In this paper, a new approach of meander line technique for Printed Quadrifilar Helix Antenna (PQHA) is studied. Compared with other meander line techniques, this approach has lowered the axial height of antenna greatly and improved the efficiency of model-building in simulation proc-essing. We have focused on the analysis of radiation pattern, axial ratio, and design graph for the Meander line Printed Quadrifilar Helix Antenna (MPQHA). Finally, we have reduced successfully 67% size in geometry compared with traditional PQHA method, and obtained rather reasonable results.  相似文献

In order to improve the luminous efficiency of ac plasma display panel (PDP), a new bridge type sustaining electrode is suggested. The luminous efficiency of the ac PDP with suggested new sustaining electrodes is improved about 30% compared with that of conventional sustaining electrodes. Furthermore, the suggested ac PDP is maintained almost the same luminance with the conventional ones, and this type has a merit of free alignment between front and rear panels  相似文献

A small rectangular loop antenna (RLA) for RFID tags has been designed and fabricated for the UHF band. As the structure of a meander line and a folded meander line is applied in a general RLA, the RLA is miniaturised. The size reduction rate of meander line RLA and folded meander line RLA are 85.4 and 92.2% compared with a general RLA, respectively. The radiation patterns are omnidirectional in the z-y plane (horizontal pol.). Also the gain of the meander line RLA and folded meander line RLA are -2.47 and -4.01 dBd, respectively  相似文献

A thin-film superconducting meander patch antenna coupled by an H-shaped aperture is proposed. It is analyzed using a full wave electromagnetic simulator and the theory of cavity model for microstrip patch antennas. The meander patch was fabricated from a single-sided film of YBCO (YBa2CU3O7) on MgO with a typical transition temperature of 90 K. Simulated results are presented for return loss, radiation pattern, and efficiency and these are shown in good agreement with the results obtained from network analyzer measurements. 提出了一种基于开槽介质基底的卷绕微带线慢波结构.由于金属曲折微带线印制在介质基底的半圆形槽中,这种卷绕微带线慢波结构非常适合圆形电子注行波管,从而使得采用这种新型慢波结构的行波管可以利用传统的周期永磁磁场进行聚焦.文章对提出的卷绕微带线慢波结构的色散特性,耦合阻抗,传输特性及注-波互作用进行了分析.和传统的平面微带线慢波结构相比,提出的卷绕微带线慢波结构具有更低的相速、更弱的色散和更高的耦合阻抗,从而使得其适合于低电压、宽频带、小型化的毫米波行波管.将同步电压及直流电流分别设置为6 550 V及0.1 A的情况下,基于该卷绕微带线慢波结构的Ka波段行波管在35 GHz处能够输出42.32 W的功率,对应增益为26.26 dB,且均匀聚焦磁场只需0.4 T.  相似文献

The spiral meander spurline structure is an optimal solution for a reduced resonator size and a high Quality factor (Q-factor) compared to other conventional spurline structures. The spiral meander spurline resonator shows not only 38% reduced dimensional effect, but also 16% improved Q-factor compared with conventional meander spurline resonator. Moreover, in order to get more high quality factor, we analysed spurline slot width variation and designed the symmetric dual spiral meander structure, which has a 46.87% improved Q-factor compare with a single spiral meander. The symmetric dual spiral meander structure resonator performance results are shown in a return loss of ?0.76?dB, an insertion loss of ?46.32?dB, and a quality factor of 235 at 6.4?GHz C-band application. In addition, according to the design and performance of the resonator, we can derive from this performance a low phase noise oscillator. The oscillators using symmetric dual spiral meander structure resonator shows good phase noise performances of ?104.43?dBc/Hz at a 100?kHz offset from the carrier frequencies of 6.38?GHz at output powers of 12.2?dBm, respectively.  相似文献

A moment technique is used to determine the propagation delay in meander (serpentine) delay lines located in printed circuit boards of computer systems. The full three-dimensional effects of the meander structure including signal line thickness, right-angle bends, and skin-effect are included. A set of delay lines having different pitches are considered, and results are calculated and compared to those from two-dimensional simulations, other commercial codes, analytic formulas in the literature, and experimental measurements. Based on the consistency of the results and sensitivity analyses involving numerical gridding and frequency content, the delays calculated for meander lines situated in a homogeneous medium are accurate to better than a few tenths of a percent  相似文献

A novel planar meander sleeve monopole antenna for digital video broadcasting-hand held (DVB-H) and GSM mobile handsets is presented. By using the planar sleeve monopole type radiating element constructed with meander strips, the antenna provides a degree of miniaturisation while retaining a wide bandwidth covering the DVB-H and GSM-900 bands. A prototype is constructed and tested, which shows that an impedance bandwidth of 498 MHz (463-961 MHz) within 2.5:1 VSWR is achieved.  相似文献

Current work on display devices in Japan is surveyed. Work on plasma display panels includes several methods for producing gray scale on ac-driven bistable panels, a technique for moving the display on an ac-driven panel, and new types of plasma display panels. Development on several types of alphanumeric displays, including both new and older types, is summarized. Work on light-emitting diodes includes new fabrication techniques and new types of devices. The liquid-crystal work described includes addressing techniques, color modulators, and light-addressed light valves. A new cathodochromic display tube, a high-frequency oscilloscope tube, and an electroluminescent display panel are mentioned.  相似文献

Unit cell modeling is performed to determine the effect of electromagnetic coupling on the propagation characteristics of a meander delay line, which is widely used in printed circuit boards and packages. Since the design of a delay line must guarantee several tens of picosecond timing margin in modern high-speed packages and board level interconnections, a penetrating understanding of the meander effect is essential. The propagation delay, the characteristic impedance, and the stop-band characteristic of the meander delay line have been carefully investigated based on a full-wave analysis using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) periodic structure modeling method. The periodicity of the meander line is utilized based on Floquet's theorem, resulting in a reduction of the computational domain in the FDTD simulation and providing a unit cell model of the meander line. The unit cell modeling of the meander delay line shows the effect of electromagnetic coupling in meander line structure on the reduction of the propagation delay. Also, an analysis based on the unit cell modeling was confirmed by time-domain reflection/transmission measurements.  相似文献

An innovative miniature cavity-shielded infinitely thin meander line on a stratified medium is presented in this paper. The dispersion characteristic of this periodic meander line is firstly formulated in terms of a rigorous hybrid-mode representation by use of the Floquet theorem. Numerical results are included for several different structural parameters. The results are compared with other available data and good agreements are observed. This rectangular cavity is also designed to be a quarter-wave section of the shielded meander line and its dyadic Green's function is derived. After the simplification of the enumeration of the dyadic Gree's function, the input impedance of the coaxial line-excited rectangular cavity is determined by a multifilament method-of-moments solution. Good numerical results are also obtained and the rectangular cavity is proved to be an aforementioned quarter-wave section of shielded meander line, grounded at one end and open-circuited at the other.  相似文献

The results of an experimental investigation of electrodynamic characteristics of a meander microstrip line with a ferromagnetic film are presented for different values of an external magnetic field. It is found that, in the presence of a ferrite film, higher-order modes caused by perturbation of corresponding modes of a multilayered meander line are excited in the passband of a higher-order mode of the meander line. These modes propagate in dielectric substrates of the meander line and the ferromagnetic film. The effect of transmission of the active power in the stopband of the meander line with a ferromagnetic film is discovered. This effect also arises in the case of excitation of magnetostatic waves.  相似文献

A slow-wave structure intended for use in solid-state traveling-wave amplifiers is described. The structure is a meander line with adjacent conducting elements electrically connected by lumped capacitors. The dispersion curve is derived and shown to agree with experiment. This paper presents a novel compact meta-structure microstrip balun, which is characterized by left-handed properties. In the novel structure, two coupled meander lines are used to generate series capacitor and series inductor. Compared with conventional composite right/left-handed transmission-line structures, the new structure has smaller size and is easily fabricated by MEMS (Micro Electromechanical Systems) technology. Using such a meta-structure, a wide band microstrip balun is designed and fabricated. Good performance in phase error in wide pass band has been achieved.  相似文献

A high dark room contrast ratio is necessary for realizing good image quality in ac plasma display panels (PDP). However, the conventional PDPs have low dark room contrast ratio because the background light mainly results from the reset discharges between the address, scan, and sustain electrodes in every subfield. In this study, a new driving method [improved waveform of contrast ratio (ICR)] is suggested to enhance the dark room contrast ratio. The principle of ICR is that the facing discharges during the reset period occur between the scan and address electrodes instead of surface discharges by applying almost the same voltage waveform as the scan voltage to the sustain electrode after the conventional first subfield. Moreover, the reset discharge occurs only for the cells that experienced sustain discharge in the preceding subfield after the first subfield. Novel slow-wave coplanar waveguide (CPW) filters using high temperature superconductor (HTS) films are presented. Both half-wavelength and quarter-wavelength resonators are used in the filter topology. The miniaturisation is achieved using meander structure and interdigital grounding lines. A 3-pole Chebyshev bandpass filter has been designed, fabricated and studied. The untuned experimental results are in very good agreement with the simulated responses.  相似文献

Mathematical models of meander noise-like signals (binary offset carrier modulated signals (BOC signals)) of new-generation satellite radio navigation systems (SRNSs), in particular, the modernized GPS, the Galileo system, and the QZSS are presented. An analytic expression for the correlation function (CF) of single symbols of meander pulses is obtained for the arbitrary value of the multiplicity coefficient. The properties of CFs of various meander symbols are analyzed. The features of CFs are revealed for the even and odd values of the multiplicity coefficient. Examples of CFs are considered, and CFs of single symbols of BOC signals applied in new-generation SRNSs are plotted.  相似文献

Gas discharge plasma display panels have been under development at Owens-Illinois for several years. This display device offers many advantages including: 1) tube depth (approximately ½ in) essentially independent of display size; 2) random write capability; 3) controlled information storage; 4) selective erase and bulk erase capability; 5) positive registration of displayed information; and 6) rear projection and/or printout capability. Panels, now available (DIGIVUE® display/memory unit), with 33⅓ and 40 electrode lines per inch are appropriate for many applications. However, a somewhat higher resolution of 50 or 60 lines per inch is desired for most general-purpose individual console displays when the number of lines inXor inYexceeds several hundred. The lower density Owens-Illinois panels are constructed from a parallel plate structure that was selected because of its compatibility with high volume manufacturing processing. This study indicated that the same basic structure could be used at resolutions up to 60 lines per inch. Design dimensions were optimized for this higher resolution and good dynamic operation was obtained. Process techniques were developed to produce panels with 256 by 256 lines and 512 by 512 lines. Several panels of each of these sizes were fabricated and evaluated. The performance of these 60 line per inch panels was comparable to that of the 33 line per inch panels.  相似文献
