地球静止轨道(geostationary earth orbit,GEO)卫星轨道位置资源稀缺已久,巨型低轨卫星星座的发展浪潮使得低轨轨道资源也变得空前紧张,中地球轨道(medium earth orbit,MEO)星座作为GEO和低地球轨道(low earth orbit,LEO)星座的折中,必将成为各国博弈的角逐场,参考世界各MEO星座和我国国情,提出了一种(6+4)MEO星座方案,并使用STK(Satellite Tool Kit)软件对星座覆盖性能、星际链路特性和信关站选址及覆盖性能进行了仿真分析,该方案通过地面站中继实现轨道间通信,有效规避了利用星际链路实现轨际通信时存在的各种问题,使系统得到简化、可靠性得到提高,在全球低轨卫星轨道资源紧张的形势下具有很强的战略价值。 相似文献

利用覆盖带法,设计了全球连续覆盖低轨道(LEO,lowearth orbit)/中轨道(MEO,mediumearth orbit)双层卫星光网络结构。LEO层是一个零相位因子walkerdelta星座,系统具准静态的Mesh逻辑结构。MEO层由赤道和极地轨道两个轨道组成,补充了LEO层对赤道地区覆盖的不足。覆盖性能结果表明,该网络上升轨道卫星对全球提供99.9%的平均覆盖,对我国提供100%的覆盖。链路性能仿真表明,双层卫星网络结构网络拓扑稳定,相邻节点仰角变化范围小,非常适合激光链路,与国外同类型星座相比所需卫星数少。 相似文献

低轨(LEO)宽带星座卫星通信作为地面5G无线通信系统的重要补充,始终面临地面可视卫星数量大、传统选星算法计算复杂度高等难题。为实现高效的卫星分组选择算法,基于多输入多输出(MIMO)系统原理,以大尺度路径损耗模型为基础,结合递减卫星选择算法,从而以较低计算复杂度、更快收敛速度有效逼近最优容量性能。该算法在典型LEO星座系统构型下通过数值仿真得到了验证,为未来5G低轨卫星星座通信传输方案设计提供了一种参考思路。 相似文献

In mobile communication systems, mobility modeling is involved in several aspects such as signaling and traffic load analysis. In particular, accurate mobility models are essential for the evaluation of the system design alternatives and network implementation cost issues. In this paper, we propose a mobility model that is appropriate for practical analysis of the mobile systems' design issues. Our model provides different levels of details for the user mobility behavior and can be adapted to any environmental topology. This model considers direction and velocity of the user mobility. The motion direction is modeled based on real street patterns and is described by discrete state Gauss–Markov technique whose parameters are calculated by combining the information derived by the topological map and wireless network performance report (WNPR) of the simulation area. In the proposed method, the user velocity is assumed to be the average velocity that is found based on traffic condition and type of the street. The computational complexity of our model is to the extent that can be used not only in mobility management test procedures but also in order to calculate some useful parameters of these procedures. In this paper, we apply real data to validate the proposed model by simulation which is used to confirm the accuracy of the proposed model and its analytical analysis. Currently many efforts are undertaken to develop and install communication networks based on low Earth orbit (LEO) and intermediate circular orbit (ICO) satellites. However, many problems are to be solved before the final operation of such networks. This paper deals with basic design problems of LEO/ICO-based networks. The topology of the satellite network is considered and estimates for the number of satellites necessary, orbits and number of communication channels per satellite are derived. The features and consequences of intersatellite links are discussed. The number of communication channels per link is derived with a more elaborate model. This includes the radio links from the satellites to mobile users and to gateways, as well as intersatellite links and terrestrial lines. We introduce a formal model for LEO/ICO based networks and propose a method for the evaluation of the link capacities, given the network topology and the traffic requirements. As an example, two constellations are investigated in detail. One of these constellations is the Iridium system proposed by Motorola, the other is the LEONET concept developed in an ESA study. The spectacular growth of cellular telephone networks has demonstrated the demand for personal communications. Communication systems based on low earth orbit (LEO) constellations of satellites seem to be an adequate approach to achieve a world-wide network. When defining the capacity in terms of satellite circuits, the network designer has to take into account the handover traffic. Unfortunately, in a LEO communication network where handover is most often due to the network nodes motion, handover traffic models for terrestrial cellular networks cannot be used. Hence specific models must be developed. This paper proposes an analytical model for the handover in LEO satellite networks.
