We have investigated the magnetic susceptibility, , and the thermal conductivity, , in magnetic fields for the four-leg spin-ladder system La2Cu2O5 single crystal. The in a magnetic field parallel to the ladder exhibits a kink at 130 K in correspondence to the magnetic ordering. The along the ladder exhibits a peak at 25 K and a shoulder at 14 K, which are probably related to the thermal conductivity due to magnons, magnon, and that due to phonons, phonon, respectively. The perpendicular to the ladder, on the other hand, exhibits only one broad peak related to phonon. The observed large anisotropy of has been explained based upon the anisotropy of magnon.  相似文献

The details of structure modification on 2/ interface induced by deformation in a hot-deformed Ti-45Al-10Nb alloy were investigated by conventional and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. A new type of dislocation ledge containing 1/3[111] partials was identified. The Burgers vectors of these dislocation ledges were determined to be 1/2[110] or 1/2101]. The formation mechanism of this new type of dislocation ledge is discussed. Also, two types of hot deformation induced 2/ interfaces, coherent interfaces with high density of ledges and misoriented semi-coherent 2/ interfacial boundaries were observed. For the misoriented semi-coherent 2 interfaces, the density of dislocation ledges in these interfaces increases with the misoriented angle between the (111) and (0001) planes, and 1/3[111] partial dislocations were involved in all the dislocation ledges. The formation mechanism of these deformation-induced 2/ interfaces were discussed related to the role of 2/ interfaces adjusting the deformation as a dislocation sink absorbing the slipping dislocations in the phase. Moreover, misoriented semi-coherent 2 interface related deformation twinning and structure transformation induced by deformation were analyzed and discussed related to the role of 2/ interfaces as a dislocation source during deformation.  相似文献

The two-site model is developed for the analysis of stress relaxation data. It is shown that the product of d In (– )/d and (- i) is constant where is the applied stress, i is the (deformation-induced) internal stress and = d/dt. The quantity d In ( )/d is often presented in the literature as the (experimental) activation volume, and there are many examples in which the above relationship with (- i) holds true. This is in apparent contradiction to the arguments that lead to the association of the quantity d In (– )/d with the activation volume, since these normally start with the premise that the activation volume is independent of stress. In the modified theory presented here the source of this anomaly is apparent. Similar anomalies arise in the estimation of activation volume from creep or constant strain rate tests and these are also examined from the standpoint of the site model theory. In the derivation presented here full account is taken of the site population distribution and this is the major difference compared to most other analyses. The predicted behaviour is identical to that obtained with the standard linear solid. Consideration is also given to the orientation-dependence of stress-aided activation.  相似文献

We performed experimental investigation of the opening displacements of the contours of stress concentrators (notches and cracks) for various amplitudes of cyclic loading. On the basis of experimental results, we propose a new deformation parameter t which is a function of the notch (crack) tip opening displacement , namely, t /(+d*), where is the radius of the tip of the notch andd* is the characteristic size of the prefracture zone. It is shown that this parameter uniquely determines the number of cyclesN l to the initiation of a fatigue macrocrack independently of the geometry of the specimens and stress concentrators in elastic and elastoplastic materials, i.e., the dependence of t onN 1 is a characteristic of the material. Phase decomposition behaviour of liquid-quenched (bcc) type Ti-Cr alloys was investigated by means of transmission electron microscopy and hardness measurements. It was found that decomposition of to 1 (Ti-rich, bcc) + 2 (Ti-lean, bcc) takes place in the intermediate composition range of the Ti-Cr system. This experimental result proves the theoretical prediction made by Menon and Aaronson, but the observed 1 + 2 two-phase field expands towards higher temperatures than the predicted binodal line. The coherent 1 + 2 two-phase state exhibits the so-called 100 modulated structure and it was concluded that the formation of such a structure is a result of spinodal decomposition of the -phase. We obtained time-temperature-transformation (TTT) diagrams of -type Ti-30, 40 and 50 at % Cr alloys. A typical sequence of structural change is coherent 1 + 2 incoherent 1 + 2 incoherent 1 + 2 + grain boundary precipitates stable state of + TiCr2 or + TiCr2. Not all the states in the above sequence appear, depending on alloy composition, liquid-quenching rate and ageing temperature.  相似文献

Some electrical properties of hot-pressed lithium sialons, Li x/8Si6–3x/4Al5x/8O x N8–x havingx<5 and an yttrium sialon were measured between 291 and 775 K; the former consisted essentially of a single crystalline phase whereas the latter contained 98% glassy phase. For lithium sialons, the charging and discharging current followed al(t) t –nlaw withn=0.8 at room temperature. The d.c. conductivities were about 10–13 ohm–1 cm–1 at 291 K and rose to 5×10–7 ohm–1 cm–1 at 775 K. At high temperatures electrode polarization effects were observed in d.c. measurements. The variation of the conductivity over the frequency range 200 Hz to 9.3 GHz followed the () n law. The data also fitted the Universal dielectric law,() n–1 well, and approximately fitted the Kramers-Kronig relation()/()– =cot (n/2) withn decreasing from 0.95 at 291 K to 0.4 at 775 K. The temperature variations of conductivities did not fit linearly in Arrhenius plots. Very similar behaviour was observed for yttrium sialon except that no electrode polarization was observed. The results have been compared with those obtained previously for pure sialon; the most striking feature revealed being that d.c. for lithium sialon can be at least 103 times higher than that of pure sialon. Interpretation of the data in terms of hopping conduction suggests that very similar processes are involved in all three classes of sialon.  相似文献

We have performed high-resolution measurements of the magnetic field (0 TB9 T) and temperature (10 KT<140 K) dependence of the longitudinal and transverse Hall thermal conductivity of a twinned YBa2Cu3O6.95 single crystal. We have used and compared two recently published methods to extract the thermal Hall angle H(T, B). Our results indicate that cot(H) varies quite accurately as T4 in the intermediate temperature range 0.3c. It shows a well defined minimum at Tm20 K which resembles that observed in the c-axis microwave conductivity. The electronic part of the longitudinal and the transverse thermal conductivity show the scaling behavior for transport properties predicted for d-wave superconductors in the temperature range 18 KT30 K.  相似文献

We compare full potential LDA band calculations of the Fermi surfaces areas and band masses of MgB2 and ZrB2 previously reported and new dHvA data. Discrepancies in areas in MgB2 can be removed by a small shift of bands relative to bands. Comparison of effective masses lead to orbit averaged el-ph coupling constants =1.3 and =0.5, whereas for ZrB2 only weak el-ph coupling with <0.3 is found. The ARPES data can be also well described by the LDA showing the presence of surface states.  相似文献

The interaction of an applied stress with the displacive shear during the martensitic transformation determined theK-S variants which formed in three types of tensile specimens, with tensile directions of 0°, 45° and 90° to a rolling direction respectively. The 3–6, 4–5 and 1–3 variants in a 0°-specimen, 1–5 and 4–5 variants in a 45°-specimen and 4-4 and 3–6 variants in a 90°-specimen are chosen asK-S variants which have the maximum value ofU/ in respective tensile directions. Measurements of the acoustic attenuation and dispersion in liquid 3He-4He mixtures near the superfluid transition T (x) are reported. The frequency range is /2gp=1–45 MHz and the 3He mole fraction X of the mixtures is 0.007, 0.05, 0.15, and 0.36. Comparisons are made with the measurements of Buchal and Pobell for similar mixtures obtained in the kHz region, and on the whole, the consistency between the two experiments is very satisfactory. An analysis is then performed using both the kHz and MHz data. In the normal phase, where the energy dissipation is caused by order parameter fluctuations having a lifetime F , the attenuation data can all be scaled according to the expression = (T )f(F. Here (T )1+y, with y being a function of the mole fraction X and F(TT )–x, with x increasing weakly with X. In the superfluid phase, we attempt a similar scaling representation, which is found to be fairly successful, but where x(T\s-T ) is roughly 15% larger than x(T>T ). In the superfluid phase we also analyze the attenuation data, assuming the additivity of relaxation and fluctuation-dissipation mechanism, and discuss the relaxation times so derived. In contrast to the attenuation, the dispersion data cannot be brought satisfactorily into a scaling representation. However, at T , we find U()-U(0)y as predicted by Kawasaki, where y is in good agreement with the values from attenuation experiments.Supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation.  相似文献

AC electrical properties of 410 nm think 30 at.wt% Cu-70 at.wt% GeO2 thin films are reported for the frequency range 104 to 106 Hz and temperature range 150 to 425 K. The loss tangent (tan ) and the dielectric loss (/0) are found to show striking minima around a cut-off frequency 105 Hz. In the lower frequency range (105 Hz), 1() s T n is obeyed with s (0 to 0.51) increasing as a function of temperature and n (0.10 to 0.14) showing a very weak temperature dependence. In the higher frequency region (105 Hz), 1() and /0 increase sharply leading to the quadratic behavior of 1() with s equal to 2. These processes are discussed by analyzing an equivalent circuit which shows that at lower frequencies, the effects of series resistance in leads and contacts can be neglected, while at higher frequencies such effect give rise to spurious 2 dependance for the conductance. A weakly activated AC conductivity and a frequency exponent s that increases with increasing temperature suggest that the low frequency behavior originates from carrier migration by tunneling process.  相似文献

The microstructural development of the Al-Li-Cu-Mg-Zr alloy 8090 has been studied after autogenous CO2 laser welding. Sheets ranging in thickness from 1–4 mm were welded at speeds of between 20–120 mm s–1 and powers from 1.5–3.8 kW. Optical microscopy, scanning and transmission electron microscopy were used to study the as-received base metal, the heat-affected zone and the solidified fusion zone. The base metal was supplied in a superplastically formable condition and thus had an unrecrystallized grain structure containing 1–2 m sized sub-grains with sub-micrometre and precipitates in the matrix. In the fusion zone, the as-solidified grain structure was columnar at the interface with the base metal but became equiaxed in the central region of the weld pool. The weld depth and top bead width both increased with decreasing welding speed and increasing beam power within the limits investigated. The fusion zone microstructure was cellular-dendritic. Intermetallic precipitates, which are rich in copper, magnesium, silicon (and presumably lithium), formed in the cell/dendrite boundaries. Very fine-scale precipitates were present in the as-solidified -Al matrix but there was no evidence for the , S and T1 phases. The heat-affected zone was only 100 m wide and was characterized by regions of partial melting. Radiographs of welds reveal that porosity occurred predominantly along the weld centre-line. In partial penetration welds, two types of pores were observed: near spherical and irregular. However, in fully penetrating welds, only the spherical type of porosity was present. Overall volume fractions of porosity were measured from metallographic sections and were found to vary with welding speed and weld type, i.e. partial or full penetration.  相似文献

A gas of spin 1/2 fermions with an interaction V+W = -||-1 k,k g k,k(k)(k) b k b -k - 2 k(k)n k+ n k-, where n = a , b k = a k+ a k- and a k, satisfy Fermi anticommutation relations, is investigated in the -pairing case. W+V4 is nonzero only within a thin layer of one-fermion energies around the chemical potential , and (k) denotes the characteristic function of the corresponding range of momenta. Two cases are studied: 10 = 0, 20 = 0.10025 eV. In the first case the system exhibits a first order transition, in the second, the transition is second order. Temperature dependence of the system's thermodynamic functions is examined and compared with that of the s-pairing case.  相似文献

The effect of the grain size of the filler on the mechanical properties (compressive, bending, and tensile strength and modulus of elasticity) of synthetic graphite is analyzed using data for commercial structural graphites. As the mean particle size of the filler (av) decreases from 3000 to 1 m, the modulus of elasticity increases, on the average, from 10 to 15 GPa, and the compressive, bending, and tensile strength increases by about one order of magnitude. The Griffith equation is used to evaluate the size of defects that initiate fracture (c c) in different types of graphites. It is shown that the factors determining the critical defect size depend on the particle size of the filler. For av > 150 m, c c is comparable to av or max. In the range 30 < av < 150 m, c c is equal to or greater than max. In graphites with av < 30 m, c c far exceeds max and, presumably, corresponds to the particle size of the molding powder.  相似文献

Comparison of the measured microwave response in the presence of a dc current in narrow films of tin nearT c with the results from microscopic theory shows good agreement. Nonequilibrium effects become important when the frequency becomes of the order of the inverse inelastic relaxation time E –1 (k B T c 3 / D 2 ) (D is the Debye temperature) even if remains well below the gap frequency 0(T)/.  相似文献
