We formulate a model for hybrid dynamical systems with delay, which covers a large class of delay systems. Under several mild assumptions, we establish sufficient conditions for uniform asymptotic stability of hybrid dynamical systems with delay via a Lyapunov-Razumikhin technique. To demonstrate the developed theory, we conduct stability analyses for delay sampled-data feedback control systems including a nonlinear continuous-time plant and a linear discrete-time controller.  相似文献

We first formulate a model for hybrid dynamical systems which covers a very large class of systems and which is suitable for the qualitative analysis of such systems. Next, we introduce the notion of an invariant set for hybrid dynamical systems and we define several types of (Lyapunov-like) stability concepts for an invariant set. We then establish sufficient conditions for uniform stability, uniform asymptotic stability, exponential stability, and instability of an invariant set of hybrid dynamical systems. Under some mild additional assumptions, we also establish necessary conditions for some of the above stability types (converse theorems). In addition to the above, we also establish sufficient conditions for the uniform boundedness of the motions of hybrid dynamical systems (Lagrange stability). To demonstrate the applicability of the developed theory, we present specific examples of hybrid dynamical systems and we conduct a stability analysis of some of these examples  相似文献

In this paper the concepts of dissipativity and the exponential dissipativity are used to provide sufficient conditions for guaranteeing asymptotic stability of a time delay dynamical system. Specifically, representing a time delay dynamical system as a negative feedback interconnection of a finite‐dimensional linear dynamical system and an infinite‐dimensional time delay operator, we show that the time delay operator is dissipative with respect to a quadratic supply rate and with a storage functional involving an integral term identical to the integral term appearing in standard Lyapunov–Krasovskii functionals. Finally, using stability of feedback interconnection results for dissipative systems, we develop sufficient conditions for asymptotic stability of time delay dynamical systems. The overall approach provides a dissipativity theoretic interpretation of Lyapunov–Krasovskii functionals for asymptotically stable dynamical systems with arbitrary time delay. We investigate the qualitative properties of a general class of contractive dynamical systems with time delay by using a unified analysis approach for any p-contraction with p in [1,infinity]. It is proved that the delayed contractive dynamical system is always globally exponentially stable no matter how large the time delay is, while the rate of convergence of the delayed system is reduced as the time delay increases. A lower bound on the rate of convergence of the delayed contractive dynamical system is obtained, which is the unique positive solution of a nonlinear equation with three parameters, namely, the time delay, the time constant and the p-contraction constant in the system. We show that the previously established results in the literature about the global asymptotic or exponential stability independent of delay for Hopfield-type neural networks can actually be deduced by recasting the network model into the general framework of contractive dynamical systems with some p-contraction (p in [1,infinity]) under the given delay-independent stability conditions. Numerical simulation examples are also presented to illustrate the obtained theoretical results.  相似文献

In this work we introduce a type of hybrid equation closely related to those that appear when a digital controller or a hybrid controller of a certain class is interconnected with a full non-linear continuous-time system. For these equations we obtain results concerning existence, uniqueness and noncontinuability of solutions. This results are used to study the behaviour of the hybrid dynamical systems associated with those equations. We establish relationships between the stability of these hybrid dynamical systems and the ones corresponding to their associated discretized systems on one hand, and to their associated linearized systems on the other. We also characterize their stability, uniform asymptotic stability and exponential stability. These results are applied to the exponential stabilization of a non-linear control system by digital or hybrid controllers.  相似文献

Motivated by questions in stability theory for hybrid dynamical systems, we establish some fundamental properties of the set of solutions to such systems. Using the notion of a hybrid time domain and general results on set and graphical convergence, we establish under weak regularity and local boundedness assumptions that the set of solutions is sequentially compact and “upper semicontinuous” with respect to initial conditions and system perturbations. The general facts are then used to establish several results for the behavior of hybrid systems that have asymptotically stable compact sets. These results parallel what is already known for differential inclusions and difference inclusions. For example, the basin of attraction for a compact attractor is (relatively) open, the attractivity is uniform from compact subsets of the basin of attraction, and asymptotic stability is robust with respect to small perturbations.  相似文献

We consider the problem of robust stability of a class of uncertain nonlinear dynamical systems with time-varying delay. Based on the assumption that the nominal system (i.e. the system in the absence of uncertainty and delay) is stable, we derive some sufficient conditions on robust stability of uncertain nonlinear dynamical systems with time-varying delay. Some analytical methods and the Bellman-Gronwall inequality are used to investigate such sufficient conditions. The notable features of the results obtained in this paper are their simplicity in testing the stability of uncertain dynamical systems with delay and their clarity in giving an insight into system analysis. Our results are also applicable to perturbed time-delay dynamical systems without exact knowledge of the delay. In addition, a numerical example is given to demonstrate the validity of our results.  相似文献

Nonnegative and compartmental dynamical system models are derived from mass and energy balance considerations and involve the exchange of nonnegative quantities between subsystems or compartments. These models are widespread in biological and physical sciences and play a key role in understanding these processes. A key physical limitation of such systems is that transfers between compartments is not instantaneous and realistic models for capturing the dynamics of such systems should account for material in transit between compartments. In this paper, we present necessary and sufficient conditions for stability of nonnegative and compartmental dynamical systems with time delay. Specifically, asymptotic stability conditions for linear and nonlinear nonnegative dynamical systems with time delay are established using linear Lyapunov–Krasovskii functionals.  相似文献

Nonnegative and compartmental dynamical system models are derived from mass and energy balance considerations that involve dynamic states whose values are nonnegative. These models are widespread in engineering and life sciences and typically involve the exchange of nonnegative quantities between subsystems or compartments wherein each compartment is assumed to be kinetically homogeneous. However, in many engineering and life science systems, transfers between compartments are not instantaneous and realistic models for capturing the dynamics of such systems should account for material in transit between compartments. Including some information of past system states in the system model leads to infinite-dimensional delay nonnegative dynamical systems. In this note, we develop dissipativity theory for nonnegative dynamical systems with time delay using linear storage functionals with linear supply rates. These results are then used to develop general stability criteria for feedback interconnections of nonnegative dynamical systems with time delay.  相似文献

We address the stability analysis of composite hybrid dynamical feedback systems of the type depicted in Fig. 1, consisting of a block (usually the plant) which is described by an operatorLand of a finite-dimensional block described by a system of difference equations (usually a digital controller). We establish results for the well-posedness, attractivity, asymptotic stability, uniform boundedness, asymptotic stability in the large, and exponential stability in the large for such systems. The hypotheses of our results are phrased in terms of the I/O properties ofLand in terms of the Lyapunov stability properties of the subsystem described by the indicated difference equations. In this paper we deal with a class of uncertain time-varying nonlinear systems with a state delay. Under some assumptions, we construct some stabilizing continuous feedback, i.e. linear and nonlinear in the state, which can guarantee global uniform exponential stability and global uniform practical convergence of the considered system. The quadratic Lyapunov function for the nominal stable system is used as a Lyapunov candidate function for the global system. The results developed in this note are applicable to a class of dynamical systems with uncertain time-delay. Our result is illustrated by a numerical example.  相似文献

In this paper, a new adaptive robust control scheme is developed for a class of uncertain dynamical systems with time‐varying state delay, unknown parameters and disturbances. By incorporating adaptive techniques into the robust control method, we propose a continuous adaptive robust controller which guarantees the uniform boundedness of the system and at the same time, the regulating error enters an arbitrarily designated zone in a finite time. The proposed controller is independent of the time‐delay, hence it is applicable to a class of dynamical systems with uncertain time delays. The paper includes simulation studies demonstrating the performance of the proposed control scheme.  相似文献

We consider continuous‐time switched linear systems associated with linear state reset during mode switches, which are called linear hybrid systems and can be commonly found in switched control systems via bumpless transfer during controller switches. We use a multiple Lyapunov functions approach to develop constructive tools for stability analysis of linear hybrid systems. In particular, we derive a linear‐matrix‐inequalities based procedure to compute upper bounds of dwell time for uniform global exponential stability in linear hybrid systems, and we apply it to a refrigeration process that is regulated by several switched proportional‐integral controllers via bumpless transfer. The Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) model of fuzzy delay systems with impulse is first presented in this paper. By means of classical analysis methods and Razumikhin technique, the criteria of uniform stability and uniform asymptotic stability for T-S fuzzy delay systems with impulse are obtained, respectively.
