The LCL-T resonant converter behaves as a constant-current (CC) source when operated at the resonant frequency. The output voltage of a CC power supply increases linearly with the load resistance. Therefore, a constant-voltage (CV) limit must be incorporated in the converter for its use in practical applications wherein the open-load condition is commonly experienced by a CC power supply, such as in an arc welding power supply. A novel LCL-T resonant converter with clamp diodes is proposed in this paper, which has built-in CC-CV characteristics. Since the CC-CV characteristics are inherent to the converter, and complex feedback control is not required, the proposed converter is rugged and reliable. The principle of operation of the converter is explained. Experimental results on a 500-W prototype are presented to demonstrate the inherent CC-CV behavior of the converter. An integrated flyback power converter performing the combined functions of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and switch-mode power supply (SMPS) is presented. This power converter has a high voltage main power input and a low voltage backup battery input. DC output is obtained from the main input via a flyback power converter during normal operation and from the backup battery via another flyback power converter when input power fails. High conversion efficiency is achieved in normal, backup, and charging modes as there is only a single DC-DC conversion in each mode. The power converter circuit is very simple, with two switching transistors, a relay for mode switching, and a single magnetic structure only. This new design offers substantial improvement in efficiency, size, and cost over the conventional cascade of UPS and SMPS due to single voltage conversion, high frequency switching, and removal of design redundancy. With recent advances in power electronics, dual converter power supply based electric variable-speed drives are significantly used in many industries uses. Power electronic motor drivers are becoming able to efficiently read the inflexible characteristics of DC motor to prerequisites the load. By controlling the input armature voltage, the DC motor speed automatically changed. Half-bridge converter, semi converter, full bridge converter and dual converter are some of the thyristor controlled rectifier circuits are widely used in variable speed drives. In This work presents single phase dual converter power supply system based on adaptive inverse dynamic mode control (AIDMC) technique. The efficient dual converter control solution for industrial network control system (NCS) is proposed based on the industrial grade requirements, designed for low to high voltage operation. As the era of connecting the devices with the cloud is being increased gradually, the proposed method uses an NCS protocol for monitoring as well as controlling the dual converter system. The proposed method provides us the control over forward and reverse rotation, forward and reverse regeneration. From the simulation results, the proposed result offers variable DC voltage which is capable of four quadrant operation of the drive in a speed-torque plane by using MATLAB Simulink environment. A hardware setup also developed to validate the simulation. Over 96% accuracy achieved full load condition for proposed dual converter power supply system based on AIDMC controller.  相似文献

This paper proposes a high-efficiency isolated bridgeless single-ended primary inductor converter (SEPIC) for light-emitting-diode (LED) displays. The proposed isolated SEPIC converter can supply LED back-light power with reduced conduction losses. Switching power losses as well as conduction losses are reduced. The proposed converter is theoretically analysed. Experimental results based on a 28 V, 300 W back-light power are discussed to verify the performance of the proposed converter.  相似文献

Novel floating gate MOSFET (FGMOS) based low-voltage analog circuits such as current-to-voltage converter, current-mode divider and pseudo-exponential function generator are proposed in this paper. The inherent advantages of these circuits are their simplicity, accuracy and low power dissipation. The current-to-voltage converter is operated with a single power supply of 0.9 V. The current-mode divider and pseudo-exponential function generator are operated at supply voltages of ±0.9 V. It was observed that the power dissipation of the current-to-voltage converter is reduced to 12 μW using a single power supply. The power dissipations of the current-mode divider and pseudo-exponential function generator are found to be 356 and 471 μW, respectively. The proposed circuits are simulated using SPICE in 0.5 μm CMOS process technology to demonstrate the feasibility and the effectiveness of the proposed circuits.  相似文献

The authors discuss a power supply configuration based on a switching converter, with reasonably fast dynamic response and low ripple content, so that the linear power supplies can be replaced in four-quadrant DC magnet power supply applications. A new power supply configuration, based on the combination of a frequency converter and a dual converter with circulating current, is proposed for application in four-quadrant DC magnet power supplies. The dual converter is used with circulating current mode for smooth transition of output current polarity. The frequency converter is used at the front of the dual converter to boost the AC line frequency so that the dynamic response can be improved without increasing the ripple content  相似文献

Coupled inductor techniques supply a method to reduce the power converter size and weight and achieve ripple-free current. The boost power converter is a very popular topology in industry. However, the input-current ripple hinders efforts to meet electromagnetic interference (EMI) requirements. In particular, the input current becomes discontinuous and pulsating when the conventional boost power converter operates in the discontinuous inductor-current mode. This paper describes a boost power converter which has the same discontinuous properties as the conventional boost power converter. However, the proposed boost topology has continuous or ripple-free input current when it operates with discontinuous inductor-current. The proposed topology is compared with traditional converter topologies, such as the Sepic and Cuk power converters. Simulation results are presented. The prototype is built to demonstrate the theoretical prediction. The proposed boost topology is simple, with straightforward control [the same as pulse-width modulation (PWM)]  相似文献

在海洋科学研究和海洋观测领域中,水下系统的供电方式大多是岸基负高压传输到海底接驳设备。海底接驳设备中的功率变换器将岸基电源的数千伏至十几千伏的直流高压转换成低压375 V供海底设备供电。针对变换器高电压输入、宽电压范围输入及输入输出电压变比大的技术难点,提出了模块化多电平的LLC谐振变换器拓扑结构,文中对变换器进行了模型搭建和电路仿真,并完成了一台40 kW工程样机的设计,最后根据仿真和实验结果验证了模块化多电平谐振变换器工作原理的正确性及可行性。  相似文献

针对模拟电源效率较低的现状,提出一种基于DSP的数字电源方案。在对LLC谐振全桥变换器工作原理简单分析的基础上,采用DSP TMS320F28335设计了一款输入为DC300-400V,输出为DC48V/12A的原理样机,利用Saber仿真软件对其进行仿真与调试,仿真结果与实验数据表明,本文设计的LLC全桥谐振变换器能够在全负载范围内实现初级零电压开通(ZCS)以及次级零电流关断(ZVS),输出电压纹波小于±0.5%,效率达到95%以上,满足设计要求。结论表明,LLC谐振变换器符合电源高功率密度、高效率的发展要求。  相似文献

An LCL-T resonant converter (LCL-T RC) is shown to behave as a current source when operated at resonant frequency. A detailed analysis of the LCL-T RC for this property is presented. Closed-form expressions for converter gain, component stresses, and the condition for converter design optimized for minimum size of resonant network is derived. A design procedure is illustrated with a prototype 200-W 20-A current-source power supply and experimental results are presented. The LCL-T RC as a current source offers many advantages such as easy parallel operation and low circulating currents at light load. Additionally, with appropriate phase shift in paralleled modules, the peak-peak ripple in output current is reduced and the ripple frequency is increased, reducing filtering requirements. The leakage inductance of a transformer can be advantageously integrated into the resonant network. These merits make the topology applicable in various applications such as magnet power supply, capacitor charging power supply, laser diode drivers, etc.  相似文献

An improved single-phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is proposed that is composed of a series converter and a parallel converter. The series converter regulates the output voltage, and then the parallel converter provides reactive current compensation and battery charging. A fast detection technique of the line voltage is proposed, which has almost zero transition time from the line power mode to the power failure mode. Furthermore, a current controller of the parallel converter for unity power factor is suggested and it is derived using the feedback linearization technique. A current limit technique in the power failure mode is proposed to protect the parallel converter without a system trip under any impulsive load. All control algorithms are implemented in software with a single-chip microcontroller. Experimental results obtained under a 3?kVA prototype show good transient and steady-state performance such as almost negligible transition time, 97% power efficiency and 99% power factor.  相似文献

Noncharacteristic harmonics of significant magnitude are produced at the output and input terminals of phase-controlled power converters under unbalanced voltage supply conditions. The concept of switching functions has been proposed before to evaluate the harmonics produced by a phase-controlled six-pulse power converter under both balanced and unbalanced power supply conditions. This paper extends the switching-functions approach to establish analytical equations for the DC output voltage harmonics produced by 12-, 18-, and 24-pulse power converters. The problem is approached from the standpoint of symmetrical voltage components. The increase in distortion under unbalance is caused by the appearance of a second harmonic component. A method, based on an asymmetrical firing angle, to cancel the second harmonic at the power converter output under unbalanced voltage supply is also presented. Cancellation of the second harmonic improves power converter DC output voltage quality  相似文献
