Structural, redox and catalytic deep oxidation properties of LaAl1−xMnxO3 (x=0.0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0) solid solutions prepared by the citrate method and calcined at 1073 K were investigated. XRD analysis showed that all the LaAl1−xMnxO3 samples are single phase perovskite-type solid solutions. Particle sizes and surface areas (SA) are in the 280–1180 Å and 4–33 m2 g−1 ranges, respectively. Redox properties and the content of Mn4+ were derived from temperature programmed reduction (TPR) with H2. Two reduction steps are observed by TPR for pure LaMnO3, the first attributed to the reduction of Mn4+ to Mn3+ and the second due to complete reduction of Mn3+ to Mn2+. The presence of Al in the LaAl1−xMnxO3 solid solutions produces a strong promoting effect on the Mn4+→Mn3+ reducibility and inhibits the further reduction to Mn2+. Both for methane combustion and CO oxidation all Mn-containing perovskites are much more active than LaAlO3, so pointing to the essential role of the transition metal ion in developing highly active catalysts. Partial dilution with Al appears to enhance the specific activity of Mn sites for methane combustion.  相似文献

The surface of spinel LiMn2O4 was modified with TiO2 by a simple sol–gel method to improve its electrochemical performance at elevated temperatures and higher working potentials. Compared with pristine LiMn2O4, surface-modification improved the cycling stability of the material. The capacity retention of TiO2-modified LiMn2O4 was more than 85% after 60 cycles at high potential cycles between 3.0 and 4.8 V at room temperature and near to 90% after 30 cycles at elevated temperature of 55 °C at 1C charge–discharge rate. SEM studies shows that the surface morphology of TiO2-modified LiMn2O4 was different from that of pristine LiMn2O4. Powder X-ray diffraction indicated that spinel was the only detected phase in TiO2-modified LiMn2O4. Introduction of Ti into LiMn2O4 changed the electronic structures of the particle surface. Therefore a surface solid compound of LiTixMn2−xO4 may be formed on LiMn2O4. The improved electrochemical performance of surface-modified LiMn2O4 was attributed to the improved stability of crystalline structure and the higher Li+ conductivity.  相似文献

A novel process called Liquid Source Misted Chemical Deposition (LSMCD) was used to synthesize Al-doped LiMn2O4 cathode films for Lithium microbatteries. The cathode films were characterized by XRD, SEM, cyclic volatmmetry, and charge/discharge test. LiMn1.8Al0.2O4 film crystallized at 800 °C in rapid thermal annealing (RTA) for 5 min under oxygen atmosphere exhibited more improved electrochemical rechargeability than spinel LiMn2O4 film because the substitution of Al3+ for Mn3+ increased Mn---O bonding strength in the spinel framework and suppressed the two-phase behavior of the unsubstituted spinel during the intercalation/deintercalation that is the origin of the failure mechanism in the 4 V region. As a result, LiMn1.8Al0.2O4 film showed an initial discharge capacity of 52 μAh/cm2 μm and no capacity fade over 100 cycles.  相似文献

Mixed oxides of general formulae TayNb1−yO5 (0<y<1) have been synthesized by a modified sol–gel method. Characterization of the samples has been carried out by x-ray diffraction, SEM/EDX, FTIR spectroscopy and thermal analysis. The electrochemical properties have been studied in a lithium cell. The first discharge capacity decrease from 206 (y=0.25) to 136 mA h g−1 (y=0.75). TayNb1−yO5 samples undergo an irreversible structural changes induced by electrochemical Li+-insertion. For all compositions, the new compounds formed after the first discharge has a very high cyclability, as shown the low capacity loss <1% per cycle.  相似文献

Layered -titanate materials, NaxMx/2Ti1−x/2O2 (M=Co, Ni and Fe, x=0.2–0.4), were synthesized by flux reactions, and electrical properties of polycrystalline products were measured at 300–800 °C. After sintering at 1250 °C in Ar, all products show n-type thermoelectric behavior. The values of both d.c. conductivity and Seebeck coefficient of polycrystalline Na0.4Ni0.2Ti0.8O2 were ca. 7×103 S/m and ca. −193 μV/K around 700 °C, respectively. The measured thermal conductivity of layered -titanate materials has lower value than conductive oxide materials. It was ca. 1.5 Wm−1 K−1 at 800 °C. The estimated thermoelectric figure-of-merit, Z, of Na0.4Ni0.2Ti0.8O2 and Na0.4Co0.2Ti0.8O2 was about 1.9×10−4 and 1.2×10−4 K−1 around 700 °C, respectively.  相似文献

Catalytic methane combustion and CO oxidation were investigated over AFeO3 (A=La, Nd, Sm) and LaFe1−xMgxO3 (x=0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5) perovskites prepared by citrate method and calcined at 1073 K. The catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Redox properties and the content of Fe4+ were derived from temperature programmed reduction (TPR). Specific surface areas (SA) of perovskites were in 2.3–9.7 m2 g−1 range. XRD analysis showed that LaFeO3, NdFeO3, SmFeO3 and LaFe1−xMgxO3 (x·0.3) are single phase perovskite-type oxides. Traces of La2O3, in addition to the perovskite phase, were detected in the LaFe1−xMgxO3 catalysts with x=0.4 and 0.5. TPR gave evidence of the presence in AFeO3 of a very small fraction of Fe4+ which reduces to Fe3+. The fraction of Fe4+ in the LaFe1−xMgxO3 samples increased with increasing magnesium content up to x=0.2, then it remained nearly constant. Catalytic activity tests showed that all samples gave methane and CO complete conversion with 100% selectivity to CO2 below 973 and 773 K, respectively. For the AFeO3 materials the order of activity towards methane combustion is La>Nd>Sm, whereas the activity, per unit SA, of the LaFe1−xMgxO3 catalysts decreases with the amount of Mg at least for the catalysts showing a single perovskite phase (x=0.3). Concerning the CO oxidation, the order of activity for the AFeO3 materials is Nd>La>Sm, while the activity (per unit SA) of the LaFe1−xMgxO3 catalysts decreases at high magnesium content.  相似文献

Perovskites of different La1−xSrxAl1−yyFeyMgyO3−δ compositions (x=0, 0.1, 0.15, 0.2 and y=0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.8) were prepared from a reactive precursor slurry of hydrated oxides. Each sample was aged between 16 and 26 h up to 1473 K. Activity in methane combustion (1%/air) was determined in a plug-flow reactor, with 1 g catalyst and 24 l/h flowrate. Gradual decrease in activity due to thermal aging was observed, the degree of activity loss being composition dependent. Nevertheless, activity of samples aged at 1370 K was nearly independent of composition. The best thermal stability showed LaAl0.65Fe0.15Mg0.2O3 perovskite. None of the magnesium substituted perovskites performed better than a La0.85Sr0.15Al0.87Fe0.13O3 reference sample.  相似文献

Nanometer perovskite-type oxides La1−xSrxMO3−δ (M = Co, Mn; x = 0, 0.4) have been prepared using the citric acid complexing-hydrothermal-coupled method and characterized by means of techniques, such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), BET, high-resolution scanning electron microscopy (HRSEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), temperature-programmed desorption (TPD), and temperature-programmed reduction (TPR). The catalytic performance of these nanoperovskites in the combustion of ethylacetate (EA) has also been evaluated. The XRD results indicate that all the samples possessed single-phase rhombohedral crystal structures. The surface areas of these nanomaterials ranged from 20 to 33 m2 g−1, the achievement of such high surface areas are due to the uniform morphology with the typical particle size of 40–80 nm (as can be clearly seen in their HRSEM images) that were derived with the citric acid complexing-hydrothermally coupled strategy. The XPS results demonstrate the presence of Mn4+ and Mn3+ in La1−xSrxMnO3−δ and Co3+ and Co2+ in La1−xSrxCoO3−δ, Sr substitution induced the rises in Mn4+ and Co3+ concentrations; adsorbed oxygen species (O, O2, or O22−) were detected on the catalyst surfaces. The O2-TPD profiles indicate that Sr doping increased desorption of the adsorbed oxygen and lattice oxygen species at low temperatures. The H2-TPR results reveal that the nanoperovskite catalysts could be reduced at much lower temperatures (<240 °C) after Sr doping. It is observed that under the conditions of EA concentration = 1000 ppm, EA/oxygen molar ratio = 1/400, and space velocity = 20,000 h−1, the catalytic activity (as reflected by the temperature (T100%) for EA complete conversion) increased in the order of LaCoO2.91 (T100% = 230 °C) ≈ LaMnO3.12 (T100% = 235 °C) < La0.6Sr0.4MnO3.02 (T100% = 190 °C) < La0.6Sr0.4CoO2.78 (T100% = 175 °C); furthermore, there were no formation of partially oxidized by-products over these catalysts. Based on the above results, we conclude that the excellent catalytic performance is associated with the high surface areas, good redox properties (derived from higher Mn4+/Mn3+ and Co3+/Co2+ ratios), and rich lattice defects of the nanostructured La1−xSrxMO3−δ materials.  相似文献

Bi0.5(Na1−xyKxAgy)0.5TiO3 piezoelectric ceramics were prepared by conventional ceramic processes. X-ray diffraction patterns show a pure perovskite structure, indicating that the K+ and Ag+ ions substitute for the Na+ ions in Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3. The temperature dependence of the dielectric constant and dissipation factor shows all ceramics to experience two phase transitions: from ferroelectric to anti-ferroelectric and from anti-ferroelectric to paraelectric. The transition temperature from ferroelectric to anti-ferroelectric and the temperature at which the dielectric constant reaches its maximum value decrease with the increase of K+ amount. At room temperature, the ceramics containing 17.5–20 mol% K+ and 2 mol% Ag+ exhibit high piezoelectric constant (d33 = 180 pC/N) and high electromechanical coupling factor (kp = 35%).  相似文献

Water–gas shift reaction was studied over two nanostructured CuxCe1−xO2−y catalysts: a Cu0.1Ce0.9O2−y catalyst prepared by a sol–gel method and a Cu0.2Ce0.8O2−y catalyst prepared by co-precipitation method. A commercial low temperature water–gas shift CuO–ZnO–Al2O3 catalyst was used as reference. The kinetics was studied in a plug flow micro reactor at an atmospheric pressure in the temperature interval between 298 and 673 K at two different space velocities: 5.000 and 30.000 h−1, respectively. Experimentally estimated activation energy, Eaf, of the forward water–gas shift reaction at CO/H2O = 1/3 was 51 kJ/mol over the Cu0.1Ce0.9O2−y, 34 kJ/mol over the Cu0.2Ce0.8O2−y and 47 kJ/mol over the CuO–ZnO–Al2O3 catalyst. A simple rate expression approximating the water–gas shift process as a single reversible surface reaction was used to fit the experimental data in order to evaluate the rate constants of the forward and backward reactions and of the activation energy for the backward reaction.  相似文献

LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 and LiMn2O4 with novel spinel morphology were synthesized by a hydrothermal and post-calcination process. The synthesized LiMn2O4 particles (5-10 μm) are uniform hexahedron, while the LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 has spindle-like morphology with the long axis 10-15 μm, short axis 5-8 μm. Both LiMn2O4 and LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 show high capacity when used as cathode materials for Li-ion batteries. In the voltage range of 2.5-5.5 V at room temperature, the LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 has a high discharge capacity of 135.04 mA·h·g-1 at 20 mA·g-1, which is close to 147 mA·h·g-1 (theoretical capacity of LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4). The discharge capacity of LiMn2O4 is 131.08 mA·h·g-1 at 20 mA·g-1. Moreover, the LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 shows a higher capacity retention (76%) compared to that of LiMn2O4 (61%) after 50 cycles. The morphology and structure of LiMn2O4 and LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 are well kept even after cycling as demonstrated by SEM and XRD on cycled LiMn2O4 and LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 electrodes.  相似文献

The weight and plaque diameter change following trermal treatment, and the density and lattice constant of lithium-rich LixNi1−xO solid solutions obtained by heat treatment at 750°C of Li2CO3---LiyNi1−yO (y < x) mixtures were measured as a function of time. It was found that densification of the solid solutions depends on the method of obtaining the Li2CO3---LiyNi1−yO mixtures. When a large amount of carbonate is put into the starting mixtures Ni---Li2CO3-binder, and the powders are milled together, sintering occurs; in contrast, when the carbonate is added after the formation of LiyNi1−yO solid solution, so that the interstices of the plaque are filled with molten carbonate, the resulting mixtures exhibit no densification. For densification to occur, Li2CO3 must be in intimate contact with the lithium-doped NiO grains.  相似文献

Mixed oxides of the general formula La0.5SrxCeyFeOz were prepared by using the nitrate method and characterized by XRD and Mössbauer techniques. The crystal phases detected were perovskites LaFeO3 and SrFeO3−x and oxides -Fe2O3 and CeO2 depending on x and y values. The low surface area ceramic materials have been tested for the NO+CO and NO+CH4+O2 (“lean-NOx”) reactions in the temperature range 250–550°C. A noticeable enhancement in NO conversion was achieved by the substitution of La3+ cation at A-site with divalent Sr+2 and tetravalent Ce+4 cations. Comparison of the activity of the present and other perovskite-type materials has pointed out that the ability of the La0.5SrxCeyFeOz materials to reduce NO by CO or by CH4 under “lean-NOx” conditions is very satisfying. In particular, for the NO+CO reaction estimation of turnover frequencies (TOFs, s−1) at 300°C (based on NO chemisorption) revealed values comparable to Rh/-Al2O3 catalyst. This is an important result considering the current tendency for replacing the very active but expensive Rh and Pt metals. It was found that there is a direct correlation between the percentage of crystal phases containing iron in La0.5SrxCeyFeOz solids and their catalytic activity. O2 TPD (temperature-programmed desorption) and NO TPD studies confirmed that the catalytic activity for both tested reactions is related to the defect positions in the lattice of the catalysts (e.g., oxygen vacancies, cationic defects). Additionally, a remarkable oscillatory behavior during O2 TPD studies was observed for the La0.5Sr0.2Ce0.3FeOz and La0.5Sr0.5FeOz solids.  相似文献

In this work, different procedures, namely carbonate coprecipitation and modified solid–solid diffusion, were used to prepare hexaaluminate samples, unsupported or supported onto θ-Al2O3. These samples were used as catalyst for the methane total oxidation as synthesized or after impregnation of 1 wt% Pd. It was observed that the modified solid–solid diffusion procedure is an efficient method to obtain the hexaaluminate structure. At a theoretical ratio x of hexaaluminate onto Al2O3 less than 0.6 (xLa0.2Sr0.3Ba0.5MnAl11O19 + (1−x)·Al2O3, with x = 0.25, 0.60), samples with high specific surface area and θ-Al2O3 structure are then obtained. Large differences in catalytic activity can be observed among the series of sample synthesized. All the pure oxide samples (i.e. without palladium) present low catalytic activity for methane total oxidation compared to a reference Pd/Al2O3 catalyst. The highest activity was obtained for the samples presenting a θ-Al2O3 structure (with x = 0.60) and a high surface area. Impregnation of 1 wt% palladium resulted in an increase in catalytic activity, for all the solids synthesized in this work. Even if the lowest light-off temperature was obtained on the reference sample, similar methane conversions at high temperature (700 °C) were obtained on the stabilized θ-Al2O3 solids (x = 0.25, 0.60). Moreover, the reference sample is found to strongly deactivate with reaction time at the temperature of test (700 °C), due to a progressive reduction of the PdOx active phase into the less active Pd° phase, whereas excellent stabilities in reaction were obtained on the pure and palladium-doped hexaaluminate and supported θ-Al2O3 samples. This clearly showed the beneficial effect of the support for the stabilization of the PdOx active phase at high reaction temperature. These properties are discussed in term of oxygen transfer from the support to the palladium particle. Oxygen transfer is directly related to the Mn3+/Mn2+ redox properties (in the case of the hexaaluminate and stabilized θ-Al2O3 samples), that allows a fast reoxidation of the metal palladium sites since palladium sites reoxidation cannot occur directly by gaseous dioxygen adsorption and dissociation on the surface.  相似文献

LaxSr2−xMnO4 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.8) oxides were synthesized and single-phase K2NiF4-type oxides were obtained in the range of 0.1 ≤ x < 0.5. The catalytic activity of LaxSr2−xMnO4 for NO–CO reaction increased with increasing x in the range of solubility limit of La. La0.5Sr1.5MnO4 showed the highest activity among LaxSr2−xMnO4 prepared in this study, but its activity was inferior to perovskite-type La0.5Sr0.5MnO3. Among the Pd-loaded catalysts, however, Pd/La0.8Sr1.2MnO4 showed the higher activity and the selectivity to N2 than Pd/La0.5Sr0.5MnO3 and Pd/γ-Al2O3. The excellent catalytic performance of Pd/La0.2Sr1.2MnO4 could be ascribable to the formation of SrPd3O4 which was detected by XRD in the catalyst but not in the other two catalysts.  相似文献

Ceramics with a composition close to BaZn2Ti4O11 were synthesized according to various substitutional mechanisms in order to verify an existence of a homogeneity range in the vicinity of this composition. Structural and microstructural investigations showed that the crystal structure of BaZn2Ti4O11 was formed in the homogeneity range corresponding to the formula BaZn2 − xTi4O11 − x (0 < x < 0.1). Densely sintered BaZn2 − xTi4O11 − x (0 < x < 0.1) ceramics exhibited a dielectric constant around 30, τf = −30 ppm/K and high Q × f values, which increased from 68,000 GHz at x = 0 to 83,000 GHz at x = 0.05. Structurally, the deficiency of Zn in BaZn2 − xTi4O11 − x (0 < x < 0.1) resulted in a slight decrease in the unit-cell volume. The influence of secondary phases in the BaZn2Ti4O11-based materials on the microwave dielectric properties was also investigated. A presence of small amounts of ZnO, BaTiO3, hollandite-type solid solutions (BaxZnxTi8 − xO16) and BaTi4O9 caused a decrease in Q × f values.  相似文献

Direct nitric oxide decomposition over perovskites is fairly slow and complex, its mechanism changing dramatically with temperature. Previous kinetic study for three representative compositions (La0.87Sr0.13Mn0.2Ni0.8O3−δ, La0.66Sr0.34Ni0.3Co0.7O3−δ and La0.8Sr0.2Cu0.15Fe0.85O3−δ) has shown that depending on the temperature range, the inhibition effect of oxygen either increases or decreases with temperature. This paper deals with the effect of CO2, H2O and CH4 on the nitric oxide decomposition over the same perovskites studied at a steady-state in a plug-flow reactor with 1 g catalyst and total flowrates of 50 or 100 ml/min of 2 or 5% NO. The effect of carbon dioxide (0.5–10%) was evaluated between 873 and 923 K, whereas that of H2O vapor (1.6 or 2.5%) from 723 to 923 K. Both CO2 and H2O inhibit the NO decomposition, but inhibition by CO2 is considerably stronger. For all three catalysts, these effects increase with temperature. Kinetic parameters for the inhibiting effects of CO2 and H2O over the three perovskites were determined. Addition of methane to the feed (NO/CH4=4) increases conversion of NO to N2 about two to four times, depending on the initial NO concentration and on temperature. This, however, is still much too low for practical applications. Furthermore, the rates of methane oxidation by nitric oxide over perovskites are substantially slower than those of methane oxidation by oxygen. Thus, perovskites do not seem to be suitable for catalytic selective NO reduction with methane.  相似文献

Supported Au catalysts Au-Au+-Clx/Fe(OH)y (x < 4, y ≤ 3) and Au-Clx/Fe2O3 prepared with co-precipitation without any washing to remove Cl and without calcining or calcined at 400 °C were studied. It was found that the presence of Cl had little impact on the activity over the unwashed and uncalcined catalysts; however, the activity for CO oxidation would be greatly reduced only after Au-Au+-Clx/Fe(OH)y was further calcined at elevated temperatures, such as 400 °C. XPS investigation showed that Au in catalyst without calcining was composed of Au and Au+, while after calcined at 400 °C it reduced to Au0 completely. It also showed that catalysts precipitated at 70 °C could form more Au+ species than that precipitated at room temperatures. Results of XRD and TEM characterizations indicated that without calcining not only the Au nano-particles but also the supports were highly dispersed, while calcined at 400 °C, the Au nano-particles aggregated and the supports changed to lump sinter. Results of UV–vis observation showed that the Fe(NO3)3 and HAuCl4 hydrolyzed partially to form Fe(OH)3 and [AuClx(OH)4−x] (x = 1–3), respectively, at 70 °C, and such pre-partially hydrolyzed iron and gold species and the possible interaction between them during the hydrolysis may be favorable for the formation of more active precursor and to avoid the formation of Au–Cl bonds. Results of computer simulation showed that the reaction molecular of CO or O2 were more easily adsorbed on Au+ and Au0, but was very difficultly absorbed on Au. It also indicated that when Cl was adsorbed on Au0, the Au atom would mostly take a negative electric charge, which would restrain the adsorption of the reaction molecular severely and restrain the subsequent reactions while when Cl was adsorbed on Au+ there only a little of the Au atom take negative electric charge, which resulting a little impact on the activity.  相似文献

A series of the Ce1−xCuxO2−x/Al2O3/FeCrAl catalysts (x = 0–1) were prepared. The structure of the catalysts was characterized using XRD, SEM and H2-TPR. The catalytic activity of the catalysts for the combustion of methane was evaluated. The results indicated that in the Ce1−xCuxO2−x/Al2O3/FeCrAl catalysts the surface phase structure were the Ce1−xCuxO2−x solid solution, -Al2O3 and γ-Al2O3. The surface particle shape and size were different with the variety of the molar ratio of Ce to Cu in the Ce1−xCuxO2−x solid solution. The Cu component of the Ce1−xCuxO2−x/Al2O3/FeCrAl catalysts played an important role to the catalytic activity for the methane combustion. There were the stronger interaction among the Ce1−xCuxO2−x solid solution and the Al2O3 washcoats and the FeCrAl support.  相似文献

Solid solutions belonging to the Mn-rich region of the YCuxMn1–xO3 system have been studied. The powders were prepared by solid-state reaction between the corresponding oxides. Sintered ceramics were obtained by firing at 1100–1325 °C. The incorporation of 30 at.% Cu to the yttrium manganite induces the formation of a perovskite-type phase, with orthorhombic symmetry. Increase of the Cu amount do not appreciably affects the orthorhombicity factor b/a, up to an amount of 50 at.% Cu. Above this Cu amount, a multiphase system has been observed, with the presence of unreacted-Y2O3, YMnO3 and Y2Cu2O5, along with a perovskite phase. DC electrical conductivity measurements have shown a semiconducting behaviour for all the solid solutions with perovskite-type structure. The room temperature conductivity increases with Cu until 33 at.% Cu, and then decreases. Thermally activated small polaron hopping mechanism, between Mn3+ and Mn4+ cations, controls the conductivity in these ceramics. Results are discussed as a function of the Mn3+/Mn4+ ratio for each composition.  相似文献
