The design of direct-drive wheel motors must comply with diameter restrictions due to housing the motor in a wheel rim and allow the achievement of very high torque density and overload capability. Slotless axial-flux permanent magnet machines (AFPMs) prove to be the best candidate for application in electric vehicles as direct-drive wheel motors, as in comparison with conventional machines they allow designs with higher compactness, lightness and efficiency. The paper presents a newly conceived AFPM which has a multistage structure and a water-cooled ironless stator. In the proposed new topology of the machine, the space formerly occupied by the toroidal core becomes a water duct, which removes heat directly from the interior surface of the stator winding. The high efficiency of the machine cooling arrangement allows long-term 100% overload operation and great reduction of the machine weight. The multistage structure of the machine is suited to overcome the restriction on the machine diameter and meet the torque required at the wheel shaft. The paper gives guidelines for the design of a multistage AFPM with water-cooled ironless stator, and describes characteristics of a two-stage prototype machine rated 215 Nm, 1100 RPM 相似文献

This paper presents a gearless wheel motor drive system specifically designed for fuel cell electric and hybrid electric vehicle propulsion application. The system includes a liquid-cooled axial flux permanent-magnet machine designed to meet the direct-drive requirements. The machine design implements techniques to increase the machine inductance in order to improve machine constant power range and high-speed efficiency. The implemented technique reduces machine spin loss to further improve efficiency. The machine design also optimizes the placement of magnets in the rotor to reduce cogging and ripple torque. An original cooling system arrangement based on the use of high thermal conductivity epoxy joining machine stator and liquid-cooled aluminum casing allows the very effective removal of machine power loss. 针对传统异步电机驱动提花喷气织机传动链冗长、系统效率低、噪音大等问题,提出一种永磁电机直驱系统。为保证布匹质量,采用遗传算法优化转子偏心距和极弧系数,削弱电机转矩脉动。由于提花喷气织机负载不断变化,持续影响电机磁热性能,提出一种瞬态磁热双向耦合逐次逼近稳态温升的计算方法。对比分析了不同功率点下电机温升分布规律及电磁性能,得到最佳功率点。最后研制了一台3.1 kW的样机并进行试验,试验数据与仿真结果基本吻合,验证了所提的采用瞬态磁热双向耦合逐次逼近稳态温升进而选取最佳功率点的合理性,为提花喷气织机直驱永磁电机设计提供了依据。 相似文献

The variable-speed driven pump can result in significant energy conservation where reduced flow rates are required for long periods of time. In regard to adjustable-speed pump drives, one major contribution of this paper is the demonstration that a permanent magnet (PM) motor based on the slotless axial-flux permanent magnet machine (AFPM) topology can be a suitable candidate to advantageously compete with the induction motor for such a low-cost drive application. For the purpose of a cost comparison, the paper discusses design and construction of a prototype machine which has been conceived to replace a 1.2 HP induction motor being used in a standard adjustable-speed pump drive. 初级永磁型游标直线(LPPMV)电机具有低速、大推力输出特性,特别适用于直线直驱系统。设计合理的绕组连接方式可有效改善电机性能。首先根据电机的运行原理,针对一台6/2极LPPMV电机提出了4种不同的绕组连接方式;其次通过有限元法,比较了LPPMV电机在不同绕组连接方式下的特性,包括空载感应电动势、电感,并在相同铜耗条件下计算了绕组的总质量、电枢电流、推力、铁心磁通密度以及铁耗等,以此得到了不同绕组连接方式下电机的运行效率;最后折中选择了一种绕组连接方式,制造了样机,并通过实验验证了电机的性能。 相似文献

This paper examines the design and the performances of a permanent-magnet assisted synchronous reluctance motor (PMASRM) for wide constant-power operation. The effects of properly adding magnets into the rotor of a synchronous reluctance motor are examined by several experimental results and analyses on the prototype machines. The proposed machine can offer a large constant-power speed range, high-efficiency and high-power-factor operation in comparison to the complete synchronous reluctance motor. It was shown that the problems such as the decrease of efficiency at light-loads and the uncontrolled generator mode operation, which occur in the high-speed flux-weakening operation of the conventional PM motor drives, can be eliminated in the PM-assisted synchronous reluctance motor 相似文献

The feasibility and design of permanent magnet servomotors for direct-drive application at a power level near 10 kW at 270 r/min are investigated. Such applications imply low-speed machines with a great amount of iron and permanent magnet material. The compromise between the specific energy and the cost of magnets is one of the usual guides for designing such motors. The performance of an actual prototype shows that the use of low-cost ferrite material associated with a proper flux-concentration structure of a magnetic circuit is especially interesting at this power level. The design procedure is presented with a prediction of the performance based on field calculations, which can be compared with experimental results of generator operation. The motor can be used in several brushless configurations. An evaluation of the performance, in each case, according to the kind of static converter and control strategy is presented. Several improved models and computer simulations are used. The adaptation of the rotor damper circuits to the supply is also discussed. 相似文献

A servo system based on a surface-wound slotless brushless servo motor to achieve extremely low torque ripple is described. Torque ripple measurement and specification are discussed; the design was a design made feasible by the introduction of neodymium-iron-boron (Nd-FeB) magnet material. System torque ripple data of less than 1.5% are presented along with the generated back electromotive force of the slotless motor design.
