Two New Standards Further Enhanced the Authenticity of Food Labels

The Accreditation of Laboratories Proficiency and Safety

Recently, China National Accreditation Board for Laboratories (CNAL) has released CNAL/AC23:2004 Medical Laboratories: Accreditation Criteria For Quality and Proficiency, and meanwhile GB 19489 Laboratories: General Requirements For Biosafety and ISO 15190 Medical Laboratories-Requirements For Safetywill be adopted by CNAL as the accreditation criteria for laboratories safety.

The Analysis of National Standard on Criteria for Performance Excellence

National Standard Criteria for Performance Excellence, which was promulgated recently, is the foundation of organizational self-assessment and various quality evaluation. This Standard is put forward according to the advanced experiences of overseas quality awards, while combining with the Countrywide Quality Award carried out by China Association for Quality and quality management awards in some provinces or cities. The Standard Auditing Decision has indicated that the Standard forms Chinese-characteristic Criteria for Performance Excellence which achieves the coordinative level of major foreign Performance Excellence's management standards.

Application of Fuzzy QFD to Aircraft Top Hierarchy Design

In this paper, bused on the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method, the Fuzzy Quality Function Deployment (FQFD) theory and the step-by-step hierarchy structure in aircraft top decision design are studied. The fuzzy model for computing competitive factor in evaluation is presented. The decision of key technologies for improving the performance and affordability of a fixed-wing aircraft is studied using the model, and the result proves the feasibility of this model.     

The First Complusory National Standard on Automobile Fuel Consumption Issued

On October 28th, hosted by the General Adminis tration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China (AQSIQ) and Standardization Administration of China (SAC), the press conference of the compulsory national standard Limits of Fuel Consumption for Passenger Cars (GB 19578-2004) was held in Beijing. The national standard was approved by AQSIQ and SAC on September 2nd 2004 and will be formally implemented on July 1st 2005.
