SAC Delegation Visits AENOR and Signs Cooperation Agreements

正SAC Administrator Tian Shihong led the Chinese delegation to visit the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification(AENOR)on September 15,2014.Mrs.Begona Cristeto,the Vice-Minister of Industry,Energy and Tourism of Spain,and Mr.Avelino Brito,the President and CEO of AENOR greeted the delegation.The two sides had a deep and friendly discussion on strengthening the cooperation between China and Spain in the standardization field and promoting the standardization work to support the development of economy and trade in the two countries.

Network positioning and risk perception in servitization: evidence from the UK road transport industry

For manufacturing firms, the integration of advanced services into their customer offerings has become a crucial decision. Such commercial decisions require weighting the risks and rewards of implementing a business model based on advanced services. While academic experts acknowledge uncertainty of returns on investment despite potential advantages, research generally fails to address the challenge of calculating the actual risks involved in ‘servitization’. This paper seeks better understanding of managers’ risk perception and of servitization implications for strategic partnerships and network positioning, while considering the impact of factors such as entry barriers, technological knowledge and position in the supply chain (SC). Qualitative evidence is drawn from an industrial case study involving firms in the UK’s road transport industry: 14 in-depth interviews with senior executives from seven companies (manufacturers, operators, technology providers). During interviews, a payment card exercise measured risk perception and willingness to take strategic ‘make-or-buy’ decisions. Results suggest that implementing advanced services is perceived as a high-risk strategy, especially when firms lack in-house technological knowledge. However, collaborative strategic partnerships within supply chain networks can mitigate this risk and prove crucial to building entry barriers against external competitors. Based on these findings, implications for network positioning are developed.

以交易成本理论为出发点，提出了企业选择资源配置机制的准则，阐述了供应链战略合作伙伴关系形成和运行的原因和条件，比较分析了各种资源配置机制的特征和适用条件。最后提出了供应链战略合作伙伴关系应具有的功能，指出并论证了企业应减少供应商数目，建立与供应商长期的关系。     

Identification of Critical Success Factors for Construction Innovation: From the Perspective of Strategic Cooperation

Nowadays, China is in the period of industrialization, modernization and urbanization. The investment to the infrastructure is increasing which requires the support from construction innovation. Construction innovation is project-based cooperative innovation. The innovation based cooperation not only focuses inside the boundary of project, but also emphasizes the long-term strategic cooperation among the participants of innovation network. Therefore, it is significant to explore the Critical Success Factors (CSFs) of construction innovation based on the viewpoint of strategic cooperation. This paper first presents the definition and characteristics of construction innovation. By tracking the international frontiers, the authors studied a great number of literatures on the influence elements of construction innovation. Combining the effort of literature review and expert interview, this present paper identified 20 CSFs for construction innovation, which is verified and perfected by a case study in the end. The findings of this research will be of great importance for guiding the practice of construction innovation in China.
