详细分析了直线轨道上运动通信的特点,设计和研制了一种具有双向收发功能的直线运动型无线光通信系统。该系统主要包括1 550 nm半导体激光器、高灵敏度PIN光探测器、球面单透镜式光发射天线和实心光锥耦合式光接收天线等关键部件。130 m运动工作距离的系统性能测试结果表明,在3.5 m/s最高运动速度、240Mbit/s通信传输速率下,运动中的数据丢帧率为零,以太网和视频指标均满足实际应用要求,系统适用于存在直线运动轨道的无线光通信场合。  相似文献

A test chip for an integrated full cmos led driver has been realized with a modulation current of 60 mA at a maximum bit rate of 155 Mbit/s. A cmos receiver is evaluated to amplify pin diode photo currents less than 10 μA at the same bit rate of 155 Mbit/s. Both circuits are integrated on one chip. An experimental 155.52 Mb/s coherent broadcast network with 16 channels using a conventional distributed feedback (DFB) laser operating at 1540 nm is described. It includes absolute laser frequency stabilization, a fiber span of 74.4 km, and a balanced polarization-diversity single-filter frequency-shift keying (FSK) heterodyne receiver. It has been confirmed by a preliminary transmission experiment that a repeater spacing at 800 Mbits/s can be lengthened up to 7.3 km, by using a combination of a low-loss single-mode fiber and a well designed AlGaAs laser. The laser is modulated by a signal current superimposed on a dc bias current above the threshold. This modulation scheme avoids the spectrum broadening of the laser at the cost of extinction ratio degradation. A discrepancy of about 13 dB exists between the measured and the calculated error-rate performance curves. The major part of the discrepancy, 10 dB, is due to the extinction ratio degradation.  相似文献

A set of three bipolar integrated circuits for a new fiber-optic link is described. The link operates at data rates of 5-200 Mb/s NRZ. The optical transmitter and receiver modules are compact and fit into standard 16-pin dual-in-line sockets. The power consumption of the transmitter module is 530 mW and the receiver module dissipates 310 mW. The optical loss budget is 20 dB, which is sufficient for link lengths of up to 5 or 6 km. The circuits have been designed in a 3-/spl mu/m bipolar process. The chip sizes are 2 mm/spl times/1.75 mm each.  相似文献

An optical PSK heterodyne synchronous detection experiment was performed at a bit rate of 560 Mbit/s using carrier recovery in the IF stage. A coherent optical receiver using a multiport optical coupler to provide phase diversity is described. By this means, only homodyne bandwidth is required in the signal processing, but with tolerances on the frequency tracking typical of heterodyne systems. Measured sensitivities with limited local-oscillator power are ?47.5 dBm at 320 Mbit/s and ?42 dBm at 680 Mbit/s. The results at the higher bit rate are strongly influenced by limited receiver module bandwidth.  相似文献

Introduction of monolithic integrated circuit technology to high bit rate optical repeater is studied. Monolithic integrated amplifiers are realised for a 400 Mbit/s optical repeater such as a preamplifier, AGC amplifier and postamplifier, using advanced silicon bipolar process technology. An equalising amplifier with four monolithic amplifiers got 66 dB maximum gain, 35 dB variable gain and 350 MHz band-width with 550 mW power consumption.  相似文献

Performance of a diffuse optical link may potentially be degraded by temporal dispersions resulting from surface reflections. In order to devise techniques to alleviate the adverse effect of dispersion, an accurate channel model is needed. Obtaining the impulse response (IR) for a given receiver location requires consideration not only of the direct path, but also of reflections up to nth order. The IR is only valid for a specific location and specific receiver parameters. If a receiver moves, the IR has to be recalculated. We propose a new approach for characterizing diffuse links that results in a tremendous saving in calculation and also gives more insight into the channel characteristics. The new approach is based on consolidating the dependence of receiver parameters, transmitter parameters, and the indoor environment into independent components. Thus, changing one of the parameters of the link requires recalculation of one of these components. The new model is utilized to obtain an accurate profile of delay spread and received power throughout a room.  相似文献

Thermal reliability of an uncooled Fabry-Perot laser diode (F-PLD) wavelength-locked to spectrum-sliced amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) as a source for wavelength division multiplexed-passive optical networks (WDM-PONs) is presented. An F-PLD with narrow mode spacing and asymmetric facet reflectivity relieved temperature dependency of transmission and power requirement of ASE injection. Transmission at 560 Mbit/s has been demonstrated using single-mode fibre and LEDs at 1300 nm. Surface-emitting, edge-emitting and super-radiant LEDs were used to transmit over maximum distances of 4.5 km, 15 km and 25 km, respectively. The letter reports the 8000 m deep-sea trial of a 400 Mbit/s submarine optical system, FS-400M, which was carried out in the Ogasawara trench in November 1984. Two repeaters fully integrated by six monolithic ICs, and 28 km-long submarine cables were used. In addition to transmission experiments for repeater spacing of 40 km, repair operation was simulated to confirm operational feasibility of the FS-400M.  相似文献
