The waste engine oil (WEO) on the rheological characteristics of asphalt were studied. Two types of asphalt binders and five WEO contents (2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10% wt. %) were selected to prepare WEO modified asphalt samples. Results indicated that both WEO modified asphalt had lower elastic portion, thermal susceptibility, Zero shear viscosity (ZSV), and rutting resistance, but had higher fatigue resistance and temperature sensitivity. Moreover, the effect of waste engine oil on pure asphalt is more significant than SBS modified asphalt. 相似文献

Pyrolysis experiments were conducted at atmospheric pressure in a batch reactor ranging from room temperature until 420?°C. The suitable heating rate was studied by keeping constant the reaction temperature at several levels (300, 320, 340, 360, 380 and 400?°C) for 60?min. by application the best heating program; MgO and Al2O3 additives are examined at various proportions (1, 2, 3, 4 and 5% by weight). It has been shown that the addition of MgO (1-2% by wt.) leads to a supplemental improvements in the DLF quality where the properties are the closet to those of conventional diesel fuel. 相似文献

Brazil is a highlight in the ranking of maize cooking oil production, which after consumption generates a significant amount of waste that the improper disposal of it, which could seriously affect the sewage pipes, groundwater, and soil. This research study the incorporation of 1%, 2%, and 3% of soybean (new and waste) in asphalt binder. The samples were analyzed by FTIR and frequency sweep tests. The results indicate that the optimum oil content is in the range of 1–2%, regardless of being new or residual. In the temperature sweep, it was found that the asphalt binder 55/75-E showed a smaller phase angle in all mixtures compared to the asphalt binder 50/70, thus having a better elastic recovery. 相似文献

The viscous-elastic behavior, noise reduction and viscosity-temperature susceptibility of aged SBS modified asphalt (SBSMA) incorporated with fluid catalytic cracking slurry (FCC) and Trimethylolpropane triglycidyl ether (TMPGE) were investigated. The results indicate that the viscous-elastic temperature of rejuvenated binder will shift to a lower temperature due to the asphaltic composition adjustment and the agglomerate dispersion of the rejuvenators on aged binder; the viscous loss of binders relies upon their irreversible deformation; the rejuvenated binder makes contributions on reducing the vibration noise in comparison with aged one; the rejuvenated binder has a low viscosity that suitable for processing and pumping, and exhibits a weakening viscous-temperature susceptibility. 相似文献

The goal of this study was to study the anti-wear properties of grease formulated from waste engine oil (WEO) when additives are added. There were two types of grease formulated namely sodium and fumed silica (FS) greases. The greases were formulated using a weight percentage ratio with and without the addition of additives before the attributes of consistency, FTIR (Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy), and anti-wear analysis were conducted. Results showed that the addition of additives did not affect the properties of the formulated grease except for that of sodium grease as demonstrated by the FTIR result. Sodium grease produced a spectrum with a peak in the region < 600 cm?1 when analyzed using FTIR. The corrosiveness of the grease toward the copper strip was also low, as determined by class 1 corrosiveness. The addition of additives resulted in no improvement in the anti-wear properties of the grease as the coefficient of friction (COF) was low for the grease without additives than for the grease with additives. However, the addition of additives can reduce the wear scar diameter of the greases. Based on the findings of this investigation, it was found that the addition of additives did not alter the properties of the greases or improve the anti-wear properties of the greases except for the wear scar diameter. 相似文献

In the present research study, the fatigue behavior of modified asphalt with crumb rubber (CR) and styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) are investigated. Each of these additives was mixed with a 85–100 neat bitumen at two different dosages. The time sweep test was used to investigate the viscoelastic fatigue properties of asphalt binders in terms of energy dissipation. Linear amplitude sweep tests were conducted to study the fatigue life of asphalt binders under varying loads based on the concepts of viscoelastic continuum damage mechanics. Results showed that adding CR and SBS can enhance the fatigue resistance of modified asphalts based on the energy approach and viscoelastic continuum damage analysis. 相似文献

AbstractThe aim of this study is to investigate the physical and rheological properties of modified asphalt binders with barium sulfate (BaSO4) nanoparticles. The penetration grade test and the softening point test on the controlled and modified asphalt binders showed that the presence of nanoparticles improved the physical properties of asphalt binders. Dynamic shear rheometer (DSR) test was performed on the main and modified asphalt binders in unaged and short-term aged modes. The asphalt binders containing 2% of nanoparticles in each of the unaged and short-term aged modes have the maximum value of rutting parameter at all temperatures. 相似文献

FCC油浆糠醛抽出油富含芳香组分,是良好的道路沥青调合分。用FCC油浆糠醛抽出油溶胀预处理胶粉制备改性沥青,考察了胶粉含量和胶油比双因素对改性沥青性能的影响,同时使用扫描电子显微镜和荧光显微镜对胶粉和改性沥青的微观形态进行分析。研究结果表明,使用FCC油浆糠醛抽出油溶胀预处理胶粉可制备出性能良好的改性沥青。尤其是随着胶粉含量的增加,沥青的软化点和低温延度明显得到了改善。当胶粉质量分数为25%,胶油比控制在4~7时改性沥青的基本性能和老化性能良好,热储存稳定性最佳。 相似文献

AbstractThe effects of different types (red, black and blue color) and content (2% and 4%) of thermochromic powders on aging properties of styrene-butadiene-styrene copolymer (SBS) modified asphalt were investigated. Physical properties of the binders (ductility, penetration, viscosity and softening point) were tested before and after thermal-oxidative and ultraviolet radiation aging. The results showed thermochromic powders improved the deformability and weakened the high-temperature performance of SBS modified asphalt to some extent. Thermochromic powders could obviously improve the anti-aging properties of SBS modified asphalt. In addition, SBS modified asphalt with 2% thermochromic materials showed the best aging resistance under all aging modes. 相似文献
