对MIMO通信系统的数字预编码方法进行了深入分析,指出单用户毫米波大规模MIMO系统和传统全数字预编码方案所用射频(RF)链路数量过大致使系统实现成本大和能量消耗较高,并针对这种情况,提出了一种在系统收发两端分别采用混合预编码器和混合合成器的混合预编码方案。该方案首先通过迭代算法设计模拟预编码矩阵,并且根据信道矩阵与模拟预编码矩阵作用生成的等效信道矩阵设计数字预编码矩阵,然后根据混合预编码器设计混合合成器,从而使系统频谱效率最大化。该方案与传统全数字预编码及现有混合预编码方案的仿真比较结果表明,该方案有效降低了系统实现成本和能量消耗,且性能优于现有的混合预编码方案,与传统全数字预编码方案相比,性能非常接近。  相似文献

研究了大规模多输入多输出(MIMO)系统的预编码。针对小区间干扰和导频污染会对预编码的有效性产生较大影响的问题,提出了一种改进的全导频正则化迫零(RZF)预编码方法。该方法通过将有限的正交导频信号分配给小区用户来对预编码矩阵中的信道向量进行优化,得到优化后的全导频正则化预编码矩阵,并依此推导出新的包含导频污染函数和用户干扰函数的和速率表达式。另外,综合考虑基站天线数、用户数以及导频重用因子,优化其配置关系,从而用较少的用户信息和更高的导频重用因子来抑制更多的小区间干扰,有效地提升系统性能。实验结果表明,这种改进的RZF预编码算法能够较好地提高系统容量,在完全已知信道状态信息(CSI)和未完全已知CSI两种情况下的频谱效率及和速率均优于传统的RZF方法。  相似文献

The presence of multiple access interference and hardware complexity of the mobile terminal are two major burdens for multi-carrier code division multiple access schemes. Both burdens can be overcome in downlink by precoding the transmitted signal using the knowledge of the channel state information. In multiuser precoding techniques, the transmitter is optimised to combat channel impairments through the use of new spreading sequences that are obtained by solving an optimisation problem based on some criterion. Among these optimisation problems, the problem based on maximum likelihood is hard and complex to solve. In the proposed precoding scheme, the well-suited expectation maximisation algorithm is used to solve this problem. The proposed precoding technique is simulated and its performance is analysed and compared with some other precoding and detecting techniques. The results show that the proposed scheme considerably outperforms the previous precoding schemes.  相似文献

Most of existing work on resource allocation in TDMA and OFDMA systems assumes the availability of perfect channel state information (CSI) at the transmitter, which is rarely possible due to feedback delay and channel estimation error. In this paper, we study the effect of feedback delay and channel estimation error on margin adaptive resource allocation in a downlink OFDMA system. By using convex optimization framework, we find an optimal solution to the problem. First, we study the individual effect of feedback delay and channel estimation error on resource allocation by considering them exclusively. Then, we consider the simultaneous presence of feedback delay and channel estimation error and study their combined effect on resource allocation. We derive an explicit close form expression for the users’ transmit power and propose an algorithm for power and subcarriers allocation for each of these three scenarios. The algorithms have polynomial complexities and solve the problem with zero optimality gaps. Simulation results show that the system performance is very sensitive to feedback delay and is affected significantly by imperfect channel estimation. Our proposed algorithms highly improve the system performance in the availability of only imperfect CSI at the transmitter.  相似文献

A low-complexity scheme of iterative equalisation and decoding by combining a recursive systematic convolutional code and a pulse-position modulation is proposed here. A graph- based equalisation for intersymbol interference (ISI) known at both transmitter and receiver is considered. By representing the memory channel with ISI as the factor graph and applying sum-product (SP) algorithm to this graph, a posteriori probability (APP) of the desired symbol necessary to implement iterative equalisation and decoding is derived. A partial response precoding is used to reduce the span of ISI from a possible infinite number of two baud periods. This precoding scheme makes the factor graph of memory channel cycle-free, and SP algorithm for combating ISI converges to an optimum detection. Numerical results show that the proposed low-complexity strategy has almost the same performance as the optimum turbo equalisation.  相似文献

Nonlinear Tomlinson-Harashima precoding (THP) is an attractive solution for a scenario where the transmission system employs multiple antennas at transmitter and multiple users with a single antenna at the receiver, so that the cooperation among the receive antennas are impossible (downlink scenario). THP solution based on zero forcing (ZF) and minimum mean square error (MMSE) criteria is one of the important techniques to achieve near multiple input multiple output channels capacity with reasonable complexity. In this paper, the effect of channel imperfection on THP is considered. At first, the achievable rate of THP with respect to ZF criterion in an imperfect channel state information (CSI) scenario is calculated. Moreover, based on MMSE criterion, a new robust solution is derived which provides a significant improvement with respect to the conventional optimisation method. Then, the effect of channel estimation error on THP is considered as an improved optimisation where THP filters are optimised together with a channel estimator. Spatial power loading is found to be important to the THP performance. This loading for robust/joint optimisation of MMSE THP is developed by minimum average symbol error rate sense. Simulation results show the capacity loss, the performance advantage attained by the robust/joint optimisation and the power loading in an imperfect CSI scenario.  相似文献

A number of requirements for 5G mobile communication are satisfied by adopting multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems. The inter user interference (IUI) which is an inevitable problem in MIMO systems becomes controllable when the precoding scheme is used. In this paper, the horizontal Gauss-Seidel (HGS) method is proposed as precoding scheme in massive MIMO systems. In massive MIMO systems, the exact inversion of channel matrix is impractical due to the severe computational complexity. Therefore, the conventional Gauss-Seidel (GS) method is used to approximate the inversion of channel matrix. The GS has good performance by using previous calculation results as feedback. However, the required time for obtaining the precoding symbols is too long due to the sequential process of GS. Therefore, the HGS with parallel calculation is proposed in this paper to reduce the required time. The rows of channel matrix are eliminated for parallel calculation in HGS method. In addition, HGS uses the ordered channel matrix to prevent performance degradation which is occurred by parallel calculation. The HGS with proper number of parallelly computed symbols has better performance and reduced required time compared to the traditional GS.  相似文献

If a channel fades fast and the feedback rate of a wireless communication system is low, exploiting long-term channel statistics at the transmitter is more often practical than exploiting instantaneous channel state information. Statistical adaptive modulation scheme based on tap correlation information at the transmitter assuming an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system with fast mobiles has been proposed. The proposed scheme improves the system performance compared with uniform bit loading scheme. It has been shown that at low SNR, statistical adaptive modulation applied to a channel with high tap correlation results in better performance than that applied to a channel without tap correlation  相似文献

The authors study the problem of limited channel information feedback in multiple-input single-output (MISO) broadcast channels serving heterogeneous users. The heterogeneous users have different feedback channel capacities because of their physical constraints and limitations. Our objective is to design an optimised limited feedback strategy for multiple users by using a set of multi-resolution codebooks such that, under varying and quantised channel information feedback, the multiuser system can maximise its achievable sum rate. By exploiting the receive antenna combining technique, the authors further generalise the proposed scheme to the multiuser beamforming case with multi-antenna users. Finally, the authors verify the proposed scheme by numerical methods. Simulation results show that the sum rate performance for heterogeneous users can be effectively improved by using the proposed limited feedback scheme, which is optimised according to only statistic channel information of users.  相似文献

为了进一步降低有限反馈系统的反馈量,提出了一种多输入多输出(MIMO)信道树形矢量量化编码反馈方法.对于具有时间相关性的信道,首先统计出在已知当前码字的条件下下一个码字出现的条件概率,然后根据条件概率进行条件熵编码,编码结果反馈到输入端进行波束成形.该方法利用树形码本提高最优码字的搜索效率,减少计算量;利用信道的时间相关性提高编码效率,降低反馈量.仿真结果表明,在具有时间相关性的信道中,采用所提方法能以较少的计算量和较低的反馈量获取与传统方案相近的系统性能.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate an optimised transmitter pre-filtering technique for downlink time-division-duplex (TDD) code division multiple access (CDMA) communications, which employs the conventional matched filter (MF) detector at the mobile receivers. The proposed pre-filtering technique eliminates the multiple-access interference and intersymbol interference (MAI/ISI) effects by applying a very simple transmission scheme that combines a signal transformation with a cyclic prefix strategy under a power constraint condition. Two constrained pre-filtering transformations are suggested depending on the information required at the mobile unit. An open-loop transmitter pre-filtering is first formulated; however, this solution does not consider the properties of the noise at the mobile receiver. A second solution is then presented via a closed-loop transmitter pre-filtering that includes an optimum gain for a given transmit and noise power. Some associated issues such as system efficiency, computational complexity and channel estimation errors are also addressed. Simulation results show that the proposed transmitter pre-filtering scheme can be used to increase the system performance and capacity. In addition, its performance is compared with another similar transmit pre-processing scheme in order to evaluate the performance improvement by the proposed algorithm.  相似文献

The use of transmit antenna selection algorithms in multiple-antenna systems enables significant reduction in implementation cost and complexity while maintaining acceptable performance. An attractive and quite flexible selection algorithm is to allow the receiver to pick any of the transmit antennas that can satisfy a predetermined performance target. Such an algorithm is referred to as the arbitrarily ordered transmit antenna selection algorithm. However, the effectiveness of transmit antenna selection is decreased by several propagation impairments over the feedback channel from the receiver to the transmitter. Of these impairments, the feedback channel time delay may impose a significant impact on the achieved performance. This paper aims to investigate the impact of this time delay on the performance of receive maximal-ratio combining (MRC) diversity employing the arbitrarily ordered transmit antenna selection algorithm. In order to obtain quantitative measures for this impact, new expressions for various performance criteria are obtained by using the new derived formulas for the probability density function (pdf) and the moment generating function (MGF) of the combined signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Numerical and simulation results are presented to illustrate the effect of delayed (i.e. outdated) feedback information on the system performance for various transmit antenna selection scenarios.  相似文献

Radio channel capacity can be increased dramatically using a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) scheme, but at the expense of hardware complexity. An efficient approach for complexity reduction is antenna subset selection at the transmitter and/or receiver. A novel transmit antenna selection algorithm is presented using the cross-entropy optimisation method to maximise channel capacity. In contrast with the existing work, the proposed algorithm guarantees a result to within 99% of the true optimum (i.e. the maximal capacity with selected transmit antennas) with substantially low complexity. The simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm is independent of the relationship between the selected transmit array size and receive array size. The proposed scheme has the potential to make practical MIMO systems with high performance simpler to implement.  相似文献

The communication reliability and system capacity are two of the key performance indicators for Internet of Vehicles (IoV). Existing studies have proposed a variety of technologies to improve reliability and other performance, such as channel selection and power allocation in Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I). However, these researches are mostly applied in a single roadside unit (RSU) scenario without considering inter-cell interference (ICI) of multi-RSUs. In this paper, considering the distribution characteristics of multi-RSUs deployment and corresponding ICI, we propose a reliable uplink transmission scheme to maximize the total capacity and decrease the interference of multi-RSUs (mRSU-DI) in condition of the uplink interruption performance. In the proposed mRSU-DI scheme, ICI is depressed by dynamic channel and power allocation algorithm. A heuristic algorithm based on penalty function is proposed to obtain the optimal power allocation solution of the model. In addition, we realize the scheme in both given conditions of channel state information (CSI) and channel state distribution, respectively. The results show that the proposed scheme can both improve the system capacity and guarantee the reliable transmission in both premises.  相似文献

More spectrum-efficient techniques are required for wireless communications with a limited amount of bandwidth. Space division multiplexing (SDM) is one of the most promising techniques for achieving more efficient bandwidth utilisation, since it enables the transmission rate over multiple-input multiple-output chennels to be increased by using multiple antennas on both the transmitter and receiver sides. Recently, since the cost of RF transmitters is much higher than that of antennas, there is a growing interest in techniques that use a larger number of antennas than RF transmitters. These methods rely on selecting the optimal transmitter antennas and connecting them to the respective RF. In this case, feedback information (FBI) is required to select the optimal transmitter antenna elements. However, the transmission of FBI through a feedback channel is limited. Moreover, a multiple antenna system requires an antenna separation of five to ten wavelengths to keep the correlation coefficient below 0.7 to achieve diversity gain. In this case, the base station requires a large space to set up multiple antennas. To reduce these problems, a transmit sector antenna selection while considering the link correlation for SDM/OFDM without FBI is proposed and analysed.  相似文献

Vertical Bell Labs layered space time-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (VBLAST-OFDM) systems can achieve high spectral efficiency in quasi-stationary links and with channel state information (CSI) matrix knowledge. Owing to the high speeds of nodes in vehicle ad hoc network (VANET), the channel is fast fading thus raising the need for channel tracking. Furthermore, inter-carrier interference (ICI) causes an error floor at high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) even with perfect CSI knowledge. In this paper we investigate channel tracking and ICI mitigation for VBLAST-OFDM. The analysis of ICI shows that it increases with speed, number of subcarriers and/or number of transmit antennas. The authors then introduce a simple channel tracking algorithm for VBLAST-OFDM. Simulation results show that our algorithm reduces the bit error rate (BER) of a 2 x 4 VBLAST system by 1022 at 40 dB SNR and 100 km/h speed compared to obtaining a channel estimate from a training sequence only. The change in the channel response is estimated using the channel tracking algorithm and then passed to an ICI equaliser to enhance performance and reduce the error floor caused by ICI at high SNR. Equalising five pairs of subcarriers gives 4 dB improvement for 2 x 4 VBLAST at 180 km/h relative speed. The performance is enhanced as more subcarriers are included in the ICI equaliser at the expense of increased receiver complexity.  相似文献

The authors propose a new hidden pilot scheme equipped with precoding and its application to orthogonal frequency division multiplexing-ultra-wideband (OFDM-UWB) systems. The proposed scheme can be thought of as an improvement over conventional hidden pilot schemes. By carefully designing precoder and hidden pilot from the view point of frequency diversity, channel estimation and the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR), more frequency diversity gain and reduced PAPR can be achieved. In addition, the authors can support more pilots to estimate a channel providing mitigated self-interference between data symbol and hidden pilot with almost no loss of bandwidth efficiency in OFDM-based UWB communication systems. The authors show improved performance of the proposed scheme over the multiband OFDM scheme through simulations in a realistic UWB channel environment.  相似文献
