Ductile L20-type wires and+L12-type duplex wires with high strengths and large elongation in the Ni-Al-Fe and Ni-Al-Co ternary systems have been manufactured directly from the liquid state by an in-rotating-water spinning method. The wire diameter was in the range 80 to 180m and the average grain size was 2 to 4m for the wires and 0.2 to 1.0m for the+ wires. y, f and p of the wires were found to be about 360 to 760 MPa, 560 to 960 MPa, and 0.2 to 5.5%, respectively, for the Ni-Al-Fe system, those of the+ wires were about 395 to 660 MPa, 670 to 1285 MPa, and 3.5 to 17%, respectively, for the Ni-Al-Fe system, and about 260 to 365 MPa, 600 to 870 MPa, and 4.0 to 7.0%, respectively, for the Ni-Al-Co system. Cold-drawing caused a significant increase in y and f and the values attained were about 1850 and 2500 MPa, respectively, for Ni-20Al-30Fe and Ni-25Al-30Co wires drawn to about 90% reduction in area. The high strengths, large elongation and good cold-workability of the melt-quenched and+ compound wires have been inferred to be due to the structural change into a low-degree ordered state containing a high density of phase boundaries, suppression of grain-boundary segregation and refinement of grain size.  相似文献

Mean field slave-boson approximation is performed on the extended Emery model for the CuO2 conducting plane. The model is parameterized by Cu–O charge transfer energy pd , copper–oxygen overlap t 0, oxygen–oxygen overlap t', and Coulomb interaction U on the copper site taken as infinite. Special emphasis is placed on the role of t in the renormalization trends of the effective band parameters pf and t, replacing pd and t 0, at small doping . It is shown that small, negative t expands the range of stability of the metallic phase, changing, in the second order of the perturbation theory, the nature of the metal–insulator transition point. In the nonperturbative limit, t modifies strongly the renormalization of pf , making it saturate at the value of 4t. Finite doping suppresses the insulating state approximately symmetrically with respect to its sign. The regime pf 4t fits very well the ARPES spectra of Y123, Bi2212, and LSCO and also explans, in the latter case, the evolution of the FS with doping accompanied by the spectral weight-transfer from the oxygen to the resonant band.  相似文献

Vibrational properties of wood along the grain   总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5
The dynamic Young's modulus (EL) and loss tangent (tan L ) along the grain, dynamic shear modulus (GL) and loss tangent (tan S) in the vertical section, and density () of a hundred spruce wood specimens used for the soundboards of musical instruments were determined. The relative acoustic conversion efficiency ( ) and a ratio reflecting the anisotropy of wood (, (EL/GL)(tan S/tan L)) were defined in order to evaluate the acoustic quality of wood along the grain. There was a positive correlation between and , and the variation in was larger than that in . It seemed logical to evaluate the acoustic quality of spruce wood by a measure of . By using a cell wall model, those acoustic factors were expressed with the physical properties of the cell wall constituents. This model predicted that the essential requirement for an excellent soundboard is smaller fibril angle of the cell wall, which yields higher and higher . On the other hand, the effects of chemical treatments on the and of wood were clarified experimentally and analyzed theoretically. It was suggested that the and of wood cannot be improved at the same time by chemical treatment.  相似文献

Summary Three-dimensional boundary layer transition on axisymmetric rotating bodies is the subject of a comprehensive experimental study. Based on this study, hypotheses are made on the mechanism of cross-flow instability for swept wing flow. These new results are combined with past explanations to provide a rough sketch for the entire flow field over the swept wing. From this new viewpoint there appears the mechanism of traveling waves, being induced by a stationary disturbance. Some uncertainties appearing in recent papers concerning this flow field are discussed. Among these uncertainties for which an explanation is provided, is the discrepancy of frequencies between the hot wire signal and the visualized flow pattern.Nomenclature x direction along a potential flow stream line - y direction normal to a potential flow stream line - z direction normal to bothx andy directions - U mean velocity inx-direction - V mean velocity iny-direction - x direction along a disturbance - y direction normal tox direction - u, v, w fluctuating velocity components inx, y, z directions - U velocity inx-direction with wall fixed coordinate - U e velocity of outer edge of boundary-layer - U uniform flow velocity normal to leading edge - V uniform flow velocity parallel to leading edge - Q upstream velocity - N rotation speed of an axisymmetric body - P arbitrary point on a disk surface - r radius to a pointP - R 0 radius of a disk or a cylinder - U p phase velocity of ring like vortices - T position where wall streaks appear in the case of oil flow visualization - Re c,t critical and transitional Reynolds numbers - angle of the spiral disturbance - boundary-layer thickness - angular velocity - sweep angle of a body - wave length of disturbance - kinematic viscosity of a fluid With 11 Figures  相似文献

Ageing characteristics of an extruded eutectoid Zn-Al based alloy were investigated using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy techniques. The extruded alloy consisted of Al rich phase and Zn rich E and phases. The original cast eutectoid Zn-Al alloy was extruded at 250 °C. Both supersaturated s and s phase decomposed during extrusion and appeared as fine and coarse lamellar structures. The E and phases particles formed in the original interdendritic region. It was found that two Zn rich phases E and decomposed sequentially during ageing at 170, 140 °C. The decomposition of the E phase occurred as a discontinuous precipitation in the early stage of ageing and the decomposition of the phase took place in a four phase transformation: + T + in the prolonged ageing. Two typical morphologies of the decomposition of the Zn rich phases E and were distinctive in back-scattered scanning electron microscopy.  相似文献

AC electrical properties of 410 nm think 30 at.wt% Cu-70 at.wt% GeO2 thin films are reported for the frequency range 104 to 106 Hz and temperature range 150 to 425 K. The loss tangent (tan ) and the dielectric loss (/0) are found to show striking minima around a cut-off frequency 105 Hz. In the lower frequency range (105 Hz), 1() s T n is obeyed with s (0 to 0.51) increasing as a function of temperature and n (0.10 to 0.14) showing a very weak temperature dependence. In the higher frequency region (105 Hz), 1() and /0 increase sharply leading to the quadratic behavior of 1() with s equal to 2. These processes are discussed by analyzing an equivalent circuit which shows that at lower frequencies, the effects of series resistance in leads and contacts can be neglected, while at higher frequencies such effect give rise to spurious 2 dependance for the conductance. A weakly activated AC conductivity and a frequency exponent s that increases with increasing temperature suggest that the low frequency behavior originates from carrier migration by tunneling process.  相似文献

Complex microstructural changes in as-cast eutectoid Zn-Al alloy   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4
Phase transformations and microstructural changes of an as-cast eutectoid Zn-Al alloy (ZnAl22Cu2) were investigated during isothermal holding. The typical dendritic structures consisted of s phase as a core with the edge of decomposed s phase and decomposed s in the interdendritic regions. A series of complex phase transformations was observed. Both decompositions of s and s were determined at an early stage of ageing and a four-phase transformation, f+T+, was observed at the boundaries of f phase and the phase, instead of clearly observed at the boundaries of phase, in a solution-treated Zn-Al alloy during prolonged ageing.  相似文献

Metastable lath martensite ( L ) phase wires with high strengths have been produced in the Fe-Ni-Cr-Al-C alloy system by melt spinning in rotating water. These wires have a circular cross section and a white lustre and the wire diameter is in the range of 100 to 140m. The width and length of each lath in the L phase are as small as about 0.3 and 2m, respectively. The y, f and p are about 900 and 1650 MPa and 2.0% for the L wires. The subsequent annealing causes an increase in p as well as y and f and the attained values are about 1000 and 1700 MPa and 3.0% for Fe-10Ni-10Cr-6.5 Al-1.0C wire annealed at 773 K for 1 h owing to the precipitation strengthening of a very fine unidentified carbide and to a high density of dislocations and lath boundaries in the L phase. Further annealing causes a significant decrease in p through decomposition of L to+M7C3+M23C6. Therefore, the high strength combined with relatively good ductility for the L wires is interpreted as due to the suppression of the phase transformation of L to a mixed structure of+M7C3+M23C6 by melt quenching.  相似文献

The electrodynamic approach to the problem of collective oscillations in superconductors is considered. The kinetic equation for quasiparticles is used to find the longitudinal dielectric function 1 (, k) of a pure superconductor at ( is the collision frequency). With the help of the evaluated 1 (, k) the existence of collective oscillations localized near the boundary of the superconductor is investigated.  相似文献

Conclusions A model for representing the propagation of superlong waves was selected. Certain relative mode parameters ()1, ()2, ()3, (V)1, (V)2, (V)3, C1, C2, and C3 can be used in order to account for the time-measurement error produced as a resuit of the double-mode signal propagation, to determine in a semiempirical manner the ionosphere's effective reflection height at night and in the daytime, to calculate and apply signal-propagation corrections which take into account phase velocity changes due to variations in the ionosphere height from day to day, and to calculate the fields of transition paths.Translated from Izmeritel'naya Tekhnika, No. 8, pp. 75–78, August, 1974.  相似文献

The dielectric constants and loss factors,, for pure single-crystal MgO and for Fe-and Cr-doped crystals have been measured at frequencies, , from 500 Hz to 500 kHz at room temperature. For pure MgO at 1 kHz the values of and the loss tangent, tan , (9.62 and 2.16×10–3, respectively) agree well with the data of Von Hippel; the conductivity, , varies as n withn=0.98±0.02. In Fe-doped crystals increases with Fe-concentration (at any given frequency); for a crystal doped with 12800 ppm Fe, was about four times the value for pure MgO. At all concentrations the variation of log with log was linear andn=0.98±0.02. A decrease in with increasing Fe-concentration was also observed. A similar, although less pronounced, behaviour was found in Cr-doped crystals. The effects are discussed in terms of hopping mechanisms.  相似文献

Eleven ternary compounds were synthesised, of which nine are new. The seven most ZnS-rich compounds form a series. Each has a primitive hexagonal lattice witha=3.85±0.01 Å. Thec-dimension varies from 37.47 Å (39 ZnS8 In2S3) to 18.63 Å (18 ZnS8 In2S3) with a periodicity of 3.14 Å which can be related to a decrease in the ZnS content. One of the four remaining compounds (12 ZnS8 In2S3) is triclinic, but at least two polytypes are present. The more common variety has the parameters:a=3.86 Å,b=15.48 Å,c=3.54 Å,=90° 16,=120° 02 and=89° 47. The structure of the other polytype and of compounds 17 ZnS:8 In2S3 and 10 ZnS8 In2S3 have not been determined. Stoichiometric ZnIn2S4 has a rhombic hexagonal lattice (a=3.86 Å,c=36.95 Å). This ternary compound which has been synthesised previously is the only one to show appreciable solid solution. Approximately 2 mole % ZnS is soluble in ZnIn2S4 at 600° C; this increases to 8 mole % at 1080° C.  相似文献

The copper isotope effect (63Cu —65Cu) was investigated for oxygen-deficient YBa2Cu3O7– with transition temperatures between 40 and 91 K. The isotope exponent Cu=–nTc/nmCu is negative for all transition temperatures. It is small, Cu–0.14, in the 60 K plateau, and unobservable for Tc=91 K. In regions away from these special conditions, Cu reaches large values of up to Cu=–0.4.  相似文献

The static, dynamic and attenuation properties of Co2Z barium ferrites and Co2Z composites have been studied. The results showed that both static and dynamic magnetic properties are significantly different for large particles and nanoparticles. As compared to large particles, Co2Z nanoparticles have a small saturation magnetization Ms, large coercivity Hc, small permeability 0 and max, but high resonance frequency fR. The maximum reflection loss predicted is much smaller for nanoparticles than for large particles. Therefore, Co2Z barium ferrite with large particle is more suitable for EM materials with high attenuation and broad bandwidth at microwave frequency.  相似文献

The oxidation of dispersed aluminium oxynitride particles in an alumina matrix has been studied. The kinetics law of this reaction is linear and the activation energy is 420±40 kJ mol–1 (100±10 kcal mo–1). A-alumina layer is formed and leads to-alumina above 1200° C. The-alumina formation produces surface compressive stresses, and thus the mechanical properties ( f, HV) are improved. We have proved that the formation of-alumina in the Al2O3-AION composite can lead to the best properties for this ceramic. A-alumina layer has a very interesting effect on the wear resistance of this material.  相似文献

The athermal transformation in Zr-2 at.% Nb alloy has been investigated by transmission electron microscopy. Analysis of the selected-area diffraction pattern has shown that the orientation relationships between the omega and the parent-phase in quenched Zr-2 at.% Nb alloy are the same as have been previously observed for the reaction in pure zirconium. Thus it was deduced that the direct transition has taken place in the alloy during cooling. The-originated -particles were visualized using the dark-field technique. The formation of the athermal omega in the-region of-stabilized Zr-Nb alloy is discussed in terms of the relative positions of the free energy equilibrium curvesT 0 ,T 0 ,T 0 and the correspondingM s ,M s andT s start curves. It is concluded that the omega phase can occur over a much wider range of alloy compositions than is usually recognized on the basis of transformation data.  相似文献

Natural convective air flow in an enclosure with a horizontal lower wall, vertical side-walls and a straight inclined top wall has been numerically studied. The lower wall is at a uniform high temperature while the top wall is cooled to a uniform lower temperature. The temperature of the side-walls varies in a prescribed way between the temperatures of the bottom and top walls. This flow situation is related to that occurring in a proposed system for use in developing countries for drying crops such as corn and rice. It has been assumed that the flow is steady, laminar, and two-dimensional and that the fluid properties are constant except for the density change with temperature that gives rise to the buoyancy forces. The governing equations have been expressed in terms of stream function and vorticity and written in dimensionless form. The finite element method has been used to obtain the solution to these dimensionless equations. Results have been obtained for enclosures with aspect ratios of between 0.25 and 1 for top surface angles of inclination of between 0 and 45° and for Rayleigh numbers, based on the enclosure width, of between 1000 and 107. The results have been used to study the effect of changes in the governing parameters on the flow pattern in the enclosure and on the mean heat transfer rate to the upper surface.List of symbols A aspect ratio, h/w - h mean height of cavity - k thermal conductivity - Nu local Nusselt number based on w - mean Nusselt number for top surface based on w - n n/w - n coordinate measured normal to boundary surface considered - p pressure - Pr Prandtl number - q local dimensionless heat transfer rate - mean heat transfer rate to top surface - Ra Rayleigh number based on w - T dimensionless temperature - T temperature - T H temperature of bottom surface - T C temperature of top surface - u velocity component in x direction - v velocity component in y direction - w width of cavity - x dimensionless x coordinate - x horizontal coordinate position - y dimensionless y coordinate - y vertical coordinate position - thermal diffusivity This work was supported by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) of Canada.  相似文献

Our previous theory yielded for the Zeeman splitting of the imaginaryJ=1 collective mode in3He-B the result =2+0.25J z ( is the effective Larmor frequency). In this paper we take into account the downward shift of the pair-breaking edge from 2 to 22– (2 and 1 are the longitudinal and transverse gap parameters). This leads to a complex Landé factor: the frequencies of theJ z =±1 components become =2+0.39J z , and the linewidths of these resonances become finite: =0.18. The coupling amplitudes of theJ z =±1 components to density are found to be proportional to gap distortion, (12/(/)2. Our results for the ultrasonic attenuation due to theJ z =±1,J=1 modes are capable of explaining the field dependence of the attenuation close to the pair-breaking edge as observed by Dobbs, Saunders, et al. The observed peak is caused by theJ z =–1 component: its height increases due to gap distortion as the field is increased, and the peak shifts downward in temperature and its width increases with the field due to the complex Landé factor. TheJ z =+1 component gives rise to a corresponding dip relative to the continuum attenuation.  相似文献

Summary A numerical study is presented for magnetohydrodynamic free convection of an electrically conducting fluid in a two-dimensional rectangular enclosure in which two side walls are maintained at uniform heat flux condition. The horizontal top and bottom walls are thermally insulated. A finite difference scheme comprising of modified ADI (Alternating Direction Implicit) method and SOR (Successive-Over-Relaxation) method is used to solve the governing equations. Computations are carried out over a wide range of Grashof number, Gr and Hartmann number, Ha for an enclosure of aspect ratio 1 and 2. The influences of these parameters on the flow pattern and the associated heat transfer characteristics are discussed. Numerical results show that with the application of an external magnetic field, the temperature and velocity fields are significantly modified. When the Grashof number is low and Hartmann number is high, the central streamlines are elongated and the isotherms are almost parallel representing a conduction state. For sufficiently large magnetic field strength the convection is suppressed for all values of Gr. The average Nusselt number decreases with an increase of Hartmann number and hence a magnetic field can be used as an effective mechanism to control the convection in an enclosure.List of symbols Ar aspect ratio,H/L - B 0 induction magnetic field - H 0 magnetic field,H 0=B 0/ m - g gravitational acceleration - Gr Grashof number,gq(L/k)L 3/v 2 - H height of the enclosure - Ha Hartmann number, - k thermal conductivity - Nu local Nusselt number - average Nusselt number - p pressure - Pr Prandtl number, / - q heat flux - t time - T dimensionless temperature, (–0)/q(L/k) - u vertical velocity - U dimensionless vertical velocity,uL/ - v horizontal velocity - V dimensionless horizontal velocity,vL/ - x vertical coordinate - X dimensionless vertical coordinate,x/L - y horizontal coordinate - Y dimensionless horizontal coordinate,y/L - thermal diffusivity - thermal expansion coefficient - temperature - 0 reference temperature - density - kinematic viscosity - viscosity - m magnetic permeability - electrical conductivity - stream function - dimensionless stream function, / - dimensionless time,t/L 2 - vorticity - dimensionless vorticity, L 2/ - X grid spacing inX-direction - Y grid spacing inY-direction - time increment - 2 Laplacian operator  相似文献

The microstructure and phase transformations occurring in-iron-carbonitrides have been studied by means of X-ray and electron diffraction, electron microscopy and Mössbauer spectrometry. Ordering of the interstitial atoms, N or C, results in a hexagonal unit cell for Fe3(C, N) with parametersa=a3 andc=c wherea andc are the lattice parameters of the hexagonal close-packed (h c p) iron unit cell. Stacking faults on (0001) planes and partial dislocations with Burgers vector b=1/31 0 ¯1 0 are observed in quenched-Fe4 (C, N). After quench-aging, the carbonitrides show a structural hardening due to the precipitation of a metastable phase. Slow cooling of-carbonitrides with less than 25 at% interstitials leads to the precipitation of-carbonitride and ferrite in-phase grains which allows the orientation relationships between the-,- and-phases to be defined and a model of the-phase--phase transformation to be proposed.  相似文献
