Hybrid optical switching networks make full use of the advantages of Optical Circuit Switching(OCS)and Optical Burst Switching(OBS).In parallel hybrid optical switching networks,edge nodes choose a switching mode for traffic and no longer change.The inflexible decision making of the traffic transfer mode leads to low resource utilization when the arrival rate of the OCS traffic is lower than the capacity of the light path.In this paper,a new transmission scheme is proposed to improve resource utilization for hybrid optical switching networks.When the traffic arrival rate of the light path is lower than the transmission rate of the light path,the OCS traffic flow is reshaped at the edge nodes to generate a series of voids.Then,several message packets are sent along the light path to inform the core nodes of the voids of the light paths that represent the unused bandwidth resources.To improve the resource utilization,the voids can be filled with data bursts by core nodes.The simulation results show that the new scheme can effectively reduce the burst loss rate and improve the link utilization of the hybrid optical switching network on the premise of a providing service quality guarantee for OCS traffic.  相似文献

When semiconductor quantum wells(SQWs) interact with lasers,the group velocity of the low-intensity light pulse is studied theoretically.It is shown that by adjusting the parameters,slow light propagation of the probe field can be exhibited in such a system.Meanwhile,the probe absorption-gain spectra can be changed from absorption to zero,i.e.,electromagnetically induced transparency(EIT).It is easy to observe the light propagation experimentally,and it leads to potential applications in many fields of solid-state quantum information,for example,optical switching,detection and quantum computing.  相似文献

Dynamic detection based on optics sensors and ranging radars is a new method to detect the luminous intensity of flight aid lights. The optics sensors can get the illumination information of each light, the ranging radar gets the distance information, and then data amalgamation technology is used to compute the luminous intensity of each light. A method to modify the errors of this dynamic detection system is presented. It avoids the accumulation error and measurement carrier's excursion error by using peak value detection based on optics sensors to estimate the accurate position of each light, then to modify the lights' lengthways distance information and transverse position information. The performance of the detection and ranging system is validated by some experiments and shown in pictures.  相似文献

Current mainstream unsupervised video object segmentation (UVOS) approaches typically incorporate optical flow as motion information to locate the primary objects in coherent video frames. However, they fuse appearance and motion information without evaluating the quality of the optical flow. When poor-quality optical flow is used for the interaction with the appearance information, it introduces significant noise and leads to a decline in overall performance. To alleviate this issue, we first employ a quality evaluation module (QEM) to evaluate the optical flow. Then, we select high-quality optical flow as motion cues to fuse with the appearance information, which can prevent poor-quality optical flow from diverting the network’s attention. Moreover, we design an appearance-guided fusion module (AGFM) to better integrate appearance and motion information. Extensive experiments on several widely utilized datasets, including DAVIS-16, FBMS-59, and YouTube-Objects, demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms existing methods.  相似文献

Waveguide multilayer optical card (WMOC) is a novel storage device of three-dimensional optical information. An advanced readout system fitting for the WMOC is introduced in this paper. The hardware mainly consists of the light source for reading, WMOC, motorized stages addressing unit, microscope imaging unit, CCD detecting unit and PC controlling & processing unit. The movement of the precision motorized stage is controlled by the computer through Visual Basic (VB) language in software. A control panel is also designed to get the layer address and the page address through which the position of the motorized stages can be changed. In a variety of methods for controlling microscale liquid, the light actuation is particularly interesting. The light actuation offers a novel way to control the flow of fluids for biomedical and biotechnological applications, etc.. The complexity and cost of devices sometimes may be greatly reduced by using complete optical control and may be more flexible in operation than other methods. In order to gain circularly polarized light of left-handed and right-handed rotation by using a fixed device, a left-handed and right-handed rotation double function circular polarizer is designed with two λ/4 retarders and one polarizer, and its operating principle is analysed by matrix optical means. The result indicates that when the monochromatic light enters this circular polarizer in the positive direction and the negative direction,the emergent light should be circularly polarized light, of left-handed and right-handed rotation respectively. A novel scheme for all-optical ultra-wideband triplet signal pulse generation based on the cross-gain modulation (XGM) in a single semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) is demonstrated. In this scheme, only one optical source and one SOA are needed, so the configuration is simple. Due to only one wavelength is included in the generated triplet pulse, no time difference between output signal light and probe light is introduced during the transmission process. By using the software of Optisystem 7.0, the impacts of the input signal width, the optical power and the wavelength of the optical source on the generated triplet pulse are numerically simulated and studied. The results show that the proposed scheme has better triplet signal pulse when the input signal pulse width is larger, and it is insensitive to the wavelength change within a certain range.  相似文献

We present a novel mechanism,which is formed by periodically changing the radii of dielectric rods in the middle row of a photonic crystal,to control and stop light.Using the Bloch theory and coupled-mode theory,the dispersion characteristic of such a photonic crystal coupled cavity optical waveguide is obtained.We also theoretically demonstrate that the group velocity of a light pulse in this system can be modulated by dynamically changing the refractive index or radii of the selected dielectric rods,and the light stopping can be achieved.  相似文献
