A novel type of dual-mode microstrip bandpass filter using degenerate modes of a dual-mode microstrip square loop resonator with capacitively loaded open-loop arms is proposed. Such a dual-mode bandpass filter with a 0.75% bandwidth at the center frequency of 1.603 GHz is designed and fabricated to demonstrate the design of reduced-size microstrip filters. It is shown that the proposed filter has a size reduction of about 59% at the same center frequency, as compared with the dual-mode bandpass filters such as microstrip patch, cross-slotted patch, square loop and ring resonator filter.  相似文献

A reconfigurable bandpass filter with asymmetrical responses is demonstrated using a dual-mode microstrip resonator. The proposed topology introduces several fixed and switchable perturbations to control the center frequency and the location of the transmission zeros of the filter. The tuning mechanism consists of capacitively loading the edges of a modified square patch resonator, in order to manipulate the current distribution of the degenerate modes. This operation results in asymmetrical responses with a center frequency tuning ratio of 10% at$X$band, and angular transmission zero displacement of$Deltaomega_z=$3.5rad/s or greater in both a lower and higher side of the passband.  相似文献

A novel dual-mode microstrip square loop resonator is proposed using the slow-wave and dispersion features of the microstrip slow-wave open-loop resonator. It is shown that the designed and fabricated dual-mode microstrip filter has a wide stopband including the first spurious resonance frequency. Also, it has a size reduction of about 50% at the same center frequency, as compared with the dual-mode bandpass filters such as microstrip patch, cross-slotted patch, square loop, and ring resonator filter.  相似文献

根据传统的方形贴片双模滤波器,提出了一种新颖的带有两个切角的平面双模带通滤波器结构.该结构使用单个贴片谐振器并且没有耦合缝隙,通带两端各有一个衰减极点,有效减小了滤波器的辐射损耗.对该滤波器结构进行改进,又提出了一种带有两个相互正交、长度不等槽线的双模椭圆函数带通滤波器结构.该滤波器在中心频率1.8GHz处,回波损耗达到31.53 dB,通带内最小插损达到0.01 dB,3 dB相对带宽为19.44%.采用Ansotf公司的En-sem ble 8.0仿真软件进行的仿真研究.仿真结果表明该结构可以更加有效地减小辐射损耗,增加带宽,且体积比传统滤波器减小了约40%,有利于小型化.  相似文献

首先提出了一种新颖、简单的带有两个切角的双模微带带通滤波器结构。该结构使用单个贴片谐振器并且没有耦合缝隙,通带两端各有一个衰减极点,可以有效减小滤波器的辐射损耗。对该滤波器结构进一步改进,又提出了一种中心频率1.8GHz相互正交槽线的新型双模微带带通滤波器结构。该滤波器在中心频率1.8GHz处,回波损耗达到31.65dB,通带内最小插损为0.01dB,3dB带宽为19.44%。研究结果表明该结构可以进一步减小辐射损耗,并且可以减小滤波器的体积,有利于小型化。  相似文献

To realize the feature of small size and high selectivity, a microstrip miniature fractal quasi-elliptic bandpass filter (BPF) with two transmission zeros (TZs) near each skirt is investigated in this paper. The TZs are created by source-load coupling between the input and output E-shaped feeding structures. By using a dual-mode Minkowski fractal shorted stub loaded open-loop resonator, the proposed BPF achieved a size reduction of 97.5% compared with the conventional square dual-mode loop BPF. Even mode analysis is adopted to characterize the Minkowski structure. The frequency responses of the current BPF were simulated and measured with good agreement.  相似文献

从理论上分析了开路支节加载双频谐振器的谐振模式,通过在谐振器末端加载变容二极管的方式,设计了一款双通带独立可调谐滤波器。通过调节谐振器末端变容二极管电容值大小来改变通带的中心频率,通过调节支节末端的变容二极管来调节通带的带宽。该滤波器的两个通带之间相互独立,调谐其中一个通带对另一个通带几乎没有影响。通过引入源与负载的耦合,使得双通带两侧各产生一个传输零点,提高了滤波器的选择性和带外抑制能力。最终设计出的滤波器第一通带的中心频率在1.08~1.19 GHz之间连续可调,绝对带宽在112~152 MHz之间连续可调;第二通带中心频率在2.07~2.22 GHz 之间连续可调,其绝对带宽在132~189 MHz 之间连续可调。在调谐过程中,通过调节中心开路支节末端变容二极管加载直流电压大小,实现调谐过程两通带带宽基本维持不变。  相似文献

In this letter, a dual-mode dual-band bandpass filter using stacked-loop structure is proposed, which allows two transmission paths to radio frequency (RF) signals. Each of them using dual-mode resonators results in respective passband. This can provide convenience to easily change one passband frequency, while another keeps almost the same. Several attenuation poles in the stopband are realized to improve the selectivity of the proposed bandpass filter. The theoretical and measured results are presented and show good agreement.  相似文献

This paper presents a novel millimeter-wave ultra-wideband (UWB) bandpass filter (BPF) based on microstrip dual-mode rectangular ring resonators. In order to get strong coupling between the input/output line and the dual-mode ring resonators, a step-impedance parallel-coupled structure is adopted for the design of the filter. On the other hand, transmission zeros are produced by the dual-mode resonator. As a consequence, the filter has low insertion-loss in its passband, sharp attenuation in its lower and upper stopbands and very wide stopbands. As an example, a filter with two dual-mode ring resonators is designed and fabricated. The measured frequency property of the fabricated filter shows good agreement with the simulated response.  相似文献

Analysis of microwave resonators with dual-mode oscillations is conducted. A new type of resonators is discovered in which dual-node oscillations are observed. It represents a half-wave resonator with a short-circuit in the middle part. The length of such a resonator is twice less than the length of a widely used ring resonator. It is shown that in resonators of the loop type combined frequency tuning of dual-mode oscillations is accomplished using capacity and inductance. In the loop-type resonators with a stub frequency tuning of dual-mode oscillations is accomplishing with two capacities synchronously changing their values according to a specific law. Design of Dual-Band Bandpass Filters Using Stub-Loaded Open-Loop Resonators   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
In this paper, open-loop resonators loaded by shunt open stubs are proposed to design compact dual-band bandpass filters with improved out-of-band rejection characteristics. The second passband of the dual-band filter is obtained by tuning higher resonant modes of the open-loop resonator by the stub length and position. A tapped-line input/output feed structure is used for external coupling. Required external coupling is obtained by adjusting the tapping position and dimension of the stub-loaded resonator. A lossless transmission line model is used to determine the resonance properties of the resonator and the external quality factor. Theoretical predictions are verified by the experimental results of three dual-band filters.  相似文献

In this letter, a novel circular open-loop resonator is presented. The field patterns of this type of dual-mode resonator are investigated using full-wave electromagnetic simulations. The applications of the dual-mode resonator as bandpass filters are proposed. A coupling and routing scheme is presented to model the operations of these filters. Advantages of using this type of filter are not only its low insertion loss, but also its controllable transmission zeros. Both simulated and measured results are presented.  相似文献

A new 60 GHz fourth-order cross-coupled bandpass filter using a step- impedance-resonator (SIR) miniaturised open-loop resonator and the miniaturised-hairpin (MH) resonator was designed and fabricated on 0.13 mum bulk CMOS. It has 8.5 GHz (58-66.5 GHz) bandwidth, 5.9 dB insertion loss, and better than 10 dB return loss over the whole passband, and exhibits high selectivity and a compact size of 714.9 times 484 mum (0.346 mm ). This filter is the first reported cross-coupled filter above 40 GHz on CMOS.  相似文献

We proposed a fractal-based dual-mode bandpass filter (BPF) using a standard CMOS process for application of 60 GHz WirelessHD system. We first investigated the effect of coupling feedlines of I/O ports set at different layer of M3 and M4 layer on the transmission loss of the resonator, and verified the nature coupling of fractal-based dual-mode filter. Experimental result shows that the designed filter with a fractional-bandwidth (FBW) of 23%, an insertion loss about 7 dB and return loss larger than 10 dB. Additionally, two transmission zeros are appeared at the passband edges, thus much improve the selectivity of the proposed CMOS BPF. The result indicates that fractal-based structure is feasible and can meet the requirement in the mm-wave application.  相似文献

In this paper, a new capacitively stepped-impedance resonator(CSIR) is proposed to develop the microstrip square-loop dual-mode bandpass filter. Using this new design, simultaneous size reduction and spurious response suppression for the dual-mode bandpass filter can be achieved. An analytical formulation of this novel resonator is given in order to elucidate the spurious frequencies relocation design. Together with this formulation, a generalized dual-mode bandpass filter model is developed so as to ease the analysis of transmission zero and insertion loss. A prototype filter is designed at 900MHz with 1.5% fractional bandwidth. Significant spurious suppressions up to 33 and 35 dB are measured at 1.8 and at 2.7 GHz, respectively. A circuitry size reduction of 54% is achieved when compared with that of the conventional structure. Moreover, the CSIR allows frequency tuning and, thus, a varactor-tuned filter is designed and a measured tunable center frequency between 1.5-1.62GHz is demonstrated. Utilizing the proposed structure, not only size reduction,as well as spurious response suppression, but also center frequency tuning can be achieved.  相似文献

A novel dual-mode ring resonator with self-coupled segments, called a self-coupled ring resonator, is proposed. The self-coupling between ring segments provides the same mode perturbation effect as the conventional methods of adding stub, cutting notch, or varying line impedance on the ring resonator. The mode perturbation and transmission-zero generation due to the self-coupling effect are analyzed with the even-odd mode theory. The self-coupled ring resonator can have the capacitive or inductive perturbation simply by controlling the impedance ratio and coupling coefficients of self-coupled sections. For both perturbation cases, the transmission zeros exist at even multiples of the passband center frequency, resulting in wide stopband range. Also, only for the capacitive perturbation case, two transmission zeros are found on both sides of the passband, which brings a pseudo-elliptic bandpass response. In comparison with the regular uniform ring resonator, the self-coupled ring resonator takes shorter ring length, giving the compact size feature when applied to a bandpass filter design. A 2.45-GHz low-temperature co-fired ceramic bandpass filter based on the self-coupled ring resonator was designed to verify the proposed theory.  相似文献

A miniature dual-mode microstrip open-loop resonator is proposed. Distinct characteristics of this new type of dual-mode resonator are investigated using full-wave electromagnetic simulations. It is shown that the two operating modes, i.e., the even and odd modes, within a single dual-mode resonator of this type do not couple. It is also found that there is a finite-frequency transmission zero inherently associated with the even mode. Two two-pole filters using this type of dual-mode resonator are demonstrated with opposite asymmetric responses, which result from different locations of the transmission zero. Higher order filters of this type are also investigated. Both simulated and measured results are presented.  相似文献

New designs of planar three-resonator bandpass filters with cross coupling having a large variety of frequency characteristics are considered. In addition to better one-sided selectivity, such filters implement symmetric amplitude–frequency characteristics with an attenuation pole at each side of the passband. These filters can also have constant delay time in the passband. Concatenation of the proposed three-resonator filters leads to multiresonator filters with high selectivity determined by two attenuation poles at each side of the passband. It is found that the type of connection of the middle resonator in the circuit of a three-resonator filter with cross coupling results in substantial differences in amplitude–frequency characteristics. The results of modeling of different frequency characteristics are presented. It is shown that filters have small dimensions, which are comparable to overall dimensions of microwave ceramic filters. For example, dimensions of a three-resonator stripline filter designed for a frequency of 1.9 GHz are 9.4 × 5 × 2 mm for the permittivity of the filter material εr = 92 and dimensions of a six-resonator filter are 10 × 9.4 × 2 mm.  相似文献

为了实现微波滤波器的小型化,文中设计了一个新型的三角贴片加槽双模滤波器。通过加槽的设计,使谐振器的工作频率进一步降低,从而实现了滤波器的小型化及低损耗;同时研究了该结构尺寸参数的变化对通带中心频率的影响。最后利用HFSS对滤波器进行了仿真,得到工作频率为2.352~45 GHz以及5.64~5.65 GHz的双通带带通滤波器。整个滤波器采用微带结构,经过仿真优化,得到的滤波器的滤波特性符合预期的要求。  相似文献
