To deal with time delay in the interconnection and dead-zone nonlinearity in the input, a new decentralized variable structure control (DVSC) law is proposed for a class of uncertain large-scale system (LSS) in this paper. The developed DVSC for the interconnected systems is realized independently through the delay terms. The applied control effort of the DVSC law is always out of the dead-band to eliminate the effects arisen from the dead-zone nonlinearity in the input function. In the sliding mode, it can be seen that the invariance condition also holds. It is worth noting that the traditional large-scale time-delayed system is only a special case in this work. Illustrative examples are given to verify the validity of the developed controller.  相似文献

A modified VS feedback is suggested for robust stabilization of continuous-time dynamical systems in the presence of parametric and external time-varying disturbances satisfying the ‘matching conditions’. The main feature of the proposed algorithm is that it contains additional switching ‘integral’ terms which track the unknown disturbances and make it possible to achieve the typical VSS robustness by using switching terms in the control law with arbitrarily small amplitude. This result can be achieved only if the derivatives of the disturbances are bounded.  相似文献

In this paper, a decentralized variable structure controller for a class of large-scale systems with mismatched uncertainties is proposed. In every subsystem, two sets of switching surfaces is introduced. New invariance conditions are derived such that the system in the new sliding mode is completely invariant to both matched and mismatched uncertainties. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme, a decentralized variable structure controller is synthesized to perform the new sliding mode. The output tracking control problem for nonlinear systems in the presence of both parameter perturbations and external disturbances is studied. Our approach is based on the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy modeling method and a variable structure control (VSC) technique. Therefore, the systems considered are not and need not be in the triangular and parametric strict-feedback form, which are prevalent among adaptive model following control for nonlinear systems, or in the normal form, which pervades almost all existing results in neuro-fuzzy model following control approach. We first study the problem of stabilization of T-S fuzzy systems by using a VSC technique. A method for the design of a switching surface based on linear matrix inequalities is developed and a stabilizing controller based on a reaching law concept in the presence of both parameter perturbations and external disturbances is proposed. Then, the method is extended to design controllers for output tracking of T-S fuzzy nonlinear systems in two cases, i.e. systems which possess the so-called strong passive subsystems and strong stable zero dynamics, respectively. Finally, illustrative examples are presented to demonstrate the whole design procedure from the original nonlinear systems to their fuzzification and finally to the realization of the desired controllers. Simulation results show that the goal of output tracking can be achieved by the proposed controllers.  相似文献

This paper investigates the problem of decentralized stabilization via saturated delayed feedback. First, a new class of saturated delayed feedback controllers is proposed for a class of single-input feedforward nonlinear systems. Then, this design scheme is generalized for the setting of decentralized feedforward systems using saturated time-delayed feedback. The stability analysis for the closed-loop decentralized systems is rather simple based on the proposed feedback structure.  相似文献

It is well known that the major cause of instability in industrial cement ball mills is the so-called plugging phenomenon. A novel neural network adaptive control scheme for cement milling circuits that is able to fully prevent the mill from plugging is presented. Estimates of the one-step-ahead errors in control signals are calculated through a neural predictive model and used for controller tuning. A robust on-line learning algorithm, based on sliding mode control (SMC) theory is applied to both: to the controller and to the model as well. The proposed approach allows handling of mismatches, uncertainties and parameter changes in the model of the mill. The simulation results from indicate that both the neural model and the controller inherit the major advantages of SMC, i.e. robustness. Furthermore, learning is achieved in a rapid manner.  相似文献

Reachability conditions are developed for discrete single-input-single-output variable structure control systems described by linear mathematical models in general state-space form to reach a switching function from anywhere in state space. Stability conditions of a sliding mode are investigated. A modified algorithm is proposed to simplify the design procedure. Practical application to a thermal process has been achieved by using the modified algorithm to show the potential for development and practical results are compared with those using the classical PID controller design.  相似文献

This article is concerned with the output tracking control problem for a class of nonlinear switched cascade systems under some average dwell-time-based switching laws. Firstly, stabilisation problem of this class of switched systems is considered. Then, the result is extended to the output tracking control problem. Based on the variable structure control technique and the characteristic of the system, the variable structure controllers and the average dwell-time are designed. This paper considers the problem of stabilizing a linear time-invariant multivariable system by using several local feedback control laws. Each local feedback control law depends only on partial system outputs. A necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of local control laws with dynamic compensation to stabilize a given system is derived. This condition is stated in terms of a new notion, called "fixed modes," which is a natural generalization of the well-known concept of uncontrollable modes and unobservable modes that occur in centralized control system problems. A procedure that constructs a set of stabilizing feedback control laws is given.  相似文献

In this paper, local stabilisation is considered for a class of affine nonlinear control systems with uncertainties involving time‐varying delay. It is not assumed that either the dimension of the inputs is equal to the dimension of the outputs or that the nominal system is linearisable or partially linearisable. The bounds on both the matched and mismatched uncertainties are nonlinear and time delayed. A static output feedback variable structure control is synthesized to stabilise the system uniformly asymptotically. A control strategy to enforce exponential stability is also derived. The Lyapunov–Razumikhin approach is used to deal with the effect of the time delay, and the bounds on the uncertainties are used in the control design to enhance the robustness. The designed control does not depend on the time delay, and thus, it is not required that the time delay is known. Finally, the obtained results are tested on a simple mechanical system through simulation. The simulation results show that the proposed approach is effective and feasible. Based on the variable structure control (VSC) theory, we develop an adaptive fuzzy control system design method for uncertain Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy models with norm-bounded uncertainties. We relax the restrictive assumptions that each nominal local system model shares the same input channel and the norm bound of the uncertainty is known, which are usually invoked in the traditional VSC-based fuzzy control design methods. As the local controller we use a VSC law with a switching feedback control term and an adaptation law to account for the norm-bounded uncertainties. In terms of LMIs, we derive a sufficient condition for the existence of linear sliding surfaces guaranteeing the asymptotic stability. We present an LMI characterization of such sliding surfaces. We also give an LMI-based design algorithm, together with a numerical design example.  相似文献

This paper studies the problem of decentralized measurement feedback stabilization of nonlinear interconnected systems. As a natural extension of the recent development on control vector Lyapunov functions, the notion of output control vector Lyapunov function (OCVLF) is introduced for investigating decentralized measurement feedback stabilization problems. Sufficient conditions on (local) stabilizability are discussed which are based on the proposed notion of OCVLF. It is shown that a decentralized controller for a nonlinear interconnected system can be constructed using these conditions under an additional vector dissipation-like condition. To overcome the effect of modeling errors between nonlinear multiple time-delay subsystems and Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy models with multiple time delays, a robustness design of fuzzy control is proposed in This work. In terms of Lyapunov's direct method, a delay-dependent stability criterion is hence derived to guarantee the asymptotic stability of nonlinear multiple time-delay large-scale systems. Based on this criterion and the decentralized control scheme, a set of model-based fuzzy controllers is then synthesized via the technique of parallel distributed compensation (PDC) to stabilize the nonlinear multiple time-delay large-scale system. A highly robust position controller for brushless direct drive servo motors (BLDDSM) is presented using a new improved variable structure system with an integral-augmented sliding surface. With the proposed technique, the reaching phase is completely removed by the integral sliding surface. The dynamics of its ideal sliding mode is analytically obtained from a given initial condition to the origin without any reaching phase. In order to choose a suitable integral sliding surface, the optimal regulator theory is effectively applied. Moreover, the suggested control technique can exhibit the output response identical to that previously designed in the integral sliding surface for all the load variations and parameter uncertainties. The usefulness of the proposed algorithm is illustrated through the comparative experiment studies on the position controls of BLDDSM under load variations.  相似文献

This paper investigates the stability and stabilization problems for the fuzzy large-scale system in which the system is composed of a number of Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model subsystems with interconnections. The stability criterion of the fuzzy large-scale system without control is derived first. Instead of fuzzy parallel distributed compensation design, linear state feedback control is used in the stabilization work. Each local control is obtained from Riccati equation of the corresponding subsystem and the interconnection terms are used to determine the local feedback gain determination. Based on Lyapunov criterion, some conditions are derived under which the whole fuzzy large-scale system is stabilized asymptotically. A numerical example is given to illustrate the control design procedure and its effectiveness.  相似文献
