A precise absolute intensity calibration of a flat-field space-resolved extreme ultraviolet (EUV) spectrometer working in wavelength range of 60-400 ? is carried out using a new calibration technique based on radial profile measurement of the bremsstrahlung continuum in Large Helical Device. A peaked vertical profile of the EUV bremsstrahlung continuum has been successfully observed in high-density plasmas (n(e) ≥ 10(14) cm(-3)) with hydrogen ice pellet injection. The absolute calibration can be done by comparing the EUV bremsstrahlung profile with the visible bremsstrahlung profile of which the absolute value has been already calibrated using a standard lamp. The line-integrated profile of measured visible bremsstrahlung continuum is firstly converted into the local emissivity profile by considering a magnetic surface distortion due to the plasma pressure, and the local emissivity profile of EUV bremsstrahlung is secondly calculated by taking into account the electron temperature profile and free-free gaunt factor. The line-integrated profile of the EUV bremsstrahlung continuum is finally calculated from the local emissivity profile in order to compare with measured EUV bremsstrahlung profile. The absolute intensity calibration can be done by comparing measured and calculated EUV bremsstrahlung profiles. The calibration factor is thus obtained as a function of wavelength with excellent accuracy. It is also found in the profile analysis that the grating reflectivity of EUV emissions is constant along the direction perpendicular to the wavelength dispersion. Uncertainties on the calibration factor determined with the present method are discussed including charge-coupled device operation modes.  相似文献

A space-resolved extreme ultraviolet (EUV) spectrometer working in wavelength range of 50-500 A? has been developed to measure two-dimensional distribution of impurity spectral lines emitted from edge plasma of Large Helical Device (LHD), in which the magnetic field is formed by stochastic magnetic field with three-dimensional structure called ergodic layer. The two-dimensional measurement of edge impurity line emissions is carried out by scanning horizontally the observation chord of the space-resolved EUV spectrometer during single LHD discharge. Images of CIV (312.4 A?) and HeII (303.78 A?) are presented as the first result. The results are compared with ones calculated from the edge chord length in the ergodic layer of LHD plasma.  相似文献

A beam emission spectroscopy (BES) system was developed for density gradient and fluctuation diagnostics in the Large Helical Device (LHD). In order to cover the large Doppler shift of the Hα beam emission because of the high-energy negative-ion-based neutral beam atom (acceleration voltage V(acc)=90-170?kV) and the large motional Stark splitting due to the large v×B field (magnetic field B=3.0?T), a grating spectrometer was used instead of a conventional interference filter system. The reciprocal linear dispersion is about 2 nm/mm, which is sufficient to cover the motional Stark effect spectra using an optical fiber with a diameter of 1 mm.  相似文献

Different metal targets were investigated as possible source material for tailored laser-produced plasma-sources. In the wavelength range from 1 to 20 nm, x-ray spectra were collected with a calibrated spectrometer with a resolution of λ/Δλ = 150 at 1 nm up to λ/Δλ = 1100 at 15 nm. Intense line emission features of highly ionized species as well as continuum-like spectra from unresolved transitions are presented. With this knowledge, the optimal target material can be identified for the envisioned application of the source in x-ray spectrometry on the high energy side of the spectra at about 1 keV. This energy is aimed for because 1 keV-radiation is ideally suited for L-shell x-ray spectroscopy with nm-depth resolution.  相似文献

综述了我所软X射线-极紫外波段关键技术的研究进展。描述了软X射线-极紫外波段光源技术,研制了工作波段为6~22 nm的微流靶激光等离子体光源;介绍了光子计数成像探测器技术,研制出了有效直径为25 mm,等效像元分辨率为0.3 mm的极紫外波段探测器;开展了超光滑表面加工、检测技术的研究,研制了超光滑表面抛光机,加工出高面形精度的超光滑表面,面形精度为6 nm(RMS值),表面粗糙度达0.6 nm(RMS值);进行了软X射线-极紫外波段多层膜技术的研究,研制出13 nm处反射率为60%的多层膜反射镜,150 mm口径反射镜的反射率均匀性优于±2.5%;最后,讨论了软X射线-极紫外波段测量技术研究,研制出该波段反射率计,其测量范围为5~50 nm,光谱分辨率好于0.2 nm,测量重复性好于±1%。在上述关键技术研究基础上,研制出了极紫外波段成像仪和空间极紫外波段太阳望远镜,这些仪器在我国空间科学研究项目中发挥了作用。  相似文献

Wear measurement based on the radionuclide-technique (RNT) is a unique way to determine the tribological performance of a system continuously and in real-time. Due to its extremely high resolution and accuracy this method is especially suited to mechanical systems showing low wear rates. When simultaneously to wear, friction is also measured, dynamic processes like running-in can be assessed precisely. This leads to a deeper understanding of the fundamental mechanisms of the wear process. The method, therefore, can be used for applied as well as for detailed basic research. This paper deals with the fundamentals of RNT and its application. Although most of the examples come from combustion engine tribology, the findings can be generalized to other areas of mechanical engineering.  相似文献

For evaluation of measurement uncertainty for conducted emission measurements, we propose a new model which uses mixed distribution. Namely, evaluation of probability density function (PDF) for the measurand has been done using a Monte Carlo method and a modified least-squares method. As the Monte Carlo method required numerical calculation of approximate PDF values, pseudorandom number generator (PRNG) was developed for these requirements. For illustration, this work presents mixed distributions of two normal distributions, normal and rectangular distributions, and normal and also triangular distributions in case of conducted emission measurements. The results obtained by the Monte Carlo method and the modified least-squares method are compared to the corresponding results when applying the standard Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM) procedure.  相似文献

Acoustic emission (AE) signals were used to investigate the contact force occurring at the head/disk interface of a computer hard drive. The AE sensor was calibrated directly using the “ball drop method” and indirectly using system identification. For the indirect calibration, a high bandwidth laser Doppler vibrometer (LDV) was used. The transfer function was established from the harmonic response derived at different vibration modes and frequencies. A finite element method based transient response simulation of impact was used to estimate the velocity and stress response of the slider. In our experiments, contact forces were found to be in the range of 5–25 mN for nano sliders and 2–10 mN for pico sliders.  相似文献

为了保证月基极紫外相机在卫星发射、地月变轨及月表着陆过程中的大量级振动冲击、月表超大温差环境以及尽量轻的相机重量条件下,反射镜相对于探测器的位置精度要求,设计并研制了基于CFRP(carbon fiber reinforeed plastic)的反射镜与探测器间的支撑结构,分析并试验验证了支撑结构的稳定性.首先,根据极紫外相机的光学系统,确定了反射镜与探测器间的支撑结构形式;然后,考虑相机重量及反射镜相对探测器的位置精度及稳定性要求,采用CFRP作为支撑结构的结构材料;分析了重力和温度载荷作用下反射镜相对探测器间的角度变化量、反射镜面形;支撑结构的固有频率以及在整机上的正弦振动、随机振动应力响应.试验结果表明:反射镜相对探测器间的角度变化量<20″,验证试验后图像分辨率,满足相机技术指标要求.  相似文献

For physical and chemical sensing applications, a bimorph actuated staggered mirror (BASM) microsensor was designed and fabricated by surface micromachining using a transparent quartz substrate. While the conventional cantilever sensors have angular deflection, BASM’s moving mirror performs piston-type pure vertical motion in response to environmental stimuli like temperature change and surface stress change due to molecular adsorption. Since the sensor itself has a fixed or reference mirror as well as a moving mirror, 1) an interferometric measurement is possible without an additional reference mirror in off-axis measurement setup, and 2) vibration measurement noise can be reduced. For preliminary test purposes, interferometric measurement using an optical setup was performed for temperature change. At He-Ne line (632.8 nm), a temperature change of ∼0.8 K caused a minimum-to-maximum interferometric light intensity change which corresponds to ∼144 nm shift of the moving mirror part. An optical diffraction analysis was performed and optimal device parameters were found to maximize the sensor sensitivity.  相似文献

Collective Thomson scattering (CTS) system has been constructed at LHD making use of the high power electron cyclotron resonance heating (ECRH) system in Large Helical Device (LHD). The necessary features for CTS, high power probing beams and receiving beams, both with well defined Gaussian profile and with the fine controllability, are endowed in the ECRH system. The 32 channel radiometer with sharp notch filter at the front end is attached to the ECRH system transmission line as a CTS receiver. The validation of the CTS signal is performed by scanning the scattering volume. A new method to separate the CTS signal from background electron cyclotron emission is developed and applied to derive the bulk and high energy ion components for several combinations of neutral beam heated plasmas.  相似文献

The development of a new probing method to inspect the inner diameter of micro-scale holes is presented in this paper. This was accomplished by contact detection using acoustic emission with a Ø170 μm rotating wire probe tip. Contact is detected when the rotating probe approaches and impacts the hole’s inner surface. The effective diameter of the rotating probe is calibrated by using a high precision grade 0 Mitutoyo gauge block. The wire rotating probe used was fabricated with micro stainless steel wire and micro tubes. The probe’s effective diameter was compensated for in the measurement of the hole. The probe was used to measure the diameter and the roundness of micro-scale holes. Probes used in previous publications have different geometry than the probe in this paper and are used almost exclusively for external dimensions. Micro-scale holes of less than 1.0 mm in diameter and 10 mm in depth are successfully measured and the 3D profile is created accordingly. Also, the out-of-roundness values of each level spacing, 50 μm apart in height, are calculated.  相似文献

Recently flow investigation around cylindrical obstacles has attracted much attention considering its application to river and offshore environment. Scour around obstacles is the major cause of their foundation failure. This failure occurs in extreme cases of unsteady flows interacting with a given structure and with changing bed condition. In order to reduce the tremendous amount of expenses involved in either over-designing those foundations or rebuilding damaged structures, precise flow measurement instrument is essential. In the present study, the Acoustic-Doppler Velocimeter (ADV) has been utilized in the laboratory to investigate the flow characteristics around cylindrical piers on a scoured bed under various wave-current combinations. Some of these results are reported in this paper and the suitability of the ADV in this field is explained.  相似文献

This recently developed diagnostic was designed to allow for time-gated spectroscopic study of the EUV radiation (4 nm < λ < 15 nm) present during harsh wire array z-pinch implosions. The spectrometer utilizes a 25 μm slit, an array of 3 spherical blazed gratings at grazing incidence, and a microchannel plate (MCP) detector placed in an off-Rowland position. Each grating is positioned such that its diffracted radiation is cast over two of the six total independently timed frames of the MCP. The off-Rowland configuration allows for a much greater spectral density on the imaging plate but only focuses at one wavelength per grating. The focal wavelengths are chosen for their diagnostic significance. Testing was conducted at the Zebra pulsed-power generator (1 MA, 100 ns risetime) at the University of Nevada, Reno on a series of wire array z-pinch loads. Within this harsh z-pinch environment, radiation yields routinely exceed 20 kJ in the EUV and soft x-ray. There are also strong mechanical shocks, high velocity debris, sudden vacuum changes during operation, energic ion beams, and hard x-ray radiation in excess of 50 keV. The spectra obtained from the precursor plasma of an Al double planar wire array contained lines of Al IX and AlX ions indicating a temperature near 60 eV during precursor formation. Detailed results will be presented showing the fielding specifications and the techniques used to extract important plasma parameters using this spectrometer.  相似文献

This paper presents an online prediction of tool wear using acoustic emission (AE) in turning titanium (grade 5) with PVD-coated carbide tools. In the present work, the root mean square value of AE at the chip–tool contact was used to detect the progression of flank wear in carbide tools. In particular, the effect of cutting speed, feed, and depth of cut on tool wear has been investigated. The flank surface of the cutting tools used for machining tests was analyzed using energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy technique to determine the nature of wear. A mathematical model for the prediction of AE signal was developed using process parameters such as speed, feed, and depth of cut along with the progressive flank wear. A confirmation test was also conducted in order to verify the correctness of the model. Experimental results have shown that the AE signal in turning titanium alloy can be predicted with a reasonable accuracy within the range of process parameters considered in this study.  相似文献

A fast electron bremsstrahlung (FEB) diagnostic technique based on cadmium telluride (CdTe) detector has been developed recently in the HL-2A tokamak for measurements of the temporal evolution of FEB emission in the energy range of 10-200 keV. With a perpendicular viewing into the plasma on the equatorial plane, the hard x-ray spectra with eight different energy channels are measured. The discrimination of the spectra is implemented by an accurate spectrometry. The system also makes use of fast digitization and software signal processing technology. An ambient environment of neutrons, gammas, and magnetic disturbance requires careful shielding. During electron cyclotron resonance heating, the generation of fast electrons and the oscillations of electron fishbone (e-fishbone) have been found. Using the FEB measurement system, it has been experimentally identified that the mode strongly correlates with the electron cyclotron resonance heating produced fast electrons with 30-70 keV.  相似文献

An energetic helium neutral beam is involved in the beam neutralization measurement system of alpha particles confined in a DT fusion plasma. A full size strong-focusing He(+) ion source (2 A, the beam radius of 11.3 mm, the beam energy less than 20 keV). Present strong-focusing He(+) ion source shows an emittance diagram separated for each beamlet of multiple apertures without phase space mixing, despite the space charge of a beamlet is asymmetric and the beam flow is non-laminar. The emittance of beamlets in the peripheral region was larger than that of center. The heat load to the plasma electrode was studied to estimate the duty factor for the ITER application.  相似文献

The present paper describes a procedure to measure the velocity vector (3D) of a spherical object using an electro-optical device configured as a single large detection area optical barrier. The proposed procedure allows a measurement accuracy up to 0.1% in some cases and presents several advantages in relation to other measurement procedures like image processing, doppler-radar and some other electro-optical devices. The procedure is independent of the relative position of the measurement device in relation to the object trajectory. The fact of using a single optical barrier reduces the space required in the movement direction and increase the cases where the device can be used. A prototype has been built and tested.  相似文献
