,其数据用并行主从结构进行采集与处理。采用“光重心法”对光纤出射光斑信号进行处理,获取光纤端部的位置特征。  相似文献

The time-domain reflectometry (TDR) method is used for the measurement of moisture profiles in calcium silicate during a drying experiment. The specimens are saturated at first by water, and their lateral sides and one of the face sides are water- and vapor-proof insulated to ensure one-dimensional (1-D) water transport. Then, the drying process is started in an environment with a relative humidity of 20%. Moisture profiles are measured at specified time intervals using the TDR method. The experiment is stopped when the moisture content along the whole length of the sample is lower than the maximum hygroscopic moisture content. The obtained results can be used for the determination of moisture diffusivity in the drying phase of moisture transport.  相似文献

A new method of constructing ultrasonic images in layered media is proposed that is based on the radiation and reception of plane pulsed waves at various angles. Upon passage via a set of layers, plane pulsed waves do not change their shape and direction in the imaged region, which eliminates the need for detailed analysis of wave propagation in intermediate layers. It is shown that, in the absence of a priori information on the thicknesses and acoustical parameters of layers or the results of their measurement, the proposed method allows images to be obtained at a spatial resolution corresponding to the theoretical limit.  相似文献

The conical diffraction mounting in which the direction of incident light belongs to a plane parallel to the direction of the grooves has the unique property of maintaining high diffraction efficiency, even in the extreme-ultraviolet (EUV) region. This property is useful for designing high-throughput time-delay-compensated monochromators for the spectral selection of ultrashort EUV pulses as the high-order harmonics generated by the interaction between an ultrashort laser pulse and a gas jet. The time compensation allows one to exploit the femtosecond scale duration of the harmonics both to have high intensity and to reach an unprecedented temporal resolution for pump and probe experiments. Because two gratings have to be used for time compensation, the high diffraction efficiency becomes an essential requirement, which can be fulfilled by the conical diffraction mounting. Measurements recently accomplished at the Bending Magnet for Emission Absorption and Reflectivity (BEAR) beam line (ELETTRA Synchrotron, Trieste, Italy) for three gratings in the 10-90 nm region are reported here that show a peak efficiency of as much as 0.7 in the first order. A model computing the electromagnetic propagation and the grating efficiency, implemented and tested with the experimental data, permits the study and design of rather complex systems operating in the conical mounting. When the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is combined with the Internet of Things (IoT), it can be employed in a wide range of applications, such as agriculture, industry 4.0, health care, smart homes, among others. Accessing the big data generated by these applications in Cloud Servers (CSs), requires higher levels of authenticity and confidentiality during communication conducted through the Internet. Signcryption is one of the most promising approaches nowadays for overcoming such obstacles, due to its combined nature, i.e., signature and encryption. A number of researchers have developed schemes to address issues related to access control in the IoT literature, however, the majority of these schemes are based on homogeneous nature. This will be neither adequate nor practical for heterogeneous IoT environments. In addition, these schemes are based on bilinear pairing and elliptic curve cryptography, which further requires additional processing time and more communication overheads that is inappropriate for real-time communication. Consequently, this paper aims to solve the above-discussed issues, we proposed an access control scheme for IoT environments using heterogeneous signcryption scheme with the efficiency and security hardiness of hyperelliptic curve. Besides the security services such as replay attack prevention, confidentiality, integrity, unforgeability, non-repudiations, and forward secrecy, the proposed scheme has very low computational and communication costs, when it is compared to existing schemes. This is primarily because of hyperelliptic curve lighter nature of key and other parameters. The AVISPA tool is used to simulate the security requirements of our proposed scheme and the results were under two backbends (Constraint Logic-based Attack Searcher (CL-b-AtSER) and On-the-Fly Model Checker (ON-t-FL-MCR)) proved to be SAFE when the presented scheme is coded in HLPSL language. This scheme was proven to be capable of preventing a variety of attacks, including confidentiality, integrity, unforgeability, non-repudiation, forward secrecy, and replay attacks.
