In order to make a benchmark validation of the nuclear data for Zr, the leakage neutron spectrum from a Zr sphere of a 61-cm diameter was measured between 0.1 and 16MeV using a time-of-flight technique with a 14MeV neutron source facility, OKTAVIAN. The result was compared with the calculation using the Monte Carlo code MCNP-4A. To investigate the spectrum dependence on the individual neutron reactions, test calculations were carried out with the MCNP-4A code using the JENDL-3.2-based libraries, in which partial cross section values were reduced from the original values. From the comparison between the measured and the calculated spectra, it was found that each of the results could predict well the experiment in general. However, in detail, both ENDF/B-VI and EFF-2.4 gave considerable overestimation above 1 MeV. The JENDL-3.2 predicts the spectrum almost satisfactorily except below 0.8 MeV and around 10 MeV. The discrepancy found in JENDL-3.2 calculation is considered due to the cross section values of the (n, 2n) reaction and its secondary energy distributions (SED). The modified JENDL-3.2 library with the reduced (n, 2n) reaction values and the lower SED below 1 MeV reproduced the experiment with better agreement over the whole energy range.  相似文献

For the precise calculation of the burnup of minor actinide isotopes, a code system-SWAT has been developed. This system analyzes burnup problems with neutron spectrum that depends on the type of a reactor and the irradiation history, using latest evaluated nuclear data files JENDL-3 or ENDF/B-Vl. The post irradiation test in TRINO and the recent experiment in typical PWRs in Japan were analyzed with SWAT. These analyses show that the results of U and Pu for high burnup fuels almost agree with experimental results but those for middle burnup fuels do not agree with them. The results for Am and Cm isotopes still have large discrepancy. The average C/E of 243Am is –0.79, and that of 244Cm is –0.70 for high burnup (–33,000 MWd/tU) samples.

For middle burnup (–25,000 MWd/tU) samples, the C/E for 244Cm is over 2.0. The discrepancy is partially explained by considering the power peaking history of first cycle and second cycle.  相似文献

利用中国原子能科学研究院核数据重点实验室中子积分实验装置,分别完成了氘氚中子与不同尺寸Fe、W样品作用的泄漏中子飞行时间谱实验测量。利用MCNP 4C程序开展了泄漏中子飞行时间谱的模拟计算,Fe和W的评价数据分别采用CENDL 32库及CENDL 31库的数据,并将两数据库模拟结果与实验结果进行对比分析,重点分析了CENDL 32库中Fe和W的数据的改进与不足。结果表明:对Fe中子评价数据,CENDL 32库在弹性散射能区、连续能级非弹性散射能区及分立能级非弹性散射能区,模拟结果均与实验结果符合较好,较CENDL 31库有明显改善;对W中子评价数据,CENDL 32库在非弹性散射能区的模拟结果与实验结果符合较好,较CENDL 31库有明显改善,但在弹性散射能区模拟结果高于实验结果,在(n,2n)反应能区模拟结果低于实验结果。CENDL 32库关于天然W的中子评价数据有待进一步改善。  相似文献

One of the major benefits of the Gas Turbine-Modular Helium Reactor is the capability to operate with several different types of fuel; either Light Water Reactors waste, military plutonium or thorium represent valid candidates as possible types of fuel. In the present studies, we performed a comparison of various nuclear data libraries by the Monte Carlo Continuous Energy Burnup Code MCB applied to the Gas Turbine-Modular Helium Reactor operating on a thorium fuel. A thorium fuel offers valuable attractive advantages: low fuel cost, high reduction of actinides production and the possibility to enable the reactor to act as a breeder of fuel by the neutron capture of fertile 232Th. We evaluated the possibility to mix thorium with small quantities, about 3% in atomic composition, of 239Pu, 233U and 235U. The mass of thorium must be much larger than that one of plutonium or uranium because of the low capture cross section of thorium compared to the fission one of the fissile nuclides; at the same time, the quantity of the fissile isotopes must grant the criticality condition. These two simultaneous constraints force to load a huge mass of fuel in the reactor; consequently, we propose to allocate the fuel in TRISO particles with a large radius of the kernel. For each of the three different fuels we calculated the evolution of the fuel composition by the MCB code equipped with five different nuclear data libraries: JENDL-3.3, JENDL-3.2, JEFF-3, JEF-2.2 and ENDF/B.  相似文献

The results of neutron transport calculations of the He formation based on the JENDL gas-production cross section file are discussed for some metals and alloys, namely 27A1, Ti, 51V, Cr, 55Mn, Fe, Ni, Zr, Mo, austenitic stainless steel (Ti modified 316 SS: PCA), Ni-base alloy (Inconel 625), ferritic steel (Fe-11Cr-1Mo: HT-9), Ti-base alloy (Ti-6A1-4V) and V-base alloy (V-5Cr-5Ti). Impacts of the two shields having the steel-rich and the H2O-rich compositions and the two blankets having the Li2O/Be-base and the liquid Li/Be-base compositions on the He formation rate in the above-mentioned metals and alloys are discussed. The relation between the He formation rate and the fast neutron flux (14.1 MeV>E>0.1 MeV) is investigated. The decrease of He formation at any distance Δ from the first wall more than Δas, the distance where the shape of neutron spectrum reaches its asymptotic form, is modelled by the simple formula based on the exponential dependence, as those reported so far for the fast neutron flux and the displacement damage rate.  相似文献
